This place is gross. The building was damaged in the May 2011 tornado and it's obvious they did not use any of that insurance money to clean this dump up. The floor under our booth was stained and rotted out so it made the atmosphere pretty unpleasant. I wouldn't say the food was horrific but the experience overall wasn't that great. We won't be going back.

By far the best buffet in town! There is a very large selection of food including chicken nuggets, fries, and mozzarella sticks on the buffet. I always enjoy the mayonnaise shrimp and baked crab. The fruit and desserts are also excellent! Every time my fiance eat there we get the same waitress and she knows our drink order without even having to ask us! King Palace is the only buffet that I will eat at in Joplin, MO.

My family went last night. Horrid! I couldn't stand to eat any of the food! I only was able to eat the soup and fruit. Everything else we tried tasted sooo bad. The service was sub par, the atmosphere was bad. It looks like this place is consistently going down hill which is a shame as I used to like it. We will never be going back.

Had lunch here. For the price, the food is good. The buffet is large with a lot of choices. The honey chicken was my favorite, and the broccoli beef was good too. The breaded crab claw was good. A little thick but good flavor. I've had better teriyaki chicken and General Tao's. My husband said the Hot and Sour soup wasn't good. The only thing, and this is totally a personal thing, is no almond cookies. In the Midwest, where I'm from, Almond cookies are a staple in these buffet style restaurants. All in all, for the price of the lunch buffet, you should be able to find at least two dishes that will satisfy you.

Terrible service. TERRIBLE. You are ignored the majority of the time. Also, as we were going in I noticed the dry erase sign said 3-4 $1.99. When I informed the rude waitress that my daughter was 2, I was told that two-year-olds are $2.99. I then told her that the sign out front in the entrance said otherwise. She got an attitude and went out front to "check" as if I would lie over a few dollars. I watched as she told the owner gentleman and he went out and changed the sign. I'm not upset about the fact that my daughter should have been free as advertised, I'm upset that I was treated like a liar. When my husband went to pay, the waitress was the cashier. Cold and rude she argued with him over the incident. I asked her if she had heard of "the customer is always right" and she gave me a dirty look and said that "it didn't matter". Excuse me? We told her we would pay the bill this time, but we wouldn't be back. She informed us that that was fine with her. She said we couldn't leave fast enough. I have never been treated this rudely in my life by wait staff. I give this ZERO STARS. We will never be back. I encourage you to find somewhere else to eat. The food isn't always fresh, and did I mention the wait staff? Oh, yeah I covered the waitress from hell, didn't I?

Variety of foods and good quality. Enough room so you find place to sit easily. Service and staff are awful and I think this comes from their culture. Don't be surprised if they ignore you.

This is the WORST Chinese buffet I have ever been to. The food and service is awful! I had to ask for a refill on my water and didn't even bother asking the second time. The sushi was the WORST ever...the rice vinegar did not taste good at all. When I paid the Manager, I asked for a receipt that shows paid and he zapped it with a gun which didn't do anything? He never asked if I enjoyed my meal. I will NEVER go back. Please don't waste your time!

We went to Kings Palace today at 5;00pm thinking that they would be getting ready for the dinner rush hour. We went in and were seated and after she brought our drinks thats the last we saw of our waitress. I made several selections from the buffet and about 75% of those selections were cold and or hard from sitting. My wife had the chicken nuggets and fries and a piece of the fried chicken wing and said that it was all cold. I made another trip and this time I noticed that there was fresh hot food out so I took a few and the hot food that I got was good but the other food like the crab rangoons were cold and soggy. For two people the 22.60 was tooo much for the quality of food we received, needles to say we will NOT return to this dump.

Eh it was ok. Huge buffet but sometimes less is more if you get my drift. The first plate was like this is pretty good, the second plate was like this could be better then my last plate was like this is terrible. So what I'm trying to say is there is better chinese out there. I personally would pass this one up.

0 stars! What a crap-hole! We agree with every single, other person who's WARNED you, that this place has horrible food and is too expensive for what they serve! They charged us $2.99 for our 3 year old, who didn't eat half of his chicken and rice because the chicken was bad. We found this out after me and our son got home and both threw up the food! There are flies everywhere, the fruit is bruised and warm, the buffet food was cold or had been sitting and was hard. The young waitress got our drinks once and I had to get our refills. My husband got the grill, which is why he didn't get sick like we did. They never took the time to remodel, so there's a sickly, water-stained floor and dust all over the lights and hanging sign in back over the grill. When I pointed out the price difference for our son to eat(P.R. is .99) to the owner, between his place and Pacific Rim, he just smiled and nodded. The next 15 minutes, we got dirty looks from the old waitress. They had the nerve to charge us $27.43 for EXACTLY 3 plates of food and 3 drinks. When I paid he asked, "No tip?". I just stared at him like, "are you kidding me?" and we left. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE! You are guaranteed to be highly disappointed, your pocket book drained only to go home and throw up everything you ate! Take your enemy here for revenge or a bad boss or unsavory "friends", but don't take people you love here.

I've eaten here a few times and the food was always good. There's a wide selection to choose from and there's also a section of American food. I really like their soup and the service is great. The restaurant is very roomy so it can be a long walk from your table to the buffet area.
