Best franchise steakhouse in town! I definitely recommend using their app or going online to make a reservation because they will be slammed starting around 5pm. Of course the Blooming Onion is off the top, but their Crab & Avocado app is OUTSTANDING! Service has always been great, and steaks have never disappointed.

Its Mother's Day and my son took me to Outback. This is actually on of my favorite places to eat steak, but today was different. Our appetizer never arrived; our waitress didnt even notice. As far as the rest of the meal, the steak was amazing. Would have had a baked potato but the oven wasn't working. Left feeling a lil bittersweet. I will come back, just not the best experience for Mother's Day

If this wasn't right by I-44 and the hotel disctrict it would have been closed years ago. No one from Joplin eats here unless they have a gift card or forgot to make prom reservations.

Thank you Mike for taking care of a sensitive issue for me. I wanted to get gift certificates for a person that had her house burn down. I called the night before and no one could handle it for me (no problem). Mike not only took care of it , but also gave her a free meal. Good people make good businesses and I hope someone puts this in his file with a HUGE thank you. Mike Thank you for a easy transaction.

Great layout and spacious bar. Enjoyed an Iced Tea, tortilla soup, and steak salad while watching the football game on their big screen TV. The cup of tortilla soup was a perfect size and tasted great. The salad was great as well. The bartenders and servers are prompt and are attentive to your dining needs.

Excellent service, food, quality, and punctuality. I never write any reviews but this restaurant deserves one. I ordered take away food and as soon as I parked in the restaurant's parking lot the waiter came to my car to deliver me my order! I'm on vacation in Joplin and this is a restaurant you must go to if you're here!

Steak was way to stringy and broccoli was all stems. Will not be stoping by for a long time.

Ordered carry out. Took 30 min to get order. Food was terrible. Food was too salty. I would avoid going here if other options exist nearby.

Had a great meal here tonight, we were astounded at how good the service was by our waiter & how promptly all meals came out! We ordered the Wednesday special which was a bargain for two coming in at $42 for a starter of cheese fries, 2 ceasar salads, side of broccoli, side of garlic mash, prime rib, 6oz sirloin and a chocolate thunder along with a lemonade! Absolute bargain meal and everything was delicious. We walked out very satisfied customers and would be back again If we were ever in the area!

If you don't like a peppery flavor on basically, everything, Outback Steakhouse is not for you. I'm in no hurry to rush back. We were celebrating a bit as a family and chose the nicest place we saw, Outback. Steak sounded great and ours were all cooked to our specifications. I am not the only one that thought the pepper was too much though. It didn't keep any of us from eating our steak, but we did have a few scraps for our dogs. The blue cheese chopped salad was SO good. The spinach dip, delish. Our cheesecake, yuuummm... and the service was next to impeccable. I have been to other Outbacks across the country, but it has been several years. I don't remember the heavy pepper from other locations. I will try others, I just now know to ask them not to pepper my steak on the grill. 5 dinners, (water all around) 1 app 5 steak dinners + tip $120.

Expensive, small portions, and nasty bread. I usually only come here if a friend or family member insists.

Very good steak, great salad, and all you can eat bread. It's easy to split a steak, get an extra salad and both leave very satisfied.

Very disappointed, bar tender ruined my others 90th birthday. Cannot recommend, food was fair, service frustrating. Try Cheddars instead...

Food is consistent. Bar service is better than dining room. Female manager is horrible, I've watched her fail on multiple occasions. Even forcing guests to get up and leave

Nice selection but unfortunately everything is slathered in pepper. Not my cup of tea. Also you have to be prepared to scoot over because the wait staff will want to air with you at your table while taking your order whether you want them to or not. I don't even want my own children sitting with me..... Why would I want strangers making themselves at home at my table when I go out?

Ok, I normally don't review chains. This Outback Steakhouse has caused me to break that cycle....briefly. Aside from the usual door greeter, which I think I've become numb with, the actual service barside is where the action is. I had the pleasure of meeting two bartenders who really seemed to enjoy their work. They even put a name tag in front of me on the bar, so the wouldn't forget my name. Seems silly, although a nice touch. I ordered the Clam Chowder (made in house), a Kansas City Strip (medium) with green beans. When the 'chowda' arrived I was just about to get into it when the steak arrived. Figured the cooks were being efficient and was making space when the manager came over and told the server to take the steak back so I could enjoy my soup. Sort of felt bad, though I did appreciate the gesture. They made a new steak for me and it was very good, I've never had a Kansas City Strip and will add this to my steak rotation. The green beans were crisp, just the way I like them. I'll be here on business over the next few weeks and definitely plan on coming back. The one drawback with this place, it really applies to all restaurants in the Missouri, is that they allow smoking inside. No matter where you are, the smoke wil waft over. Sort of surprising to see such a smoker-friendly environment and I don't mean that in a good way.

We recently went here for Father's Day. We laid down 60 bucks for 3 people which isn't all that bad for a steakhouse, but only one of us got a steak. I love the bread and the atmosphere here. If you like the Outback chain, give this one a shot.
