Oh POV's, I have mixed feelings about you. Some of the great things about POV's - big bands at a small venue, huge parking lot, large space, pull-tabs, bingo. Some of the not-so-great things about POV's - terrible service, very dated and kinda icky, far away from Mpls/St. Paul (especially during rush-hour). I have been here many times over the years, and really have pretty much always had mediocre service, but fun times. Their food is just OK, but they have tater tots, so your meal is always saved if you order them (upcharge). They never seem to have enough servers, and the ones they do have are cranky. So, I guess overall, just don't expect much and have fun.

The bartender, Phil, is a thief...glad it's not my usual spot. Seen him rip off people from .50cents to $15. He couldn't handle it in the beginning. Angry, slow, cursing, throwing shit(kinda) just being aggressive. Once we ordered shots and it was one price, within an hour later it was another price, slightly more expensive but exactly the same shot and exactly the same bartender. Won't go again, but if I had to it must be on a slow night that they can deal with. Oh and the girl I was with wanted a lime with the first drink and he didn't provide it, I reminded him and said SOMETHING, gave her a lime and said it was the last, they opened at 7pm and it was 7:50! Way to be prepared! Okay sorry to rant just not impressed at all!

Went there for a concert. Trashy bikers everywhere and the bartender told me I looked a stalker. If only she was that lucky lol. Would highly recommend if you're looking to score bad meth or syphilis.

To begin, the customer service was poor from the beginning. If you're a fan of the really shitty dive bars & the worst country music this might be the place for you. My biggest qualm with this place was their buffalo wings. I am a pretty big buffalo wing enthusiast and in my experience usually the shittiest bars have the best wings. This is NOT the case here. They literally had the worst wings I have ever had in my life & the most expensive. I had to pay extra for ranch. They advertise celery but don't provide it. Also, if you like green olives they taste like makeup.

A friend brought me here to see the Killer Hayseeds recently. Nice clean bar, big parking lot, and really good broasted chicken right at the bar by the piece. The Hayseeds were great as usual. I meant to post a review after we saw them, but did not. So now I'm amiss with the report of long-time bass player/lead singer Ross Florand's last gig and trip to the big msuic club in the sky on July 9. He died way too young. RIP, and a big thanks for the music all these years all over the Midwest and just the other night. This place is definitely old school is the best school Midwestern club. Poker and gaming, a friendly place where a bouncer, like someone in the olden days with whom you might even consider going, invited us to pancakes after last call. All the folks seemed friendly and the bartender was bar none. Thanks to the bouncer and bartender for turning us on to a new cocktail, Scooby Snacks (well it's probably not new but we don't go out much). I must say that it was a great show and lots of dancing going on and it's a place where old married broads can kick up their heels and feel pretty safe. And hear some solid sounds by a longstanding band with soul. And thanks, Ross, for sharing that soul all these years. erstarnews.com/content/v…

Best people watching outside of the State Fair. Last night I went with a friend to check out her co-worker's band play. The band was a perfectly decent cover band but the crowd was incredible. We were the youngest people there by at least a decade. It's spacious inside and there were pool tables and poker tables in the back. It seemed like everyone there was a regular. It made me really uncomfortable that they keep your id along with your credit card when starting a tab. Is that really necessary? It's definitely not somewhere I would frequent on my own but i would go see a band play there again.
