We live down the street from Mattie's and have been wanting to try brunch here for a while. We were looking for a place to take our visiting daughter, so we braved the subzero chill and walked down the street. So glad we did!. We've lived in the TC for ten years and hadn't really found a great brunch spot. I didn't have high expectations based on mixed reviews here, but we were very pleasantly surprised. Everything was very tasty and the service was prompt and friendly. It's nice to have live music and the family style/bottomless deal is a great value.. We look forward to returning regularly.

Came here with my guy on Sunday. We sat outside and the setting was lovely. The lettuce wrap appetizer was delish! My turkey bacon wrap came out with no bacon. The waitress brought a side of bacon, but it took probably 10 minutes and the rest of my food got cold in the meantime. We had to ask for ketchup, napkins and water refills several times before the server brought them. Asked for a dessert menu and the server stated that "it didn't get printed," so she listed the dessert options. After about 20 minutes and 3 conversations with the waitress/kitchen staff, it turned out they were out of every dessert on the menu (???). Anyway, we ordered a milkshake for dessert. 10 minutes later, no milkshake in sight. We requested that it be made to go. The server said she'd send the manager over. Manager brought us the milkshake another 10 minutes later (40 minutes after we first asked about dessert...). The manager just told us to have a good night and walked away!! After we left, we noticed the milkshake had several HAIRS floating around!!! YUCK!!! Terrible service, and the server had an excuse for everything (of course nothing was their fault). We won't be back unless some serious management/service issues are fixed.

We tried Mattie's for dinner a few nights ago. The food was good but awfully pricey for the portions. However, the evening was spoiled by inattentive service and awful acoustics. When you need to shout across a booth to be heard that gets ridiculous. Waiting fifteen minutes to order a drink is inexcusable. This place needs improvement.

We visited for brunch on a Sunday. The restaurant was about 2/3 filled, yet service was slow. Our party was only 4 adults and 1 child. We were there for over 2 hours and our water was never refilled, coffee once, and only two of us received a second brunch plate. The child's meal and drink was always brought last and a good 5-10 minutes after the adult meals. There were 4 times during our time there that dishes were dropped and broken. I assume it was just one of those days. The food was decent but I thought from the reviews it would be better. The server was very nice, but the bill was miscalculated charging for the child's meal at the adult price. The manager quickly adjusted this when I asked about it. In the end this would be a good place if you have a lot of time, are looking for a bit heavier food, and louder background noise.

Visited Mattie's with a group of 7 hungry bikers, anxious to try something new. The atmosphere and service were great, although an outdfoor patio would have been nice on such a nice evening. I'm a bit older, and thus had trouble reading the menu with such dark lighting and tiny print. Everybody thoroughly enjoyed their food - all but one of us ordered the chicken sandwich. I especially like the homemade kettle chips and bread-and-butter pickles. Sadly, the member of our group who ordered only a couple of appetizers was disappointed. They arrived late - well after the rest of us got our meals and nearly finished eating. The onion rings were overdone and unedible. Overall, though I'd return.

My experience must have been an anomaly, based on all of the other positive reviews. We were seated and waited for 45 min before the server came to take our order. At one point we got a refresh on our coffee, but it was ice cold. After waiting for 15 more min, I called the manager over to have the coffee situation addressed. It was another 15 min before we eventually got our food. In between the 1 hour and 15 min of waiting, our server stopped by maybe 2-3 times. We were about to leave when the food finally came. I won't go back simply because the neither the server nor the manager seemed to care that much. We were comp'd one of the breakfasts. However, I believe that if they really wanted our business, they would have made it right by comp'ing the entire bill.

The interior and location are amazing. The menu is creative, however a little less exciting than one would expect. The big issue is value. For 'pub fair' the prices are really high. I mean two of us with drinks and dinner was over $110, I would have expected about half that cost most other places. In the end the experience was not that amazing to justify the cost.

I went to Mattie's on Main early on a Sunday evening. The place was practically empty but the music was BLARING and it took 3 requests to get them to turn it down a little. There were 4 of us. Three ordered beers and I ordered a martini. It took 10 minutes to get the bottles of beer to our table and then I waited another 10 minutes before reminding our waiter that I still didn't have my drink. He promised to get on it. Bottom line, after 35 minutes I still didn't have my drink and cancelled my order. Totally unresponsive staff. Comments were "the bartender made your drink but then accidentally gave it away to someone else" and "what am I supposed to do?" The question should have been "what can I do to make this right?" I felt that the food was good but with the drink issue and lack of responsiveness of the wait staff I would NEVER eat there again or recommend that anyone else eat there.

Outstanding service! We had our wedding rehearsal dinner at Mattie's on a Thursday night. One of the managers, Ariel, helped us plan our event and did such an amazing job. She had clear and open communication and was so accommodating. It seemed as if no request was too large and they were glad to have our business. They made personalized menus for us and the food (apps, entrees, dessert) was absolutely fantastic!! The service the night of our event was outstanding. Our guests were so impressed and so were we (husband and I). We had such a great experience at Mattie's!

Came here with a few friends after work for some dinner. The service was great, the waiter was very nice and check on us to make sure we were doing ok a few times. The wait time for the food was also not too long. I had their pot roast and it was delicious, the meat was very tender and flavorful and was served with some vegetables and potatoes. The only thing was that it was soooo dark in there that I could not see the food so I couldn't really tell what kind of veggies I was eating or what the meat looked like. At one point my friend thought she was getting some meat off my plate and it was actually a potato. Other than that it was very good!

You'll notice the use of lipstick red is no coincidence since the place is based on a local brothel which used to be in the area. The conservative plain look of Kikugawa (which I thought was a pretty good spot) is totally gone and it's very lively and not over-the-top as far as the nod to the namesake brothel goes. It's pricey, yes. This is gonna be a spot for me to have *a* drink now and then, and only one (unless I luck out and make it there before 6). Tap beers all go for $5.50 (or $7.25 after tax and tip) and I went with Northgate's Wall's End which I hadn't seen before and was really good. They have a selection of cocktails in the $7-$9 range and adult milkshakes for $9.50. It's $2 off basically all drinks for the happy hour, which I had no idea existed since it's not posted at the bar anywhere. Tuesdays at 9PM they do something called a shakedown, which I'm guessing has to do with the alcoholic shakes being discounted and would probably mean having to call off work the next day.

Checked this place out with a Groupon, and while we enjoyed the appetizer (Monte Cristo Dippers), but the entrees were odd and boring. The Paregoric Burger was very dry, and the jam on top was ridiculously sweet. The NY Strip steak was ok, but it came with the blandest cauliflower chunks, and a bizarre display of sliced roma tomatoes topped with capers and kalamata slices. Everything was super bland - needed seasoning, or at least salt! We were seasoning everything. The restaurant is cute, and probably a lot of fun for young, hip folks looking for a beer or cocktail and some snacks, but don't go here for a nice dinner.

The 3 stars is generous. The menue is interesting & a bit different, but the quality of the food is very low grade. The service was slow & our server was not very attentive, and overall we didn't think we would return.

I have been here a few times for their dinner. I think this is a fantastic place to hang out with friends and enjoy a good dinner. I love the location, considering it's across the street from the river. On a nice day, I love eating my dinner outside. I get a wonderful view of St. Anthony Main and the Mississippi River. It is also peaceful. The employees here do a fantastic job at keeping everything clean and organized. I always feel comfortable walking in there. I have never once had a problem with cleanliness or disorganization in here. The waiters are always friendly. They are great at cracking up a good conversation when they have time. They are also great at any suggestions they may have and answering any questions we may have. It is served to me in reasonable amount of time. I do not think I have ever had to wait any longer than ten minutes. The plates are delicious! My favorite plate is the steak sandwich with fries. Their cocktails are also delicious, especially their margaritas. As long as this place continues to serve great food, I will continue coming here for their dinner. I feel like I can count on them for great food and a great time to hang out with friends.

I had great service here and OMG the monte cristo on a stick app thing. I don't even know how it was called but it was so amazing I can't stop raving about it to other. The people next to me, not so great service. Actually terrible service, to that point where I actually felt bad for them. No wonder there are so many bad reviews here. The place was slow on a Sunday evening, and there were definitely open tables around but the people right after us were quoted a 30 min wait time. I was like... what the... I guess the owners here don't want their money because they just looked around at the empty tables and left. Do get the Monte cristo and any burger. Don't get the asian salad, it was so bitter and disgusting. I only ate 3 bits and though it was a waste of space in my tummy. Great thing about this place is that they always pets on their patio and even have treats for them. But I think they bank too much of their location that they slack on the customer service front.

I dine fairly frequently at Mattie's for dinner, and as someone in the neighborhood, I really want it to succeed. Fun concept and cool atmosphere. I've found things on the menu I love. Unfortunately, the menu changes so often that the food and drinks I want have disappeared. And I'm not talking about seasonal menu changes, I'm talking about raising prices and decreasing options. I recommend the adult milkshakes and the cheese curds, if they're still on the menu. Unlike some reviewers, I've had consistently great servers who remember me when I come in. If you go on a weeknight, it make be awkwardly empty, so proceed with caution. Overall, something is a little off, but I gave Mattie's an extra star for the hope I have that it will be great in the future.

R.I.P. Mattie's On Main. Sadly Mattie's On Main closed it's doors on September 13, 2015. They had a fun brunch, good service, tasty food, and a beautiful location. I hope that an equally good restaurant moves into this location soon. Meanwhile visit Wilde Roast Cafe which is also owned by Tom and Dean.

Omg! Finally found a place that's open on the 4th and it's amazing! Bottomless mimosas for $15 and bottomless brunch for $15. We were sat outside, per our request, and our waiter brought waters immediately. I started my bottomless brunch with a blueberry roll, eggs Benedict, and a share plate. The share plate consists of sausage, potatoes, mini pancakes and fruit. The eggs Benedict was perfect and egg florentine was fresh. The drinks are amazing with a large selection. Adam was our server and probably one of the best servers I've had in a long time! Super attentive, answered all of our questions, super friendly, and super funny!! I will definitely be back. This will be my go-to brunch spot when I'm in Minneapolis.

Great food, great drinks and great service. Stopped here for a bite to eat before the fireworks started on July 4th - super friendly staff and got sat right away. I ordered the Gentleman's Burger and it was delicious. They got pretty crowded after we sat down but our food came out quickly and left in enough time to make the fireworks. Leaving your tab open and coming back after the fireworks were done was an option. Definitely will come back if we're ever in Minneapolis again!

I came here with a daily deal in hand. I was surprised that a restaurant on St. Anthony Main didn't have a patio but they have a large row of tables along large windows overlooking the river. It'll be a perfect setup for winter. The food at Mattie's was better than I expected! They don't rely solely on the great view and stage for live music. The drink menu is extensive and has a great variety. I ordered two of the barely legal lemon drop martinis. They were amazing. For food, I ordered the pizza rolls. They are home made and AWESOME. I actually liked them so much I ordered two. Just be aware that they come in an order of three so if you have a table of four, someone will be left out. My husband ordered a sandwich and it came with homemade chips. The chips are awesome so don't pay to upgrade to fries, which are battered and taste like Burger King fries (meh). The chips were crunchy and crispy without being oily or burned like many house made chips. They could use a dessert menu. They only had some chocolate mousse dessert that was ok but for a late night spot, or any place where people get dinner, you should have a dessert menu! The service was great here too. Our drinks were gorgeously prepared and our waitress was pleasant and attentive. I'll be back!

If I could this would be a 4.25 star review. Awesome service from the body builder server, sorry forgot his name. Definitely went against all the bad service reviews. Sometimes when you use a groupon servers treat you a little differently in a negative way which wasn't the case here. He made us really enjoy our experience. Food- App- Monte Cristo Dippers- one word - indescribable. They are so good! They were big giants deep fried balls of ham and cheese with a nice little jam to go along with it. Highly recommended! Entrees- I had the buffalo Mac and cheese which was awesome. Nice tender pasta with a really interesting buffalo blue cheese sauce. My sister and her BF had burgers which looks fantastic. They said the ingredients were really fresh and definitely recommended it to anyone looking for a good burger in the area. Drinks- I thought these would be the main attraction, but the were shadowed by the food. I had basically a whiskey mojito which was very good as well as a summertime whiskey lemonade drink. Both very good, but for the prices I thought I would get a unique stiff drink like the parlor, marvel or even Suzies. Although both delicious, seemed very light pours compared to all the rave reviews on here. My company agreed, not that were booze hounds, it just didn't seem like there was much booze in any of the drinks which at the price is disappointing. This paragraph would be the main reason for the deducted rating. We also had an adult milkshake which was a great desert treat. Overall it was a great visit between the food, our great server and the beautiful day enjoyed on their unique 4 seasons porch. Sadly the drinks may deter us from going back until we're in the mood for just food or until the dr says I finally must seize drinking cause my poor old liver is gone. :) JP

There's always someone in your brunch crew who only comes for the atmosphere and not the food (this person can also be found under "party pooper" and "buzzkill") - this kid will love Mattie's On Main. My friends and I checked Mattie's out by chance, not by plan. Walking around Northeast on a windy wannabe Spring day in March, we ducked into the 1950's diner/green room mashup and sat in their sunroom overlooking St. Anthony Main. Not only did their faux outdoor seating act as the perfect remedy to our winter blues, but the biscuits and gravy I ordered soon after sealed the deal. They offer a $15 bottomless mimosa or bloody Mary deal, which is somewhat steep for some of the diamonds-in-the-rough you can find in Minneapolis, but with the chance at alternating between mimosas AND bloodies, I'll have to check it out for myself. The aesthetics of Mattie's is what really encourages me to go again. Their dining rooms look like Mad Men meets Steak 'n Shake (this is a good thing), and the vibe of the whole place just screams laisez-faire rowdiness. It's not supposed to make sense, rather, it just works. Mattie's also hosts events like Flip Phone Beyoncé Brunch and cabaret, so no matter what the fun, you'll find it On Main.

Mattie's on Main has a great, eclectic ambience. Window seating is prime, and outside seating is even better, whether you're looking for a few drinks or a meal. I have only gone at dinner time, so I can't attest to the brunch fellow Yelpers are getting pretty fired up about. However, this is what I can contribute: the drinks are strong and delicious, and the food is well crafted... if they have what you're looking for. It may have been because I went on a Sunday night, but they were out of the first three things I ordered (taco of the week, pulled pork sandwich, and Philly cheese steak pizza), and the wait staff was fairly inattentive... Not a place where you can just get in and out. What we were able to order are the Monte Cristo Dippers- which are an absolute must. I was hesitant, but my partner insisted that we order them, and I am still red from embarrassment that I ever doubted the magic that is anything fried in funnel cake batter. My partner ordered the wild mushroom pappardelle, and I, the mac 'n cheese. Both were good calls, but once again, I will admit, his decision making that night was superior to mine. As far as martinis go, we got the dirty martini, jacuzzi party martini, and the shower party martini. The shower party martini is perfect. Order it.

This is a really cool restaurant - bar. I brought a group of customers here on a Thursday for lunch. They do not have regular menu service on Thursdays only a buffet which was phenomenal. Small nice selection of flatbreads soups salad some casseroles. The bar area is beautiful very large, very nice Decour and atmosphere. Would highly recommend a visit here during happy hour or the evening when you can enjoy the adult beverage. Looks like they have a small performing stage in this location as well perhaps for some live music some nights which would be really cool.

Hi. From out of town, and I KNOW food. Ate the cheese curds and the pretzel and let met me tell you, both were food. If that's not a glowing review, I don't know what is. I also don't understand what Yugoslavia is. Do you? Anyway, salt is good and this place does salt. See you soon. Tal

Oh my. That is the only way I can describe their brunch. When I was informed of how it operated, I was dubious at first. I was obsessed with Ikes family style brunch, until it lost it's all-American Sunday morning appeal and it became impossible to find a spot to sit. Besides, my family never served brunch like this. I've always found "family style" to be a bit of a misnomer. In fact, I don't even remember eating anything other than Raisin Bran or Grape Nuts on Sunday morning. I will never forgive my father for that, by the way. But look how the tables have turned, Dad, because at Matties, I'm not getting stale Raisin Bran. I'm getting Bottomless Mimosas. Or Bloody Marys. Want to switch after your first Mimosa? Go for it.* Want to change your mind again? Have at it! Down that Bloodie and get another Mimosa. Want to change it once more? You obviously can't make up your mind, please tip your server accordingly because that's a lot of running for someone so indecisive. But I digress, for $15, unlimited** Bloody Marys or Mimosas. Although my Dad habitually reminded me that carbonated beverages and snacks before brunch "filled [me] up too quick", I'd like to use this space to ask him how, if that was true, I was able to throw back plenty of those Mimosas AND find space for their delicious cinnamon cream cheese roll, drizzled in a peach syurp with blueberries. And how was I able to move onto the unlimited Build-Your-Own Omelet or Grilled Cheese? Wait, what was that, Dad? Grilled Cheese isn't suitable for brunch? Well, I'm a grown up now. And grown ups do things like build a delicious omelet with ham, fresh cut green peppers and Gruyère. Then, after eating the whole thing, they order a grilled cheese sandwich with cheddar, jalapenos and bacon. They dip it in house made tomato basil sauce. And they wash it down with a mimosa. A carbonated drink. And they do it happily, without nagging their kids before 10AM. All for $15, you can have your fill of breakfast or "not so breakfast" fare, building as many omelets or grilled cheese sandwiches as you desire. That isn't all you get though. Small pancakes, hashbrown squares and bacon are served along side each other until you've had your fill. Garnished with fruit, Mom and Dad can rest easy knowing their child is getting essential vitamins before 1pm. The atmosphere was great, too. St. Anthony Main is a really cool area, my first time ever going down there. "We don't go down to that area", I can hear my parents noting. "The parking is awful and there's probably traffic." Well played you two, because truer words have never been spoken. My parents may have been onto something. Parking is a pain to locate, and it can get hairy driving down Mainstreet looking for a spot. Don't let that discourage you, because this is worth the walk. Overview: $15 Bottomless Mimosa / Bloodys $15 Build your own Omelet or Grilled Cheese. ---Served with a cinnamon roll to start, then the entree served with ample pancakes, hashbrowns and bacon. Unlimited refills. $33~ total. Every bite was delicious. *They let us switch our drinks throughout the meal. Not sure if this is how it offically is, but I hope so. Use caution when ordering, if this isn't correct please post it. **See above.

The only reason I'm giving three stars is for poor service & not the greatest drinks. Otherwise the food & the atmosphere (we were there during live music) were great! A pretty good sized gluten free menu - a lot of sandwiches/burgers made gluten free just by subbing GF bread in. There is also a gluten free pizza crust available. I highly recommend the crispy BBQ sandwich on GF bread :) No kids menu or anything, not really geared for that - but the kids we had with us still loved the place!

We are in for the weekend from Chicago. One of the employees at our hotel recommended that we go see the stone arch bridge. While looking on yelp for a place for drinks, we saw Mattie's on Main and decided to give it a try. So glad we did!! What a fun atmosphere, great service, and delicious food. On top of all that, they have daily entertainment, which was a blast. Awesome bartender and great manager. Made us sad to be going home!!

Not too shabby for a new local place that could become my new go-to spot for a nice/casual dinner. My buddy and I ordered a chicken ossobucco and chicken crimini papardelle today. About 30-40 mins later, the dishes finally arrived and were decent to taste. Overall, I think Ossobucco could've been better if the chicken wasn't so dry, and the pappardelle dish could've used a bit more flavor and bigger pieces of chicken. So far, I've only heard that chicken soup's good for the soul, not the reverse that chicken soul's good for a pasta dish. For beverages, I was especially impressed with their "adult milkshake" menu. Who knew alcohol could mix well as a dairy concoction? Their Nutty Irish Man was d'lish and I'd love to try their other shakes again for sure. Overall, good decor, good ambience, and good experience. The location is also pristine since it's right next door to the St Anthony's Main Theatre and right across from the river. I'm already looking forward to trying them out again soon.

Beautiful location, beautiful establishment! Too cold to sit outside the day my sister and I went but we got to sit near the window in an almost greenhouse structor with a gorgeous view of the stone arch bridge! My sister and I shared one of their pizzas and it was perfect! Everything was cooked to perfection and was perfect for 2 to share! Also made their drinks nice and strong even during happy hour!

Just waited on the patio for drinks and apps! Over 15 min to get a drink in front of me, still waiting on waters we ordered in addition to our 11 dollar beverages. Good atmosphere but service is severely lacking and this is coming from a long time service industry worker. Update. Ended up leaving after still no appetizer after 45 minutes(I believe a table 2 tables over got our app but not positive) a table behind us left as well after they had not received drinks in 20 min and had to get going. This place has potential but a scatterbrained serving staff is it's biggest downfall.

Wasn't expecting much since its sister restaurant Wilde Roast is only so-so. But I was really blown away. Had the mussels and clams - fantastic. Squab was excellent, as was the cheese plate. Very refined, and good ingredients. Definitely the best in the neighborhood. I would even say it is better than Spoon and Stable. Beautiful patio, next to the river.

I was highly dissapointed by this restaurant. A few days ago I decided to expand my horizon by trying this new restaurant with my girlfriend. Upon entering, I was highly impressed by the cool interior design and atmosphere. As a note, this is the only reason I offered 2 stars. I was not very hungry and decided to get the buffalo wings, which were highly priced at $10. My girlfriend got the Philly steak sandwich for $15. The wings were the smallest and worst I have ever had. Maybe the chief was hungry and decided to eat them? I'm not sure. Calling them a plate of bones would have been more honest. As for my girlfriend, her sandwich was more bread than meat. It was better than my meal but quite mediocore. I probably won't ever go back unless I hear back from the restaurant regarding my experience. Cutting corners on meals is definitely not the way to gain loyal customers. And I truly hope my experience is an outlier considering that St. Anthony main needs more great restaurants. P.s. the service was great but there was only 10 other people there at the time.

Note: this review is for dinner, apparently their brunch is better. Beautiful space, great service, badly executed food and drinks. The drinks we ordered sounded great on paper, but came out either way too spicy (for the jalapeno mango drink) or way too bland and soul-less (the mojitos). The food was also hit-and-miss. A couple of the items were fine, but the $15 burger I ordered had a weird cloying industrial cardamom sweetness that was completely out of place. There are so many better options in town for foodies. But if all you want is brunch by the river, this would work.

If I had to choose one word to describe this place, it would be, "Meh." Our family went to celebrate my brother-in-law's birthday. Granted, it was a Friday night, but it was only 7 pm and it was very loud. I felt the acoustics were terrible, too, and probably would have been somewhat echoey even if music hadn't been blaring. I ordered a pizza and it was mediocre and not memorable. No one else in our party raved about their dish. The staff was friendly enough. Overall, it was just okay. The only way I would return there is if I had to attend some event being held there, otherwise I would choose elsewhere to go.

Spouse and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner, outside on the patio, starting w an app of delicious Asian inspired lettuce-wraps and ending w dessert treat of Orange-Creamsicle adult (liqueur-laced) milk shake. In between we loved the Works Burger (spouse) and Steak Frittes (me), both accompanied by very fresh and flavorfully seasoned French fries. The steak, served London-broil style, was melt-in-mouth tender and perfectly prepared. Our friendly and helpful server, Marshall, recommended summer coolers for beverages. Spouse selected the Electric Lemonade and I sipped on Proseco spiked w Peach-liqueur---both were fantastic choices. We would definitely return to Mattie's.

"Mattie's on Main - Leave Satisfied." A cheeky nod to the inspiration for their name - that of the notorious Mattie St. Clair. Mattie was one of the better-known Minneapolis Madame's in the late 1800's, and moved her own bordello near the space where this 'House of Spirits' now lives. I love that this modern-day saloon has its' roots in Minneapolis history, be it the type of history that some would like to forget. The decor is sassy, but not tacky. The red accents (mirrors, chandeliers) pop against the black and white paisley and hounds tooth wallpaper. I particularly liked the bathroom-area: It was a communal loo, with private 1-person rooms to take care of your business, and a huge old fashioned sink with old time-y faucets. They also have folded individual hand-towels in place of paper towels. Loved it. On to the important stuff - the spirits. I asked our waitress (who could not have been sweeter) to pick a drink for me off of their "Gentleman Choice" cocktail menu. She suggested the Old Fashioned, and boy - was it strong. No complaints here! Most of the Old-Fashioned's I'm used too are thick and a bit heavy, but this somehow managed to be - almost spritz-y, and fresh. It had muddled fruit, and real cherries, not the neon red maraschino type, on the swizzle stick. I was definitely feelin' the saloon vibe, alongside a good number of people filling up the atrium space - with a killer view! Then, I ordered a beer flight (9$) with a large selection of local craft beers. Totally worth it. I had an order of their homemade pizza rolls. - crispy and soft at the same time, with a salsa-esque marinara dipping sauce. The only downside was that they were a bit spendy to only get 3 rolls. I did, however, think the service was top-notch. Our waitress put up with us just lounging for a few hours, and never made us feel like we had to leave. My tip: sit out in the atrium. You get the best view and the best natural light. Or if you've come to the Saloon to meet a Madame, the dimly-lit ambiance of the front of the restaurant is where you should be.

Great atmosphere, decor, drink menu and HISTORY! If you're not familiar with the history of Mattie and the building then a once-through of the menu will give you a pretty good idea before you ask your server for more information. All in all, the slogan and food and drink names are quite clever. A friend of mine came here for dinner on a Thursday and were seated at a table for two against the rounded ceiling windows by the bar (like an indoor patio). Amazing view! It overlooks St. Anthony Main (duh) and is great for people watching. Plus, the bar is seated in a beautiful exposed brick wall with mirrors and blood red chandeliers all over the place. Really a fun modern twist on an early noir. Pizza Rolls: three nearly softball-size rolls of an Italian mess of flavors. Very hearty, very yummy. VIP Chef Salad: everything I hoped it would be. I mean, a salad with CHEESE CURDS!? Yessum. Balsamic Blueberry Manchego Sandwich: my friend got this and while she mentioned the flavors were perfect for each other it could have used a meat. Cauliflower side: do not overlook this. It is DELICIOUS! Perfectly sauteed in texture and flavor. The food was very good but lacked presentation. The salad was a salad. I make better presentation for the 7year old's dinner on a Tuesday night. Make me excited for the plate! I want to OOOH and AHHH at it. Make it photo worthy! Unfortunately, I am abstaining from alcohol for the time being so instead I ordered a mocktail which was far too artificially sweet for my taste. Can't wait to try the adult milkshakes though! Our server was a young man who seemed rather new (I guess they all are since it's a new restaurant...). He walked past our table several times and sort of gave us half glances instead of asking us a question. Seemed a little uneasy but I'm sure he's just feeling out his crowd. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. I'll be back here tomorrow for Endless Brunch! $15 for bottomless meats, potatoes and fruit plus an entree and a sweet roll. Also, LIVE MUSIC! and... a PHOTO BOOTH! Yeah, this place is a keeper.

Been to Mattie's a few times and found it to be a fun place with lot's of energy. The drinks are a great mix of old time standards and unique trendy options. I'm not a big beer fan, but they seem to take pride in having a lot of local craft beer options. The food options are good - I generally lean toward burgers, but there are a lot of other options that look appealing, but for me it's a burger or nothing.

Meh... Sorry, but I just can't get into the atmosphere of this place. The whole western saloon meets vampire bar just seems off for the neighborhood. I went with a few friends last on a Saturday evening. Service was ok but the food was nothing special - especially compared to some of the other spots nearby.

The first time I saw the word "meh" used was in a restaurant review. Having no idea what that meant, I had to look it up. They should have used a photo of Mattie's next to the definition. We ordered the homemade pizza rolls, lettuce wraps, and what the server described as their signature appetizer, the Monte Cristo. MEH, MEH, MEH. We were still a little hungry so we ordered the Pitsa Kupia, a big fat MEH. The prices were very fair - the restaurant very clean and cozy - but don't go for the food. Go for the entertainment, location and beverages.

Mattie's on Main is AMAZING. The food was spectacular, the service was great and the place has an awesome atmosphere (not to mention a really cool history that you should ask about). We started with the onion rings and wontons, which were both amazing! The wontons were the best that I've ever had. I was pleasantly surprised to see how many vegetarian options they had (and how many entrees that they were willing to make vegetarian). After dinner we were able to do the "Shake down" where we rolled 5 dice and whatever the amount was, that was the percent that we got off of our bill. I couldn't have been happier with the dinner that I had while at Mattie's on Main. The prices for food and drinks were very reasonable. Definitely try Mattie's!

I've been looking forward to trying this place since it opened, and I'm happy to say I've finally done so! I arrived at about 9:40 PM on Thursday 5/6. The interior of this place is excellent as well as the location. The red lighting and decor work well with the theme of the restaurant. My waitress advised kitchen closes on 20 minutes, but I was able to quickly place an order thanks to my pre dinner menu study session! I started with the pizza rolls. These were pretty good and I liked that the crust had a crunch to it, much like a calzone. Next was the jalapeño cream cheese wontons. These were very tasty and the sweet sauce served with really helped smooth out the jalapeño. Finally, I had the Red Light Pizza. This was the biggest letdown. The flavor itself was really good, but the crust couldn't hold up and rapidly became soggy. Bummed me out. To go along with my meal I got the mixed berry adult milkshake. Very tasty and I liked that the liquor didn't overpower the drink. It was just right. Overall I really enjoyed my night. My server was excellent; the drink was amazing, and the food (for the most part) was great. I plan on going back and trying some more!

Solid addition to the St Anthony Main strip of restaurants. An upscale "neighborhood pub" is just what the neighborhood needs. There is no patio, however a large portion is under an awning that makes it perfect for all seasons. Saturday evening at 7pm showed up without ressie's and easily found a table for two in the beautiful bar space. Definitely enjoyed the meal and would love to come back! Drinks: A pretty phenomenal cocktail list. all of the classic cocktails are names of famous "ladies" who were at Mattie's brothel (look up the history on the joint". They also have an extensive beer list and nice hefty pours of wine. Atmosphere: Darling interior. Even though the Riverplace center is pretty sterile, there is quite a bit of character in the restaurant. Food: The entire menu looks pretty amazing - a large selection of burgers, sandwiches, pizzas and apps, all really reasonably priced. We ordered the crab and salmon pizza - OMG amazing. And also split the butchers plate. Absolutely skip this next time. There were pig trotters, which can be done right and these were done quite wrong. There were sparse pieces of crackers, some shaved beets and cheese curds, but definitely not worth the $14 as we ate around some pickled feet and onions. Get us some salami and cheese! Overall this place is lovely! I'm not quite sure it outpaces it's sister Wilde Roast, but so happy Mattie's is in the neighborhood!

My experience at Mattie's is limited to their bar but on both occasions I've had very good drinks - happy hour prices are great for mixed drinks though their adult milkshakes and wine are a little more pricey. The first time I was there for a Thursday happy hour it was my friend and I and then about 3 other people at the bar so pretty quiet but the next time was a Friday when things got a little more hopping with a drag queen show. Service is good, staff is friendly, prices are reasonable. I can see this place really hitting it's stride come spring/summer when the whole St. Anthony Main area is packed. I looked forward to coming back for food (smelled awesome but we had dinner plans elsewhere.)

Went to Mattie's tonight for their Beer Dinner with Surly beers paired with four wonderful courses of food. Would love to tell you to stay away because I selfishly don't want this to get too crowded, but I'd be misleading. The food was outstanding. The service was excellent. This place is doing something REALLY right! Kudos to Mattie's! Keep up the great work, the great food, the great service.

The quintessential average restaurant. According to my dining partners, the food was so-so. I opted for dessert, a slice of pumpkin pie. Served warm--a big no-no, resulting in a mushy texture (that, yes, I admittedly exacerbated via repeated smushings with my fork). And, my drink ("One Night Stand," I think) tasted like lemon water. Disappointing, though somewhat expected. My friends get boozy milkshakes, and supposedly the grasshopper one (mint chocolate) was pretty decent. Food and drinks aside, I was not thrilled with the space. It felt underground, cave-like. A dull red glow adding a slightly hell-ish ambiance. Props to the server for his patience and upbeat nature despite the indecisive nature of our group. But, all in all, another strike out on Main.

I came here with my boyfriend on a Friday night with the intention to have a nice dinner. After awful service (except for the very nice busser) one bad drink each and an appetizer that did not sit well with either one of us we decided to forgo dinner here. The restaurant and staff were incredibly uninviting. I felt like we were not welcome, the decor was OK - it kind of reminded me of a sex store, but the music was just not appropriate for the atmosphere and it was very distracting. Overall we did not have a pleasant experience and we will never come here again.

The menu has a nice variety and had some interesting items. Points for having a separate Gluten-Free Menu. Sadly, the wait person was slow in retrieving that menu when we asked, which made the ordering process delayed. It wasn't a particularly busy evening at Mattie's but our party did end up waiting an exceptionally long time for service (e.g. menus, ordering, food to arrive). Loved the patio.

I have put off this review for a long time because I can't seem to get a handle on Mattie's on Main. The decor is fun and bright, the bathrooms are delightful and the view is fabulous. The drink/beer menu is great and I absolutely love their home made bread and butter pickles. I have been here about 8 times since they have opened, the food is delicious the service is pretty good but I have yet to experience any consistency here. The first few times no one could get the HH menu straight. Then there were a lot of changes with brunch (more details to come) that confused us during each visit. I know Mattie's is very new and staff seemed very hesitant and unsure but certainly improving over each visit. Something that continues to puzzle me is the soda water situation. At one visit I requested a glass of charged water (from your regular old bar dispenser) and surprise! It cost $3.50. For real? It's water. With bubbles. It didn't come from a bottle, it came from the same thing that gives you regular water. My main concern: At a Saturday brunch visit we had delightful, prompt, and attentive service. There was more variety, options and a steady flow of Mimosa is my glass. I talked it up to my friends, I shared my undying love and I spread the word about this fabulous and delicious brunch with endless food. But then, disaster struck. We brought another couple with us on a Saturday AM bright and early to overindulge in this glorious brunch. When we arrived we were greeted and told there was no brunch. No brunch? What. It's Saturday in NE, you are open.. and there is no Brunch?! We were informed that Saturday brunch had been discontinued "Like, last month... Or something?" Didn't see that coming. Complete and utter devastation. We went on to another brunch spot and when we walked past 2 hours later the restaurant was still completely empty... at prime brunch time. Mattie's, I don't know... I want to repair this relationship but I think I need some space. Your food is fab but you can't seem to get a handle on what works. Hopefully I'll see you again some Saturday for brunch.

Just checked this place out for the first time tonight. What a great new restaurant in the cities! Our server was attentive and went above and beyond! The food was delicious. Started with the wontons and loved how they were thinly wrapped and there was an ample amount of cheesy goodness on the inside. I had the sea bass and my boyfriend had the sausage. The sea bass was cooked perfectly and the kraut with the sausage was pretty damn tasty. We're both non-drinkers and were really happy they offer mocktails. They weren't overly sweet like you find at some places. Definitely heading back here in the future!

I was extremely unimpressed with this restaurant. The menu was impressive but they were out of ice cream (for the adult beverages) and when I had ordered the philly cheese steak, they were out of philly cheese steak as well in spite of several of their entrees centered around philly cheese steak. Additionally, when they served our appetizers, they gave it to the wrong table. While they did apologize and covered for it, we still had to wait another 15 to 20 minutes just for the appetizers. The drinks also took a long time to be served. The entrees we chose were average. Would not go back, would not recommend.

I headed to Mattie's On Main with my mom and a friend last week to check out their happy hour. Their happy hour specials were impossible for me to locate on the website, but I tweeted the restaurant and received a mobile screenshot response tweet that listed drink specials including $2 off tap beer and flights, $2 off adult milkshakes, $1 off mixed drinks and wine. Their beer selection was great and they had a TON of craft cocktails that sounded wonderful as well. Not included on the screenshot were the appetizer specials. Most of these were $5 - with the exception of the Lefse Nachos, half of the reason we went. My mom and our friend shared a couple of $5 appetizers: the buffalo chicken meatballs (which they loved) and the cream cheese wontons (which they also loved). The Lefse Nachos came with creme fraiche and since my mom and I were splitting these, we asked for this on the side. The kitchen accidentally made it normally first, realized their mistake, and re-made it with creme fraiche on the side. They let us keep BOTH plates which was awesome because my mom and I each got our own plate of 'chos! However, I think these need a bit of work. The ingredients are as follows: smoked salmon, cucumbers, finely sliced radish, pistachio guacamole & crème fraiche. Even with the creme, my mom said they were missing something. Without it, I found solace in mixing Sriracha with some of the peach jam that came with the wontons and drizzling this over the otherwise dry appetizer. The guacamole was good but sparse. Other possible improvments could come in the form of pickled red onions and cucumber, maybe a grainy mustard...and the peach jam/sriracha combo really was great! My mom actually makes her own version of lefse nachos (baking the lefse into "chips," whereas Mattie's deep-fry theirs) and serving with lingonberry salsa - also delicious. I think Mattie's nachos have a lot of potential, they just need to tweak it a bit. Our server was attentive and very patient with my foodie mother asking lots of questions! Our server also brought everything out at a reasonable pace and regularly checked up on us so we were able to get plenty of food and drinks ordered on special despite their relatively short happy hour (4-6pm). I will definitely be back to try out some of their dinner options and potentially their Sunday brunch.

This place is currently a Saturday brunch secret. $15 all you can eat. You get a 4 ingredient omelet or grilled cheese (I recommend the grilled cheese) and a platter of bacon, pancakes, fruit and hash brown cakes. All items are completely refillable at no extra charge. The food is great. Pistachio guacamole, fancy cheese, breakfast meats and veggies. For another $15 you can get a bottomless Bloody Mary or mimosa. The staff is super accommodating if not the most prepared. Haven't been for dinner but boozy milkshakes is promising.

Went there the Saturday of Labor Day weekend for a band we liked. Arrived about 45 mins before the band are we promptly told that all the tables near the stage were being utilized by a private party - well, they didn't really clear out until after the band started playing. TVs are obstructed so could not watch much. I told someone at the bar and he stated that "you and about 45,000 other have complained about the same thing - we've told management. The pizza we ordered - "Cherry Bomb" - was mediocre and later that night we both felt a bit queasy. Our friend tried a burger and he said it was "ok". Nothing special about this place. Better options nearby. Once and done.

This place is pretty fantastic! My friends and I were looking for a good Saturday Brunch spot and I found this gem here on Yelp with great reviews. My excitement started with the roll you get while you wait for your food to come out... OMG... I knew after falling in love with the rolls I was in for a fabulous meal! My favorites were the rolls, cheesy hash and of course my mimosa. I seriously could not get enough of the hash and luckily it was bottomless. The best part about this place, is everything is made fresh to order. I need to go back a few more times before everyone discovers the fabulousness that is Mattie's on Main and it starts to get busy; which I feel is inevitable. I am looking forward to going back to check out the lunch and dinner menus also. If you are looking for a great Brunch spot, I highly recommend this place. My mouth is watering just thinking about it!

Mattie's inherited the warm, friendly, welcoming atmosphere of its sister restaurant Wilde Roast Cafe and infuses that with the energy of a neighborhood taproom where everyone is welcome and everything feels familiar. The menu, a creative combination of bar/pub food and family-accessible dining with a hometown edge, is both inspired and inspiring. The appetizers can easily combine into a meal; the salads are fresh and delicious with layers of flavor; the entrees span comfort food to forward thinking culinary presentation, all in an efficient and succinct list. If you don't try the Chicken Buffalo Balls, you're missing something great. The bar, double-sided and forming the centerpiece of the Jim Smart designed space, hosts a draft and bottled beer list that has something for all palates, and the specialty cocktail list is worth a group effort to conquer. Their old fashioned is all it's been raved to be. Finally, the live stage. It's easy for live entertainment to quickly devolve into "band versus audience"; it's tough to hear how loud things are from the stage. But not here. The live music, from a large-ish band, was balanced in volume throughout the night, never made conversation impossible, and the entertainment was engaged and engaging with the crowd. The layout of the space is such that, if you're only there for the live entertainment and the bar, then there's a great space in front of the stage; if you're there for dinner, there's plenty of seating from which you can see and hear the action; if you want a more intimate setting, the lounge area provides a little more distance from the activity while still in the comfy confines of the bar area. One month in, Mattie's is hitting it's stride; management is attentive to customers and genuinely interested in ensuring that patrons "leave satisfied", giving weight to the establishment's tag line. Owners are involved and engaged; the wait staff is attentive but not burdensome; the bar staff is exactly what you want from an upscale neighborhood bar; the kitchen is orderly and quiet. This is the type of place where you can trust the staff to look after a person new in town - I know because they did exactly that when I sent a friend here on her first trip to scope out a place to live in her new home town. This will be my regular haunt when I'm in town.

Had a late dinner last night at Mattie's. It wasn't very busy. The staff we encountered were all very friendly. Our waitress was very nice and was able to make good food and drinks recommendations. The food was pretty average. I had a burger with blue cheese and mushrooms and the "rosemary" fries. There was no seasoning of any kind on the fries, definitely no rosemary, and many were stuck together leaving them soggy. There were also less than a handful of them on the plate. I would have picked another side had I known they weren't actually going to have any rosemary. At $13, I found the entree underwhelming and a bit high in price for what it was. Several people in our group had burgers and a couple of the plates had more fries, a couple had less, some had ketchup in a tin, some did not, and one was placed in front of 3 different diners at the table before it was in the correct spot. The adult milkshakes were small, so a bit overpriced at almost $12, but they were tasty. Our group had the grasshopper, pink squirrel, pb and bourbon, and the mudslide and everyone enjoyed them. Our waitress did struggle to answer questions regarding the gluten free items on the menu and with one diner who could not have any gluten, they were a bit hesitant to even order based on the lack of information. I can't say that I would make it a point to go back, which is too bad as it is a nice space and great location.

Stopped into Mattie's unexpectedly on a Saturday night around 7:30pm and just sat at the bar. They have a fun cocktail menu and I went for their caipirinha - it was the most awful caipirinha I have ever had. When the bartender came to ask us how our drinks were he was very kind when I said I didn't like mine and said "well let's find you something you like". I'm not one to usually send things back so I was appreciative of his kindness. Overall the vibe was great and picked up as the night went on. The staff was friendly and seemed excited to tell us about Mattie's. Wil be back soon!

The service has really gone down hill since they opened. I think the crowds have taken the cue to go elsewhere. Definitely not the place to spend a Friday night with friends... Many other options close by that are a safer bet. Too bad but the Wilde Roast crew has definitely stretched too far.

So excited we were to try out Mattie's brunch. The website indicates that they have it on both Saturday and Sunday, so we arrived, sat down, and asked for the brunch menu. Surprise! No brunch anymore on Saturdays. "This is the first Saturday we haven't had brunch" said our server. Well, thanks for letting us know ahead of time! Between this and our very mediocre dinner experience the other night, we won't be back.

Tried this place for the first time on New Years. Mattie's nailed it. I would say this is probably our go-to date-night place now. Sometimes newish places will struggle with a busy evening like New Years but this was perfect. There was one slight flaw with one of our desserts but that was more than made up for by the entertainment and the awesome service at the bar. 100% go check this place out if you haven't been. It's a funky cool experience and the lounge singer entertainment is perfect for the river front. The Pot Roast is outstanding. ..so are the cocktails.

Came for happy hour on a Monday night- great discounts on drinks and appetizers. We had a 1/2 price bottle of the house white wine; it was decent for the price. The fantastic, dynamic bar staff made the experience a true value. The ambiance of the space is breathtaking. The bar is mirrored by an arcade of windows framed in green, overlooking the cobblestone sidewalk. I can tell that Mattie's is destined to be wildly popular. The manager/owner has taken great care in creating a memorable experience.

Great atmosphere and great brunch. Only one option for brunch but it's all you can eat and $15, which was great! They don't have NFL ticket, but they had a jazz band for some great background music. I have been trying to find somewhere it's bottomless mimosas and they have it here!! Service was a little slow but friendly.

A lot like the other restaurant, Wilde Roast, owned by the same folks. For both places I would say that the concept is great, the staff are wonderful, and the food is absolutely mediocre. I feel like everything is sourced from Sysco or Kirkland brand at Costco, and then sort of presented nicely. It's too bad that all of the places on the river have rather bad food---and Mattie's could be SO great. The space is fabulous, the staff are fantastic....but spend money on better ingredients and a real chef.

Mattie's is a wonderful restaurant. From the service to the food everything was perfect. We went for my birthday and they offered us a free adult milk shake for the occasion. The menu included gluten free options and everything was unique. My boyfriend ordered a "Bloody Mary Pizza" and I had the steak. The steak was served with the most unusual sides of caramelized cauliflower, tomatoes and capers and was delicious! When we asked how we could recognize our server for his impeccable service he brought the manager out to speak to us. Everyone was super friendly and personable.

My wife an I went here on a whim today, mainly because it overlooks the river and they had a singer/guitar player that plays some good old, rock/pop tunes. They have brunch until 2 PM and you can only get brunch. Nothing else. The brunch was $15 and it consists of you ordering an omelet or a grilled cheese sandwich, or both. They give you a list of ingredients you can pick from to go in your omelet, or on your sandwich. They also bring you a single plate with some French toast, some kind of scalloped potato, bacon and fruit. First, they bring you a warm pastry. Ours was like an egg bread with blueberry and a warm honey butter on top. It was the best part of brunch ! The omelet was tiny, but well cooked. I ordered it, with about 4 ingredients, along with the grilled cheese sandwich, also with 4-5 ingredients. The sandwich was dry and not real hot. The single, shared plate had under cooked, cold bacon, cold, under cooked French toast and the tasteless, greasy potatoes augratin. I do like the space, with the windows. The bar is nice, they have a large menu for specialty cocktails. The drink menu is bigger than the food menu ! I guess that tells the story for this place. Maybe I will try this place for happy hour sometime. Not for brunch !

We were in the mood for a burger, but figured we would try out the new place in the area. Walking in the space looks great, very well laid out and right on the river. They boast 16 local beers, which I was happy to see, but the selection left something to be desired for my tastes (but I understand this is subjective). The menu was overwhelming to me, luckily substitutions were allowed for my 4 year old daughter and 20 year old sister in-law. While I can appreciate tomato jam and "bloody mary mix(?)" on a burger, it all just screamed that they were trying to do way too much. I am a firm believer in the KISS method, but will try to support what they are trying to do here anyway. So, I ordered the TJB (Tomato Jam, Bibb Lettuce and Bacon) burger which looked wonderful when it arrived at our table. But, for everything going on with this burger, it was quite flavorless. The meat itself seemed of high quality, which maybe they are trying to let the meat shine, but the burger was underseasoned (most foods are over salted to my tastes FWIW). The bacon was well cooked and good, but the brie and tomato jam were quite boring in my opinion. I am guessing we will try it again, but probably won't rush back either.

I would not recommend matties. Unfortunately, my last experience here will make me never come again. We first went here for happy hour on a Tuesday. It was empty and we received good service, food was ok but nothing to write home about. We had a living social deal so went for dinner tonight. Again, it was pretty dead for a Saturday night, while its neighbors, Vic's and aster cafe were packed. Our server was likely 16 years old and could clearly care less to be there, rushing away before we could ask questions about the menu. We received drinks, me, the vixen, a dirty martini which pleased. My husband got a whiskey coke which is very hard to mess up. We ordered, me, a burger with goat cheese and peach chutney and my hubs a fried chicken sandwich. I ordered a side salad with hopes for a vinaigrette or balsamic dressing which my annoyed server informed us they did not have, so I had to settle with a ranch like sauce for my mushroom, spinach, walnut and cranberry salad. I asked for my burger medium and it came raw in the middle so I sent it back. They slightly redeemed themselves by reheating and giving me another side salad, but because the server couldn't wait a second to see if we needed anything, I was left without silverware to eat. The only reason I'm giving it two stars instead of one is due to the decent happy hour experience we had. I wanted to really like this place. Save your time and money and go elsewhere.

I heard rumors about the adult milkshakes and had to try them out for myself. Oh my goodness. The adult milkshakes are amazing! I can't not order one when I go to Mattie's. The Monte Cristo-like app is to die for. It's amazing, and it's deep fried...so it probably does increase your risk of death...but it might be worth it. It comes on a stick with some bourbon infused jam. YUM! They don't have an outdoor patio, but they do have great window seating. It's definitely worth checking out.

Good beer list and some nice wines. The steak was not as good as I hoped. The Butcher meat and pickled items plate went great with beer. Make a reservation (easy through the website) as I think you will get a better table. It was packed when we were there but we were seated in a great spot in the glass-enclosed "patio."

I had the best experience at Mattie's on Main the other night! I made a reservation on their website which was very convenient, and they even called me to ask if I wanted to be near the stage since there was live music that I didn't know about. That was very thoughtful of them. They gave us a great table and the music was a really pleasant surprise! Our waitress, Halle, was amazing. She was super friendly and had great suggestions for food. I don't think I've ever had better service anywhere in my life! I really can't say enough about how nice she was. I've been to Mattie's multiple times, and always had great service, but Halle was awesome! Everyone at my table loved their food. We all shared the jalapeno cream cheese wontons and they were amazing. One friend got the veggie burger and said it was "refreshing," and I don't know if I've ever heard a burger described that way before! My other friends split one of the pizzas, which I've tried a few and they are all delicious! And I had the pizza rolls, which were amazing. They were nothing like tostinos...don't be fooled by the name! They were delicious gooey goodness. They also have a great tap list and some really delicious specialty martinis, of which the "One Night Stand" and the "Flirtini" were my favorites! Also, the woman who was singing was really great. She takes requests so I highly recommend going on Thursday's when she's there and dancing to your favorite songs! She did a great job on ever song, every genre! This is definitely my new favorite place. The atmosphere is really neat, the service is excellent, and the food is amazing.

Had the nachos which were interesting but excellent!! Then I had the Southern Belle Chicken Sandwich which was real good. Needed some spinach/lettuce and tomato!! Some onion would have been great too. Other than that the sandwich was great. Friends had some pizzas and they were very tasty. Not your typical pizza, but very very good!!!

Came here with hubby for date night. We had the onion rings as an appetizer which weren't very good. They weren't crunchy at all, in fact I think the batter was spongey so when we bit into a ring, it was very spongey and no crunch whatsoever. Hubby had a burger that was just mediocre. I had a bite of it and have to agree, there was just something missing in the flavor. I had a steak which was okay. Nothing to brag home about. It was a pretty gristly cut of steak and was very hard to cut into even with a steak knife. However, when i ate the leftover steak at home, I just used a butter knife and it cut right through! So not sure what's going on with their steak knives?? After dinner, hubby and I shared a slice of cherry pie which could have been better. They do serve a grape flavored pop rocks cheesecake which sounds interesting! Overall, everything we ate was just mediocre which i'm kinda sad about since I was really excited about a new place opening up here by the Stone Arch Bridge.

OMG. I just had the BEST brunch here. Wow. All-you-can-eat bacon, omelettes, bottomless Bloody Marys, etc. Live music, but not too loud. I'm coming here every weekend! P.S. The Monte Cristo during the regular menu is to die for.
