Yes, you can get basically the same sandwiches at a few other chain shops in town, but for some reason the subs at Jimmy John's just taste the best. The bread is chewy on the outside, so soft on the inside. Yum! Good toppings, and as others have pointed out, this place gets the balance right. Everything tastes fresh and delicious. I love the big pickles too.

Okay, I normally dig Jimmy John's. #12 is my jam- who doesn't like avocado on a sandwich? This location sucks though. I've never really enjoyed it here. Usually, the employees are clearly high or drunk and could really care less about the customer (which, at other JJ's is not the case!) and more about what bar they're gonna go to later. The sandwiches are never as good as usual either, and I'm not saying that with a bias. If I ask for sprouts, I don't want all of the sprouts you have and just one slice of turkey. The real kicker was today though. I rolled in after a barbecue where I had been drinking a few brews. Some girl, done with her shift, (who seemed like a manager) decided to start taunting me for appearing a little under the influence. "Well I guess it's 5 o' clock somewhere," she kept saying to her buddies and pointing at me, when in fact, it was also past 5 o' clock here. Good joke, idiot. I guess her managerial skills explain why this location sucks so hard. You should never be treated this way as a customer. From now on I'll keep my JJ consumption to other areas and order from the much better quick serve/delivery options in Uptown. Pizza Luce, Taco Cat, Falafel King, Toppers, Mesa... I guess I won't miss you that much, Jimmy.

Freaky fast??? Waited 20 minutes inside and apparently "lost" the order. Late night manager is for the birds. Never has making a basic sandwich been so difficult. Lessoned learned: go to Caffrey's

I have never waited so long for a Jimmy Johns sub before. I honestly could've gotten out quicker at a subway. I ordered a Big John Unwich and while at most locations it's wrapped nicely in lettuce, here it was basically trying to eat a chopped salad--I should've asked for a fork. The demeanor of the workers is also very unprofessional--it seemed like they were half asleep. This is the first time I've ever been disappointed in a JJ's! I hope they can get their act together!

It baffles me why anyone would go to one of these chain fast food chain sandwich shops when there are much better fast food sandwich shops near by (Caffrey's, Jasmine 26, Falafel King, Flavor Bees, Kowalskis), for about the same price (Are statements like this the definition of snobbery? Am I a snob?). My latest foray here (not by choice) included the Italian sub. It's OK I guess, the hot pepers mask what a mediocre sandwich it really is. The Jimmy John's sham was truly exposed by the Plain Slim's Ham & Cheese w/o the lettuce that my wife bought for the kids. It was sad how skimpy it was, I was genuinely disgusted when I opened it up. A big hunk of low quality chewy white bread, dwarfing the wafer thin layers of meat of cheese. The shredded lettuce normally in the sandwiches makes it look literally three times its size. Without the lettuce it is like Congresswoman Michelle Bachman without the entertaining things she is caught saying and doing on camera - shallow and pedestrian.

This is one of the worst Jimmy John's ever. The actual store isn't that bad, but let's be honest, people like jimmy johns b/c of their freaky fast no charge delivery. DO NOT BE FOOLED. This Jimmy Johns is freaky SLOW.. and I have never received a sandwich from them in less than 50 mins. They've gotten my order completely wrong twice, and I only ever order a #4. No special requests. Come on guys.. get better, b/c you suck.

$4.50 for a eight inch sub that is tasty? This is your place. It was a great stop for lunch. The music is an odd mix of punk, acid jazz, and emo but for the food I can let that pass. Save money and get the #4 Turkey with Provolone. You'll be hooked.

$5 sandwiches - yes!! In todays tough economy -its just what I need and can afford. Turkey all the way! The bread is fresh, the ingredients are yummy, and the whole sandwiches end up being very tasty.

So my friends have had some bad experiences with this locations. I've always defended it until today. I placed a simple delivery order at 9:16pm, as of 10:06pm I still haven't received my order. It's probably of note that I live 2 blocks away. Yes, I could've walked there and picked it up, but it's cold and I'm paying for delivery. Called the JJ twice. They said the driver would be there shortly. 10:09 - still not here. Cancel my order I'm not paying for this freaky slow delivery. If my card is charged when I wake up in the morning HQ Better be expecting a call from me. Quote me!

My love for you is stronger than steel, mightier than a, um, Trojan horse. The bread is soft, chewy, and I love that they scoop out a chunk of it to put the fixings in. I get the #6, which is the vegetarian. Alfalfa sprouts, provolone, (with avocado smear in between the cheese) lettuce, tomato, cukes, and I also get onions. They come in 8 inches; so they are a bit more money than subway. But they are totally worth it. And they deliver. The lame thing is that they are not in California. Boo.

I just don't get the appeal of Jimmy John's. At all. Especially when there are SO many better options nearby (as a previous reviewer mentioned). Caffrey's and Milio's are just two excellent options that come to mind, and at similar price points (with higher quality ingredients). There are also way better chains out there, like Erbert and Gerbert's. The ingredients Jimmy John's uses are sub-par, at best. And what is up with slathering unholy amounts of Mayo all over each sandwich? Even when no Mayo is specifically requested, it tends to show up when ordering delivery. I have been in this location before and was less than impressed with the staff. A friend and I got sandwiches and stuck around to eat them; boy, I wished we hadn't! The employees were being so rude to each other, fighting and calling each other foul names. It was some R-rated language, let me tell you! I was frankly shocked that they were speaking to one another that way; next time try showing some semblance of professionalism when customers are present and address your differences in private. Sheesh.

While on a family trip, we stopped in at this place for lunch. We were attracted to the reviews, and also the un-wich. We found the place adequate, kinda interesting, but nothing special. The kids said the sandwiches tasted OK, but didn't finish them (not normal!). They weren't bad, they just weren't anything to write home about. Great idea, needs some work.

This location has DISHONEST late shift employees who STEAL from their customers. This Jimmy John's has a tip line included on the receipt, which is the first I've seen from Jimmy John's as I am not from the area and the JJ's I frequent do not have them. I always find it laughable when a fast food restaurant includes a tip line, which is why I am so outraged to find that the sandwich jockey behind the counter gave himself a $2 tip when I clearly crossed out the tip line and left no tip. I am disputing the charge with my credit card company and will never return to this location. I'm stunned with how dishonest some people can be; these guys definitely give the food service industry a black eye by FLAT OUT STEALING from patrons. I recommend checking your credit card statements or paying with cash when coming to this location, so that at least when the employees steal, it's from their employer and not from you.

They had customer appreciation day and subs were only $1 until 3 pm. I got there about 2:30 and to wait in line for 10 minutes. I ordered the number 3 (tuna) and got a bag of chips so my total bill was $2.25. I took it home (5 minutes away) and washed it down with a diet coke. The sub was really tasty and fresh. I liked the tuna better than Subway and the extra couple of bites from the 8 inch length was appreciated. The only con was the bread was just a teeny bit harder than I like. Overall, I will def go back as a regular customer. The loss-leader strategy worked in my case, so yeah, congrats to Jimmy John's management team!

I went to this location yesterday and last week. Both times, I ordered a Vito (Italian sub) with all the freebies. Each visit had different staff, and both times they screwed the sandwiched up. On both sandwiches they forgot the Italian vinaigrette, mayo, and sprouts. Last week, on top of the above they forgot the oregano. And that sandwich also had half the meat and double the onions and mustard. Disgusting.

Really the only place in uptown you should go for a sandwich if Davanni's was hit by a meteorite. Good bread. Good assembly. That mysterious "this is a good sandwich" flavor that is hard to replicate at home can be found here.

I cannot give this place more than three stars, but do not get me wrong, they can sure deliver a good sandwich. Sometimes the bread is hard though and sometimes it takes longer than it should for delivery. I do like that they added a "low carb" option to their menu with the lettuce wrapped sandwich. The BBQ chips are great too! My favorite sandwich is the Turkey Tom add cheese. I do have to say that sometimes the tomatoes are super gross, so I never know whether to ask for the sandwich with them or without them... All in all, this is a great place to stop in a grab a quick bite or order in on a lazy day.

I'm from Philly. IMO JJ's is the best hoagie I've had in Minnesota. The Vito (#5) with extra meat and hot cherry peppers comes very close to a "Italian Cold Cuts" sub from NJ, PA, or NY. It's $7 - but enough for two. I would give them 5 stars if they had a crusty, more authentic bread.

Some of the best damn subs you can get in the city for about $5.00!

a sandwich is pretty hard to mess up - so it's all about execution and balance of veges to meat to et cetera and jimmy john's executes perfectly. they dun slop on the toppings like subway but it's perfectly layered and balanced. i think if they opened a jimmy's in cali it'd do really well.

Good food, fast service. If that is what you want, then here is your place. I give them a 3 only because they don't have anything that makes them stand out amongst the other sandwich venues. With that said, I never leave dissappointed, just never wowed.

Grab a loaf of yesterday's bread for 50 cents and use it for French toast. I promise, it will blow your mind!

i prefer milio's bread, but JJ has a better tuna salad. and, hell, this isn't subway by any stretch of the imagination. the most important part of the sandwich building critique is the balance of toppings, meaning, did they manage to spread the pickles, tomatoes, mayo etc. on the ENTIRE sandwich or are the ends bare and the middle too think to chomp through. they passed my balance test with flying colors, ensuring my return when in need of a sub in the uptown area. ohh, I just learned that JJ and Milios are owned by the same people...I say bring Milio's bread over to JJ then!!
