Spending the last couple days surrounded by mostly futile attempts at quality food I reached out to local stalwart CC's Broiler. I walked in nd felt as if I was at home. Sinatra on the radio, full bar, and dimly lit. Game on, or so I thought. The bartender didn't know a Sazerac and the Manhattan she made was watered down and empty in flavor. The Caesar salad was good but using kraft grated parm in this day and age is so Olive Garden. The bread, was classic old world steakhouse. Hot and awesome, though it was served with overly cold butter. As I ice picked the butter with my knife I wondered how this still happens. This restaurant I am sure was great in the eighties, pretty good in teh nineties and is just running on fumes now. The steak that came out spoke of that. It lacked caricature is was tough as tough could be. It mad ebe think of Sizzeler not sixxeling steak. Spend your money else-ware - until next time dine fine(er)

When I saw the presentation of the salad I knew the food was going I to be great. For a restaurant to invest so much attention into the sale that is basically complimentary with the meal means they care. The salad is served with a home baked bred served on a wood cutting board. Delicious. I didn't want to eat bread before a big steak meal but I had to taste it! The grilled asparagus with Bernadine are delicious. I always save the best for last... The steak was delicious. Came out a little raw so I had to send it back to cook a little more and it came back a little more cooked then I wanted but it was still good. I still have a 5 star because eve thing else was great. Our server was in training and did a great job for her first night shadowed by a pro seasoned 5 star waiter. So the service was great, food was top quality and the ambiance is perfect for this high end star steak restaurant. Recommend them highly!

Delicious! Service outstanding! Lobster bisque amazing! Get there early if you don't want to wait;). Only negative is they don't take reservations. Probably the best restaurant in como

Overall I have find this restaurant to be a real treat every time I've been there during the past few years. The service has always friendly and extremely attentive, no issues there whatsoever. But then again, when I go to a fancy restaurant with these prices, excellent service is pretty much expected! I've always found their salads to be wonderful and somewhat unique -- everything wrapped in long strip of cucumber. The shrimp tuscadero is a must order for appetizers! I once dared to order a filet rare, and it was wonderful. However, I was disappointed last time I went there because they were out of ribeyes, which has become my favorite steak. That is what caused them to lose one star in this rating. A NY strip is fine but not the same as a ribeye and I hope next time they don't run out again or they may just lose another star.

The steaks are 5 stars, and among the best I have ever eaten anywhere around the country! I would give this place 5 stars if not for one exception. The wine prices are inflated much higher than most other restaurants I have experienced. I understand wine is generally marked up 50% in restaurants, but here is an example of wine mark up currently on the menu...inexcusable! Louis Martini Cab -2010 Retail= $12 Cc Price= $36 I do love this place but it irritates me to be taken advantage of when ordering wine...

The location is nothing fancy-a strip mall. The outside of the restaurant again makes you doubt is this the same place that people rave about. Once inside, it is transformative, at least compared to the outside. It is a cozy romantic place. Wait staff is attentive. Coming to the food, if you are not a steak lover you are in the wrong place and if you are a vegetarian, you are in here for the free food and drink, either invited for a party or business talk. Friends at my table liked the jumbo shrimp, it had a kick because of the jalapeño sauce. The salmon was cooked perfectly. I took the grilled chicken with citrus juice. The taste was good with infusion of herbs. But I thought the serving size was humongous, definitely not what I see these days in a pricy upscale restaurants. Walnut salad was beautifully plated and yummy. Baked potato with spinach dip and mushrooms would have tasted nice, if I had starved all day or if I decided not to justice to the chicken. Pinot noir was ok. Molten chocolate cake is still in the box, yet to be tasted, which I would have if I wanted to go into a food coma! Bottom line: pricey restaurant with decent food but huge portion size in a wrong location!

As an outspoken, redheaded female I am rarely rendered speechless. The meal I had at Cc's City Broiler is almost beyond description! I was there for my birthday and that means free dessert! Hubby and I each had the 21-day dry aged ribeye with their fabulous chopped salad. The ribeye was off the hook! So tender and juicy and it was cooked perfecly! The salad was very unique and flavorful. The birthday dessert I chose was Creme Brulee Cheesecake...perfect mash-up of my two favorite desserts. Loved the atmosphere and our server was very attentive, engaging and enjoyable.

An upscale surf and turf joint. Waiters wear suits and ties and white shirts. On the formal side. Some of the servers are excellent, entertaining, friendly, and professional. The food is some of the best in Columbia, but you will pay for it. In my opinion, this place has the best steak in Columbia. Salads are excellent too. I recommend the super strip. The flavors of everything are always great, and you can tell they prepare things the right way, not the easy way.

The ultimate steak place in Columbia. Be prepared to spend some money. It is well worth it. I wanted the Ribeye because it is my favorite cut of meat, but unfortunately they were out. I ended up ordering the "super" strip steak. It was PHENOMENAL. It was topped with a goat cheese and pepper mixture. The salad was interesting. It was served in a cucumber bowl. I call cucumbers "the devil of vegetables". Besides that Its a wonderful place.

This is probably the nicest restaurant in Columbia. That being said, it is also probably the most expensive. I ate here for my 17th birthday and I STILL remember how the steak nearly melted in my mouth. Best place for a romantic dinner or for special occasions!

Hoped to find a nice place to celebrate my daughter's acceptance to transfer to Mizzou and this was the perfect place. You'd never know you were in a strip mall by the great interior finishes and warmth. The house salad was fantastic and the strip steak was perfect. Highly recommend this as a best of Columbia and we've added it to the top of our favorites!

This place has an unusual location in a strip mall next to a SportClips, so you wouldn't think much of it when walking up or driving by. Once inside, however, the atmosphere is very classy and you forget that you're in a strip mall. The steaks are, hands down, the best in Columbia. Enough said.

Probably my favorite restaurant in town. It's definitely not the cheapest, but it's well worth the price. Great steak and seafood. Cocktails are very nice as well. This place fills up pretty quickly on weekends so you might have to wait, but it's worth it. The ambience is wonderful too.

I haven't reviewed a business on yelp for an entire eight months (those pesky college courses will keep you busy) but I found a place I enjoyed so much that I had to come back and tell everyone about it. My mother-in-law wanted to eat a nice meal on her last night in town, and CC's was so insanely delicious that we agreed to come back next time she's back in CoMo. The salads were freaking great. I got it with the balsamic vinaigrette and I could have eaten a few more easy. Have you ever had a salad with french fried onions? Because I have. I ordered the salmon with fried asparagus and I would totally recommend it. The husband and mother-in-law each ordered steaks, so I didn't sample those, but they both really enjoyed their meals. I did have a few bites of my husband's jalapeno mashed potatoes though and it was fantastic. We finished with the creme brulee cheesecake and left completely happy. This place is so fancy that the waiter opened my napkin and put it on my lap. This place was so fancy that the plates had those domed lids and they were removed with a flourish all at once. This place is also so fancy that the waiter carried a little crumber to remove the crumbs from the tablecloth between courses. Our waiter even walked to our car in the parking lot to return my mother-in-law's scarf, which she left at the table. Seriously he was awesome. It's not cheap at all, so this really is a special occasion kind of place (but yay for in-laws who pay for dinner!). But the dining area is small and cozy and I feel really strongly when I say that I would absolutely recommend CC's for anyone who's considering it.

Don't let anyone tell you CC's Broiler is mediocre. This place is heavenly in terms of food. My wife and I went out for her birthday and being that we had never been to CC's we took the plunge and celebrated. In being well aware that CC's is certainly the most expensive place to eat in Columbia ($30 steaks) we have pushed off eating here for awhile because of the price tag. However, you get what you pay for in terms of food, presentation, and atmosphere. The food. Mouth watering, unique, delightful, filling. Need I say more? I ordered the traditional filet but put a spin on it by ordering the steak "peppered". The filet was wrapped in bacon and served with a side and salad. The steak was one of the greatest things to ever tickle my tongue. To say it didn't cut like butter would be a lie. The salad was quite interesting. It was a chopped salad wrapped tightly with a slice of cucumber. Very delicious! The side I had order was a baked potato, nothing special but still tasty. The food overall was fantastic, not to mention the sourdough bread that tasted like a warm doughnut *drool*. Also, if your looking for a side that's outside of the box, I highly recommend the fried asparagus, so good. The staff is very professional and seem to love their job. Props to management for running a great spot in Columbia.

CC's is amazing and the best steakhouse in the state! The value that you get for you money would cost 5 times per person in a big city like Chicago, NYC or DC. I have had the Gary Steak and it is a masterpiece. Even the salad that is brought out to you is as much visual art as it is a good start to the meal. The price with drinks and tip is about $50 per person. That includes 2 drinks (I have to drive) and a 25% tip (I am a decent tipper for good service). That may seem pricey to small town Columbia, but the quality of food and service actually makes it a great deal.

I was in town on business and was told that it was the best place in town to eat. Went there on a Saturday at 5:30 and waited 2 hrs. I eat out a lot because I travel a lot. The food was good at best, way over priced for what it is. The service was horrible at best. Hostess was rude with no people skills and manager was no better. I can't see this place staying open unless they reevaluate the staffs attitudes. It's a small location in a strip mall, so when they get busy they try to herd the customers in and out like cattle. Would has been more satisfied at a cheap steakhouse chain.

My parents took me here for my birthday one weekend when they were in town. The steak was cooked nicely and my wine was delicious. Overall I was satisfied but I wouldn't come here unless it was a special occasion because it is quite expensive.

Super fancy, great for special occasions. The menu is pretty limited and very expensive. I had the steak wrapped in bacon and it was delicious! The staff was pretty nice.

The place isn't bad, but it used to be a lot better. Its a hit or miss. I order my steak medium and half the time it's perfect and the other half its way too well done. It's a nice place, but not worth the money.

Went to CC City Broiler for a business dinner and really enjoyed my meal! I had the 28 day dry aged ribeye with the jalapeño twice baked potatoes. The ribeye was cooked perfectly! The potatoes were delicious! We started off with the onion rings and cucumber wrapped salad. Unfortunately I had no room for desert. I did have some food envy as we had 6 people in our party and all ordered different items. The prime rib must have been at least 20oz and looked great! No complaints and I can't wait to come back to MO for another visit! Oh, and Victor is a must have waiter, knowledgable and very helpful! Prices we a little high but it was expected with any great steak house.

As a native Chicagoan I am very selective on steaks and the quality of steakhouses. After reading reviews of CC's City Broiler I knew that I had to check it out. Since my son is a student at Mizzou, we have been searching for a great steakhouse in Columbia and had just about given up. What makes CC's so great is that their steaks are aged and well marbled. They cook them exactly as you like ( medium rare is not medium, for instance) and their flavor is both mellow and memorable. I had the NY Strip and it was as good, if not better, as any from a Chicago steakhouse. One of the best surprises is their house salad which is fantastic. It's a great chopped salad that's placed in a cylinder of thinly sliced cucumbers topped with superb dressings. The room is pleasant and well appointed. The waitstaff is well-versed, professional and pleasant. The only negative about CC's is that they don't take reservations so you either have to go early (before 6p) or plan on waiting at least 45 min. We arrived at 5:30p (party of 5) and waited a little more than half an hour. Oh, and did I mention that CC's is one of the most reasonable and affordable steakhouses. You would expect a NY Strip of this quality to be priced at $44-$55 in Chicago. At CC's it's at least 30% less. The net-net: we plan on going back to CC's everytime we go to Columbia to visit our son @Mizzou.

The man decided to show me COMO's top steakhouse and we enjoyed a nice dinner here with strip steak, prime rib roast, onion rings, salad, scallops and dessert. I know, we overindulged but considering how nice the atmosphere and service was for the city, we decided to take our time. Food: The salad that came with the entrees were a real treat! Presentation was nice, flavor was sharp, sweet, and fresh and I loved the fried (shallots?) they put on top. Onion rings were very good as well, not oily at all and served with a thousand island sauce on the side. Scallops were fresh (they advertise having the freshest seafood in the city, flown on ice daily and never frozen) and seared perfectly while served with slices of pork belly so tender, I thought it was fish. This was one dish I could eat again and again. I was really hoping for a bonein ribeye but since they were serving a more limited weekday selection, I got the strip steak served super style instead. The medium was red but not bloody and had good taste with a thick cut. K's prime rib slice (Gary's steak) of their daily rib roast special was delicious. More lean than most prime ribs I've had, it had a rich flavor from being flame broiled in the kitchen (where we could see the steak chef sweating his hat off). All in all, a good experience with decent service. Dessert was a bit less memorable but I can see how this is COMO's top restaurant of choice.

I was pleasantly surprised. Probably the best nice dinner I've had in town. They don't act pretentious and they really take care of you. My glass was never empty and the food was brought our in a timely manner. A bit pricey, but I did not feel ripped off at all. Very nice and I will likely return.

This was one of the first places I tried after moving to Columbia from San Francisco. I'm rather shocked that it has as good of reviews as it does. It's not that the food was bad or that the service sucked, it's just that it wasn't that amazing especially for the price! Their flavors were very on point except for one huge disappointed. Our steaks were the saltiest I've ever tasted almost as if they were brined and not washed off. And I like things on the salty side. They were nice and tender, though. Overall, it's a decent place, it's just not 5 stars in my opinion. When I rate, I look at what they're trying to be vs what they actually are and this is not a SF quality restaurant. If the prices were lower, I'd give them more stars. They're just... trying too hard. If you want a good steak, go to one of the other many fine restaurants in Columbia and get a better value.

Best restaurant in Columbia, best steakhouse in Columbia, best place to go on a fancy date in Columbia.... just all around top notch. It's definitely expensive but you get what you pay for because the atmosphere is really nice, the service is excellent and the food is superb. Their house salads are great and their baked potatoes are to die for! I got the petite sirloin medium rare and it was cooked PERFECTLY. Also I went with someone who lives in NYC and he got the New York Strip and said it was just as good as the NY Strip in the city (which is a BIG compliment). It's worth the money, you'll love dining here.

I'm incredulous that this is my first review of C C's. I love C C's. I have never had a bad experience and hope that I never do. Since I moved backed to Columbia in December, I've been back twice. Once for NYE and once to celebrate my SO's promotion and our engagement. NYE was insane, but we expected that. I guess the only complaint is that they don't take reservations, so, you've got to either get there extremely early or be prepared to wait. Their staff is extremely attentive and waiting at the bar is a treat before dinner. After being seated, you are immediately offered water and your choice of a different drink. We usually get a bottle of wine because the prices are great. Their appetizers are fabulous. Again, for those of you who don't read every review of mine (and why wouldn't you?!?!!) , I don't eat seafood. So, my favorite appetizers are their onion rings and their stuffed mushroom caps. The onion rings are light and airy and they are served with a spicy cream sauce that is to die for. Their mushrooms were different than I was expecting the first time, but incredible. They are served in a gravy-type dish in a sauce that complements the mushrooms very well. For my entree, I always get the filet mignon and my SO usually gets prime rib or filet and lobster. It is melt in your mouth delicious. The entrees come with a salad and a side. The salad is great; it's essentially like a traditional dinner salad deconstructed with a few additions (gorgonzola cheese, walnuts). The regular sides are vegetable of the day, rice pilaf, and baked potato. Those are all done well, but their upgraded sides are surprisingly incredible. I love the twice-baked jalapeno twice baked potato and the asparagus. The service is always incredible and the atmosphere truly fosters conversation and smiles. I cannot wait to return.

Celebrated our 20th Anniversary with dinner at CC's. Our waiter Victor was fabulous and recommended our entrees. The salads were fresh and delicious and the Filet Mignon was fabulous. We won't wait another 20 years to visit again!

Savoring lobster bisque with blue crab pieces on top, crusty hot bread (yes, butter), and a premium white wine by the glass, with consistently impeccable timing, the signature salad with blue cheese crumbles was placed before me. Puzzling how to dissect this artistic cucumber bowl salad, I just dove in. The 28-day dry-aged ribeye steak (au jus butter w/ blue cheese on top) with jalapeño twice-baked potato are placed before me to savor with a top-flight red wine by the glass. No room for dessert. A most memorable, delicious meal. The bonus was that I was given a $100 gift card to enjoy Cc's City Broiler, and almost used it all. Personable and attentive staff.

As good or better than some of the higher end steak places I've been to (Mortons, Donovans) excellent staff and HUGE drink portions. Also, the best value at a high end steak house I have ever seen. I was so happy to have stumbled on this gem!

If you're looking for a great steakhouse anywhere in Missouri, this place is as good as it gets! The service is outstanding every time, and the food never disappoints. No reservations, so if you plan to come, arrive early. That's also a good tip for ensuring you won't choose something on the menu that's sold out. This place is very popular, and one of the best-selling steaks tends to sell out within the first 1-2 hours. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu, but if you want the ribeye, get there early. I highly recommend Gary's Steak (Chicago style broiled ribeye), which I order rare, blackened, and topped with casino butter. The Filet is also exceptional and can be ordered in a smaller size if desired. I would also recommend the onion rings as an appetizer, the jalapeño twice-baked potato to replace your normal side dish, and the creme brûlée cheesecake for dessert. One other note, and this is really a pet peeve of mine, please be kind to your server when tipping. Nothing is worse than going to a nice upscale restaurant for a great meal, receiving impeccable service, and then leaving a 5-10% tip. If you plan to dine here, plan to spend about $60 per plate plus wine, and for goodness sake leave a decent tip at the end. The waiters may work in one of the nicest restaurants in town and serve some of the wealthiest customers, but they still only make $2.15/hr without tips. Eat, enjoy, and be kind to your server. One other note, plastic is accepted but not Discover yet.

How is it possible that after all of my travels, I had to go to Columbia Missouri last night to get the best steak I have ever tasted? Absolutely dynamite. I'll take this over Peter Lugar's in Brooklyn, Gibson's in Chicago, Shula's in Baltimore, Morton's, Ditka's in Chicago, Carmine's, Sparks etc etc. Hands down. A dear friend of mine took me here last night and insisted on ordering and paying for all of the goodies on this menu. We started with jumbo scallops in a great mango sauce, stuffed mushrooms that were to die for, and finally jumbo shrimp in a spicy red wing sauce (very middle Missouri of them, but great). For our main courses we ordered the dish that has been named after my friend Aaron. A huge 13oz Fillet ordered rare and cooked perfect, with a beautiful lobster tail on the side. Its hard to describe the taste this fillet gets on the house grill at this joint, but it is simply unreal. An amazing house mixture of salty spices on an incredibly hot grill for a short time frame. These guys have it down folks. Our waiter was top of the line as well and even deserved the extravagant tip of 100pct my friend gave him. How many times do you hear a guy argue against a 250 dollar bottle of wine and then recommend a 50 dollar bottle? It was really cool to see. Other than the lobster bisque being so-so, my only recommendation for the place would be to add Black Sambuca. It's such an underrated after dinner drink, and it blows the regular clear stuff away...but lets get serious, I am just nitpicking at this point. Thats like complaining about Marilyn Monroe's mole.

Enjoyed my dinner here tremendously, my steak was excellent quality and the fried lobster served with it was sweet and cooked perfectly. Only reason I can not give the 5th star was the wait to be seated, we came at 8:30 in the evening and waited 55 minutes to be seated.

My first 5 star rating! I ate here just last night solo since I work non traditional weekends its hard to find people who can go our for steak dinners at 815 on s Wednesday or Thursday night usually. Nonetheless this experience was amazing! The service from the time I walked in was stellar. They look you in the eye, ask how your doing, if its your first visit, where you want to sit etc. I took the bar so as not to take up a table for 1 person. The bar area is just as upscale as the main restaurant floor is so no loss. The bartender was most helpful in explaining the nuts and bolts of the menu, specials, daily offerings etc. I had a game plan before coming on he suggestion of a coworker. I got the Animal Steak which is a fully ground 12 oz fillet Mignon seasoned with salt, pepper, guree cheese and mushrooms. I got it medium well and lets just say this steak is now my reference for what every steak should taste like for medium well fillet Mignon! It melted under my from and the same upon entering my mouth every bite! The meal was served quickly to, maybe 10 minutes after ordering it was good to go and for a fairly busy night that's good service! A salad accompanies the meal which is a very fancy looking thing when it comes out! Cucumber wrapped with walnuts, fried onion straws and blue cheese. I opted for balsamic vinaigrette dressing which worked perfectly! This version of a salad looked more like a delicacy then a side dish! It also came with a loaf of sourdough bread on a cutting board. I love this kind of real bread with hard crust and chewy center. Its the ONLY kind of bread to have with steak to soak up them wonderful meat juices at the end. And this fit the bill perfectly for such purposes! The other side I got was the veggie of the day which as seasoned and steamed zucchini which like everything else I had was done perfectly. Soft but not mushy, lightly seasoned not overkill and even a light butter may have been added but not so much its all you taste. My meal ran me 21.50 which for what i got, a very full stomach, a more then please palate and a new found "go to" place for all my steak fixes was well worth it. Great atmosphere, good service, amazing food and justified prices for what you get. I will be back many times in the future for sure!

I'm coming home to Columbia from LA and can't wait to see Scott and have dinner at CC's. This restaurant is a staple for Columbia and one of the best steakhouses anywhere (you can compare it to Mastro's Beverly Hills, Ruth's Chris, Morton's of Chicago, LG's, you choose - it competes fully with whatever tier you want to benchmark against). Scott, just don't make me wait ... See you next Friday!

Talk about being incognito! I never would have stopped here if I wasn't having dinner with a colleague. I mean, when I am craving a quality steak, a small door accented with neon lights and stuck in a quiet strip mall doesn't normally signal succulent steak to me. Heck, what do I know? So we step inside and I am shocked. Step beyond the neon and you are in a small, classic steak house with dark wood, a wooden bar, brick walls, and perfectly dimmed lighting. Shock me! The menu here is huge! I mean gigantic. I could barely hold it in my hands. It must have been two feet tall and over a foot wide. Once I got past the sheer expanse of real estate, I found a classic steak house menu. My colleague says that he comes here regularly and orders the petite filet. Count me in! So, I get one, too. We add a cucumber salad and a side of scallops. Steak - tender and bacon wrapped...but it was closer to the medium end of the medium rare spectrum Cucumber salad - wonderful...a green salad stuffed into strips of cucumbers that form circular molds, topped with a lovely vinaigrette Broccoli on the side- tasty and I have to be good somewhere in the meal, right? Scallops with pork belly - oh, yeah. This was the star with tender scallops with a perfect crust, tender pork belly, and an apricot sauce If you stop here and don't order the scallops with pork belly, you are so missing out! Service was lovely. It is obvious that the staff cares about the experience. Some reviews say that this is the best steak in midMO. Perhaps. It was fantastic. However, it wasn't quite as good as Tannin in K City. So, 4 stars only because my steak last night was a bit better and I prefer my steak closer to the rare end of the medium rare spectrum. That said, I now see neon as the bat beacon for tender steak and pork belly heaven!

Bad is that it's very small and they do not take reservations. Ended up have to wait 45 minutes the first time I went. Otherwise the food was very good for the post part. Appetizers were very good. The salad, on the other hand, looked very cool but tasted bad. That might just be me, but no one on my table finished their salad. Entree's were very good too. Must get the twice baked jalepeno potato, it's awesome. Overall, the experience and food was very good. I would give them a 4.5...rounded up to 5 because I had a good time.

As others have noted, the food was excellent. However, don't stay too long or you run the risk of being asked to leave. My friend and I were seated at a small, out of the way table. I guess we spent too much time over our food, wine, and dessert. Someone that looked like a manager came over and asked us to leave because people had been waiting two hours for tables. Having worked in the restaurant industry in a past life, I have always been very understanding of the pressures of the biz...what might bother others during the course of a meal seldom bothers me. I approach a lovely meal out with a sense of gratitude, not entitlement. Last night, the suggestion that we depart bothered me. While I have had servers give me cues it was time to leave, I have never had an employee ask me to go. What a disappointing end to what would otherwise have been a special meal with a good friend.

Holy. Crap. This place is amazing. I'll start off with negatives, since there's so few. The place is TINY. They don't take reservations and won't seat you til your entire party is there. That's it for the negatives! The food is amazing. I had the steak Sinatra which is served with lobster mashed potatoes and asparagus. Delish! The salad which comes with the meal was almost too pretty to eat. Almost. The sourdough bread was pretty tasty (I'm from San Fran, it's hard to beat our sourdough!) my hubby and father in law had the Gary steak, which was huge and very good (they run out, order early!) not only is the food good, the service was excellent. Our waiter was hopping, we went on a Wednesday night and before they even opened there was a line! We brought our 4 year old son with us (unless you have a really well behaved kid, I wouldn't suggest taking kids. Lucky for us, our son is really good in restaurants. He likes food, what can I say?) the waiter, John, I think, had the kitchen staff make a kids plate for our son (there is no kids menu) of wonderful chicken and fancy French fries. Very sweet of him! Place is pricy, but it's truly a place you get what you pay for. Tip well! Those guys earn it!

This is my favorite steakhouse in the country. The bone-in ribeye is the stuff that dreams are made of. But really everything is good here. The sides, the service, the meat, everything. My wife is from NY and it is her favorite steakhouse as well. True hidden gem, and one of the better restaurants in the country as far as I'm concerned.

I went here last month and was thoroughly impressed, but my experience here yesterday was very disappointing. The salad was wilted and it was apparent the dressing had been added to it earlier and it had been sitting around. The bread was not served until much after the salad arrived because it wasn't yet ready. Worst of all, the steak I ordered tasted as though it had been sitting around for a bit once it arrived. I requested it be heated up, which ruined the flavor of the steak once it was reheated and put on a new plate. The waiter did nothing to make up for the issue, as many restaurants offer to do when there's a problem. It's worth noting that the restaurant was not busy and was well staffed so there was no legitimate reason why food would be sitting around for awhile before being served. For a $35 steak dinner, I expected much more than a steak that had obviously been waiting before being served. Needless to say, I definitely do not expect to return.

Excellent food and great service. The steak is seasoned and cooked to perfection. The staff and kitchen were extremely flexible to get us out on time.

Absolutely my favorite restaurant! Recently had occasion to celebrate and the gracious staff jumped in to help with the surprise! 100% consistently excellent steaks, precisely prepared and served by friendly professionals. One of the only places where the staff, even from different sections, will stop by to greet returns guests - of which I am happy to report that I am one! Scott, you have put together and maintain one of the great, classic, steak houses. Well done! Hope to see you again soon!

I really don't see what anyone is complaining about regarding CC's. The person who complained about no take out, is a ding-dong. This is a upper-class steak place, therefore, they don't deliver steaks. Anyone expecting that is insane. Next, the restaurant is small. There are fourteen smaller tables (2-4 people) and one larger (6-8). The policy of no reservations is simply so they can fill tables. With only about 60 seats, they can't afford to reserve tables. Next, the hostess may not be stunningly nice, but I am usually greeted by the maitre 'd, who always seats us and gets us a good seat. Furthermore, to the person who complained about coming in at 9PM and having to wait an hour, that's your fault. As I said, there are 60 seats. If you come in at 9PM, they'll all be full, and you'll have to wait. Oh and yes, the bar is a bit small, but if you come to a high class steak restaurant for the bar, you're just asking for dissatisfaction. Next, complaints about the service are just unfounded. We usually get a server, Matt, who is pleasant, and one of the simply most competent waiters I've ever had anywhere. The other waiters though, from experience, are great. I've also read complaints about this place serving food À la carte. The food that is à la carte is the side items. That being said, every entrée comes with a beautiful, uniquely presented salad, bread and a side. The sides are baked potatoes and pilaf, and one more I can't remember. The premium sides, yes are à la carte, but are fantastic, especially the jalapeno twice baked potato. They also have a huge wine selection, with wonderful selections. I can vouch that their seafood is fantastic. I've had their fish on various occasions, and its fantastic. Of the meat, I generally get two items. Either the rib-eye or Lamb. The Lamb is covered in goat cheese, and sits in a sweet sauce. The meat is fantastically tender. I suggest getting it medium-rare. The rib-eye is huge, but delicious. Again, medium-rare, and ask for it to be blackened. Either blackened or ask for it to be "Super-style" with the goat cheese put on it! One note, the people who complain about there not being enough rib-eyes or meats, that is a legitimate claim. However, this is a problem generally on Sunday and Monday. On Saturday, they generally sell a lot of their cuts. So if you come here Sunday, there's a possibility there may only be three rib-eyes left, as it's pretty much their most popular. For example, today on Sunday, we came in, and as soon as we sat down, before we ordered appetizers, the entire entrée, etc, we reserved our rib-eyes. There were only two left. So if its Sunday or Monday, come early. Note, the shipments of meat come on Tuesday usually, although sometimes Monday, so starting Tuesday, there's plenty of everything. Tonight was the first time I had desert. The pecan pie, with bourbon in it is great, and I had the bundt cake, which was really great, and hot. All in all, if you're in the area and have the money, go in. It's fantastic.

My first time here but my boyfriend has been here several times. The service was awesome! Our waitress was Sherri Claridge; she was very professional and personable. I ordered the filet mignon with grilled asparagus. I seriously cleaned my plate which is probably not lady-like but the food was that good! Small dinning area with the next table a few inches away from you & maybe a 15 min wait since we went on a Wednesday night. I can definitely see why everyone loves this place.

I went there with my girlfriend and her parents, who live near Chicago and love hitting quality steakhouses. We arrived early, but not when they first opened. The owner talked to my girlfriend's dad, and when they talked about steakhouses from Chicago, she mentioned they get their steaks from there, and she suggested he try their best cut -- the Porterhouse, I believe. However, when we sat down and placed our orders, we were informed that they only serve something like 5 Porterhouses per night. He was understandably irritated because the owner suggested he try something, and now he couldn't get it. The server told us that if you don't arrive right when they open, you can't get the Porterhouse (or whichever steak this rarity was) because they run out immediately after opening. After the dust settled and we ordered, the three of us who got steaks did enjoy the food. It seemed a little pricey for a steakhouse that isn't in a major city (Chicago, St. Louis), but at least we liked it. My girlfriend is vegetarian, and the server told us there was a vegetarian option. She was not impressed at all with the dish -- it was a lot of grilled veggies, primarily yellow and green zucchini. For the price of the vegetarian grilled veggies ($18 I believe), it was definitely not worth it. She would've been better off ordering side dishes a la carte, like baked potato and fries. That would've cost less and would've been tastier for her. She left maybe two-thirds of the veggies on her plate, and they weren't worth taking home. Maybe we shouldn't have expected great vegetarian dishes from a steakhouse, but many other restaurants that primarily serve meat have more than one veggie option (a common example being a portobello steak), and for less money than a meat entree. CC's is good, but it's not amazing. If my girlfriend's dad had actually been able to get what he wanted, the super-limited cut of meat, maybe he would've raved about the place and it'd get 4-5 stars. But for our experience, I wouldn't recommend this as the top restaurant to visit in Columbia.

I was working in Columbia for a while and went here as often as possible. I always got the ribeye. A perfect medium rare that can only be accomplished by a 1300 degree broiler. If you are in Columbia then you really should go here.

I've been here twice and left both times very satisfied. The food and service were excellent. The prices are reasonable for a good steakhouse. It sucks that they don't take reservations though but the hostess is warm and welcoming, and communicates well how long it would take to be seated. At the end of it all if you want good steak then come here. If the prices scare you then enjoy your rubbery, tough, flavorless piece of meat at The Outback or something.

Easily the best steaks in town. Really comparable to steakhouses in bigger cities. They do run out of ribeyes almost every night, but if you're lucky enough to get one, they are delicious. Their Shrimp Atascadero and Bacon Wrapped Scallops for appetizers are very, very good. The cucumber wrapped salad with walnuts is also very good and a nice way to start off the meal. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for finer dining in Mid-Mo!

We've been to Columbia three times, spent the weekend twice, and on both of those overnight stays ate dinner at CC's. It's that good. The house salad itself is worth the visit, and all of the dressings are homemade. The menu isn't huge, but they do everything (at least, what we've had) well. They also have an extensive wine list, and the waiters seem pretty knowledgeable about their offerings. The decor is nice, is dimly lit (but you can still see the menu), there are real tablecloths, and did I mention the salad? My husband got steak both times, and really enjoyed his meal. I've gotten fish specials both times and last time the swordfish was absolutely perfect. It's super easy to overcook swordfish for even a second, and this was not overcooked in any way. Desserts are excellent as well, but the real stars are the main courses.

On the road for work and craving a nice meal, I searched for the highest rated places nearby and thankfully wound up at CC's. I came late on a Monday night and no one was there, but that definitely could not be due to the lack of quality output happening here. I had the Dry-Aged Prime Cut Ribeye as a recommendation from the chef. He cooked it perfectly justvin between rare and medium rare and it was one of the best steaks I have ever had. This was in part due to the unique spread served on the side. Apparently it's a mixture of salted butter, garlic, blue cheese, and au jus. None of the flavors dominate, but spreading a bit over every bite was absolutely delicious. It came with a beautifully presented spring mix salad wrapped in thinly sliced cucumber strands and bubbling over with walnuts, feta, peppers, and tomatoes doused in their house made balsamic vinaigrette. Being in the Midwest after a long day at work I felt like a full-fledged hearty meal, so I went with the twice cooked jalapeño mash potatoes on the side. They were tasty with a little kick, but didn't quite wow me like the meal's other rockstars described above. I ate at the bar and chatted with the bartender Matt who was extremely helpful and cool to hang with since it was so slow. The ambiance has that old supper-club feel, which made for an awesome experience all the way around at CC's. If i do find myself back in Columbia, I'll definitely be back.

Gary's Steak was an incredible, juicy, melt in your mouth behemoth. After school & years of coming to Columbia, we finally checked this institution off our list - and it did not disappoint.

Overpriced. The food is good, but not that good. People go here to be seen or say they went here. If you're proposing marriage, entertaining clients that you want to impress, or want to talk about CC's on Monday with your friends, then go. Otherwise, you can get a better meal for a lot less money somewhere else.

I wanted to join the "best steak" in Columbia band wagon but I must say, "over rated." First you must deal with the HUGE menus. I'm not talking selection, it is the actual size of the physical menu which is unwieldy. We ordered the sirloin and surf combo. I must have missed the find print on the large menu because I was shocked and disappointed when the lobster tail was deep fried. Isn't that a crime at a fine dining spot? The asparagus On the Oscar style was also deep fried. My baked potato was hard and cold. The waitress tried to tell me it was the sour cream which made it that way. Worst part, they don't take reservations so you have to sit and wait. Do yourself a favor and head across the street to Chris McD's or try Murry's.

I've eaten here twice and neither time disappointed. As a pescetarian I've never had the steak but the seafood is phenomenal. Expect a long wait or come very early. The salad is killer. Unfortunately I don't believe I've ever been hungry enough for dessert but I'm sure it's wonderful as well. Great place for special occasions.

I give it a 4.5 stars. I had the Sinatra. I was very good and the fried asparagus was great. The salad was very nice .The only complaint I would have is you had to pay for extra bread. I think at these prices you should get all the bread you would like. There were four of us and we ordered three different deserts. The pecan pie the chocolate lava cake and the strawberry cheesecake . The pecan pie it's a one plus star, the molten lava cake gets five plus stars and the cheesecake it's a seven star.Very nice for up scale dining. Would come back for special occasions.

Expensive but expected with this fine of dining and totally worth it! Steak Sinatra is wonderful especially with beer battered asparagus spears to pair with the meat and seafood. Salad is great too. Presentation and atmosphere is top notch.

I went here with my husband for our 1st anniversary. It was delicious! My husband has several food allergies (dairy, gluten, soy, garlic, lemon, just to name a few) and they were able to accommodate with no problem. The salad was one of the best salads I had ever had. The feta and the walnuts really made the dish, not the mention the fresh cucumber slice bowl. Super good. We both ordered the "Aunt Jackie", a 7oz filet mignon and a South African rock lobster tail. It's not on the menu but for only $3 more you can upgrade to a 12oz filet, which I think is a hell of a deal. I ordered the jalapeño twice baked potato as a side...fantastic!! The filet was a perfect medium rare and melted in your mouth. Nothing about this meal disappointed! It was awesome.

I got salmon, and it was quite good (and big). I enjoyed the sides (salad, 2x baked potato, etc.) and dessert (brownie something sundae?), too...definitely get a lot of food. Would like to learn where the salmon comes from before going back, but otherwise happy to (for a special occasion and/or if some else pays).

I agree with Truth--the food here is wonderful (the pecan pie here is delicious!) but the service is getting worse by the month. This was the first place we ate two years ago when we moved to Columbia and the service and food were top-notch. But over the last year, it is impossible to get in without an hour wait (despite a few empty tables around the room)and the hostess is always acting as if your presence is a MAJOR inconvenience to her. Sitting in the bar area just prolongs the torture-the bartenders have the same snotty attitude as the hostess. We have avoided CCs for quite awhile until tonight. We had family from L.A. come in and really wanted something nice, but as has become the norm, we walked in, got the rude "greeting" and "AT LEAST one hour wait"--and this was at 9:00 p.m. So, we turned and walked out. It will be a very long time before I consider retuning to CCs.

CC's is by far my favorite restaurant I've ever been to. The food is phenomenal and the service is fantastic. I've ordered the New York Strip both times I've been there simply because it's one of those meals you dream about. I'm not kidding. It comes with a salad with two cucumber strips made into a bowl, topped with roasted pecans that are the prefect addition to the fresh ingredients. If you're lucky they will have the raspberry vinaigrette which makes it even better. The steak itself is wonderfully tender, with just the right amount of marbling to make it flavorful without being too fatty. Both times it has been cooked exactly as a steak should be - medium rare. Served with a sea salt-encrusted baked potato for that makes starch lovers drool. As for the service that some people are complaining about, I honestly consider them to be lying. The fact that someone wait they ordered three times only to be told that the restaurant was out of that item is ridiculous. That would never happen at McDonald's, let alone a top notch steakhouse. Don't believe a word these critics say, the service is nothing short of perfection. Both times I have been, I was promptly seated by a very friendly hostess. The second time I went, there was a minute or two wait simply because it was a Friday night and they were cleaning off the only table that was not full at the time. The waiting staff is extremely knowledgable about the menu and seem genuinely pleased to have you there.

FOOD WAS PHENOMENAL!!! Professional and educated staff. The owner and chef also came out and made sure everything was perfect! The steak and mash was perfect! The drinks on point! The cheesecake phenomenal!!! The only thing i did not like was that it is in a shopping center atmosphere, but hey maybe he saves money on the building to make the food perfect!! Works for me. The atmosphere was good and cant wait for someone else to take me there again and pay for me cuz it was pricey but REWARDING!! You what you pay for and you get every penny here!!!

The outside of the building does not do the restaurant justice. I thought it was a burger & barbecue joint at first glance. Boy was I surprised. I have been to CC's City Broiler twice since moving to Columbia 3 months ago, and needed to give them the compliments they deserve. The wait staff is phenomenal. They are very knowledgable about their menu and are able to answer questions/make recommendations. My party and I arrived early enough to order the ribeyes-and they did not disappoint!! The salad is a unique twist on the traditional salad. A cucumber slice serves as a shellholding romaine lettuce topped with warm walnuts and bleu cheese. The bread came hot along with the salads. The ribeyes sell out quickly each night, so I was surprised to be able to order them that night. They were 3 inches thick and cooked to perfection-moist & flavorful. The menu is expensive, but worth the price if you want to splurge. The waiters are quite attentive, and clean your tablecloth between plates. Also, when coming back from the bathroom, our waitor had folded our napkins in shapes. I can only imagine what the desserts would be like, but I will never make it to that part of the menu. What a fantastic experience! Sidenote: they do not take Discover credit cards!

I am simply stunned that there are not any more reviews of this place. Without a doubt, BEST STEAK IN THE WOOORLD!!!!!! Or, at least the world I live in... Sure, it's pricy...sure I felt out of place being the only person not wearing a business suit...sure I got drunk and embarrassed myself and my friends... But, man-oh-man, this is one of the few times they didn't really care! The food was mind-blowing! Stuffed mushrooms the size of my fist, beautiful cucumber-wrapped salads with a wonderful house dressing, and the steak...uuuuggghhllllll.... you don't even need teeth to enjoy this peppercorn encrusted diamond in the rough. Listen...it's expensive, fo sho. So, that means no annoying college kids (and in a town that's FULL of them, it's like a vacation in the bahamas). So, treat yourself. I PROMISE you will find yourself dreaming about this place when you're...i don't know...lying in bed alone.

Just don't order the specials. Made the mistake tonight. Ordered the aged rib-eye special. It was charred on one side and was only a half inch thick. No way it was 15 oz.. Then we got the bill. $42.50!! For a steak no better than a G&D steak! Stick with the filets.

An incredible burger! I had the Broiler burger, which is made of fillet mignon marinated in Cabernet Sauvignon. Did I mention it's HUGE?!?!? I'd say at least a third of a pound if not more. The steak fries are quite delicious as well. A little pricey, but not if you can catch the half price happy hour special. I may have found a favorite burger joint in Columbia.

Ate here mid week with my wife. As stated elesewhere, reservations not accepted. We got here early and were seated immediately. Even though it was only a little after 5:00 the place was beginning to fill up. Realized after a bit (by the black and gold) that there was a Mizzou basketball game this evening. I think that contributed to the crowd. By the time we left there were a considerable number of people waiting. Service was good. Our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable. A little concerned when a large party came in and he was the waiter for that table, but our service never diminished. The wait staff help each other out and that is always a good sign. Had the house made, beer-battered onion rings as an appetizer. Very good, nice size serving. Meals come with salad and a side, which makes this a pretty good deal for an upscale restaurant - I have bought a lot of $7.00 baked potatoes over the years. In addition to being very good, the salad has a unique presentation. I am not going to go into detail, but in all my travels, have never seen this before. It was an excellent salad. Had the house-made bleu cheese dressing. A loaf of sourdough bread served with the salad. Had a small slice and it was good. My wife and I both ordered the Filet Mignon. Comes in two sizes - guess who had the larger?!. Excellent steak, cooked to perfection, melt-in-your-mouth tender. Baked potato was fine. They do know how to prepare their food here. The restaurant has moved from the downtown location at the old Greyhound bus station (first time I was in there was on a bus). Current location is convenient (to us), parking is easy. Like many steakhouses they try to maximize seating, which means it gets a little noisy as the crowd builds and folks have a drink or two. One of those things you just have to accept in this type of establishment - upscale, but not fine dining. Really nothing negative to say. 5 stars from me.

The service was horrible and the reason why is the owner and manager seem to be ok with it. We ordered 3 times to find out the 3rd time that they where out of rib eye. They could not get the drink ordered right now. The manager said that the wait staff did what they where told. I would never go back or send anyone there. The worst part is that my friend made a point of telling them it was my 40th birthday.

I love everything everything everything about this restaurant!! Bread, salad, wine, oh, and did I mention the steak is amazing!? Don't forget to add a piece of chocolate cake at the end of your meal. Simply the best! The best wait staff as well...look forward to seeing them just as much as we look forward to the food!

We used to come here for special occasions when we lived in the area. Their steaks are glorious, but they also have immaculate salads (all wrapped up in a lengthwise-sliced cucumber cylinder with house-made dressing) and delicious soups (chicken fajita is a favorite). If you want to come here on a graduation night, come EARLY or be prepared to wait!

Holy Macaroni -- I signed up for Yelp just to review this restaurant. As a San Francisco-trained Foodie / Food Snob / Restaurant fiend, I've been bitterly, bitterly disappointed as I've travelled the world... you can imagine upon getting to Columbia that I assumed I was going to be faced with choosing between Fried Frozen Crap Chain #1 or Fried Frozen Crap Chain #2... if I was lucky. Sweet Fancy Moses am I glad I found CCs! A friend who went to MU recommended it.. found the old location... all boarded up and dead. God-of-your-choice forbid they put up a sign saying, "we've moved!". Out of desperation, we called the number, and got directions to the new location. Saw strip mall and meh looking front, and thought, "well, my low expectations were justified...". But.... Got seated after a pleasant wait at the bar, talked to the hostess about our what we wanted, and heard "I'll send [the owner] out!" "Sure, ok," thought I, "whatever." Nope - he happened to be there that night and took time from a busy service (did I mention we were walkins on valentine's eve?) to talk to us. We put ourselves in his and our server's hands and had one of the best meals we've had outside of SF - ever. (Save your breath NY, Chicago, DC, whatever. Y'all are overrated.) Fresh. Delicious. Inventive. Waitstaff that gave a damn about the food and their guests. Fantastic! I have but one bone to pick: The bread sucks. You think it's good, but you don't know. You're very wrong. Dude, [owner], if you see this: You're missing a profit profit opportunity -- ship in _real_ SF sourdough and put it on the menu at $5/person upcharge. Would have made the night un-criticizable. As we mentioned at the time - the spinach is good, the potato au gratin is fantastic, the bisque is great (seafood? in the middle of nowhere? I was dubious and pleasantly surprised) and the steak is the best we've ever had (see previous: suck it, Chicago). As for "expensive" - yeah, mebbe, compared to "Warmed Up Frozen Crap Emporium" or Aunt Faye's Gulp And Go. $20-30 for a steak (with sides, though the upgrade sides are worth every penny) is _not_ expensive for the quality of this meal. The wine list was remarkably reasonable, and if you show you know what you're talking about, they may have something tucked away for you. Don't bring your kids, don't bring some pointless comparison to a $10 "steak" you had at Roadside Roadkill Grill 'n' Beer, and don't expect to be in and out in less than at least 1 hour - give it the time, attention and escape it deserves... even if it is in a strip mall. Very, very glad we found it. Posting here in hopes that some other poor foodie dreading a trip to nowheresville (sorry, Columbia; I lack the energy to review the other "restaurants" I visited, but suffice it to say, "meh" would be kind) might find this and have their trip brightened. Heck, the next time I'm faced with the prospect of spending a night within, oh, 3 hours of the place, I'm driving there for dinner. And, no, I have no affiliation. I'm just so damned tired of being utterly disappointed by restaurants that the one time I am surprised by being _blown_away_ with a positive experience, I had to share. But, hey, C.C.s, if you swipe that real-bread idea, I may demand payment in delicious steak dinners, if I'm ever back in your 'hood. : ) Keep up the good work, and know your restaurant could stand up anywhere.

Time for an update. This location is now Mackenzies Steak & Seafood. Their 2nd location in town. Just my humble opinion, but you owe it to yourself to frequent both Mackenzies and CC's Steakhouse when in Columbia....both are excellent!

This is one of the ritsy Columbia restaurants (one of two or three, probably) - expensive, with $50 wines, but worth it if you are celebrating something and don't mind spending a little more. There is indoor and outdoor seating, but the outdoor is fairly enclosed so even on the hot hot August evening that we went, the temperature was well bearable. The food is delicious - I can only speak for the vegetarian (an option they always have but it helps to warn them ahead of time), but everyone else polished off their plates as well. My grilled portabello tasted like sirloin, although I'm trying not to think about the fact that the taste probably derives from it being grilled right next to a sirloin. Service was friendly and because the restaurant isn't that big, they do pay attention to you. I'm not sure when I'll be able to go back, but it was worth this visit.

Best steak house in Columbia. Will stand up to great NYC places like Smirh and wollensky. In a bizzare negative twist no reservations are accepted, although prices, size, and atmosphere demand it. come early or come late.

Still one of the better restaurants in Columbia. Good service, nice location, great wine. But... this is my second visit where my rare steak was overcooked on one end, and cooked fine on the other. My salad was overdressed, but good. The twice-baked potato again cold inside. The place is on the verge of being great, the quality of the meat is unbelievable... but too just too many missteps to warrant the high price in CoMo.

Was in town for work a couple of weeks ago and my group and I were excited to eat here. I always search for local favorites when out of town and this one was at the top of my list for Columbia. We went on a Friday night around 8 pm and had about a 30 minute wait which was perfectly fine with us. While we were waiting I was approached by the hostess and was asked word for word "What are you doing here?" I was somewhat taken back by this and came to the conclusion that we were not exactly welcome there due to one of our party of five's attire. One guy had a hooded sweatshirt one, not grungy by any means but a bit underdressed for the place while the rest of us were dressed business casual. Once we were seated a very professional and polite waiter greatest us and gave us the breakdown of how they age their meat etc. We had just moved passed the rudeness of the hostess when she came back again and asked "Who sent you here?" Are you kidding me, she wanted to know who sent us here so she could let them know not to send a guy in a goodies there again? Wow, ok, we were even able to dismiss that when the waiter came back and told us they were out of ribeyes. Friday night, 830 pm, out of ribeyes, and I am at a steakhouse? I am sure their food is great but I was disapointed that we had to leave, sheer principle. What kind of manager let's a lady like that work up front and allows their steakhouse to run out of ribeyes. The experience was bad enough to make me join yelp and write a review.

This is prob one of Columbia's nicest restaurants. It is for sure a special occasion place, with very experienced staff, good wine list, and GREAT seafood. The seafood is all I have ever had here, so thats al I can comment on, but I hear pretty much everything is good. Its smaller, and more intimate than any place you will find downtown. It's fairly expensive (i dont remember how much, on average, as the parentals were in town and took me to dinner there) so plan accordingly. The staff was all very friendly, when I first walked in and was waiting for the rest of my party, I thought the lady at front (i think maybe the owner) was kinda bitchy and rude...until my parents walked in and she could tell I could actually afford to be eating here (I didn't realize we were eating somewhere nice... thus i was not quite dressed as I probably should have been). But all-in-all a great dining experience. Go and try to scallops. They had a really good salmon special, which my dad got and of course I tried, that was AMAZING, too.

We were with a group of 8 and had called to see if we could get a reservation (Sunday night). While they do not take reservations the person we spoke with was very helpful in telling us that normally there is no more than a 30-45 minute wait (which is typical any where it seems). Once we arrived, the person remembered speaking to us and let us know it would be a little wait. Instead of waiting for tables to clear, they opened up another dining area for our group, which was really nice. The bar is very good and had a nice selection to keep us entertained and hydrated while we waited for our table. Once seated, daily specials were described. They have a really nice menu selection of different types of steak, salmon and lobster (I do not remember if any chicken dishes or not). There was also a nice selection of appetizers and side dishes. Our group tried both the fried oysters and onion rings. Very good and would recommend (great taste, little grease). The salads were very good, not your typical iceberg lettuce offering. I particularly enjoyed the basaltic vinaigrette dressing. The main meal presentation was great! They placed all main dishes in front of each of us covered, then did the reveal for all of us at once. This was a really nice touch and made for an enjoyable experience we weren't expecting. All dishes were served as ordered and were very delicious. Dessert was excellent, Creme Brûlée cheesecake. Decadent and delightful. I will definitely return when in the area and highly recommend this restaurant. Staff service was excellent.

I came here with my boyfriends family on a Friday night and let me tell you... This place fills up fast! Within 40 minutes of opening we got one of the last available tables! Good sign! We started the night off with two appetizers, the onion rings and the fried oysters. The onion rings were hands down some of the best I've had, but unfortunately the oysters didn't follow suit. They didn't taste the freshest, I would definitely say pass on those. For our entrees we got steaks all around the table. 2 duchess filets, the steak Sinatra, and the special of the night a dry aged ribeye! The filet was phenomenal! The bacon wrap was a great addition to this classic! My boyfriend got the Sinatra after our waitress informed us they were out of his first choice, Gary's steak, which was the reason we came. He claims that was the best steak he's ever had, which I could definitely see being that they sold out of it within the first hour!! However he was still very pleased with the steak Sinatra! The Ribeye on the other hand was poorly trimmed of fat leaving a lot of wasted steak, but still very tasty! Overall this place has it down! I just wish we arrived earlier to get Gary's steak! Come early people!!
