We love this Gelato shop, not only because of the gelato, but because of Bryce. Unfortunately he Is not there any longer ( I think he has a different job now)We visited Paciugo on my birthday, thinking that when we mentioned that it was my birthday, the 2 gals that were working would of at least showed some interest or smiled or something, but they could have cared less. I think the 2 gals that were working there should be working on their customer service skills. Not too impressed. I was so looking forward to having a gelato, even though I was full from lunch., but the way these 2 employees acted we left. We even checked out a frozen yogurt place and the employees that were working at a competitor had more personality. If Bryce was there he would have gladly made my visit to Paciugo a fun experience. It is too bad that these 2 gals didn't have a chance to work with Bryce. Don't get me wrong I gave this gelato shop 5 stars only because of the delicious gelato, definitely not the way we were treated. I really don't think we will be making Paciugo a regular stop when we visit the Mall. Please come back Bryce!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A must stop at the MOA! They have delicious gelato and a friendly, helpful staff. I have never seen such unique flavors: Goldfish cracker, Black Sesame, Chocolate Chipotle Butter Pecan. Ask for a sample, you will be amazed by all of them. They also have your more traditional flavors as well as sorbet. Generous portions too!

Paciugo is good. I got a small and it was like 4 dollars. But it is good. I got 3 flavors. One was Rose, which tasted like a rose, weird, but good. I also got wedding cake, which was good. And pistachio. YUM. They have around 20 flavors and they switch it up every day. So I would recommend this place!

I've traveled to Italy numerous times and have had the real deal when it comes to gelato and I can honestly say that Paciugo is Absolutely the best gelato for miles around! There are many things that make this place one of my favorite in town. First is the friendly service. No matter how long the line is (and trust me it can get long) the staff is more than willing to let you sample each and every one of their 20 some odd flavors with a smile on their faces. Secondly, the flavors are varied, interesting and absolutely delicious. They create their own "messy concoctions" daily and have things like goldfish or black sesame flavored gelato all the over to cookies and milk (their variation on cookies and cream) and my personal favorite Texas sea salt pecan caramel... yeah it's the real deal. They serve a variety of espresso based beverages as well with a machine that was calibrated by an Italian specialist that was flown over for them. They have a rewards card (which is free of course) that adds up in no time to free cups of more delicious gelato. Everything I have tried there has been amazing and I will continue to frequent this place every time I go to the Mall of America. If you have not tried it yet, do yourself a favor and discover this hidden gem!

I stopped by the other day and had one of their ice cream actually I think the proper definition is gelato since it is Italian ice cream and is milk or water based depending on the flavor and not cream based, which of course makes the whole thing much lighter so you don't have to feel quite as guilty (BTW a gelato is apparently a great substitute for a light lunch). I tried some of the flavors and ended up getting bacio and orange-cardamom. I found their bacio really good, their orange cardamom was also good, but a bit too cardamom-y for my taste. Anyway the few traditional flavors they had were good. The more innovative taste were not quite my taste, but I guess that's because I like simple flavors. If they had enough traditional flavors I could bump the the rating up to 5, unfortunately they only have a very limited number of traditional flavor and a lot of experimental one which tend to be too sugary and for me. Anyway, by far the best gelato in the twin cities.

They have lots of delicious flavors to choose from, and you can get up to three flavors in a small cup. The wedding cake flavor is one of the best, and the rose flavor is surprisingly good as well!

My new favorite. This place rocks! I might never eat ice cream again only gelatin. Three flavors in one cup was very nice. My daughter got the pineapple green tea it was really refreshing

Oh, my. This was soooo good. Our whole family got gelato. We sampled different types and I settled on a combo of sea salt caramel, chocolate jalapeno and, wait for it.....Guinness!!! The latter is made from the beer so tastes just like you are drinking it!! Nice indulgence while walking around the MOA.

OHMYGOSH best gelato in MN i've ever had. Not to mention that you can taste an unlimited number of flavors before actually choosing. The only reason I give it 4 stars is that they don't serve as many interesting flavors anymore. I loved their black sesame which doesn't seem to be there anymore and now the flavors are more boring like chocolate chip or m&m... unless that's just my opinion. but still amazing! rarely ever leave MOA without getting paciugo gelato!

If you do not know what Gelato is or have not had good Gelato, go to Mall of America and try their Gelato! It is like nothing I can describe. It is a velvety luscious, delicious experience! Do NOT miss your chance to taste the best Italian Ice Cream you will ever taste. In fact Gelato has less butterfat than regular ice cream. Those Italians, they sure know good food!

If you need a reason to go to the Mall of America, then this could be it. Great tasting and interesting flavors. Thanks to all those relatives who want to see me go off my sugar free diet. :) Good way to cheat.

I don't know if my taste was off but I tried 3 different Gelatos, and two of them seemed like that had an off flavor like it was sitting open in a freezer for a while. The Toasted Coconut was really good.

After I finished eating dinner, I was craving some ice cream and things got better when I ran into this gelato place! I saw that they had "Chocolate Green Tea," which is a flavor I never tried before so I asked for a sample and fell in love! My favorite flavor of gelato is Pistachio so I had their "Pistachio Almond" as well. After trying the flavors I wanted, the guy kept giving me more gelato flavors to try! The others were drool worthy too! The Chocolate Green Tea tasted exactly like the name. Sounds weird? But it worked so well together! Every bite was flavors bursting on my tongue! The Pistachio Almond was crunchy and full of flavors :) Wish they had a location here in California! I doubt I'd be going back to Minnestoa anytime soon, but I am glad I got to try these gelato gems!

Out of all the ice cream places to choose from in the Mall of America, it was a no brainer to try out Paciugo Gelato! There are locations in Chicago that have been on my list to hit, but it's ironic that my first visit to Paciugo occurred out of state. I got a medio cup (~$5) with wedding cake, tiramisu, red velvet, and waffle cone flavors. JSYK, the "wedding cake" could have easily been dubbed light frosting or sugar because it wasn't particularly distinguishable to wedding cake. And wedding cakes can taste like any variety of flavor of cake anyway! The tiramisu had a slight alcohol (not in a good way like rum, but rather in an alcohol flavor note) taste to it. Thanks Paciugo for putting me into a food coma!

Gelato is almost always better than ice cream (in taste and ingredients). This joint is decent. Friendly staff. Multiple choices (including soy and sugar free options). Reasonably priced. Small seating area. The gelato consistency wasn't great which is why I'm giving it three instead of four stars.

I am a huge gelato fan and every time I come to Mall of America I make sure I stop here. I love gelato when it is done right and Paciugo does it right! Give this place a try and don't hesitate to try a bunch of flavors... the employees will most likely want you to do it anyway.

Super nice staff, the guy was really patient with us and offered samples of almost everything. I know I will be back here again!

I wake up in the middle of the night sometimes craving the zuppa inglese, limoncello, and wedding cake flavors. I love that you can try multiple flavors at once, otherwise I'd have never been able to make up my mind. The only thing that I don't like about this place is it's location in MOA. I wish they had a standalone cafe somewhere more convenient.

Stumbled onto this little spot up on the 3rd floor of Mall of America while on a recent shopping excursion with my spouse. Was quite surprised to see what looked and sounded like an authentic gelateria in the middle of suburbia. Pluses: like the authentic places in Italy, you get 3 different flavors in your single serving (which is great since they have about 25 or more varieties). Small - Piccolo was around $3-4 (reasonable) Minus: Not quite as tasty as Italy and lacking a bit in fruit flavors - but they make up for that with a bunch of other choices. Also, can be a bit hard to choose from all the varieties - one of those places where you have to walk up and down looking at the 3 full cases to decide, which can result in a bit of a line.

Love the gelato here! My favorite flavors are wedding cake, milk n cookies and the sorbet flavors. The staff is very friendly as well and will let you try every flavor of gelato!

I typically am not as big of a gelato fan compared to ice cream. But, if there is one place that offers gelato that contends with some of my favorite ice creams, it's Paciugo. Located on the third floor of the MOA, Paciugo's store front is welcoming and the abundance of original flavors is overwhelming. The staff is very willing to give flavor samples so sample away! Paciugo's gelato is A+ creamy, unlike many gelato shops that offer a product that tastes more like watered down ice cream. I especially enjoy ordering affogatos (gelato with espresso poured atop). My favorite flavors are the coconut chocolate chip (best frozen coconut flavored concoction in the TCs), chocolate hazelnut and mint cookies and cream (must have served in affogato!). The only downside: the line can get long on weekends so be ready to wait a bit.

Best gelato in the US! Where else can you get bacon and maple in your gelato? Or lemon custard fig ginger swirl, which is amazing. This is our go to stop in Mall of America, as it was when we lived in the Dallas area.

*runs up to Yelp panting* Oh gah, didja know... *pants* that Paciugo has bacon gelato? It's INSANELY good and there's also maple flavor in there. Mmmmm. You can pick up to three different flavors per cup and they have unusual, amazing choices. Not too shabby! ETA on 1/06/11: After a few more visits to Paciugo, I realized that the wackier flavors are somewhat temporary. Last time I gelato-ed, they had a sweet corn gelato that was both odd and spectacular. No bacon gelato in sight, however.

On a whim.... We were at the MOA looking for something at a specialty shop and just not ready to go home. We had just been talking about gelato earlier in the day. It clicked - they must have a gelato place in this joint right? Lo and behold, it was right around the corner. We got in the rather short line, but with everyone trying this and trying that, it took a while to order. We each got the 3 scoop combo - I got salted caramel, chocolate almond, and chocolate coconut. My dining companion got carrot cake, chocolate almond and coconut. I liked all 3 flavors, but the salted caramel was probably my least favorite. The salt was a little overwhelming. The chocolate almond had a great almond flavor. The chocolate coconut was excellent with actual pieces of coconut folded in the gelato. I only tried his carrot cake, but thought I could eat a whole cone of just that! Overall, I think I might gelato more than ice cream. I'm not a huge ice cream fan and wish there were more gelato places around. The price was right just over $7 for both of us, the the flavors were good and the people working the counter were very helpful and ahead of the game. Next time I'm at the MOA, I will be stopping.

We stopped by Paciugo on the Third floor near by Macys and a great experience. The young employees here are heart warming, inviting and super customer friendly! You can try as many flavors as you like. The gelato was delicious! I would definitely recommend this particular location.

I love love love this place. Price is affordable, flavors creative and portions more than decent. For just over $3 you can get a small cup of gelato filled with up to three flavors. The flavors are fun. On a given day the cafe features 20 of there 40+ flavors. Flavors vary from your basic vanilla, to interesting tiramisu, to a WTF chocolate curry flavor. What's fun is that you can sample as many flavors as you'd like until you find your fit. My recommendations are: coconut, toasted coconut, pistachio, black pepper olive oil, amaretto chocolate chip, pecan praline, hazelnut and yes....even the chocolate curry. Although most flavors are milk based, there are sorbets and soy based options. I love it so much that I tried to convince my work folks to cater our ice cream party through them instead of sebastian joes.... Next time you're in MOA, skip Cold Stone and Haagan Daz and try this place.

It's nice to see some different specialty food outlets in the Mall of America. And when they are outside the food court, I like it even better. Paciugo is a Dallas-based gelato shop that has locations throughout the central United States, according to its website, And now, shoppers from all over can sample their tasty treats. I had two flavors: lemon custard with fig and ginger, and caramel with Mediterranean Sea salt. Both were very good, though I like a bit more intensity in the flavors. They offered another 20 or so flavors in cones or cups. They had two people working and a line was forming even on a pretty slow weekend shopping day. The service was friendly and quick once I actually got my scoop. The place has room for a couple people to sit, but basically you have to grab your gelato to go here. That might be a problem if you have serious shopping to do. But there are some benches near the entrance for Macy's nearby that would be the prefect place to take a break.

They have decent gelato here, not the best I've ever had, but still good. They have a bunch of really different flavor options; i loved the irish coffee flavored gelato.

Love this place. They have no problem letting you sample a ton of flavors before deciding on which to buy. They also have quite a few interesting flavors for you to choose from so there is something for everyone. I also really like how there are some toppings on the gelato so you get a little topping with each order. It's just a great place for some yummy gelato!

You know who loves gelato? ME! Well, now anyway. This was my first experience with gelato, always curious but never indulged, and I have to say: DELICIOUS! Okay, so gelato is rumored to be a less-fat-than-ice-cream frozen splendor so I kind of thought it would be less taste too. It's not, at least not here at Paciugo. They have an abundance of ever-changing flavors and are happy to give you a little sample of them before you commit to a dish. I personally loved the salted caramel, wedding cake and chocolate mint. I tried a handful of other flavors while trying to decide and all were really good. I'll definitely stop back in again.
