Love the food, great seasoning on the shrimp and good ritas! Arroz con camerones is delicious

I love La Pachanga for the food and the chips and salsa, I hate this La Pachanga location for the terrible service. Odd are 4 out of every 5 visits you will wait 10-15 mins to place your order, then someone different will drop off the food, then you wont see the original guy until 10-20 mins after you wished they would have dropped the bill off. We usually ended hollering at whatever warm body walks by hoping to get a refill or the bill. It is such a shame because you can see in the the kitchen from the dining room and staff will just be eating and goofing off and this place could be perfect if they would just get their act together. However 1 out of every 5 visits they are spot on and attentive,so I am confused. I keep coming back for the yummy food and ranchero music :), but one day they will probably anger me to the point I will swear them off. Until then my husband loves the nachos magnificos and I love the vegetable quesadilla.

Went there today for the first time. Absolutely interchangeable with every other strip mall Mexican place. I had the steak chimichanga lunch special. Price was OK, but the chimichanga was very small. The steak inside was actually quite good, but tasteless melted cheese on top. Beans and rice nondescript. It was served with guacamole which had very little flavor. The salsa served with chips tasted like Campbell's tomato soup. I could make out 3 minuscule pieces of cilantro. The salsa was thin and runny. I have no plans to return.

First time at this location but have ate the one in Festus a few times. Place was clean and staff was friendly. Had a group of 10 and everyone was served quickly and drinks stayed full. Food was great and the price was spot on.

My husband and I decided to try this place because it was close to our home. We'll never do that again! He ordered fajitas with chicken, steak, and shrimp while I had fajita nachos with chicken. The shrimp in his fajitas were not shelled and still had the legs on them. He said his food was very salty and he actually didn't want to even finish it. My chicken was tough and some of my nachos were burned. I wasn't able to stomach much of it and ended up bringing some home. Maybe the kids will eat it. Our service was not good. We saw our server only a few times. When we were seated, when we ordered, when food was delivered, and when she brought a box. We were never offered refills in our empty drinks that were sitting at the end of the table for 5+ minutes. When it came time to pay, I got two different totals and ended up paying something different than both (how that happened, I don't know...). We got outta there as fast as we could. We should've turned around when the sign misspelled guacamole and the menu said that the chicken may contain bones (what???!!!!???). One thing is for sure, we'll definitely not be eating here ever again.

I would highly recommend NEVER eating at Lapachanga in Arnold. My bill was 2.16 and I gave the waitress a 10, she said she couldn't give me back the whole amount of change because she didn't have it. She told me she could only give me 6 dollars back. I asked to speak to the manager because that is very unprofessional to not give customers back their exact amount of change back. I know it was only about 2 dollars but still, that is MY money. I had to go to work so I left with the 6 dollars but called on my way and asked to speak to a manager. The exact same waitress picked up the phone and said the manager wasn't there so I asked when he would be and she hung up the phone. I finally talked to the manager where he told me she has been acting weird the past few days and he doesn't know what is going on with her... That it has happened more than once. WTF.. This bitch needs to be fired obviously. Horrible service and horrible management all around!!

So inconsistent. We've been several times since my last review and I feel a need to update so people aren't disappointed. We get the fajitas most times, sometimes very good, other times, like our last visit, not very flavorful. I still like the weekend lunch special prices, though. If you live in Arnold, give it a try, otherwise, I'd say just try the local American/Mexican joint.

Chips were fresh, but the food was so-so. Should have listened to my friend who said that the place is good sometimes. Salsa was ok, but not my fave.

I eat here often and the food is always great. Just stay away from the numbered combo meals (which holds true for most Mexican restaurants). The chips are always fresh and the salsa has a good flavor although it is not as spicy as like. La Pachanga is rarely super busy and that usually means you get your food fast usually within 10 minutes of ordering which is great when you don't have much time. I would definitely say that this is the best Mexican place in Arnold.

Just when I thought I had sworn off all of the Mexican restaurants in Arnold, I gave this place a try with my family a few weeks ago. It's located in the same plaza as the new Xist Fitness, and is next door to Tan Co. I gotta admit, my last few experiences at these type of Mexican restaurants have not been good. This is your standard, El Maguey, El Paisano, etc., type place. Standard Mexican fare with the same combination plates you've seen a million times. I've actually been to this place before, but it had been a long time (years) since I had last been here. With all of that said, I thought the food was pretty good. The chips and salsa were good, and actually tasted fresh. My enchiladas, tacos, and rice were all good. Nothing overly wonderful, but good for the prices they charge. I actually appreciated the way they made their Mexican rice. They didn't put green beans and other strange things in it like another crappy Mexican restaurant I went to recently. Just see my prior reviews and you'll know what I'm talking about. So, in summary, is this place Milagro? Absolutely not. Is it a decent place that is convenient? Absolutely. I'm sure I'll be back at some point when I'm craving Mexican food.

Never coming back here again. Store argued with us because they gave us the wrong order. Who gives nachos with only mounds of half melted cheese and meat? And then tell us while looking at the menu there isn't suppose to be other toppings?! Disgusting and bad service. This place use to be wonderful; not anymore

I like it but always get the shrimp fajitas or another shrimp dish. It's close by. My friend insists on going to the one out in Herculaneum but I have not noted any + - from one to the other. A good deal and I would recommend.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
