Spring rolls 6/10. Cream cheese wonton 5/10. Egg roll 6/10. Cashew chicken 7/10 (hot means mild to medium here). Pho 4/10. Broth tasted like water. Limp brown spotted thai basil. Not good. Nothing really that memorable or above average Interior is nice. Not bad but far from somewhere I would go back to.

I remember when this space used to be your average Chinese buffet...with aisles of steam tables with hours old food. It's now become a hidden gem of great Thai cuisine in the west metro. I recently dined here with a small group on a weekday night. It was pretty quite, with only a half dozen tables being occupied. Don't let that fool you... There are plenty of Thai places in the Twin Cities, some with fancy dishes, some with simply dishes. This place is simple that delivers some fancy dishes :-) We started with a few appetizers, specially a mixed platter of chicken egg rolls, chicken satay and cheese wontons. Nothing super duper fancy, your typical run at these Chinese restaurant usuals (the satay was decent!). I landed on the Panang Kai, which encompasses chicken simmered in coconut milk, panang curry paste, slices of chili and Kafir leaves. It has a crazy good flavor and thicker sauce than a red curry. It's less sour and more of a nutmeg/peanut flavor; which is what I prefer. Large sliced chicken in a flavor curry sauce, over fluffy jasmine rice. You can't go wrong! Huge fan of their panang curry dish, I'll try other apps next time I'm here!

Omg just left this place. What an ordeal. I ask my phone for the nearest Thai resturant and it guided me to here. It had four and a half stars on Yahoo. So I thought that was a good sign. I get in and get seated look over the menu and decided on the Friday lunch special with egg rolls and cream puffs. Waiter comes up to me to take my order and get interrupted by kitchen staff as to where the food goes to that he has. After a few moments of confusion he turns to me and says "yeah I'm the only server today" for one I hate excuses. So that started the expierence off. I'll make the rest short. They didn't know where any of the meals where going when they came out of the kitchen. People sitting with their bills Egg roll 6 out of 10. Cream cheese puffs 5/10. The dish I got 1 out of 10. It was slightly brownish mush served over a plate of noodle. It had no taste to it all I could taste was the green onion and cilantro on top. That's it. This place SUCKS!

This is, no doubt, the worst Thai food I have ever had. Good thing it's inexpensive. I'm pretty sure they had their ingredients shipped from California via an extremely slow train that took a detour through Alaska and got freezer burnt. There was no flavor in the meat. The vegetables are bleh (which is sad because California produces great vegetables). And it was drenched in overly sweet sauce. On the plus side, the server was quite a polite person. Made me not want to send it back.

I have nightmares that this place will close down. Why? Because I love getting take out from Ketsana's. My usual order consists of egg rolls (comes with 3 pcs), pad Thai and fried rice. Best in town. Usually takes about 15-25 mins and we always get take out. The place doesn't have much ambience.

  • Lewann B.

Ketsana's is great! My husband and I used to live across the street and would order take out a couple times a month from them. I almost always got the Pad Ped (Coconut milk and red curry paste on top of cooked broccoli, Napa, carrot, celery and bell pepper), with the request to make it a little spicier. YUM. Their veggie egg rolls are always delicious, too - crispy, packed with all kinds of vegetables and never greasy. Since moving to Woodbury, we have yet to find somewhere (outside of venturing into the cities) that compares to the quality and flavor, and sometimes even consider driving all the way to the other side of the cities for Ketsana's! If you live in the Western Suburbs, make sure you give this place a try!

  • Elizabeth B.

So delicious! The dishes tasted very fresh and flavorful. We ordered spring rolls, a mild curry, and a mild stir fry and all three were very, very good and very filling... there was plenty to take home. This was the best Thai food I've ever tried. I cannot wait to check out their lunch specials as I luckily work nearby.

  • Brad S.

Love Ketsana's. Was a regular at it's previous location and so pleasantly surprised when it re-opened in Plymouth. Fresh spring rolls are outstanding. Staff knows their stuff there. Quantities of food are very large and spice level is real Thai, not "Minnesota-nice". Fantastic.

  • Mark R.

I am not from the area but here for work, and ran across this place in the shopping center. The food here is quite good. I will be in the area regularly and this will be a regular stop.

    (3)
  • Thomas K.

I love this place! I have never been dissapointed with my food here ever! I have had some things that I might not have again, but there are many that I would and do have again! We eat here at least 3-4 times a month. Dine in, Take out, delivery. Try the Pad Pak, Spicy Cashew, or the Pad Thai. The spring rolls are a must have! I always leave full!

    (5)
  • Jackie L.

Oh my. I am not surprised this place is run by the same family that owns Ruam Mit-- Plymouth is now the home of the best Thai restaurant in the Twin Cities. Best egg rolls, stir fry and Pad Thai I've ever had. The heat level is Thai, not Minnesotan, so careful if you order anything hot! The service is knowledgable and friendly. This place is absolutely worth the drive no matter where you are in the Cities.

  • Thomas J.

I was disappointed in my search for the great Thai restaurant in the Western suburbs. I ordered the spring rolls and found them fresh and tasty but the main course, spicy chicken and cashews, was most onion. I ate it all but left not wishing to return for a long time. Perhaps what took away at least one star from my review, however, was an absolutely filthy bathroom. A restaurant with a bathroom this dirty always leaves me wanting to see the kitchen. Maybe trivial but a "tell." Service was great and enthusiastic.

  • Michael M.

Awesome Thai food to find in Plymouth, MN. Everything is always fresh and they grow many of their own herbs. They'll keep food mild, or rock you off your chair....your choice. Try the spring rolls with the peanut sauce, it's great.

    (5)
  • Niki A.

Good food, great service-- make sure you ask about the spiciness level! My Aunt from Minnesota got it without extra spice, my Mom had hers mild, and I had mine medium, all were great for each of us and our spiciness preferences.

    (4)
  • Ryan H.

Soooo glad these guys moved into my neighborhood. Fresh rolls, Tom Yum soup, curries, it's all good here. If you order it hot like I do be prepared- you will feel it.

    (5)
  • Dan S.

We love Ketsana! Great for take out! As good or better than any other Thai food in the area.

    (5)
  • Raedean F.

Tasty food and close to work. Good prices for good food.

    (4)
  • Best Thai in Minneapolis and definitely in Plymouth. Lots of fresh veggies and when you ask for hot, that is exactly what you get. Love the vegetarian pad ped (no. 29). Their chili basil dish is also very tasty. They also do good pad thai and basil noodles. Their curry was a bit bland though. Prices are pretty reasonable.

  • Andrew A.

I've been here several times, the food is really good for the area, service is a bit on the slow side but friendly and helpful. This is still my go-to for some good Thai takeout.

    (3)
  • Stella A.

Great food! Very fresh. Perfect amount of spice. Reasonable prices. Try the Thai tea!

  • Derek C.

    Our favorite local Thai.

  • Susan S.

Excellent Thai food. I've eaten here several time with friends and I make sure to stop by for a meal every time I return to Minneapolis. I'm a wimp and always order the mild food, and I'm never disappointed. It is tasty without being overwhelming.

  • Theresa T.

Awful! We should've been turned off by the lack of people there on a Friday night during the prime dinner rush but had just moved to the area and wanted to check it out. It's dark, dingy and we seated ourselves. Took the teenage server 20 min to even acknowledge us. He would even turn his ahead away when we tried to flag him down. I was on the brink of just leaving when he finally came over. No greeting or apology for the unnecessary delay (there were 2 other tables there). He simply walked over and asked if we were ready to order. We ordered the egg rolls, pineapple fried rice and one of the curries. The food was bland, cold and lacked any kind of finesse. The server didn't come back to check on us and we were severely disappointed. Won't be going back and wouldn't be surprised in the least to see this place close down.

  • Elizabeth M.

I was out and wanted something fresh for lunch and I spotted this place. I ordered spring rolls to go. Spring rolls were wonderful. Only 3 stars because the place needs a good cleaning.

  • Brad C.

My second time at Ketsana and I continue to be pleased with the flavors and selection of dishes they offer. The wait staff is very knowledgeable about the menu and cooking style which makes selection easier. Each dish can be prepared to you're liking on level of heat which I find very nice with myself liking hot and my wife liking things milder. Check it out

No thanks. Overly sweet. And slow service. We came here for lunch on a weekday. There were three other tables occupied and it was around noon. There was no host when I walked in, and waiting a few minutes before anyone acknowledged I was there to seat me. Put in an order for pad thai and a curry, as well as an appetizer and two smoothie drinks. The appetizer came in ten minutes. Then the drinks shortly. And ten more minutes after that, the lunch order came. The server didn't refill our water, not checked up on us. It took forever to get our check. And when we did, we had to hunt the lady down to take our credit card and process the payment! Even though she walked past our table five times, Annoying! Geez... I even stated prior to ordering that my lunch break is short and would need quick service... Lunch on a work day is limited on time and they did not even care. As for the food! Ugh! I would not come back. It was overly sweet. Don't get me wrong, I love sugar, it felt like they accidentally dropped a bag of sugar into my meal. Oh, no... Both our meals tasted the same, so it probably wasn't a mistake. Sigh. I had high hopes for this place but this was not thai food. It wasn't even spicy. The noodles not your typical pad thai style and the color was a drab brown. The curry looked as bad as it tasted. Unless you enjoy eating a sugary meal, I would pass on the Thai food here. The appetizer and drinks were ok, though. And the location was convenient with ample parking.

While looking for a sandwich I found this fine Tai restaurant in a Plymouth shopping center. This is a true find for Fan's of Thai. the spring rolls were among the beat I've had and he Pho tasty and large.

Take out or dine it, great food for the value! Our family favorite if you want some ethnic Thai food

  • Jamison M.

Thought I'd give this place a try since I love Thai food and this one is so close to my parents' home. Honestly, this was the worst Thai restaurant I've ever patronized. The food was served lukewarm. The service was extremely slow. Not very friendly. Not very accommodating at all. It felt like they had the air conditioning on and it was pretty cold outside already. The one positive thing was that I like the spice level. It definitely got my nose running. Unfortunately, I won't be going back.

  • Ashley K.

I lived in Thailand and this is the best Thai food I've had since returning. The pad Thai is good but not what you would expect when ordering pad Thai so I would recommend trying something else. Curries are great as well!

    (5)
  • Kuaj K.

Went there with family. Good food, good service. Bit busy and slightly less cooked rice. Good food for it's price. I will go there again.

    (3)
  • KK B.

My son and I are looking for the best green curry in the Twin Cities, sadly this isn't it. My son barely touched the sauce and said the rice was undercooked. I had the Pad Thai which was bland. Also they served it with lemon instead of lime? That's new to me. Cream Cheese puffs were good. Service was good. But probably wouldn't go again.

    (2)
  • Sunita B.

Worst Thai food I had ever. I ordered Red Thai curry and the curry had huge prices of chicken and huge pieces of red and green bell peppers that's it. It was so bad. I wasted my money and never going back

    (1)
  • Max F.

We came in here late on a weekday night and it wasn't too busy. We were seated quickly and the server was very nice and attentive. She was the only server catering to 7 tables but she was still very quick and caring. We started with the pork egg rolls which were tasty, with a little too much grease but the peanut sauce that came with them was really good. I absolutely love the pad thai they serve here. It's really flavorful and it's cooked just right. Another person in my group ordered a shrimp vegetable rice dish that tasted fresh and the shrimp were cooked perfectly. The appetizers and the entrees arrived very quickly and the prices are right for the dishes. Lovee this place!!!

  • Tanya D.

My favorite Thai place around! I would highly recommend: 1. Spring Rolls 2. Pad Thai with Tofu or Chicken 3. Spicy Cashew Chicken

    (5)
  • K P.

Lunch time, 2 other tables besides ours. Ordered hot tea - came out cold. Server's response: "Well.. I'd bring you more but it's all going to be that temperature because it's in the same container." Stared at our lunches for almost 5 minutes before any sort of eating utensil arrived, then dipping sauces were never delivered at all. Come on, people.

    (2)
  • Greg R.

We gave it another try but during dinner hours. The restaurant was not as busy so the service was much better. The food was excellent. The Pineapple fried rice is a must have. We will be back but not for lunch....

  • Jessica V.

I went here one time with my husband for lunch. The place was really clean. When we stopped in, it wasn't busy at all, and our service was quick and friendly. I had the Roast Duck Curry. I enjoyed it. In fact, I find myself craving it, even though I've only had it the one time. My husband had the Yellow Curry Dish with chicken. He liked it, said it had good flavor although the sauce was a bit runny. Prices were a little on the high end for the portions and compared to most Thai places we frequent. Overall, pretty good though. We'll be back when we're in the area.

    (4)
  • Tino K.

I almost hate to say it but... Meh. I've ordered take-out from here several times (as it's close to work) and I've been underwhelmed each and every time. The wonton soup is boring and flavorless. The egg rolls and cream cheese puffs are mediocre, at best. I've tried a few of the noodle and rice entrees and they are bland, bland, bland. They never include enough meat (or seafood) in their dishes, and it's always tough. The prices are fairly cheap and you get a lot of food, but the quality just isn't there. Head into the city if you want good Thai (Minneapolis or St. Paul) because the 'burbs haven't quite nailed it yet.

    (2)
  • Richard W.

I am here on business from Los Angeles where we have many excellent Thai cuisine in Little Bangkok and Little Saigon. This place is almost an equal. I was served my Singha and Spring Rolls ASAP. I then had Pad Woon Sen with Tofu and baby corn. Superb! I will include this Thai Dining experience every time in this area.

  • Katie M.

I ordered the goong hom pha and the shrimp weren't peeled inside the batter? I had to break them open to take off the rest of the shell and legs. Weird.

    (2)
  • Takashi S.

I ordered 2 different curries (green spinach and chicken). Both are too sweet.. Never tasted curry with so much sugar.... sorry just not for my taste.

    (2)
  • Jacob A.

I had the chicken curry. It didn't taste bad, but it was too sweet for my tastes. The chunks of chicken were really big. Service was mediocre. Will probably not return.

    (3)
  • Raja K.

Me and my friends tried different types of chicken fried rice in the menu. Taste is really good. We enjoyed it. Cashew chicken curry is not that great as we expected a lot. On that day, the service is just okay because there seems to be only one person serving for all the customers. Quantity of food is also good enough.

  • Will F.

This is a nice local Thai place that does a good job with the food. Always get takeout and the dinning room is always empty so not sure how they stay in business.

    (4)
  • Heather C.

Delicious Thai cuisine (and I've been to Thailand). Service/staff are average to above average. Love it for take-out. The parking lot can be quite busy.

  • Moha Z.

First time to this Restaurant around 6PM. Horrible service. There were 3 waitresses there, I waited long time and no one came to me. There were only 3 or 4 tables of customers at that time. I left and will not go to Ketsana's Thai Restaurant again

    (1)
  • Pat S.

My husband and I eat here fairly often, and we both love it. The spring rolls are simply amazing, and I love the Pad Thai with tofu. We've tried a few of the curry dishes and they were also delicious. We have not noticed any problems with service, in fact the waiters/waitresses have been very pleasant and attentive.

    (5)
  • Nicole M.

The food is fantastic but the service is awful. It took 30 min to get my spring rolls and 45 mins to get my soup. By the time my soup was served I wasn't even hungry anymore. Definitely only getting take out from now on!

    (2)
  • Chuck C.

Amazing shrimp pad Thai. Spring rolls are good to. I have had over 25 different dishes and most are good.

    (5)
  • Rebecca S.

Can I give negative stars? Can't comment on the food because it never arrived. We waited for ONE HOUR and the food never came. We had to wait 20 minutes for a glass of water. They were busy, but not full. There were empty tables in the restaurant! Select tables getting food and some weren't. I've never ever had such poor service.

Ok, so everyone seems to have an Asian place in SW mpls or Richfield that is meh to OK but they've gone there forever, and they have a sentimental soft spot for it. That place for us was Ketsana's back when it was in Richfield - a good but not earth shattering Thai takeout from the nicest people ever, for not much money. I say this in the interest of disclosing that this is probably a sentimentally slanted review - slightly. Well helllooooo Ketsana's redux, and goodbye any hint of "meh." How glad I am to drive RIGHT past every Thai option in Uptown, how glad I am to reject King and I, how happy I am to even bypass the overhyped Krung Thep and land on your doorstep. The prices are a little higher than they were but still cheap for what you get, the decor downright nice, and the food is MUCH better - it's polished. It's tailored a little for Plymouth, without being dumbed down. It's probably my favorite Pad Thai in town- a dish that suffers from terminal boredom even at grunge superstar Bangkok Deli. This Pad Thai is nice, not too sweet, the noodles have snap and seared flavor, and even a little - shrimp paste? Not too much to scare the suburbans, just enough to make you feel you have found something majorly special in an unexpected place. Order your food Thai hot if you can handle a moderate amount of heat. You'll get nice fire, without being overwhelmed. If you're on the MN scale, the regular mild/med/hot ratings are gauged for you. I had mee kati, a Lao dish of ginormous coconut lime and chili proportion. I don't know Lao cuisine well enough to give any objective data, but subjectively NOM NOM NOM. EXTREMELY friendly service, warm family-run place, with excellent hot tea. Worth checking out, for anyone tired of terminally dumbed-down Thai and not quite up for the rustic adventure of Bangkok Deli.

The worst Thai restaurant I ever tried in the Twin City area. The service was pretty bad. The food tasted awful. Will not recommend to any of my Thai friends coz they will be disappointed

    (1)
  • David J.

Absolutely my favorite Thai restaurant! I have had almost everything on the menu and have never been let down. Great portion size. A few of my favorites are pad see ew, spicy cashew curry, thai fried rice, and cream cheese wontons.

    (5)
  • Bradley B.

I really like this place. The Pad Thai is the best I have ever had. The peanut curry sauce on the Pad Pha Ram Long Song is great. Not much atmosphere and the chucks of meat in the dishes are too big which makes them awkward to eat.

    (4)
  • Panaka H.

I came there around 3:30pm for some dinner and there was no hostess to be seen. No one was there to greet us. The business was open because they had music playing. I stood around for 5 mins and left. No wonder the lady before me left looking disappointed.

    (1)
  • Bill H.

Really good, fresh Thai food. The service can be hit or miss, especially if it's busy, however the consistently great food is always worth it. This is one of the few bright spots in Plymouth eateries. My wife and I have had 90% of the menu, all of it fantastic. Almost everything else in the area is fast food, bar food, or a mall/chain type of place. Ketsana's always provides lots of flavor- thinking about it is making me hungry.

    (4)
  • Ryan R.

Food was great, had green chicken curry and some egg drop soup. Curry was spicy as I ordered it and the soup was not as thick as most but very good none the less. Only downside was that the water tasted disgusting, everyone at my table agreed.
