Best meatball sub anywhere. I also really enjoy their smokehouse brisket sandwich. The thing I really appreciate is the customer service. Firehouse has excellent, attentive staff that make sure your experience is top notch.

When you hire the right people that go above and beyond like Derek at Richfield Firehouse subs it makes all the difference. First time visiting this sub place after a recommendation. New location, very clean and well laid out. Derek offered recommendations that were spot on. The NY steamer with corned beef brisket and pastrami with melted provolone was utterly delicious. Be sure to add extra firehouse sauce. The price, unlike another review was actually really fair for the food you get. It's a higher quality sub than Subway or a Quiznos. Great bread and fresh ingredients. I highly recommend this place to my friends and family. if you find yourself in Richfield and are Hungry, this is the place to be. Derek is a superstar and my family and I will be heading back soon!

Took the other yelpers advice and ordered 3 smokehouse beef and cheddar brisket subs. Ordered in médiums for 6.99 each. I had lunch earlier so was still Kinda stuffed so ate 1/2 of the sub. Very delicous and you even get à pickle spear. I might order next time and hold mayo. Supper tonight for husband and son. They said they can be microwaved but will probably put in the oven à short time. They also have the make your own coca cola soda your way for pop drinkers.

Thumbs up: They have really good sweet tea. Sweetened with real sugar. Fair enough: The subs are alright - more along the line of Quiznos than Subway. A tad overpriced. If you're close by and want to give it a whirl, it's not terrible, but there are certainly better sandwiches out there and I don't recommend going out of your way.

Wide variety of different subs including a vegetarian option and salads. If your craving a sub skip subway and come here. The prices are very fair and the quality and taste wins me over. Also, nicest people! The employees were really kind and really cared how we liked the food. I can't wait to come back.

Love my Turkey Salsa Verde sandwich! Order ahead, have it hot and ready when you get there. Friendly team, and the food is great! Most tender meats you'll find at any sandwich shop, try them all! I've loved every one I've tried.

This is the slowest place I have ever been to in my life... Don't go here unless you plan on waiting for 30 minutes. The sub was standard. I will never eat here again

Inedible, soggy sub (had to throw it away and waste it because it was that bad) that took 25 minutes to make with no line... terrible!

It was my first visit. I ordered the club sandwich. It was fine. Not wonderful, but fine nevertheless. This real issue here is the service. I walked in at 12:45 on a Friday and there were maybe 5 customers seated. This should have told me there were problems. While I was looking at the menu, two more customers came in and I told them to go ahead of me. Big mistake. There were 4 employees in the store--one making sandwiches, one cashier, one doing some cleaning in a side room, and one that I assumed was the supervisor, who basically was doing nothing other than pacing behind the counter. One sandwich came up, it was for one of the seated customers. Long story short, with that one guy making sandwiches and 4 orders ahead of me (another seated customer and the two I let go ahead), it took over 15 minutes to get my sandwich. No one came in after I ordered, so why wouldn't the do-nothing supervisor jump in to help the sandwich maker, or at least direct the cashier to help. With so many other made to order sandwich shops around, I don't see myself going back there. And If they don't up their game on service, this place won't last.

Firehouse Subs in Richfield is Great. They had some teething pains when they first opened, but now everything seems to be going well. The service is fast and friendly and the sandwiches are fantastic.

The subs were OK, the Coke Freestyle machine was absolute garbage. My wife and I tried 4 different flavors of soda and they were all septic.

I don't know, this place is just ok to me. The sandwiches aren't bad, but they aren't anything to write home about either. I think they are expensive for the size of the sandwich you get. I would recommend you try it for yourself and see what you think but it's not my particular cup of tea.

They completely forgot about our order. After waiting 20 minutes and seeing 2 different orders for people come out I inquired if our subs were even being made. 10 minutes later out comes our subs but they made the wrong one for my boyfriend so his had to be remade. 30 minutes for fast food and the manager didn't offer us free vouchers or anything. Very surprised. My pastrami and roast beef sub tasted like an old hot dog. We definitely will not be back.

My husband and I stopped in for lunch to grab a sub to go. Employees were extremely friendly (maybe they read previous reviews) and the manager walked us through the menu and made suggestions since it was our first time there. I got the Hook and Ladder light on Wheat. Meat is freshly sliced and all toppings were really good. I put Firehouse sweet/hot sauce on the side and ended up slathering it on the whole sub - it was delicious. Next time I'll skip the mayo and just do Firehouse sauce. My husband got Hook and Ladder on white. He enjoyed the toppings too but the white bread got a bit soggy - would stick with wheat. Overall I would probably give this place 3.5 stars due to not hearty enough white bread but since other reviews were a bit too harsh, rounded up to give this place a fighting chance. I'll be back for more Firehouse sauce!

I stopped in to this newly opened Firehouse today for lunch at about 1pm on a Sunday. I was more than a little surprised that there were only two people eating there and no one in line, considering they have only been open a few days and normally new places like this are quite busy when they first open. I had heard a radio commercial for the meatball sub and it even has its own panel on the giant menu behind the counter. I ordered the large meatball on white and wanted a bowl of broccoli cheese soup but was told they didn't have it yet, so I tried the chili instead. I liked the marinara sauce on the sub and the bread was pretty good too. The provolone was a bit tasteless and the meatballs themselves were not as good as advertised. Overall, it was a decent sandwich, filling for sure, but a little disappointing given the hype and the $8 price. The chili tasted and looked like they brought it over from the Wendy's across the street, seriously. This isn't a bad thing at Wendy's $0.99 price but this one cost $3.39. Not worth it. The employees were nice enough, they all welcome you as you step inside. The manager even came over and chatted as I was waiting. It felt a bit awkward that there was no music playing or anything and there was a tv on the wall but it wasn't on. I'm guessing that will change once they get their corporate media package or whatever. The place was clean and looked nice. Some cool firefighting gear and photography on the walls, too. It was a middle of the road experience food-wise. I won't reorder either of the items I got today, but I will be back to try the smokehouse sub, and hopefully they will have some broccoli cheese soup by then, too.

This particular location was less than satisfying, and not so much because of the food, but because of the service and the environment. The cashier seemed annoyed that we wanted to order... I actually had to ask her if she was ready for our order... we were not greeted at all. The place smells like fresh paint, and it was almost too overwheliming to eat there, which defiinitely distracted from our meal. The bread at Firehouse is usually fantastic, but here it was undercooked and dry (not sure how you pull that off)... I've definitely had better experiences at other locations.

Stopped in to try this place for the first time today after hearing good things from a few different friends. A guy whom I would guess is the owner was there....suuuper friendly and so was the rest of the staff. I really wanted to try the quintessential Firehouse Sub, and the staff was happy to go through the menu with me. After a little deliberation, I settled on the Italian and it was delectable. The atmosphere is different, but it's nice to see a place mix it up a little. Highly recommend this spot and I will certainly be back. Probably more than my jeans would like me to be.

First of all, this place is AWKWARD. I give this a 3 star rating because the smokehouse beef and cheddar sub is unbelievably amazing. I had the meatball another time, it's alright, but not much better than subway, actually -- as in, it's just kinda normal and good to eat. If it weren't for the smokehouse sub I would be going on and on about this place pretty negatively. As mentioned, this place is INCREDIBLY awkward -- no music and no employees hardly talking at all to each other both times I went. My fiancee was on the fence about getting anything while we stopped in and after being stared down silently by the no-need-to-be-but-still-are-for-some-reason zombie employees, she decided not to get anything since she felt so incredibly awkward. I don't blame her at all. If I were to critique the place directly, I would tell them to call up Muzak and get some actual music playing, and to get the employees to start TALKING to EACH OTHER instead of staring at/making stupid and/or counter-productive banter with the customers in a silent and very reverberant room with no music while the customers (try to) look at the menu. Felt like I was in the Twilight Zone or something. In conclusion, This place sucks to not know what you want at, so maybe look online first, and I will 100% be coming back here whenever I get $6 again for the incredible beef and cheddar brisket sub. Oh my god that was delicious.

Under 500 calorie sandwich options are new. Service was good. Lots of hot sauce options! And cherry Dr. Pepper! Round up your total and they will donate to a local fire Dept.
