This is sure a fast food place. But the Fox "News" on one TV & some ultra conservative religious program on another reflects an attitude and sort of drove us a little to distraction. We will not be going back since there are plenty of fast options on the N side of Rochester

Service is always fast. I prefer frozen custard to ice cream so I come here every so often. It isn't my favorite frozen custard but it is the only option here in Rochester so it works. I prefer the gelato place in University Square, it is closer to real frozen custard than this place. Culver's is more like soft serve to me. Some people like that though so maybe you will love it. I have only tried the food once and it was good. Greasy and unhealthy, but good. No veggie options which is a no-go for me. I feel it is still better than regular ice cream joints, hence the 4 stars. :-)

This is a family favorite of ours. The owner is always there and consistently asks us how we are enjoying our food. The food is always fresh and tasty. Get a kids meal. You get a nice burger, salad, and drink for a decent price and get a frozen custard thrown in for free. It's a nice meal. Very reasonably priced, a sit down dinner pace (not fast food) without the tipping and annoying waiters.

This is one of the best kept secrets in the Midwest. The burgers are great and are actually better w/o cheese as the balance of flavor is better. You can tell the shakes are good quality dairy. The cheese curds are OK. I'm not a fan of that kind of breading. The service is friendly and there are many choices. A great alternative to the national chains.

This was the first time we have visited since the remodel was done. It looks very nicely updated. Kudos! The reason we came was because my daughter just had her braces put on and I promised her ice cream...and I hadn't had lunch yet. Walking in, the cashier was...not sure how to explain...but didn't have much enthusiasm. She did say 'hi'. My daughter ordered a double scoop ice cream and it was huge! She had her ice cream from a gentleman worker (guessing manager but the way he dressed) before I had even completed my order. I didn't order much, but it didn't take long. Their burgers are very good, but my favorite is their onion rings. Yummy! When the lady brought our food, she asked if there was anything else. We asked for a cup and spoon to put the ice cream cone in because it was too big to eat before it melts. She brought it very quickly. The place was clean and someone was vacuuming while we were there. I did not visit the restroom, but my daughter was in there and didn't complain to me. The one disappointment I had was that when I had been there before, there is usually someone who comes around and checks on people. Not such a big worry to me...it is fast food. This was 2:30 on a Tuesday afternoon, so of the 8-10 tables there, we were the only ones that were not in the senior age range. I only mention someone checking on the customers because the senior age people were being asked how things were and they went right around us. I'm sure that some of them are regulars for coffee and ice cream, but they should do for all of they're going to do it. This is the reason for knocking off a star. We don't go often, but I know we'll be back.

As far as good fast food goes, I prefer this to the usual mcdonalds and so on. Good burgers, chicken tenders and shakes. Just don't abuse :)

I have a big gripe about this place-their french fries are lousy!! I like their flavor of the days and butterburgers-but the fries have no salt or flavor and are limp! The chicken tenders and walleye are very good-and the place is much cleaner than Wendy's or McDonald's at Apache Mall-go there if you want the next day off work=)
