Always a stop for me when I am in the Cities. Great beer selection, excellent menu and very friendly staff. One of my favorite patios for day drinking.

Cuzzy's is now open on Sunday's during home Twins games. This news makes me happier that it should. Bonus, they are considering being open during home Vikings games as well.

Crabs! Heck yes!!! Wednesday is crab day at this lovely hole in the wall. Don't be fooled by the exterior or the interior for that matter, food is delicious! Apparently Tuesday is Taco Tuesday. I guess I'll be making my way there again very soon!

Ultra dive. It kinda looks like the Triple Rock and First Ave came together and gave birth to a basement rec room....or something. I definitely liked it....popped in for a drink or two during a pub crawl. The 'decor' is really dingy and bizarre, but in a good way. Decorated dollar bills are everywhere and there's a lot of weird crap to look at. I could certainly see coming back before or after a game, or just while in the area. One of the better North Loop bars I've been to, for sure. I didn't have any of the food, but they have a very extensive menu.

So, this part of town feels like the middle of nowhere but I'm glad I trekked over there! (They have a parking lot for you drivers) Was over at the Alliance Francaise for an event that got canceled. And nothing says 'substitute for classy French movie' like a dive bar with dollar bills all over the walls. Ordered a burger to split with my buddy (don't judge me) :) and when it came out there were two plates with 2 burgers.... Me: Oh, sorry, we didn't actually order 2 burgers, we only ordered 1 to split. Server: Oh I know, we just split it for you on two plates. Me: This is half a burger? Server: Yep! Me: srsly? Server: Yep! So, things I learned: The servers are SO NICE (who ever splits an entree for you without even asking?), burgers are delicious, and ginormous w/ 1/2 a burger being plenty for dinner, tots are yummy. Beer selection is legit. And I got to sit outdoors on the patio on this beautiful evening!

I will be buried beneath Cuzzy's patio when I die. There tater tots are like the best sex dream you have ever had. Breakfast is seriously a religious experience. This is the only restaurant I have eaten breakfast, lunch and dinner at all in the same day. I would do it again in a heartbeat. But then my heart would stop. The owners (Bobby and John) are two of the best dudes in the Cities as well...an "icing/cake" sorta thing.

I went here with a couple of friends not really knowing what I was getting into. This was my first dive bar. I'm not going to lie I try my best to avoid them but Cuzzy's is alright. I guess it's more who you go with then anything. The food was delicious and the drinks are very strong! I took two sips out of my drink. Now me 4 years ago would have loved that but I like to take it easy now. Great attentive friendly staff. I looked at what they offer for breakfast. Can't wait to stop in!

Simple, cheap, filling breakfast; I got the cheddar and bacon omelet and only finished half. Plus, every square centimeter of wall space is papered with defaced dollar bills. And, apparently this place is visited by the ghost of a jilted woman named Betsy from back in the day, when Cuzzy's used to be a burlesque house? Anyway, if you like haunted dive bars that serve good food, Cuzzy's is it.

  • Colin D.

Been coming here about three times a month and it's still my favorite bar. Finally got to try the breakfasts which was enjoyable. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Edit Nice people drink here. I somehow left my backpack here (I'm blaming the ghost Betsy). Fortunately for me someone handed it in and it was waiting for me when I arrived in a panic near closing time.

Cuzzy's is my favorite place to get a crab dinner in the Twin Cities. Yep, you read that right, crab. Its not Oceanaire crab or anything, but for 14 dollars or so on Wednesdays, they give you a whole pound, plus a side and salad. For a mere additional five dollars, they bring you ANOTHER pound! I also like the dollar bill decorations, they'll bring you markers if you want to decorate one, which is a nice touch.

Cuzzy's has kind of lost its allure. I used to live a block away and came in all the time for fried bar food and the casual atmosphere. The bartenders and waitresses were friendly, knew their stuff, and knew us. Admittedly, I'm the one who moved. But when I came in last night, everything was just off. There were no daily specials (maybe that's a Saturday thing, but I thought they always had specials). We had to ask them to turn the sound on for the game. The games at the back of the bar were gone. Our $100 pesos weren't hanging near the kitchen anymore. And our waitress was, well, kind of a bitch despite the fact that our table spent around $200. She was attentive though - for the most part, our drinks were always full. I don't know. Maybe it's still the same on weekdays, or maybe our waitress was having a bad night... but I kind of doubt it. At least I don't live nearby anymore, having to constantly mourn the loss of my former fave bar.

Typical dive bar, your garden variety beers on tap. Prices are okay. Not much else to say, but the dollar bills on the wall and ceiling stand out more than anything else. Maybe you can put your own up there!

  • Jesse A.

Stopped in here to wath Ultimate Fighting! The Pork Loin rolls were great and the special on the Prime Rib was out of this World! Wait staff was a little slow or it would have been a 5 star.

This "dive" bar kind of snuck up on me! I live in the North Loop/Warehouse District and just a short walk away from Cuzzy's. I'd never really given much thought to going inside for close to a year but decided to check it out since I could walk over. My cousin and I ordered burgers -- I had the S.O.B. burger. I really enjoyed the burger. My cousin liked it too, which is high praise because he is picky and tougher to please than me. I actually fell in love with Cuzzy's when I returned for breakfast on a Saturday morning. I ordered a Mushroom omlette! OMG! Seriously? The cuisine wasn't anything I expected to be served at a "dive" bar! The decor is probably what one would expect of a dive bar. It's cool to see all of the dollar bills that people have decorated and left on the walls (and ceiling). I've been three times now, twice with friends visiting from out of town. The wait staff is friendly and attentive! This is definitely one of my favorite restaurants in the Twin Cities and I think that's high praise! :) I heart Cuzzy's!

My girlfriend and I had breakfast here this morning, because Ike's wasn't open yet, Hells Kitchen had a 30 minute wait, and Keyes was complete chaos as well. It was a delicious greasy, cure a hangover breakfast and a really good price. 2 breakfasts and a bloody mary was only about $20. :)

Great French dip; great onion rings, good tater tots, nice, friendly atmosphere of a neighborhood bar.

    (3)
  • Jo K.

The food is amazing- especially the sandwiches- and the appetizers are almost all deep friend and wildly delicious. Their onion rings are thicker than most and come with special dipping sauce. The ambiance of the place is pretty sweet as well. Very much a dive bar, it is completely decorated in colored dollar bills, and the service has always been very friendly. Check it out on a day that the twins aren't playing at home, for minimum crowds.

uh, how haven't i written a review of Cuzzy's? Possibly bc I've always had so much fun there that I'd forgotten about even being there. ;) Cuzzy's is decieving. On the surface, it appears to be a quintessential dive bar. It's got just the type of divey ambiance that I look for on my hunt for a contender to replace my long lost beloved Al's. But then it throws you a curve ball because it has amazing food! Seriously, the best "upscale" bar food in town. There's even a daily special board! Seriously! One of tonight's was a burger topped with procuitto and provolone -- now Al's 6 pack frozen pizza was good, but day-um, it couldn't compare with the offerings at Cuzzy's. If only it were closer...ah, sometimes I wish I were a wee bit more hip and lived in the Loop. Maybe in another life...

I found Cuzzys by chance since a coworker's brother owns the joint. Great place for summer get togethers out back. Food is great. If you're a hoity toity lawyer and expecting ultra modern decor and well mannored staff move yourself back downtown -this isn't the place for you. Everyone else will give two thumbs up (Fonzy , not Jerzzzzzszy Shore style :)

Total dive bar, but it has a decent breakfast and it's in the heart of the North Loop.

    (3)
  • Laura R.

It's a total dive bar. I haven't eaten here, just stopped in for a drink before a Twins game. My drink was a $3 PBR tall boy (score!). There's a decent patio out back, but I'm guessing there are better spots to pre-game. Didn't love it, but don't hate it. The history of the place is really cool though.

We eat out 7 to 9 times a week, if not more, been in the neighborhood 5 days and decided to check out Cuzzy's on a friday night as it's the closest to our building.. Walked in, greeted nicely, waitress said she's be back. In the 15+ minutes we waited, two other very friendly servers topped off our waters, but our waitress never left the table behind us where she was flirting. Numerous attempts to get her attention, failed, so we left. Had basically the same food across the street at The Loop. Thanks for the water.

As I continue to search for a "me" place in Minneapolis, I made a stop at this place. It's one of those places that can easily become your neighborhood bar to go to on a Tuesday night. If I had to choose one word to describe the clientele, I wouldn't be able to do that. Every time I've been there, I've seen all types of people. It's very cozy and just perfect to hang out with friends and catch up. I hear the food is good, but I have not yet tried it, as my primary purpose when I go there is to kick back with friends, and the best way to do that is with a cold beer. I'll have to try the food though sometime to confirm the allegations that it is indeed good. Finally, don't let its outside appearance get to you. I actually like that it looks beat up from the outside, that way, the uppity snooty people turn their noses at it and stay out. I don't know what else to say about this place, just go there and find out for yourself!

  • Rachel G.

Great atmosphere - one of a kind place. Food is better than you'd think for bar food. Drinks were pricey. $13 for a pitcher of Honey Weiss!?!

A couple weeks ago I was batchin' it for the week. My good intentions of making meals at home went out the window by Tuesday night. I mean, have you ever tried to cook for one person? Cuzzy's was a lifesaver. On top of the superb bar food it seems that every person that works here is on a mission to make sure you have an awesome day. Seriously, I came here twice in a week and once I meant to just grab a burger to go and head home to sit on my couch and watch some UFC. The guys working the bar were so friendly I ended up taking my burger out of the paper bag and eating it right there. Seriously cool dudes, not something you might expect from the divey atmosphere. Did I mention that the burger and tots were pretty phenomenal? Well they were. I have yet to do any drinking here, but I've heard it gets pretty packed on game days.

I was lured in by the ghost stories. I am a sucker for a good dose of interesting. Still haven't seen the ghost, but I did find the interesting. Great little neighborhood bar! Yummy tots. Good beer selection. Fun trivia. I can sit and read the dollar bills hanging off of the walls for hours. What really makes the place for me though is Danny, the bartender. He attracts a fun group of people who grab their barstools and settle in for some conversation and socializing. I always meet interesting and nice folks at that bar. Plus, Danny helps me with trivia questions that I don't know. Thanks, man!

Checked out this place before the Twins game the other night, had a great time. The servers are friendly, but not the annoying friendly, just the efficient friendly. Despite it being a total dive bar, the food is very good! Great atmosphere before Twins game, crowded but not to the point where you are fighting for a drink. Just a laid back people, plus it's close to the 6 gate at Target Field which is considerably less busy than the main entrance off the plaza. I can totally see this becoming my new favorite pre-Twins game destination.

I am not the girl who has approximately 37 BFF's (OMG WTF!!!111!1!1!!!) so my "bachelorette" party was probably lame by most people's standards, especially since my favorite part of the night was spent in a dirty dive bar. Ahhh, they are my people. This is what we did: We went out for enchiladas. Then we went to Gluek's and had a beer because I hadn't been there since 2003 and remembered having fun there when I was an under 25-er. Then we sat at Shout House for an hour or so and watched some obese bachelorettes heave themselves on top of the pianos to be serenaded by the employees. Then I put my foot down and said I couldn't handle downtown anymore and we headed straight for Cuzzy's. We spent the rest of the night sitting on the back patio drinking Surly in a haze of cigarette smoke and cracking jokes at the expense of the The Loop patrons. This is what we didn't do: There was no screaming. There was no flashing. There were no penis napkins, necklaces or straws. I didn't kiss any strange men. No sucking for bucking and definitely no ass-shaking and rump-grinding. I thank Cuzzy's and can't wait to come back.

If you're looking for a nice sit-down dinner with a classy ambiance and beautiful swan music playing in the background, then you should head down the street to another restaurant. Cuzzy's is a dive bar...and a great one too. Come here for the dive atmosphere, nice staff and pretty good drink prices. A great winter happy hour spot. There are no windows so it's easy to forget what time of day it is if you're there for awhile.

The best dive bar in Minneapolis with thousands of dollars and a few pesos taped to the walls. It is the sort of place you feel like a regular at even if you're not. The staff is really friendly and does an awesome job. The food is really good. My favorites are the nachos (minus the lettuce), crab wednesdays, sloppy joe specials and the quesadilla is delicious and huge. I wouldn't recommend a salad, but it isn't the kind of place you'd be going if you were in the mood for one anyway. Update: This place still kicks butt

  • Ralph M.

Great little neighborhood dive bar. The kind of place that has some character. If I lived nearby, I'd be a regular. Great place to turn up late the night before Easter, and rattle on loudly about Zombie Jesus. They had pitchers of Sam (and surprisingly, the official Belgian style Sam glasses) and a waitress that made sure they didn't stay empty long. Thanks for the hangover, Cuzzy's!

    (4)
  • Caspienne W.

All I need to say is All You Can Eat Crab Legs Wednesdays for $12.99 Seriously. Who would have expected awesome crab at an awesome price at a dive bar? And coupled with a $3 PBR tall boy and fabulous potato side (fries, baked, tater tots or curly fries, you cannot go wrong), you're in heaven for a mere $16.

I love Cuzzy's. Their frighteningly Midwestern food specials are somehow delicious. I'm talkin tater-tot hot dish here people. And I would order it again. Which even to me sounds crazy. Really, it is the perfect dive bar. Great bartenders, friendly waitresses that take their jobs seriously, cool owners you can feel good about supporting, lots of local. Oh, and about $3,000 in singles covered in graffiti on the walls. The 4 stars is for the music. The owners insist on playing their personal iPods, which are loaded with music that must have been really good, at some point other than now. Seriously, it can get BAD. I'm talking Don Henley backed up by ABBA bad. Killer patio too.

  • Jesse S.

What's a dive bar doing next to all these trendy condos? Maybe it's because there's only so much of The Loop than you can handle. Instead of a fancy, expensive bar you would expect to find in the North Loop, you get Cuzzy's. The place is entertainment for eye when you first walk in. The bar is composed of thousands of dollar bills plastered on its wall and local patrons that are of the young professional kind. The big TVs can be a distraction but is awesome if you come to watch a game or the latest reality TV series of your choice. Just ask for the remote! More often than not, you will find yourself in a conversation with someone at the bar than with the person you came with. Really though, if you hang out at the bar long enough you're likely to be the recipient of a shot from a tipsy neighbor. The bartenders here are the best! They're genuine, honest, and friendly. And you're likely to come across the same ones that might remember you! How often does that happen downtown? Don't expect too much for beer and liquor selection though. They have everything you would expect from any bar but that's why you went to a dive bar, right? But they do have a Happy Hour and drinks are generally cheaper than most downtown bars. PBR Tallboys are also always $3. The food is great if you're looking for some bar food. Better than most bars and they always have a daily special going on. Their crab dinner is very good and they have great burgers! The homemade tortilla chips are also awesome. The kitchen is also *usually* open until 11 p.m. which helps your drunk night go by more smoothly. As far as parking, they now are leasing the lot next to it, which is free! There's also free street parking after 6pm, weekdays. And the best for last, the patio. Perfect place for some drinks before or after a Twins game. There are tons of tables in the back that overlook a great view of the skyline.

This is our favorite neighborhood breakfast dive. It's dark, hangover friendly and they bring a tureen of coffee to your table. Add the awesome breakfast burrito and the casual atmosphere, and you won't find a better place to eat breakfast in the neighborhood. I also love that two of us can walk out full and happy with a bill for $20 or less -- that's a huge accomplishment in the Warehouse/North Loop neighborhood!

    (4)
  • Jackie G.

I wrote an earlier more comprehensive review, but I thought I would tack on this little fun-fact: They have started having "Taco Tuesdays!" I think it's something like 3 hard shell or 2 soft shell for $3. YAY!

    (5)
  • Jen B.

Not only is Cuzzy's perfect for grabbing a drink or a burger, it can whip up a mean menu for a larger event. I had my rehearsal dinner here and it was perfect. We took over the back patio and noshed on a spread of chicken wings, hot dish, taco dip and assorted fried goodness. Carrie was amazing and took awesome care of us. The evening was a great casual compliment to the fancy (well, fancy-ish) wedding the following night. I am so going to miss this place - please come to Chicago!

  • Thaddeus S.

I like tots. My tots like tots. My tots like to stick to other tots. I like to pop them in my mouth this way. This way I get a two-fer. Kind of like a Menage a tot. Cuzzy's has the hottest tots around. They also have pretty good nacho's, burgers and daily specials. Add any one of these to a stiff drink and a dark dive atmosphere, and you have the best place to go in the north loop. Let's hope they do not spit shine the place too much for the new Twins crowds. The new bar is nice, but I hope it stops there.

    (4)
  • Tom F.

Really good food, comfortable and laid back atmosphere, friendly service, excellent beer selection. Great place before and after Twins games. Other reviews call it a dive, but it's not; it's a neighborhood tavern.

  • Veronica B.

Stopped here one night before heading over to Acme. The bartender was cool and nice. The club sandwich was pretty tasty. A little heavy on the mayo, but good. Not many other people in the bar. Will definitely stop back in again some time.

  • Meaghan N.

I consider myself somewhat of a dive bar connoisseur and I love Cuzzy's; the bartenders, the surprisingly good food (including the all-you-can-eat crab legs Wednesdays), and the dollar bills with enough character to keep a person entertained for an entire evening. Most of all, I thoroughly enjoy the randomness of the "salt of the earth" clientele. I appreciate the fact that I could get piss drunk and make all sorts of new friends. This particular dive bar has yet to become the "hip" location for suburbanites (ie Liquor Lyle's). And I hear the mushroom Swiss burger is fabulous. If you want bumping music, frat boy antics and scantily clad women - this is NOT the place. Enjoy!

  • Brien G.

Nice and divey--just the way I like it. Better food than you'd think, and the staff has always been great. I lived/worked in that neighborhood for years and Cuzzy's was always a great standby.

  • Carolyn E.

Let me tell you a story about nachos. Cuzzy's has huge nachos, they will feed 4 people. The menu doesn't say that cheese is on the nachos but there is more cheese than you can imagine. The food is cheap and is very standard (burgers, quesadillas, fried stuff) as are the drinks. Cuzzy's boasts fancy signed dollars on the walls. Additionally, they have a barrel fire in the back during cold months so the smokers don't get frostbite along with their lung cancer. It definitely leans toward dive on the dive === trendy scale, but it's fairly clean and worth visiting.

    (3)
  • Michelle W.

Great beer, cheap prices. What more can someone ask for. The scene is fun, but definitely of the dive variety. It's great for an afterwork drink when you don't want to try to look cute and just need to drink away a bad day.

    (4)
  • Diana M.

fun atmosphere and good fried food. stuff is probably mostly frozen but what do you expect? They've got a good sized parking lot and we were hungry after a long and tiring kayaking trip. got fried fish, curly fries, buffalo chicken wrap, and beer. waitress was quite nice and the place was a good addition to our MN trip!

  • Tim K.

Dined for lunch on the outdoor patio. Walked through the inside... Definitely a dive. I'm not typically a fan of dives, but I can appreciate. Was greeted with hellos and smiles by three staff on our way to the patio. The service was fast and friendly. Very, very good, actually. I ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger and added lettuce, tomato & onion. It was big, it was juicy, it was good and it hit the spot. BOTTOM LINE: If you're looking for a "gastronomical experience", move on. However, if you dig a dive, a good burger, friendly service, and a fun atmosphere at a fair price, this is it.

    (3)
  • Matt M.

Really dig Cuzzys. There's a lot to love here-- the divey vibe, the fact that you can stop in here post-fancy cocktails at a North Loop hotspot for a good ol' beer, the dollar bills all over the walls, the relatively cheap for North Loop prices. They have some really good burgers (one time I sat at the bar and watched the Crossfit Games, enjoying burgers and wings in an act of self pity #becauseimworthit). I really enjoy going here as a stop before we head somewhere crazy like Club Jäger (thumbs up) or The Loop (thumbs down), because you can actually find a seat and carry a conversation. Service is always really friendly, even on the busy weekends. Every time I'm drunk here I feel the need to order the tater tots, which are like five bucks and could probably feed a family of five. Seriously, this is a mountain of MN spud goodness. If you haven't been to Cuzzy's yet, I would definitely recommend it. As North Loop gets yuppier and yuppier, Cuzzy's remains it's own special place.

dollars are lame, but guess it's retirement for the owner. solid food & service. other patrons are very chill/friendly. recommendation to try cuzzys came from the bartender at fulton brewery, so you know the place had to be good. Wooden laminate bar with no rail. Large black padded barstools with no back support. Enough TVs to watch the big game.

    (4)
  • Dustin H.

Cuzzy's is not only a fantastic dive bar, but it also pushes out a shocking amount of quality food. And yes, I do use the word "quality" loosely. From tater tots, to burger meat clearly prepared from prepacked meat tubes, you'd expect the food to be bad but for whatever reason, it's not! The burgers are DELICIOUS and perfectly cooked to order, and the service is welcoming and friendly even if you're not a regular. Cuzzy's has been pushing out quality drinks and food for a long time, and I hope they are around forever. For whatever it's worth, for what they are pushing out, it's perfect. Great drinks, and great food at a reasonable price. One star just for the dollar bill encrusted walls and atmosphere.

  • Patrick O.

Cuzzy's has to be one of the more unusual bars we've seen in quite awhile. But actually it was a fun place. Very much a sports bar with lots of TV's going with anything to do with NHL/NCAA hockey & NBA/NCAA basketball. The really great thing tho was that the hype we'd heard about their hamburgers & fries was well deserved. And the service was great. Never saw the bottom of anything we were drinking. But the burgers, those were REALLY good. All kinds of clever names for a big selection of different burgers to choose from. Ours were excellent. They were good sized but my wife and I both finished ours off which is unusual for us. We're long past woofing our food down in world record time. These burgers were well worth going slow with. Great bar & burger place. Better than most for sure. And don't forget to closely check out their wallpaper.....

Stopped in after a Twins game. Great dive bar vibe, but good table service. Beers were not that cheap, though. $13 for a weird squat pitcher of Coors Light (is that even 64oz?) and maybe $6 for a pint of fancier stuff. Food was alright.

One of my favorite burgers in town. Highly recommend the house burger with tots. Great staff!

  • Clare S.

Thumbs up from the dive-seekers. Cuzzy's is an awesome place to hang out. Definitely a dive bar, but typically with plenty of seating for groups. What makes it great is its location - it's in north loop area, which has a bunch of trendy/hip places. Sometimes you need to escape from the dudes with cooler haircuts than you and hang with some normal guys in plain white tees. Definitely good for a relaxed hang out with friends, but if you're looking for something more rowdy, you're better off going somewhere like the Loop/Tangiers.. if you're looking for something more trendy/hip, you're better off going to some place like Marvel.

One of the best dive bars in MPLS! The food is delicious and the menu has options for everyone. There drinks are served strong too. I would eat at Cuzzys everyday if I could (I'd get too fat).

Why can I not appreciate a dive bar? Everyone else seems to love Cuzzy's. I just see a dark and dreary place, a cave plastered with doodled-up dollar bills, that could use some cheering up. I will complement the server, who didn't seem like the most personable young woman initially, but she was thoughtful and attentive. I was not drinking and she thought to bring me a glass of water without requiring a request.

Got Crabs? Our little hidden gem of the cities! Don't let the run-down, dolla billz steer you from trying their menu out. On Wednesdays, they offer a crab legs special, and take it from this crabby conisseour, it's delish! $14 will get you 3 big legs, side salad and potato choice. FYI: Post Twins game this spot gets packed so be prepared to share tables with radnoms, but that just makes your Cuzzy's experience even better! Next up for me...Taco Tuesdays!

We love the food at Cuzzy's and it's a great dive bar, but it's SO dark and small inside. And don't get me wrong, I'm all about dive bars. But for some reason I just don't love going here unless it's nice enough to sit outside on the patio.

Local dive bar done right. I did not eat, but I enjoyed this place for what it is. The cool stair stepped bar, the dollar bills covering walls and ceiling, the friendly and fast bar tender. I was there waiting for my hubby who had an interview across the street. During my wait I saw a people in hoodies, and people in suits. Every one seemed comfortable. No one looked out of place. I say gather some friends have a beer and enjoy.

Great place to drink, it's a hole in the wall bar in a neighborhood full of trendy cocktail places. Their tap selection isn't anything to get excited about, but they have some good local crafts as well as the millers of the world. The foods good. I've been most impressed with the burgers, but the rest of it's not bad. Don't come here expecting anything fancy though, it's greasy as all hell, but sometimes that's exactly what you want. Also, they have a patio in back.

A friend and I were here a couple weeks ago for lunch on a Saturday. We were hungry and I said I wanted a "pub burger & fries." Unfortunately (although I didn't know it at the time) I was coming down with a cold, so I only wound up having a few bites of my burger before I felt full. On the plus side: our waitress was attentive, the food is reasonably priced, and you pay the same price if you order the curly fries! The only negative comment I would make is that the length of the bar runs on a slight downward incline, but most people probably don't notice it because the drop in grade is so slight.. I will definitely return to Cuzzy's in the future, 'cuz he's got a nice place.

This place is the best! My fiancé and I come here at least once a week. The staff is awesome, drinks good and food much tastier than you'd expect at a dive. Cuzzy's is a nice change from the fancier places going in around the neighborhood.

Cuzzys is quickly becoming one of the best dives in Mpls., partly due to their prime location, partly to the other dives closing down.. fun staff and crowd. Check out the patio when's it's nice out!

First time here. Verdict: awesome burger, fun atmosphere, good beer selection. I had the house burger and it was delicious. The alfalfa sprouts were a unique touch.

This TOTALLY hit the stop for breakfast. The omelette was massive! The service was absolutely terrible though.....otherwise it would have been 5 stars

The best burger I've ever had was at a posh restaurant in Chicago for $22 bucks. Hadn't come across any burger in the States or abroad in my travels as delicous as that one...until now. The SOB burger at Cuzzy's is the BEST burger in Minneapolis. Period. So many taverns, beer halls, and divey places in Minneapolis charge $12 and up for burgers nowadays...which is absolutely insane. But, Cuzzy's charges $7-$8 for their burgers(which includes plentiful sides)! How about that? A more than reasonable price. Can I get an, Hallelujah?! The exception is the $23 burger -but you get a whole lot for what you pay for. That burger is supposedly huge, the size of your head I imagine?! Have not yet been brave enough to order that one, I'm in the North Loop daily so I often frequent Cuzzy's for lunch. The ladies there always take great care of their customers and do their job well! Never a wrong order, never a slow pace, and never a snafu to come up. The crowd is a mix of construction workers, cops, and the local creative professionals in the area. The green building and the red Cuzzy's sign makes it stand out.If Homer Simpson were real, Cuzzy's would be his stomping grounds.

Just had one of their signature items, the cuzzy's dip. You would think it would be more than just meat on bread with bland au jus. Great service, friendly atmosphere, bad French dip.

Great place! Very decent beer selection, reasonable prices, and a really great staff. What surprisingly sets this place apart though is the food! Crab legs on Wednesday are definitely worth it. Menu is fairly typical bar fare but everything I've had is way above average! So beer, food, friendly staff...what more could this guy want? Well maybe a window in the bar or a level floor...but hey, lets not get too picky! Great dive bar!!!! Gotta love Cuzzys!

I was in MPLS for a few days to check out Target Field and this is pretty much what i had everyday for breakfast. Solid place. Breakfast is as advertised. Full bar. I went here in the summer and I'm writing this in January when its likely cold as shit there, but this seems like it would be a good spot to hibernate during a punishing MN winter...

Thoroughly enjoyed it. Went here with a group of guys (8) before a Twins game, and we found a table immediately. The vibe here is exactly what we wanted: friendly staff, hopping atmosphere, and decorated $1 bills strewn all over the walls - a cool touch. We ordered up a couple appetizers - buffalo wings and onion rings. The wings had a nice zip to them and were doused in sauce. The onion rings were phenomenal. All 8 of us ordered up burgers, and no one walked away hungry (or discontented). I had the "House Burger", which was absolutely massive. All the burgers are 1/2 pound, so you don't get cheated here. Mine had fried onions, alfafa sprouts, lettuce and tomato, and their "special sauce", which was generously spread over the burger. So good. Only minor complaint was the Top 40 Hits being played on the speakers were so loud as to make conversation difficult. They have a cool patio in back as well - it was busy, but not packed. A happy medium. I want to go back to try some of the other items on the menu, because there is a lot of variety (sandwiches, salads, even daily specials).

Yeah, I love Cuzzy's. Their drinks are strong and very well priced. The servers are sweet and on their game. They serve Fulton and Bender. I'm more of a pitcher of Coors kind of girl, though, when I'm drinking here. The food: I can't say enough. Their bleu cheese and mushroom burger rocks my world, as do their tots. And honestly? You're not going to find a place with better bar food. A personal favorite is their skinny dip-basically taco dip...in a bar. I love it. They also have a sizeable Tex-Mex section to their menu, and it includes their quesadilla, which is about the size of the Hulk's forearm, but a whole lot more delicious. There is no better place to get your drink/snack/breakfast/lunch/dinner on in the North Loop.

I'm going to keep this simple. The menu is fun. The staff is top-notch and as nice as can be. The atmosphere is divey but very respectable--lots of history. They have perhaps the best breakfast downtown Minneapolis. They have daily, delicious specials not on the menu. And they take care of their customers. I am never disappointed when I stop in. Look out for the regulars. And Betsy, the ghost.

When the Beau comes back from the bathroom utterly disgusted, I got the impression that this place is filthy. And when I became violently ill mere hours after eating the mountain of lettuce they call nachos, I was certain the place was filthy. I'm sure it has it's positives, and clearly I'm in the minority here. But I don't feel like compromising my intestinal fortitude again. Sorry Cuzzy's - you're too scuzzy for me!

Cuzzy's is located directly north of Deja Vu in the Warehouse district. I haven't spent much time past First Ave, so I was a little scared that I was going to get lost. However, it is in plain view on Washington Ave N. You can't miss it! The place is small, but it feels comfortable. You immediately get the feeling that you've been there before and that you belong. The service is quick and everyone is smiling. The waitresses actually appear to enjoy their jobs. Yelp's Happy Hour was here, so I was able to spend a good amount of time with like-minded people. Our only complaint was that the AC was turned up a little too high. the only other "problem" was that at the time they were training a new waitress, so we sometimes ended up with double drinks. But as far as I can tell, the double rounds didn't show up on our bill. I will definitely return and bring friends if I find myself in need of a non-watered down, cheap drink and good company in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. We went on a Tuesday, so I am not sure how this works, but Happy Hour ended at 6pm. I'd assume it starts at 4pm. The food is hit or miss. We found the chicken nachos to be OK. I thought my chili was excellent.

Cuzzy's is the perfect neighborhood booze joint. A little kitschy, good sized "patio" in the back, good pours, decent food, and good bartenders. I avoid it on Twins game days - just like everywhere in the North Loop - but otherwise it's a great place to hit up any night of the week.

Cuzzy's is my other home. The staff is great and the drinkers are fantastic. Many a nights have I stumbled here for a last call before heading home. There is no excuse to go home hungry during breakfast, lunch or dinner. Taco Tuesday is my favorite day of the week. Good taco's go down even better with a cold beer. Call some friends and turn it into a regular thing. Sure people call it a dive bar but being from northern Wisconsin it's just like home.

This is a good little downtown dive and adds some variety to the more higher-end North Loop. You'll immediately notice the diversity of clientele from blue-collar to white and everything in between. The $1 decor is basically there to cover the drab walls and is fun to look at: I even found a Spongebob dollar bill. I was surprised there was no Grainbelt of any kind on draught and beer prices (outside of happy hour) weren't all that divey: $5 for a Summit EPA. I found it interesting that on either side of me at the bar that patrons were digging into crab legs legs: didn't expect to see that scene outside of New England, that's for sure. I wasn't that hungry and just got a half order of tots, which were OK but a bit too salty, but whatever, they're tots. Everyone was eating an entree of some kind, so I'll probably give the real food a try sometime. Then there was the conversation between a regular and one of the bartenders about living forever in a computer chip when we have the technology, but when to finally pull the plug. Well, I think this has to say something about the quality of the bar and locals who frequent it for this to be my first random visit on an early weeknight evening. It even beat some (but not all) NE dives I've yelped.

Best things about this bar are the attentive bartender and the drink selection, and the dollar bills all over the wall with stuff written on them. Worst thing is the cleanliness. Kind of sticky. But hey, it's a dive bar.

Cuzzy's is like another dimension of bar. You'll notice what looks like a Fazoli's sign. You enter this Cuzzy's dimension under that sign. There are dollar bills padding the whole windowless interior, the servers are typically awesome and their bar food (tater tots!) is surprisingly excellent. Especially when you've spent your afternoon day-drinking. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner 'til relatively late and Fulton on tap. I've also been known to enjoy the patio out back, which ('nother surprise) comes with a skyline view. It's really the last vestige of dive in the North Loop. Cuzzy's, if you are listening, I'm gonna need you to stay open forever.

Cute little dive bar with dollars all over the wall! The bathroom stalls are a tight squeeze, so if you are claustrophobic - you might want to avoid this! They have decent beers on tap and besides the dollars, the decorations are a little sparse. We didn't eat here, but would like to come back and try it - the menu looks awesome! Not your typical burger and fries and not a whole lot else type food - one of the sanwiches was a ham with brie and apples served with tator tots. Yum.

Four stars if you go for happy hour and like dive bars! Downtown can be a little too pricey for me and a little too high-heeled, so having Cuzzy's as an option is like my happy thought that can send me flying into their doors for a cheap rum and coke. Nachos aren't anything to write home about, but are huge so it's a people pleaser!
