The food was decent. It was just a tad too salty for me, though. They had some creative dishes on their menu. One of the things we tried were the cranberry cream cheese wontons. I wish it were pieces of cranberry mixed in with the cream cheese instead of one uniform pink, not terribly cranberry, stuffing. It made the wontons seem a little kid oriented to me. I like the decor. Most amazing, however, was the staff. We went there for Mother's Day lunch. The server we had was so incredibly helpful and friendly, it really made the experience memorable for us.

Great Location, nice atmosphere...service was a little slow at Noon on a Sunday. Will be coming back to try other dishes.

Thando only just opened up this past friday, they also have another restaurant at St. Louis park. The service, quality of food and overall quality of the restaurant is impeccable for having only opened up a few days ago. They also have a bar, with a wide variety of drinks to choose from.

Imagine the most boring and mediocre Asian food you have ever eaten; you've just imagined something better than Thanh Do. Given how disappointing the food at the St. Louis Park location is, I honestly thought that the Woodbury location might have to be better. I was wrong. The cranberry puffs have always been a stable item, but everything else will make you wonder why on earth you're spending your time and money here. I'm not sure how many drinks it would take to get me to enjoy Thanh Do, and I'm not inclined to find out. I would definitely encourage potential visitors to find something else to eat; Thanh Do will leave you sad.

Thanh Do is awesome and to T.F, I don't agree with you. I think it's the best Asian food in Woodbury. It's alot better than Lee Ann Chins and Panda Express and Yang's and Duc's. The food is not boring and has plenty of flavor. I recommend that everyone try it when it reopens. The oxtail steamed buns kick ass! I tried two different curry dishes and they were both amazing. The Thai Green Curry is my favorite. The lamb lollipops will make you smile. The steak and potatoes were brilliant and the crab cakes will shock you because of how good they are. The egg rolls are great. The basil chicken and Mongolian beef rocked and the soft shell crab was good too. The only complaint I have is that I asked for Wasabi rice with lollipops and instead they gave me brown rice. The only thing I think they could do better is to add some more ingredients to their fried rice. I like the decorating and the staff are very kind and helpful. They held the door for me when I came in; what great service. Their cocktails are very good. It's nice to have some good Asian food in this area. I like it so much I have been there five times to dine-in and two times for take-out.

The restaurant is a nice, relaxing place to go have a beer and get some good food. The cranberry curry was good. I ordered 3 out of 5 spice level, and got a bowl of Thai pepper on the side. It was yummy. Great drinks, pleasant atmosphere, nice mood music playing overhead at that perfect volume that fills silences, buy allows casual conversation. Waitstaff was friendly. I recommend anyone who likes "fusion" food give this place a shot. I gave it five stars because it really stands out above its competitors in freshness, quality, variety, and price. Oh, and ask for Brett at the bar. Good guy. Have him make you an Aviation. Made with Bloom gin, it will surprise you.

Not for us, I guess. The good first: The staff is very nice and helpful. The fresh spring rolls were the best I've had in a long time. The cranberry puffs were interesting, a bit spicy and pink. The fried rice side was rice with almost nothing else added. It was OK, but uninteresting. I got the chicken lemongrass. It was rated a 2 on their heat scale. It was very hot. However, the worst part is that there didn't seem to be much in the way of any other favors to draw you back - it was just heat. My wife got the garlic chicken that was rated a 1 for heat and felt the same way. Neither of us finished or kept the extra for leftovers. We did take out, they won't have delivery for a couple of weeks yet, so didn't spend a lot of time there but it looks nice inside and a good place to hang out and have a drink.

I read the mixed reviews, so I hesitated coming here. But the craving of cheese puffs took over, so I decided to give it a shot. We walked in, and there wasn't any instruction on whether to seat yourself or wait for a host. So my friend and I stood around awkwardly for two minutes until the bartender noticed us. We ordered the cranberry cheese puffs, oxtail steamed buns, and two bowls of the Tokyo-style ramen. We got our cheese puffs right away, and it satisfied my craving very easily. So far so good! About 20 minutes later, we received our two bowls of ramen. (Apparently, they made the wrong type steamed buns, so they were remaking them. They apologized right away.) I wish I took a picture of the "ramen"... it looked like pho with sesame seeds and onions. The noodles were a bit under cooked and the broth was bland. The pork was the right consistency but also bland. I couldn't eat it. We received our steamed buns a few minutes after. I wasn't surprised that it was the cop out version where it looks like a mini white taco, but I secretly hoped it would be different. One bite into that and I got an odd sour flavor. The "ramen" was bland, but this was just disgusting. So disappointing. However, service did good job once we were actually seated, quick and attentive. But I don't think I'll be returning. Any other place can have delicious cream puffs with delicious and satisfying entrees to match.

Excellent food and service. Jessie is a great bartender. Catch him Thursday nights. He makes a great lemongrass martini! I'd also recommend the Jenna Jameson and the Princess cocktail. The tuna tartare, cranberry curry, egg rolls, and oxtail steamed buns are a must.

I had the Spanker soup and they made it completely vegetarian for me on request - and it was delicious! It's spice level is normally ** and it got * and was still spicy, and just the right level for me. The portion was enormous and had to take 2/3 home with me. Service was quick and everyone was friendly and attentive.

Very disappointed in our carry out order. I asked for sesame chicken NO SPICE because it was for my kids. Not only was the container half full but it was SPICY! You can actually see the pepper flakes. It wasn't too Spicy for an adult but definitely for kids. The Cranberry Wontons were just OK. I was hoping that this place was going to be better. The actual restaurant was remodeled nicely and maybe other dishes taste better. Unfortunately we are still going to have to drive across town to the only Great Chinese in Woodbury, YANGS!!!! Little Chopsticks across the street from Thanh Do is a pretty good alternative and they deliver but Yang's tastes the best.

We came here on a weekday a little before lunchtime. They were not busy at all. We were seated immediately but received no service afterwards. We were unsure of who our server was. After waiting for 20 min and watching 3 servers wait on one table, we left. Bad service.
