Totally love this place! Our favorite go-to place in the F/M area for ice cream (better than the bigger named chain ones). They have real food here too (burgers, hot dogs, fries, and the like) but honestly, we've never made it past the ice cream treats! :-) Cones and sundaes are always a good choice. They also have specialty sundaes like the apple caramel, Boston cream, tin roof, or my favorite -- the brownie fudge! Dipped cones and crunch coating are also a can't miss! Check it out and taste the difference!

I asked what it was when we drove by a few times, and Ashley explained "it's a lot like Cup and Cone in WBL." Well shiver me timbers, we gotta investigate this further! So we stroll over Saturday night for a few treats. Small little parking lot if you plan on driving there, they do take cards too, so that's a huge plus for a small little operation like this. I opted for a banana split, Ashley went with a blue raspberry creation that was a malt with a scoop of ice cream blended together. Our friend decided to go with the Boston Cream malt with chocolate on top. Staff was great in waiting for us while we made up our minds, then whipped the creations out quickly. Everything tasted great, and was like you'd expect. The only reason this isn't a 5 star is because my banana split was almost all liquid and very little actual ice cream. I'm not gonna say how long it was in my hand while it was consumed, but, it definitely wasn't in my paws for more than 5 minutes (no joking or exaggeration either), yet it was as soupy as could be. Was it made before and sat around? No idea. Still tasted great, but, had to deal with that small issue. Next time we hit up Moorhead, I'll swing by and give them another shot to get that 5th star.

This stand-alone ice cream/fast food joint was exactly what I needed, nothing more nothing less. It was 95 degrees out today and the ice cream was super reasonably priced! The freezes were a generous amount of ice cream. I loved my strawberry cheesecake flavor. There are two picnic benches that you can sit at or you can take it on your merry way.

I love the variety of sizes. I got the one that's actually tiny. Small is small, so there's truth in advertising. But I love the swirl, and it's so much better than DQ. It certainly warrants a 5 when you have to come from the Twin Cities to get it, and I don't mean Fargo/Moorhead. It has a way of hitting the spot. I've never had a bad cone here. Meaning I'm tasting the chocolate, and not the cleaner. I may get a twist next time.

Memories....ahh memories... This place is a wonderful little ice cream place - the kind where you park and walk up to a window to order. They have GREAT prices and specials all the time. I don't know why anyone would go to boring old Dairy Queen down the street when this place is just a few blocks away.

We recently visited Tastee Freez while passing through Moorehead, MN, in search of some tasty ice cream. I have to say, the place did not disappoint. We ordered large soft serve cone twists, which were delicious. The price was decent, and the service was friendly.
