Went there about two months ago while visiting the family, it was a Sunday and we got ok service. The food came out fast and tasted good, the server was nice, but my only complaint was how slow the drinks came from the bar. All I wanted to do was drink a few mixed drinks and it took foooorrrrreeeeever.

Always great service, our wait never seems longer than 30 minutes. Food is always exceptional, fresh and tasty.

Pretty typical Olive Garden. The soup portions were quite small. The food was good. The service was good, even with them being very busy.

Not finely crafted Italian, it's Olive Garden. Having said that, I like it or would come here so often. Salad is great, Alfredo is delish & toasted rav rocks. Most things here are good so, Live it up!

Ordered ahead while traveling to find our food completed with all necessary accompaniments to make our car resided dining experience the best it could of been. I normally would not eat at OG but Tina G.,who compiled our To-Go order, may just have made me look at OG again, especially while on the road. Well Done! The Chicken Gnocchi Soup and Portobello Ravioli was better than I remember this place serving as well. Food was a 4 for what it is as a Darden Chain. Service was a 5.

We eat here on occasion, but our most recent visit makes us reluctant to order from here again. We ordered our meals to go, and when we got home we discovered that part of our orders was missing. When I called, I was asked to hold on the phone for the manager. So I waited on hold, and waited and waited until I finally had to hang up so we could eat. Also, when we first arrived at the restaurant, no one would acknowledge me as I stood at the bar, right in front of the "to go" sign, waiting for our order. I eventually had to ask the host to please find someone so I could pick up our dinner. This wouldn't have normally bothered me, but considering the problem mentioned above, it added up to an unpleasant experience overall.

Went there for dinner , ordered stuffed mushrooms and Eggplant Parmigiana and a glass of house wine that cost 8.50.. don't know what kind it was but I'm sure I could have bought a bottle that was a better wine for what I paid for 1 glass. Anyway The mushrooms came and I had to send them back because they were still FROZEN When I was finally able to eat them the cheese was bland and there were no spices used. The Eggplant Parm. was hot and very tasty and almost could compare it to home cooking. All in all the experience was not bad. My advice is say no to the house wine unless you're ordering it yourself.

I can remember a time when I thought olive garden was good. I don't know if it has gone downhill or if I have just been exposed to better italian food. They are kind of known for their salad and breadsticks and honestly I think these are maybe the worst things there. The salad is consistently soggy and the breadsticks are OK but not really special. The Olive Garden, like many casual italian chains, is very overpriced for what you get. I would not go as far as to say the food is bad, but it very much feels and tastes like chain restaurant food. I can't really describe it exactly. Probably designed by a high paid corporate chef and then recreated by a worker using an instruction manual and ingredients sourced from a sysco delivery truck. If you want genuinely good italian food, check out Caldone's. If you want casual italian chain food, then you can still do yourself a favor and pass up Olive Garden and try Carrinos a couple miles up the road.

It's an Olive Garden. They have breadsticks. Whoop.

We stopped at this Olive Garden because of a gift card someone had given us. I have to say that we had one of the best waitresses I have had in years. But the issue wasnt with the service. We all got five different entrees and the food was mediocre at best. I tried everything we ordered and there was no distinctive flavor or authenticity to any of it. I also would mention that the menu is extremely confusing because of all the additional charges added to what you order. We actually got charged $7 for two marinara dipping sauces that we thought came with the bread. The manager did come out and correct the issue though. It really felt like we were being nickel and dimed with additional charges on everything we ordered, even the kids meals...I just think Olive Garden in general has become a low end Italian restaurant chain that may end up selling frozen dinners in your local grocery store.

On a recent trip the food was good, typical chain standard, but the atmosphere of this location and the attitude of the servers were very odd. When coupled with an unfriendly hostess, the factors just don't add up for us to be returning guests. We'll surely dine at an Olive Garden again sometime, but the Joplin location left a lot to be desired.

Good service and food just a little pricey depending on what you get. Depending on what time of day you go there can be a long wait.

Traveling from Missouri to Texas, I stopped at this restaurant. The wait was extremely long, the service was horrible, the waitress was incredibly rude, and it was the worst food I've ever ordered from an Olive Garden.

Prepare to wait awhile when they are busy. And don't expect them to pickup dirty dishes anytime soon. Our table was completely full of used plates and salad bowls and waited 15 minutes for a tea refill.

I like The Olive Garden. Italian music, salads, soups, and, of course, the breadsticks. Yummy, yummy food! Cheese, garlic, pasta, all the stuff I like. We visited this one on a relatively quiet Monday afternoon. The food here is consistent wherever you go. Never a disappointment. The real difference I saw here was in the attitude of the wait staff. Very friendly, eager to please, and genuine. I was really impressed. Perhaps they could teach something to the L.A. waiters.

The Olive Garden is definitely one of the nicer restaurants in Joplin. There is always good food and the service is near perfect. We've never had to wait long. Actually the last time my wife and I went, we had our food before we were done with the salad. If you're in the mood for Italian food and you're in the area, definitely hit up the Olive Garden.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
