Great friendly service! I am always happy with what I order. Fettuccine Bolognese is great, one of my favorites. I also love the Pot Roast, juicy and tender, served with some roasted veggies. I've been coming here for forever, and it is always consistent.

A staple of downtown Wayzata. Good management , consistent food and service. They do a respectable and repeatable job that generates a good experience. On the most recent visit we had the roasted salmon, side salad, and sausage penne. It was nice to dine al fresco. The view of anthropology is new.

Nick Walker, the GM is amazing! He took a really bad situation and corrected it in minutes! and with a smile! I grew up in a restaurant environment and I can say, customer service like that just doesn't exist anymore....but it does here! Forgot to mention that the food is very good, as well!! I saw they have a "Wine and Dine" on Tuesdays and Saturdays! great deal, check it out!!!!

I was always happy with the food and service in the mid 2000s when I had an office nearby. I went yesterday and ordered what I usually did. The Sons Chopped salad. It took me a while and had to read the menu description again to see why the salad seemed so plain. They didn't add the chicken, or salami to it. This being a $12 salad, and I was still hungry I brought it back to get another one to go. I had the redo today, and it seemed like they went skimpy on the chicken and salami, and also didn't add the cheese its supposed to come with. New cook? Not enough training? No double checking even on a redo dish to save face? Basil lemonade was a good idea, just way too sweet. Plenty of other places in Wayzata. Hope they fix it, or make way for a group with better effort.

I ate at Damicos restaurant in the Wayzata last week with my wife. I have been going to this location for the past 20 years eating there about once a month because it has been great food and a great value for the money. Lately we have been eating here less and less because it seems that the food is more inconsistently prepared and they are making changes to the menu that are resulting in a less quality product than they have served in the past. This is not the direction that I am happy with. In particular, I have been a long time fan of the linguine with mushrooms and pancetta. They have changed this to be spaghetti with mushrooms and pancetta and the result is a big step down in this revised preparation. The noodles and pancetta both have decreased substantially in terms of the quality and tastiness. Damico's, what the heck are you doing. Hopefully enough of us long-term customers are noticing the decrease in quality and are complaining loudly enough to get noticed. Damicos management, you are screwing up your great restaurant!

This review isn't for this particular location, but for D'Amico in general. My hubby and I stopped here for a quick bite a few days ago and I was reminided how much I appreciate these spots. I had a delicious vegetable dish that was dressed perfectly, fresh, even though it was a chilled salad it had a warm and filling taste in your mouth, it was beautiful to look at and left me wishing I had room for more! I'm going on a search for a cookbook that will allow me to make their salads at home - I am such a fan of their presentation and the flavors. For example, they had a seasonal honeycrisp apple salad. It had the usual ingredients, chicken, grapes, honey crisp apples, maybe walnuts, but there in the dressing of the salad was a hidden ingredient I wouldn't have considered, VERY finely chopped mint. That little addition made all the difference. Thank you for giving a "faster food" option to those of us who really detest fast food.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
