Yes its a restaurant in a Macy's!?? However the BLT burger on pretzel bread is very good as is the pot pie. The wings are also good. But what makes this place is the one thing that has often made or broken many a place is the service. We were particularly happy with Brad ... Whose attentive service was so seamless and cheerful that our experience was totally enhanced. We eat out all over the world and his service was among the best we have ever experienced. Well done! Definitely worth a try!

I saw the restaurant before several months back when stopping at Macy's to pick up skin care products. It looked warm and inviting and I thought to myself that I wanted to try it. I don't go to mall often enough and that next opportunity to try the restaurant just didn't come soon enough. Finally, when my business associate suggested the place for lunch, I went for his selection. The place was perfect for a business lunch. The service was fast. The decor was upper scale, and surprisingly the prices were dirt cheap. I suggested Bacio but it would have costed me over $50 for lunch for two. I must say I was glad that we went here instead. I don't always expense my business lunches that's why. However, at times I just still pay because I think it's the right thing to do. So, yeah.. Prices matter to me. I had the Macy's pot pie. There was no other selection for me after seeing it in the menu. My pot pie is the best hahaha but you can't go wrong with Macy's pot pie. It is actually Mrs. Hering's recipe and should be called the Marshall Field's pot pie! Shout out to my old town Chicago! The flaky crust partnered with the most well made velouté of chicken and vegetables, piping hot under that said crust.. Wow! That's the ultimate comfort food for me. My partner in crime had the mac and cheese. He said it was just okay but he really loved the sesame salad dressing that came with his salad and he couldn't shut up about it. He said he wished he would have gone for the Swedish Meatballs. It did sound good but I refrain from Marcus Samuelsson anything. I put on my psychologist hat that I really didn't have and we had heated discussion about being wishy washy and flexible. Those are two different things. I told him there were decisions that are black and white, and some you can be flexible about and adjust. However wishy washy is flake like the pie crust and/or..,Marcus Samuelsson foods. Yes, I have conviction over the pot pie, it is good and a sure bet. Will I go for the meatballs? Maybe if he orders it first and I take a bite and like it. Then, maybe next time I'd order it even if it has Marcus' name on it. However, debating with refillable popover basket served with honey butter was sorta fun. I actually can't wait to come back. Especially, my check for a very satiated lunch for two at a rather nice place was only $28. Hot damn! I'd say that was incredible. Update: We went back there on Thursday, November 20, and Jeff got the meatballs. So now, the verdict was in - meatball was awesome. I tried a small piece and it was decent even if it had Marcus' name on it. It was a holiday item so it won't be always in the menu.

Beautiful new interior, but not quite as intimate as before. Same menu. I always have the Macaroni and Cheese, which comes with a spinach salad and delicious sesame dressing. The popovers are as good as always. A highlight was having Barb as our waitress; she is friendly and efficient, always refilling coffee and making sure our meals are perfect!

Came here with the family a few weeks ago to take grandma out to dinner. Not a bad place, just, well, it adjoins a mall. Literally one of the entrances is a mall entrance. This is not my kind of place in the least, but it is close to where grandma lives, and darn it if she wants to get out of the house every once and awhile. Our server was awkward, and there is nothing more awkward than an awkward server, someone who is trying SO HARD to do his job competently that it just comes out...awkward. We started out with the complimentary puff pastries. I don't recall what they are actually called, but they are some sort of bread that is so light and flaky it's more a pastry than a bread, really. They were good, but sort of pointless to put butter on. Then we shared some potato wedges (I forget their name for them) with some sort of dippin sauce. These were quite excellent. I had the blah blah burger which apparently was special because it had a ketchup (or catsup?) jam on it, which was the only reason it was special and called the blah blah burger. I'm sorry for being rude, but at this point it's not worth me looking up. It's hard to mess up a burger at a restaurant. Like, really hard. So when I was kind of underwhelmed by this blah blah burger I was kind of disappointed. The bacon on it was burnt to a crisp. I know some people like their bacon blackened, but no one serves it that way on a burger. It's just like ash and soot in your mouth. Others at the table seemed to enjoy their meals (the Swedish meatballs), and my Summit EPA was good. I would have given the place three stars if the guy in the kitchen didn't think it was okay to put charred bacon on a burger.

Lakeshore Grill used to be my favorite and booked yearly Alum gathering there. When they remodeled the restaurant something was removed, the service! They either turned it over to new management or sold it, either way it hurt! Our group ended up getting jerked around for hours on a 2 month old reservation, they were reminded about for two days, so we walked out. I chalked it up to a bad day and have gone three times since. All three times the popovers were obviously burned and dryed out, yet served. The food was luke warm and the salad had little dressing. The worst offence is the Manager, Host and Hostess are extremely rude and could care less. Hope they turn it around because most people give you one shot, you can't ride on name and reputation forever!

No review of the food...because we waited 45 minutes to get in. We were a party of 6 and noted that another party of 6 were seated before we were??? Not sure if reservations were allowed. It's OK because that left me time to scrutinize their kitchen and food prep. areas. Yikes! I can't recommend you get a salad from this place. Rude hostess.

The meatloaf and mashed potatoes was very good and the 2 Gingers Irish coffee sundae was an excellent finish. Also, the service was friendly, attentive and quick.

Great place, newly open, interior comfortable and inviting, including a nice bar area. Menu has some of the traditional Dayton's items and some great other options including wine, beer, cocktails, appetizers, salads, entrees and desserts. Husband and I had dinner and were pleasantly surprised everything was perfectly prepared with fresh ingredients, service and ambience was great, we will be back. Prices were also fair, most items between $8 & $15.

This review is a mixed bag. It started out just fine looking for a restaurant after a wild goose chase and missing the company dinner that I was supposed to go to. Well I was seated in an outdoor space very nice waited on and delivered that dry martini that I asked for. And then nothing. No service! I was abandoned! Well after waiting for about 20 minutes staring at the menu thinking somebody might possibly show up I went back to the hostess and asked to be reseated. After that I was waited on hand and foot; couldn't be left alone for more than five minutes without some attention and that was great. Now the food. That was another story. I ordered walleye and it was over breaded; took a good piece of fish and turned it into something terrible. The garlic mashed potatoes were worthless. The green beans were OK with the diced tomatoes (a nice touch) that added some flavor. As I said, the new waitress couldn't leave me alone had me taken care of left and right and I ended up ordering dessert which was a very nice Sundae and a cup of coffee. Having no more requests, I went ahead and asked for the bill which I received. To my surprise they left the original drink with the original (worthless) wait server on the bill instead of removing it. That's what they should've done; that would've been the right thing. So I got a meal on the road after missing my company event, I got terrible service from waitress number one and excellent service from waitress number two. The store should have removed the original drink and they didn't so my rating is two stars.

Lakeshore Grill is kind of hidden in Ridgedale Macy's. At first glance it looked pretty fancy and we didn't think we would be dressed up enough. The fancy menu and dark hardwood decor was a trick though. Once seated it seems to be more of a family place with lots of kids dining, older wait staff and slightly out dated decor. The menu had multiple specials for dinner, 1/2 off glasses of wine (Friday nights) and soup/quice/entree of the day. I tried the glazed chicken lettuce wraps appetizer. They came out brightly colored and smelled great. I was disappointed that the chicken seemed to look nothing like chicken, so I picked it off and ate it as a salad wrap instead! For the main meal I was doubtful, but went with the quiche of the day-turkey, swiss, onion and broccoli. I was pleasantly surprised at the individual portion and presentation. It was pretty good and even came with a spinach salad with their signature dressing. The best parts: 1. The free and endless popovers for all tables. What a great idea, but it's really hard to stop eating these little guys! 2. The small bite size desserts for $2.95. I had the white chocolate bread pudding, which just happens to be my MOST FAVORITE dessert I have had anywhere in a long time! 3 Our sweet server gave us fresh and hot popovers to go home with our leftovers!!

Friendly staff and great food.. it was a nice place to stop and enjoy something other than hotel food. Reasonable price too.

Oh, Boundary Waters Cafe. What a sick relationship we have. Fabulous comfort food, but consistently poor service + dingy, outdated decor circa 1988. Yet every time I shop at Ridgedale, there I am inhaling two baskets of your popovers...

You have to check out the new Lakeshore Grill. They just opened last night. It's beautiful! The bar is fabulous! The service is great. They have a patio too! New items on the menu- Cheese plate, 5 spice chicken wings, flatbreads and a really good Siracha Chicken Gorgonzola dip! They have Happy Hour every day 3 to close. 4.00 draft beers, 5.00 house wines and 6.00 select appetizers. Love love love it!!

Good food. Small menu. Feels a little crammed at times but we always get a good meal.

What a nice surprise! Ive been shopping at Ridgedale for years but never once stepped in here. I finally decided to go in here for lunch after having done a little shopping. It was just a little bit after noon, so the place was almost full. The service though was very nice. My server and other staffs were very friendly and very attentive. I ordered Coconut Shrimp and Crab and Shrimp Louis. Unlike other restaurants, this place offers a basket of popovers instead of bread to start. Im not sure if ive had popovers before, but they were great! Even though the place was almost full, my food came out pretty fast, granted I only ordered appetizer and salad. The coconut shrimp were probably fried a bit too long because the coconut coating came out a little too dark, but they tasted great. The shrimps were juicy and sweet, and they tasted great with jicama slaw and the pineapple + mango dressing. The crab & shrimp louis came out with a big scoop of lump crab meat and poached shrimp. I expected the imitation crab meat at first, but they served real crab meat here and lots of it. I was really pleasantly surprised. I made a mistake though by ordering Thai Chicken Salad to take home. This salad was served in a wonton cup and I didnt go home right away, so by the time i got home, the wonton cup was all soggy. However, the salad had great flavor and it was full of fresh veggies and white rice. Overall, this really is a nice restaurant. The price is as comparable if not less expensive than Big Bowl or Applebees near by and definitely less expensive and a whole lot better service than Origami.

Good service, good food, but overpriced. I love their popovers with butter. I've had the salmon, burger and a few other things here and it's always been pretty tasty. Nice kids meal options which includes an entree, healthy side, drink and sugar cookie. Typical clientele seem to be older women in their sixties.
