Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

Whether large, medium or small, a pizza can boost your cholesterol levels instantly. You shouldn't eat more than one slice of any pizza your order at Pizza Hut. Our absolute favorite pizza in Fargo-Moorhead. Consistently delicious! We moved away for a few years and were happy to return and find our favorite pizza place still doing well.

I don't normally order from Pizza Patrol and I've never had a problem with the food it's always with the service. One time I ordered a regular crust breakfast pizza and they brought me a pepperoni with green peppers. They argued with me when I told them they got it wrong. Finally they said they would send one out. An hour and half later, still no pizza. I called the store they said they were almost there. The delivery guy was there within five minutes. Funny thing is, they were so dysfunctional that night fifteen minutes I received my pizza another delivery driver brought me another pizza. Most recently I ordered from them and was even more disappointed this time. I received the incorrect order so I called the store and they said they would send something out. An hour and a half later still nothing so I called again. Manager said they were on their way. I called a half hour later and someone else picked up and it turned out no one had been sent to my house. So I asked the manager to just refund the amount for what they forgot and she agreed. I called the next day to make sure they were refunding me and no one had any knowledge and a TON of complaints came in that weekend.

I can't help but to grab a large pepperonia and an order of chicken bites with blue cheese every time I'm in town. The sauce is delicious and the crust is soft and thick with a crispy, greasy edge. The cheese portion is almost too much while the pepperoni always has the right amount of crisp. The chicken bites aren't too shabby with a generous portion of whole-meat chicken inside a crispy breading. The blue cheese is typical dressing style, but I love me some blue cheese. Carry out special is a great deal. I'd hesitate to buy it at full price, but the fact that they're open so late might negate that when the timing is right.

Pizza was pretty good, but not great. We had a half pepperoni and half cheese pan pizza and a supreme pan pizza. Both were just ok. I'm only visiting Fargo so I will try another pizza place next time I'm in Fargo instead of this place again.

AWESOME Pizza. AWE-SOME. The french bread crust is something to behold. The sauce is just the right amount of spice. The cheese is fresh and prime. They've always got decent specials. The kind of pizza I could eat all day, every day.

best pizza so far in fargo/moorhead.

  • Chris D.

I love this place. I always get the carryout special: large one topping for $11 (half pepperoni half Italian sausage on the home-style crust). The home-style crust is perfect when you don't feel like having the thick French crust. 241-9000, best ad campaign ever!

oh my YUM! When traveling and checking into hotels late, pizza delivery from a place I've never heard of before is daring and often times for me, disappointing. Not this time! Absolutely the best "road" pizza I've sunk my sometimes picky teeth into. We ordered a cheese for the kids, and green olive, black olive and pineapple for adults. The two slices of cheese that were left were quietly snuck for breakfast by the kiddos. I hear they deliver 24 hours, which is extra awesome.

241-9000! Memorized, I will NEVER forget this number... I love pizza patrol so much I have tried to order it from other states, heck - other countries (sadly, they do not deliver to Colorado...or Europe) The Best cheese-less (with canadian bacon) pizza I have ever eaten - no question! Pizza Patrol catches a lot of flack for being greasy, but I think the absence of cheese remedies that. The sauce is amazing, the way they bake it (no clue what is so different about it, but it makes all the difference!!!) The "carry-out special" is a large 1 topping for $7....SWEET! It never takes more than 15-30 minutes to get your pizza (at least on the Moorhead side) and they are open until 3 AM (perfect for after bar meals!). My friends around the globe are so used to me craving pizza patrol and talking about it that even without having had it - they claim it is great, plus they know I have good taste! :) Only pain is they do not take credit cards - check or cash only, but there are several ATM's nearby to remedy that. People say that Happy Joe's (think Taco Pizza) and Duane's (think greasy cracker with molten lava cheese) are contenders for the best pizza - simply put, they're wrong. So pick up the phone....now 241-9000...seriously.

Cheap, wonderful pizza at all kinds of hours. The thick or regular crust (we never did thin crust) was great with pepperoni.. the greasy cheesiness and oily pepperoni was highly satisfying. And they are fast and efficient about it.

This place sucks they are so unhelpful. They I guess , didn't write down are order and for some reason this is our' 're problem. We waited for 2 hours and the manager was unhelpful and tried to blame us. They hung up on us twice and did nothing to make the situation right. I' 've never had such bad customer service.

The breakfast pizza is wonderful, but very expensive. The delivery takes about an hour on the Fargo side, so make sure you order with plenty of time from when you want your food. Their regular pizza isn't my favorite, but will get the job done.

I grew up on this stuff! Every time I come back to the area it is a must do on my list :) Get this pizza if you haven't tried it!

Oh, how I miss this phenomenal pizza from my college days! I only wish they could expand the franchise coast to coast to give all the other guys a serious run for their money.

Whenever I am in Fargo, and I am craving pizza, well I call Pizza Patrol and have one delivered. Love the cheese, awesome crust, and one of the best in the area.

  • Joey H.

As far as delivery pizza goes, this is some of my favorite stuff. As far as service goes, it's some of the worst! They have great crust and they are open late. But if you order late at night, you could be waiting for up to 2 hours (I have). Twice, I picked up my order and when they said it was ready and handed it to me, only half of my order was there. I was charged for everything, so they knew what was ordered. I had to wait the full time for my order to be finished.

  • Amy M.

oh just like I remembered oh how I have missed eating pizza patrol pizza at 2 am so glad I have a place to order at 2 am. The pan crust is done to perffection golden brown with great toppings to follow egg, bacon, sausage, onions, cheese, & green peppers. Such sweetness so glad I moved back oh how I have missed pizza patrol.

  • Fiana Sachi E.

Their menu is small but it makes it easy to choose from. Love the 9 star pizza, its full of flavor, the crust is perfect. It's thick but not doughy, and goes well with the full body flavors of the 9 star. If you want peppers and cheese, make sure to request when ordering, otherwise the delivery guys tend not to have on hand. What makes this place even more fabulous is that they are open until 4 am. In fact the first time I ordered from Pizza Patrol was the night that I drove into Fargo at 1 am.

  • Todd S.

If you like pizza from Dominos, Pizza Hut or any of the national chains this is your kid of pie. Void of taste and flavor. Enjoy!

Pizza patrol is the sole reason that I grew to 6'5" and can kick footballs over buildings. Thanks pizza patrol!

  • Eric B.

I give two stars for good pizza. As for service, i had to talk to four people to tell me my pizzas were not going to be delivered. The only compensation they could give after calling 90 minutes later was putting the orders back on their list. I understand there is mistakes but having 3 undertrained employees and zero offers for compensation of my time is very poor business qualities. Sure ill order a pizza when I want to enjoy some good food but ill expect much less.
