Bar Louie is a fun place to hang out and have a happy hour, but the food/service is just ok. Nothing is terrible, but nothing outstanding either. Their appetizers are good but most of their options are your run of the mill bar food. People don't come here for the food though, it's the atmosphere. This new location has been busy since it opened and I can only imagine that will continue, especially when the weather is nice and you can utilize their pretty patio space.

I really loved it here. The service was good and so was my food. Oh, and I'd definitely recommend the macaroni!

After a recent terrible experience at Bar Louie in St Charles, we tried again at the new Chesterfield location. Service and food were great. We shared tempura shrimp appetizer with three sauces, the verde chicken flatbread and boneless wings. Flatbread and wings were on happy hour half price. All paired with white wine and a fat tire. Great food and great service. This place got it rights. And the full crowd proves it.

I reserved a group of tables at Bar Louie last night for a going away party and it was an awesome decision! Our waitress Kelly was one of the best servers I've ever had. She kept all of the tabs in order and continuously checked on everyone and got everyone a drink as soon as they walked in.

Stopped in for dinner with family when I was in the area--good place, modern decor, busy, great drink selection and food. I has the Blue Louie burger w/o the buffalo sauce (fresh blue cheese, fresh spinach, and bacon. The accompanying tater tots were great, not nearly as oily as the ones from grade school. Burger was huge and cooked right. I also tasted like he Chicago Stockyard burger, which was at least as good as my new, maybe better. The Orange Mule cocktail was great tasting--some kind of alcoholic sour orange/ginger beer flavor. Would definitely go back but probably earlier as it seems like the place is always jam-packed.

Was just there. Only about 12 other customers in the place. Sat there for 15 minutes and was never waited on. Took our business elsewhere.

Arrived at 7 pm on Thursday night. Grabbed an open seat at the bar. Immediately greeted by bartender who remained attentive throughout my stay. Loved the atmosphere and I am anxious to go back and try some food. The valley has very few quality places to casually hang out. I hope they do well.

Sunday night visit with a large group. Food service was slow, but that is expected with a large group. Service staff was very friendly. 2 major issues: 1. An appetizer was delivered to our table on accident. It sat on our table for 10 minutes. Another server came over and took it from our table to the table ut was supposed to go to!! Not sanitary, very disgusting. If I would have gotten that appetizer, I would have been pissed. 2. We had no utensils, so the server went to a table that has people sitting at it and took some from them. I was not ok with that. I don't know if those people touched those napkins or silverware. Disgusting and not sanitary!!! Makes me wonder what else is being done in a disgusting and unsanitary way...... Will not be back

I've been here twice since it's close to my hotel, but they never reach the level of the other BL's I've visited. Calamari was soggy and voodoo chicken had 'crispy' rice that had been in the steamer too long. Too bad, it's in a nice location, but with so many other choices on the street, I'll be giving this one a pass in the future.

I'm not quite sure why this place had some bad reviews. We went here with another couple Saturday night. My only negative comment would be that the table seating is on a first come first serve basis. Other than that, the bartender was attentive as was our server when we sat down. Solid food and drinks. I'll go back.

Is this place a bar or a restaurant? I still haven't quite figured out the premise behind Bar Louie's split personality. I spent an evening there with some girlfriends on a weeknight. Before actually entering the establishment, I spent a few minutes outside in my car on a phone call, and watched while male patron after male patron walked into the building. Not a single woman went in or out??? When I finally walked in, I noticed the "Seat Yourself" sign, looked around and started to wonder where I would ever find a table for four what with all the "Reserved" signs sitting on all the tables, and the other tables full of people. I finally found a four seater all the way back in a corner, which was fine since the place is an extremely loud space, and we wanted a chance to talk and catch up. I waited 5 minutes for a waitress to greet me and take my drink order. She seemed to get a little more attentive once the entire group was seated at the table. The food is your average, over glorified bar food... fancy flatbreads, burgers and sandwiches. I opted for the grilled veggie wrap which was just okay considering the veggies were swimming in balsamic vinegar. I was hoping to take half home to save for lunch the following day, however, by the time I got it to my refrigerator it was already soggy and inedible. The fries were your typical fries, nothing special. I noticed the lack of presentation on my plate. If I'm going to pay $10.00 for a veggie wrap and fries, I'd prefer the food wasn't just half-hazardly thrown on my plate. All in all, I wouldn't go back for the food, but would meet others there for a drink. I would just make sure to get there early enough to find a seat. For a Wednesday evening before 7pm, the place was pretty packed with people. I would also choose to sit at one of the back tables away from the crowds. As I stated before, it can get pretty loud.

Wow. This was the worst service and food I've had in a very long time. 25 minutes to get a drink, had to send the food back because it was so bad I couldn't eat it. Will not be back.

Stopped in last week the day they opened. Service was prompt and we were seated immediately. Drinks arrived quickly and apps arrived in record time. Both the cocktails and apps were delicious. We were pleasantly surprised in thinking that since its a chain the food would be mediocre but it was worth noting. Service was friendly and very helpful in providing options & selections. Very surprised by this place. Hope they are able to keep the momentum.

Nice drinks at happy hour. The appetizers were just ok. The service staff was very good though. TVs all around. The restaurant is very loud. Tough to have conversations.
