Great service right off the bat my glass was never empty. I ordered the multi grain pancakes with bacon and eggs. I'm not kidding when I say these are the best pancakes I've ever had!!! However the eggs seemed fake but not bad the bacon was crisp and tasty though.

High quality food and extremely affordable! The atmosphere isn't the best, but not bad enough to downgrade any stars. Besides, non-smoking is a huge plus in this town!

Awesome comfort food, great kids menu and on Monday and Tuesday kids eat free. They also have a great selection of pie! Their food is just good basic home cooking which is a nice break from some of the "gourmet" menus that are popping up at many other restaraunts.

My family keeps going back to this wonderful place. We cannot get enough of JJ's tenderloins, chicken-fried chicken, chicken tenders, cornbread, fried okra, mashed potatoes (ok, you get the idea)! We have no reasn to believe most, if not all, their dishes are hand-made. Service is usually very promt and the servers are always friendly. Breakfast is also very delicious! For dependable, home-style, comfort food this IS our go-to restaurant!

At here once but never again! Food wasn't bad but service was terrible. Took 45 minutes to get our order. And these people have their tv's tuned to Fox News which proves how stupid the management is. A smart business does not want to piss off customers by portraying a political slant...a smart business would turn on ESPN or a station that is non political...good luck!!

It is your average country cookin. They have big tenderloins that seem to be hand breaded. Past that it feels like a mix of pre prepared frozen food and some actual home cooking.

Eaten here twice in he last month. Both times kind of late in the evening and service was outstanding. Food was excellent. Wife loved her liver and onions, ack. I've had the chicken fried chicken and the chicken pot pie, both awesome. Kids found things they loved too. Portions were perfect, and we left very satisfied. We will be back.

Although the restaurant is in need of some renovations, the food is decent for the price. The Onion Rings are homemade and very good. Unfortunately, avoid the Tenderloin Sandwich as there is not very much meat and lots of breading. Daughter had the open face Roast Beef and enjoyed it very much. Son had a double cheeseburger with bacon and the bacon was very crispy and the cheese was melted to perfection. The booth we were sitting in needed repairs, but the food was good quality.

I'm very concerned this restaurant is slipping. The last 2-3 times the owner is not visible in the restaurant dining area. The process change for customers to pay the wait staff means delays in paying and leaving. Today during lunch, the restaurant was mostly empty on Taco day. Plus, our Taco order took a very long time to come out of the kitchen. Come on J.J's don't let your business go to pot!

Food was good, and so was the service. Restaurant needs a bit of updating. We tried this place after visiting The James Farm, and we were looking to eat somewhere local. One of the workers at the farm suggested this place. It was lunchtime, I had the grilled chicken sandwich and fries, and was pleased with it. Not much more I can say, it didn't "wow" me, nothing fancy, and that's ok, and if someone asks if they should eat there I'd say yes, but don't make a special trip for it. But would pick this place any day over a chain and/or fast food place if I'm in that area.

Good food, prices aren't bad either. It's kind of hit and miss with service. There's been times where it's been great and other times it was lacking.

There were 4 of us, 2 adults and 2 kids. We stopped for lunch while traveling to KC. Very hard to find, is actually in a small strip mall on south side of street. We nearly got back in interstate. After seeing their signs, thought a reasonable place to try, as opposed to all the chain places. Why don't they spend some money on a sign near where they are located? Food was good, I ordered the Tenderloin and for me it was good. Better than a chain would stop again

The food here was absolutely delicious, yummy Southern cooking!!!!! You get a lot of it as well and will not leave hungry!!! Great service! Restaurant could use a little updating, but the food more than makes up for the decor!!! Will stop here again next time we come through this way!!!
