Hubert's is a classic joint in a city of trendy clubs and pubs. Hubert's Target Field and Hubert's Metrodome are like New Coke and Coke Classic. I'm with Coke Classic. The photos and jerseys make this a museum of MN sports history, and that's why you go to Huberts. The food is fine and the drinks are cold. I like to meet here b4 Twins game or concert, enjoy a beverage and then walk to the arena or TF. Great place to make memories and revisit some fine old memories too.

Disclaimer: although I've been here MANY times, it's never been right before, during, or after a sporting event. I think the place may be a little different during those times. I work in the area, so some co-workers and I come here about once every 2 weeks after work. The place is dead at 8pm on a random weekday night. We are usually one of maybe 2-3 other tables in there. Which is too bad, because it seems like it could be a fun place if there were a LOT more people. So this review is mostly of the food- which is why we go. I know, that's what we get for going to a bar to eat... but the food is not great. It's OK bar food, it's not good restaurant food. (I know you know what I'm talking about.) The wings are ok. The sandwiches are probably your best bet. They are ALWAYS out of the special when we come, so it's a become a joke in our group that they don't actually even make any- they just put it on the menu to make it seem like they change things up now and then. Drinks are fine, service is fast, food comes out really quickly. If not within walking distance of our parking lot, probably would not eat here again. But it is, so I do. And that's my own fault for being too lazy to drive the 3 blocks down to Washington where there's tons of food available. So shame on me.

Came in just before happy hour to check out the local pre-game spot for Vikings, the stadium was being rebuilt. Nice beer selection and decently friendly staff and few somewhat surley patrons. Stop in for a pint and enjoy whats on the menu.

This is a bit of a run-of-the-mill bar except that it has that history with the Metrodome and is really a landmark because of that. You'd think more businesses would have popped up right outside the Dome over the years but Hubert's is the only one that's just outside. We stopped in here recently after a college baseball game and it was a good time. The place is just a general sports bar, but they have some cool Twins memorabilia, including an old flag or something for the 1965 World Series team and a bunch of signed baseballs. There are also a bunch of old framed newspapers and whatnot, documenting big moments for MN sports teams. Overall Hubert's is pretty dingy, and the food I've had here in the past has been just adequate, but it's super convenient and has a working-class vibe with friendly staff. This location at least has the originality, whereas their Target Center location comes off as rather generic.

I used to work at the Juvenile Justice Center a block away (near Hennepin County Medical Center). I would often go there and get burgers and a sandwich once in a while. Nothing they have is great, it just gets the job done. I never thought much about Hubert's until I left and someone brought it up later. I told that person that since there's very little else around there for lunch, my options were Hubert's or the hospital cafeteria. I thought about that for a second: Hubert's and a hospital cafeteria are just about on par with each other. The only difference is that Hubert's food is usually warm and the hospital's is not. The differences end there. People go to this place because they have to in order to catch a Vikings game. If you have the option, go somewhere else.

Huberts is a cool little sports bar right next to the Metrodome. I went here after a Twins game when they were still playing there, and I felt welcomed as an out-of-towner, so that was cool. I enjoyed looking at all the old sports memorabilia, signed shirts, trophys and old news articles..... cool to check out. I hear they have a new Hubert's by the new stadium, so I wonder what has stayed and what has moved to the new location.

My buddy and I walked over to Huberts to watch the Vi kings vs. Detroit game. He is a Detroit fan and of course I like the Vikings. We both got a Summit which was delivered quickly. I got the chicken Philly cheese steak, amazing. The fries were crispy and the bread was crispy as well. Lots of meat and cheese and veggies, it was awesome. My buddy got the true Philly Cheese steak and he loved it as well. Again, the fries were perfect.

Good for a quick lunch as it's close to the hospital I do some work for. Service was good. I suggest the Rachel (Turkey & Sauerkraut).

I once went on a Friday, and I will probably only go on a Friday because they have an incredible clam chowder. Seems like a fun jock scene for those so inclined.

If I could have put a hex on Huberts for all the rude service I've experienced here it would have burned down 20 years ago. I think my hex has finally came true; it's called TARGET FIELD. DIE HUBERTS DIE.

I came here before a Twins game. My brother recommended it as a meeting point for a group that I was hosting. It was busy, but not overcrowded. The patrons were a good mix of young and old, families and singles, etc. The service and food were OK, but not really remarkable as far as sports bars go (although the Twins memorabilia was interesting). But the beer was was good, the fellowship was excellent and we were all in a good mood as we went over to the Dome.

Huberts is a solid sports bar that dates from when sports bars really took over the landscape in the '80's. It's close proximity to the Metrodome is it's reason for existence... so it makes a perfect meeting place before the game, but I really can't imagine going to it for any other reason. It has a chill environment even though it's filled with sports fans around game time. The one time I had food it was pretty meh, but save your appetite for the game. Dome dogs rule!

Nothing too special, standard sports bar fare. This place gets super busy before games at the Metrodome since it is the closest location to grab a bite and a beer. Our workplace is right next door, so we occasionally come here for happy hour, which is decent, but the free popcorn is pretty great. Lots of sports memorabilia all over everywhere. The waitstaff is pretty cool, the waitresses I've had have been older gals that have worked in the business for awhile and won't hesitate to chat with your group for awhile, which is sort of fun.

Oh Hubert's... the perfect place to celebrate a victory or mourn a defeat.
