Me and my boyfriend ordered take out for dinner tonight which is a Monday. He had the Chicken Curry and white rice and asked for it to be extra spicy. He also ordered iced Vietnamese Coffee. I ordered the Egg Roll Noodle Salad with extra house sauce. We were told that it would be ready in 25 minutes. We went and picked up our dinner and it was ready in 25 minutes. The restaurant was clean and beautifully decorated. Everything we ordered was ready in the bag. There were some major downfalls concerning the food which is the reason I gave 2 stars. The Chicken Curry was not spicy what so ever and was full of pea pods and very little chicken. The egg rolls in the Egg Roll Noodle Salad were great but the salad itself, even with the extra house sauce, had no flavor. And I have had Egg Roll Noodle Salad at other places including my boyfriends Mother's who is from Laos. Over all it was an OK experience and will only go back if we are really craving Asian food and don't want to go to the cities or his parents house.

Flavorless ick. Calamari was unlike anything I've ever had, with a very odd texture. Can you fake calamari? Pig anus maybe?

The place was neat. clean, and the counter person was pleasant. That's about the only positives I can think of. I ordered wonton soup and hot and spicy shrimp with lemongrass. The soup was too hot to eat immediately so I started with the main dish. The vegetables were very fresh and not cooked to death like is so common so I was pretty excited to dig in. I was surprised to discover that the dish had no flavor. This was the menu description of the dish. "Large fresh shrimp stir fried with lemongrass, garlic, onions, red peppers, sliced water chestnuts and dried chili peppers" That sounded great but I didn't see or taste any Garlic, Chili Peppers, or Lemongrass. The Red Peppers, Onions, and Water Chestnuts were present but only added texture. They were crisp but flavorless. The Shrimp were not large by any ones definition. Not only were they small but there were only three or four and you guessed it. Also flavorless. While I tried finding any reason to continue with the bland dish, all I could think of was that I had the Wonton Soup to look forward to. I eventually gave up and moved on to the soup and WOW was it bad. The main dish lacked ALL flavor but the soup was very different. The broth was like liquified, boiling, Salt. Completely not edible. The Wonton itself was even worse. It actually almost made me vomit.

No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city.
