We were staying at my sisters house in West Bloomington and Hubs and I wanted some good pizza for dinner. We decided on a chain place in central Bloomington and were on our way there when we drove past Nick & Willy's. Hubs quickly called an audible and suggested we stop here because we'd never tried it before. I agreed because it was closer to the house and it wasn't a chain. We like to give the "little guys" our business whenever possible and usually, the food is better than the chain counterparts. This time, I think we could have done better with the chain. We ordered a Caesar salad and a medium beef pizza. When our salad was served, we were directed to get silverware from the counter next to the fountain soft drink dispenser. There weren't any forks available, so we had to wait a few minutes while they retrieved some for us from the kitchen. The romaine in our salad was fresh and the size of the salad was fine, but it didn't come with croutons and, even worse, it was served with a packet of average commercial dressing on the side. I expected something homemade and original. I'd hoped the pizza would save the meal, but it too was nothing special. Unoriginal. So ordinary. That sums up our experience, from the service to the food. Next time we head out for some local pizza, we will keep driving past Nick & Willy's. it's not worth the shorter trip. And I really wanted it to be a place I could recommend.

It's pizza. Nothing really more and not as bad as Pizza Hut. Prices: typical. Service: about what I expected.

I like to take my kids there. You can take the family out for dinner with a $20 bill. It's good pizza at a good price. Eat-in and the food doesn't take long. The folks are friendly too. Kids like free pop re-fills. Without all the gimmicky games at other pizza places.

So good. Lettuce and tomatoes were both fresh, laid back atmosphere.

Let's go 2.5. Staff was friendly and the place was clean. Salads, pizzas, and wings, all fine, nothing blew me away. If I had to go back I wouldn't put up a fight, but if I was picking, this would not be my first choice.

This was my first time here the staff was great and the pizza ismuch better than Pizza Slut or Dominos. They were not busy at all due to the holiday weekend, I was the only customer. I will go back again.

We ordered small personal pizzas and it took over a half hour. There were 2 other people eating in the place. We asked about gluten free pizza that is advertised on the front door and were told that would take an hour and a half. ??? Tried ordering a pizza with jalapenos..they were out of jalapenos. Pop machine didn't work so we got bottled pop. Pizza was just ok..wouldn't make the trip back.
