Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

High Cholesterol at Pizza Hut

Whether large, medium or small, a pizza can boost your cholesterol levels instantly. You shouldn't eat more than one slice of any pizza your order at Pizza Hut. You can also try pasta at Pizza Hut but ensure that you are not adding any dressing or extra cheese as you order pasta.

The waffle cone was very worth it. They even put a whopper at the bottom to help prevent the ice cream from dripping down the hole. I managed to get in before the crowds, so expect a wait, but it's worth it.

Awesome building! Super modern and clean! I absolutely love their flavor up app - which notifies you which flavor is available before you come! Their scoops are so neat and perfect! The izzy size is so cute! The ice cream here is pretty rad, wish they'd have more interesting flavors. Let's talk about pricing - over rated. Fourteen bucks on ice cream for 2 people? That's like a meal! Not a bad ice cream place but maybe they need to review their prices. Definitely a return for me!

Great ice cream and the Izzy scoop concept is so cute! The mini scoop of ice cream on top of your ice cream is a genius idea! We stopped here after a late lunch per the recommendation of our local friends and we were so glad we did! I was so full from lunch but heard great things about the Izzy Pop Frozen Treats, so I couldn't resist. I got the Salted Caramel and it was beyond delicious. I almost wished I had gotten it on a cone but it was such a perfect portion of ice cream. Grab a napkin because the chocolate coating will crumble and you want to be able to eat it all! I was a big fan of the minimalist polkadot menu and the decor. Very clean and welcoming. I wish there was a place like this at home in Utah! This will be my first stop when I return to Minneapolis.

Hotdish and i use this place to bribe my son Tapas (not his real name. I'm not that hip). The ice cream is great, very rich, and the selection changes frequently, if not daily. The best part is the "izzy", which is a tiny sample scoop on top. There has been a line out the door every time we've been, but this isn't a bad thing. It gives you time to peruse the extensive choices and decide on your scoop and your izzy, change your mind twice, then revert back to your original decision by the time you get to the counter. Every flavor I've tried has been great with two exceptions: bubble gum, which was Tapas's choice, bc bubble gum should be outlawed in ice cream; and the really popular flavor with the whiskey in it (the name escapes me; Hotdish's choice) bc personally i don't like liquor-flavored sweets. If i want to chew gum and get drunk, ice cream in no way needs to be involved. The only other drawback isn't Izzy's fault, but it drives me nuts. There are several tables out front, which is nice. Most people don't take Izzy's to go. Unfortunately, Izzy's draws a hipster crowd who treat the tables like hangouts. There will inevitably be two or three tables of fedoras and beards and vintage dresses who have finished their ice cream but continue to use the table. So groups with children, like us, end up standing awkwardly on the sidewalk glaring and waiting for the intelligentsia to come to a conclusion about existentialism so other people can sit. I've even seen these groups ignore handicapped people struggling on the sidewalk. Some sort of "you've had your fun now move along" sign or siren or something would be nice. Glares and loud throat clearing doesn't seem to work. Don't sit inside unless you like looking at a parade of butts on line waiting to order. Some may consider this a draw.

I stumbled upon Izzy's while driving around downtown Minneapolis looking for my hotel on a Sunday night at 10:30 PM. I saw a line of people outside the shop, and of course, my curiosity, or really, my FOMO (fear of missing out) set in and I had to stop and go to Izzy's. When I walked in, I immediately felt like I was transported to Belgium. I have never been to Belgium before, but I'd imagine it's like a Belgian Waffle Wonderland. The smell of the homemade waffle cones inside Izzy's makes you feel warm and happy inside. If you're hangry (so hungry that you're angry) when you walk in and see the line, don't worry, you won't have to wait long to get your ice cream. There were about 4-5 people scooping ice cream even on a Sunday night. You can ask to try as many flavors as you'd like, and they give you generously sized samples. I ordered the Pecan Praline flavor - the ice cream was maple flavored and had big chunks of sugar coated pecans. It was delicious! The ice cream was smooth and creamy, and had just the right amount of pecans. It wasn't too sweet (which I like!), yet very flavorful. Oh, and the best part, every cone comes with a chocolate malt ball! Most people order the Izzy scoop (small scoop of a different flavor of ice cream) on top for a bit extra, but the malt ball was perfect for me. It's like the cherry on top, but 10x better than a cherry because it's chocolate!

Everyone on insta was telling me to go to Izzy's. I drove by one night and there was a line wrapped around the block..... I kept driving. That was at 9:15pm right after sunset. I drove by again a couple days later at 6:30 and there were only 10 people in line - to the door. I got some street parking and went in. I tried the Nutella flavor and got Summit Oatmeal Stout as my Izzy scoop. I told the girl it was my first time and she was super cheerful and explained everything. Great service. Outstanding ice cream. I get it now.

ALL THE YES. I signed up on their mailing list to let me know when the mini donut ice cream flavor would be available. Finally, after about a week or two of agonizing wait, they emailed me and it happened to be about 85 degrees outside. Perfect, Izzy's. Thank you. I showed up within an hour and got my cone, with a salted caramel Izzy on top. I tried about 5 flavors first to find the perfect complimentary flavor. The girl working was patient and friendly. It got busy right after I got mine, so timing was perfect. Absolutely the best consistency. 5 stars.

Izzy's is my hands-down favorite ice cream shop in the cities. The salted caramel is amazing. The elderberry is my favorite fruity selection. Sometimes the lines are ridiculously long, but trust me when I say that it is worth the wait. While there is no sunny beach to go relax on, there is a pretty cool view of downtown and the river to soak in while licking away on your cone. Best time to go: every day :)
