    I live in California & my boyfriend lives in Las Vegas. Growing up in Plymouth, he swears by Latuff's pizzas as the best he's ever had. That's the story he tells me since we met a year ago. Last month, he took me back to his hometown & celebrated birthdays of the 3 siblings in the family & meeting his high school friends, both occasions at where else but Latuff's. They love it & I do too.

    I am a firm believer that there are different types of pizza and that depending on your desire, only that type of pizza will do. Sometimes I really want Papa Johns pizza, and sometimes I want a CT pizza with white sauce, red potatoes, and bacon...and I am ok with that. This is a thin cracker crust (think matzo bread) loaded with cheese and toppings. It is the type of pizza where the crust is irrelevant, and really just a a vehicle for the toppings. We were splurging so we got cheesebread. Bleh. Freezer quality. The onion rings on the table next to us looked amazing, and one day we will get those with a big salad to ease our conscious. Yeah, I'll be back, but mainly because I live nearby. I would not go out of my way. But in a few months I will want to eat a big circle of cheese, and I will go to Latuff's...and I will love it. And service? Minnesota nice. We had amazing service. Oh - I also appreciated that there was a very diverse group of customers with regard to working/upper class. I dig a place that can appeal to the masses. But I suppose if anything crosses SES lines, it is mozzarella.

    I've been having Latuff's for years, maybe even decades (uh, yeah, that might age me a bit.) Basically ever since my paternal aunt and uncle moved to Michigan when I was a wee lass, we have been having Latuff's every time they return home for a family visit. For the most part, I've only had their take out, and it's never disappointed. If I lived closer, I'd probably have it far more often than once or twice a year. The only regret I have with Latuff's is that I didn't make it to the extended family outing there after my rehearsal dinner. My brother ending up getting so wasted he puked all night, a couple of my cousin's were out-of-control, and that side of the family looked worse for wear on my wedding day. Uh, wait, maybe it was best I didn't make it there that night.

    Great pizza! Like Ks K, My wife and I are also very picky about our pizza. She is particularly fond of NY style. The crust is flavorful and their toppings are plentiful. I highly recommend their fried pickle chips as an appetizer. We've dined in and carried out. The service is the epitome of the friendly Midwest atmosphere. They have some great beers on tap as well. The place is decorated like a typical divey family pizza joint. They are pretty close to our place making carry out a quick option for dinner in a jiffy. Prices are appropriate for the quantity and quality of the food. We will be back! EDIT (7/2/12): A couple weeks ago we came in and decided to try something besides pizza. MISTAKE! I had the Italian sandwich and my wife had a pasta dish. Both were fantastically average. From now on we'll stick to their pizza. Too bad the rest of the menu is not as awesome as the pie! Oh well.

    This is my third time here and I've had pizza every time. If you're looking for a really great thin crust pizza, this is the place. Very generous on the toppings, great crust! Service is quick and friendly, and the dining room feels very homey. For the size, they have at least a couple interesting tap beers which was a nice surprise.

    Amazing Minnesota style pizza. Make sure to order a big pizza. Why? Bring the rest home and eat it later to enjoy Latuffs later.

    I've been ordering their pizzas for over 20 years. My biggest worry was when the closed that original location that Latuffs would not come back. Well they did, and they didn't change their recepies, and the added a full bar, and the restrooms are up date date, and the dining room staff hasn't changed much. And the Pizza is Still The Best. The hardest one to get right is a cheese pizza. Theirs is superb. The easiest pizza to get wrong is a "veggie" pizza, what with the watery broccoli and harsh onions and canned mushrooms. Skip it wherever you go. And no. Pepperoni won't help. They don't have rootbeer. Almost as essential as real beer, expecially when lunch rules out beer altogether. I always leave a nice tip. I don't want those servers going to another establishment.

    We drove all the way from St Paul for this pizza. As well traveled pizza fans (NY, Chicago), we are very picky & our favorite pizza place in StPaul closed (RIP Grampa Tonys). Now we have to drive clear across the cities to Plymouth for the only pizza that truly earns the name Pizza. We completely enjoyed the cherry Cokes, dinner salads, meatballs dip w garlic bread added cheese, cheese & mushroom pizza & specialty pizza. We ordered a Half baked cheese pizza to go. The new location is awesome, plenty of seating & parking. Our server was very nice, very efficient for a Saturday night. Definitely worth the drive. We will be going there the next time a craving for the best thin crust pizza hits!

    Used go there often food is great and some servers are as well but do not want to play Russian roulette and get a bad server so no longer go there. And when I say bad I mean out right rude and nasty servers that make you feel like you are bothering them by being there. The food is great but not worth the risk.

    This review is on account for a recent group reservation. It's long, but it was a very, very long night. When asked where he wanted a groom's dinner, my to-be husband picked Latuff's, a place that held really good memories for him after playing hockey as a youngster. Being from a small-business family myself, I thought that was great instead of picking a larger chain restaurant. We stopped in months beforehand to make sure we could have the back room and to start planning. The waitress let us talk to one of the owners -- he was so personable that we chatted for 15 minutes before he went back to work. We stopped over another time to set the menu and have dinner with in-laws. 1/2 of the back room was to be reserved for our group if we agreed to have a very, very late groom's dinner so they could keep their dinner rush. We thought that was fair and set our dinner for 8:15 p.m. They assured us there would be no problem, 1/2 the room would be private and cozy and waiting, we could put a DVD on the TV if we wanted, salads and cheesy bread and wings would be waiting before the pizza came out... etc. We had a medium-sized group of 23, 24. I am at the point of tears almost when writing this, because nothing, *nothing* was as promised. We can't get that night back to relive. It defeated the whole purpose of a fun groom's dinner. It was supposed to feel just like the times when he and his groomsmen would go out for dinner following a hockey game. It felt like mass chaos. The restaurant staff avoided me and my groom, no one even congratulated us or apologized -- in tears in the lobby, my Dad came and gave me a hug and said, "This is really disappointing, but it's going to be ok." Nothing was ready when we came. In fact, our families and groomsmen all had to wait in the lobby. We would not be receiving the private back room as promised. Instead, when we were seated, our guests were awkardly placed throughout the back room amongst other guests. They simply did not even try to stop seating at the appropriate time to reserve the back for us. There were other tables of guests all around us. There was no food waiting. No one knew where to sit or how to split up. It wasn't private, so we couldn't easily make polite introductions to let people know who was who. We couldn't even publicly thank our parents for coming because we'd be yelling over the other guests. Finally, about 3/4 of the way through our night, the room emptied and we were alone. Then the groom's cake. I dropped it off earlier in the day in a large box. Told them clearly that a cake was in it and they needed to carry it flat and store it flat. When they brought it out, I watched her inside the kitchen carry it with it basically tilted against her chest. I worried somewhat, wondering how long they'd been carrying it like that. Then the kitchen door opened by the hostess stand and I heard a chef/man in the back say, "Hey, it's not our responsibility." Then they brought out the expensive grooms cake: half slid off the plate, frosting wrecked, and you couldn't read the words along the bottom because they had been smudged. At that point I was fighting back tears with my everything. His special present, ruined, and the most compassionate thing said about it was, "Hey, not our responsibility." No one apologized to us personally, the bride and the groom, for the disorganization and mess, the wrecked cake, the food that wasn't out, the waiting we had to do, the drinks we had to get ourselves at the bar because our server was clearly oversat in the entire back room and the hostess said, "I wouldn't bug her now, she's really busy." I'm just so bummed about the entire experience.

    We really wanted to like this local establishment, but the long wait, slow service and so-so pizza on two visits haven't helped. The crowds show their business must be booming, so they don't need ours.

    Crap service, waitress forgot part of our order, never refilled drinks, dropped off pizza and never checked back til it was time to leave.horrible service. We were choking down the pizza with nothing to drink, finally decided to take it home where we could get something to drink. It is just pizza, can find something else just as good ANYWHERE else. Another waitress tried to tell us that it was just one bad experience, think she needs to realize in a down economy, each time you have a customer, it might be the LAST time you have a customer. Will go ANYWHERE else next time. terrible, terrible service.

    I really like their pizza. Family favorite. But my kids love the pasta. It is unsung, and excellent. Their offerings other than Pizza is very good. The dishes come fresh from the oven and the kids have to wait a little bit, but they eat it all.

    Stopped in at Latuff's for a lunch with some coworkers. Not a bad interior at all, very welcoming when we got in by the staff at front and our choice on booth or table. Service as a whole was great. Waitress was very attentive and made some awesome recommendations given it being my first time there. I opt for the sampler so I can get a little of everything, which comes with a meatball, sketti, beef ravioli, and rigatoni - all topped with red sauce. And oh yeah, some bread to go around. I also got a slice of lasagna from my coworker who wasn't game to try and tackle a whole piece. And, well, I ain't turning down free food in that regard! Food arrived about 10 minutes or so later. Good amount of sauce to cover everything. The sauce definitely needed some more garlic for my liking, but, that's a personal pref. As a fella who grew up in a predominantly Italian household, I'll tell you its not the best sauce, but, it's not bad. Definitely doesn't short you on Italian seasoning in there. But, a rather basic, and an assuming sauce. Ravioli - meh. Rather flavorless, and had I not known it was beef, wouldn't have guessed it. No flavor to the meat really. Swing and miss! Spaghetti - your basic noodles and aforementioned sauce. Nothing to write home about. Rigatoni - read above one line. The meatball... now any saving grace for an Italian dish can be the meatball. And that's only if the sauce has gone awry... which, well, yeah. The meatball had some solid flavor, but, was almost cold in the middle. First bite was great, nice hot outer surface with good flavor (not spicy, but, more of a salty kind of meatball). Next bite, half cold and half warm. You may ask, why not send it back? Well, I'm on a tight schedule and I don't want my meatball to get nuked and be bone dry when I get it back. So - I drop a "fuck it" and eat the rest of that bitch. Lasagna had some good flavor going on and was really cheesy, not too bad, but, not enough layers for my Italian blood to be truly happy with it. The garlic bread wasn't bad at all. Step above the high end freezer brand at the store. Meh, I've had better, and meh I've had worse... we'll go with 2/5 overall to attach a number to it.

    We ordered the Peppadew Pizza from Latuff's for pick-up. The pizza had good flavor and the crust was excellent, however there weren't very many peppers throughout the pizza and the "sauce" they used was the consistency of veggie dip. The service was terrible. We were told that it would take 20-25 minutes for the pizza to be ready. My wife got there to pick up the pizza 30 minutes after calling and had to wait an additional 15 minutes once she got there. She said that several of the staff were standing around and then vanished right before two parties arrived and were waiting to be seated. This problem with service isn't new as my family and I visited the restaurant a couple of years ago and waited 45 minutes after being seated on the patio and still we hadn't been given water. Altogether, the pizza may be excellent, as are the fried pickles, but they don't make up for the lack of service and the prices.

    If you are looking for the best traditional thin crust pizza in Minnesota, Latuffs is the place to go. Everything fresh and hot and you will get the same kick butt pizza every time you go there. Fantastic sausage recipe and a sauce with a unique taste that will keep you coming back. Crust is always cooked to perfection and service is always friendly and prompt. Be prepared for a little bit of a wait during busy times but waitresses are always hustling. Great addition of a complete bar at the new location, always clean neat. I have been eating at Latuffs since 1978 (the original place across the highway) and have some of my best memories there - Anybody remember the old projector with Mighty Mouse??? The Latuff family members are always fantastic hosts, most times we visit they will come sit at the table. Kudos to Mike, Barb, Michelle, Brent and Danny for keeping an american tradition alive. Mike has always had the balls to stick to his morals by never bowing to competition, never adding delivery and never being open on Sunday!!!! Dont skip the opportunity to enjoy this classic american traditional restaurant!

    Worst pizza ever! Not to mention worst service I have ever had!!! That was last night pizza was soggy sauce was gross toppings fell off right away and waitress never checked on is I would have sent it back!!! We needed to leave to catch a movie but couldn't find our waitress so we went up front to pay and they said they need a key so we had to ware for her to come back and then I told her how god awful the pizza was and she says oh sorry about that! What???? You should have taken it off my bill you idiot !!! Boy I will never go back!!!!

    Lasagna was ok. Have never had cheddar cheese on lasagna. Not many layers either. The spaghetti was so so. Ordered cheese ravioli and got beef. Had their pizza a long time ago and it was pretty good though. Probably wouldn't go back except for pizza........maybe

    Latuff's isn't fancy - it's kind of an old-fashioned place with lots of green and dark wood decor. But the pizza is pretty good. It's Chicago-style thin crust with the pizza cut into squares and a really nice crispy thin crackery crust. The toppings are good, though we've started avoiding the mushrooms, which are clearly from a can. One of the things I like a lot is that there are lots of choices for people who don't feel like ordering pizza. There are lots of sandwich options and a good robust list of Italian classics. On this last trip I got the fettucine alfredo with broccoli, which hit such a big craving home run it was ridiculous. Both times we've gone we've had the same waitress, who has been very good. One thing that I would say on the negative side, though, is that both times we've eaten here, it has taken a long time to be acknowledged and seated. If you're going to cheap out and not have an actual hostess, you need to have your employees do a better job of watching the door for new patrons.

    One of the few really delicious pizza joints on the west side of the twin cities area. Family owned and operated, with their own sauce recipe and along with Savoys, the best Italian sausage I've ever had. The new and relocated building is very nice with a full bar and wine menu to go along with a relaxing atmosphere and the aroma of authentic Italian cooking. I've tried Italian from New Hampshire, to California, to Texas , to Georgia and everywhere in between. Latuffs remains my "go to" based on quality, taste, and atmosphere. One of the top 5 in Minnesota.

    Kind of an acquired taste. Standard pizza is thin crust (cracker-like) cut into diamonds. Very greasy. I'm a deep dish guy myself, but Latuff's is okay in my book.

    Latuff's is a favorite dinner stop for my family. The food is absolutely wonderful and their thin crust pizza tastes the way it is supposed to be! Yummmm! Order ahead or take advantage of their new location, which makes dining in a very nice experience. I highly recommend this fine establishment.

    Nothing fancy, but this place is good. The pizza is some of the best (thin crust) I've found in Minneapolis although recently the crust has been a bit chewier than it used to be. While the new location (across the road from where they used to be) is definitely nicer inside, I miss something about the previous spot. The baked rigatoni is a favorite. I also like the creamy italian house salad dressing (even with the iceberg lettuce). The staff is friendly and helpful.

    We decided to try Latuff's last night since we've heard it's a Plymouth institution. It was hoppin' at 5:45pm! Thankfully, we didn't have to wait very long for a table, but we were right by the waiting area so it was pretty trafficky. Someone told us the garlic bread was tasty, so we got it as an appetizer along with a large sausage pizza. Well, the garlic bread is on par with anything you'd pull from the freezer. Nothing to rave about. The pizza is solid for thin crust. We were impressed with the quality of the cheese & the sausage, but thought Broadway pizza was a little bit tastier? I'm sure part of it was that we had to wait for a while for the pizza to arrive. With a 4-month old & a 28 month old, that gets to be a little bit tricky. I will say that the servers LOVE kids though. They kept stopping by to gawk at our baby. So our search for the best pizza in Plymouth continues...

    A group of 15 of us dined here, we made a reservation a week ahead of time so the restaurant would be prepared for a group. The food was okay, the service was poor. We requested separate checks, normally servers have immediately offered this. The server continued to let us know how hard this would be throughout the evening, even said we needed to get our food order in right away so she would have time to do so (it was 6:45 PM, they are open until 11 and we did want to wait for 2 people who had not yet arrived). We wanted to have drinks and cocktails and visit intially but allowed her to pressure us into rushing in our orders. Everything the waitress said made us feel like a big bother to her, even though our total was between $500 & $600 and there were not many other occupied tables. While it may have been a little extra work to prepare separate checks, she was also going to earn a tip of $100/120 so I would think it would have been worth it.

    Close to work, ample seating for busy lunch hour...yay! If you're looking for a carb induced coma this is a great place to lunch. Menu has a variety of pizza and pasta items - also includes burgers and sandwiches but my motto is when at an italian restaurant eat italian or you will be disappointed. Started with a salad - your basic pizzaria salad but it came with a side of packaged crackers - weird! I ate them though. Our entire table had the baked rigatoni based of recommendation from another at our table. It was good - lots of sauce, noodles done just right and plenty of cheese melted on top. Waitresses are mucho friendly - genuinely cared about what we thought of the food and their new space (they moved into a newer, bigger building across the street). Will be back.

    Pizza and other Italian food are generally good, but not great. Pricing is somewhat expensive relative to local competition, and service is polite but sometimes inattentive and slow. Kid-friendly, and generally clean, decor is average and includes outdoor seating during appropriate weather.

    Overrated and the food isn't that good. Pizza is typical MN pizza (if we put enough cheese and toppings on, people won't know the underlying crust and sauce are awful). Avoid the wings and meatballs.

    Good neighborhood pizza with a full bar. Crust was a little hard. Bloody Mary was okay. I was expecting this to be a hidden gem based on reviews, but it was only okay.

    This restaurant recently moved from its "hole in the wall" location to a new location just down the road.The new restaurant is really nice. The pizza is sooo good.The crust is the best! I've also tried the chicken parm and ordered the ravioli and spaghetti for the kids but wasn't as impressed. Also, Id get the pizza for carry out as we went there on a weekend and while we did get a table almost right away, the waitress was not very attentive and we did alot of waiting for her.

    The pizza is BOMB. Great crust, crispy yet chewy. They moved into a new building across the street, and the locals jam into this place. They have loyal customers, and great service. I know I'll be back!!

    Cold day brrr...but somehow I want to go someplace and have dinner. My taste bud called for something different. My husband said okay. So he suggest us to go to Latuff's. He went there long long time ago. I haven't gone there before. The restaurant was pretty busy. Mostly I guess were regular patrons. At the special room, we knew there was a birthday party, very noisy and our waiter apologize for it. She was attentive. We ordered spaghetti marcus, it was spaghetti with butter mushroom and italian spices, no sauce, with garlic bread on the separate basket. My husband like it. For me kinda bland. I ordered latuff's special, it was like super supreme pizza.The food came in the reasonable time in right temperature. Delicious but not really made me awe which I hope I can give them 5 stars. I hope family owned restaurants like this can survive many generations because of the quality of the food they serve and their service.

    The new Latuff's space is a major upgrade from the original location. Same great food - love the pizza! - with a full bar and outdoor patio seating area. The menu appears to have more items and we loved seeing some of the former wait staff from the old location. We ordered our standard Latuff's Special and were thrilled it was still our favorite pizza. Great to have an option that's not a chain restaurant!

    The western suburbs doesn't have better pizza in my opinion. Latuff's is the prototypical neighborhood hole-in-the-wall pizza joint and I honestly prefer getting the pizza to go. But a good garbage pizza or for the adventurous, a canadian bacon and sauerkraut pizza is fantastic. Great cheese bread for a starter too.
