Used to come here years ago when in the mood for a burger. With number of new places south of the river, it has been several years. It will likely be many more before i come back. One thing to their credit is they always have something going on, whether it is all you can eat ribs, bingo, or a fish fry. Tonight though, I passed on the oversauced over cooked ribs and opted for a burger. Well both my wife and mines burger was over done. It is so easy to get a good burger now days, there is no need to come here and hope for the best. The waitresses were very nice, no problem there. Just a bad product. Oh yeah, the beer menu is embarassing too. I realize much of the local crowd wants their bud, bud light, micholob golden light, miller, miller lite, coors light, but i am guessing that if they added a few really good craft beers, they could rake in some extra cash. But then again, with the food they are offering, maybe not.

For bar food you cannot go wrong, specials everyday so check the website. Service is less than desirable, very slow! But if you know that going in, it works.

Got here at 1pm and it wasn't very busy, but the service was still really bad!!! I can tell that they are understaffed, but on top of that the waitresses they do have are not attentive. Food took a little over an hour to get (for a club sandwich & fries) but I will say the food was good. That's the only reason I gave them 2 stars. Super slow service!!!!!

Wednesday All you can eat ribs are the bomb! Three rib choices, Carolina Honey, smokey and original. All ribs were meaty, tender and so delicious. Got here at about 8pm and there were few seats left. Service was good and friendly.

Super busy. Great service. Don't be in a hurry. This is a hometown downtown place. Have a beverage, cool your jets. Outstanding salads, delicious burgers. It's ok if it's not a national chain. It's much better.

Hot spot, if there is one, in Lakeville. Good for music, dancing, bar games, etc. As far as food, it's just been ok. I definitely have my favorite here, a hot beef sandwich that is only served during lunch. Brunch was ok; nothing great. In complete transparency, I'm not a buffet person. Good place to watch a game! Fun place for an adult b-day party.

Girlfriend and I decided to stop in to watch the PHL vs ATL game and have a beer or two. We were going to sit in the bar at a booth but, the floor was so dirty we decided to sit at the bar instead. Every time I would ask for a beer or if they could change the channel to the game our blonde haired bartender acted like we were putting her out. I would not recommend this place unless you want to be treated like your not welcomed. There are plenty of places to choose from and in the future I will choose not going here. Don't waste your time and money.

I was at this bar last evening to watch a friend's daughter perform. I was sitting at a table and a blond server approached me and I asked her if their was a special on Miller Lite bottles, she said she didn't know. I asked her if she could check, she returned a few minutes later and said yes their was. We decided to move to a table over where we could see the stage a little better. I asked the same blond server if the new table was in her section,she said yes. I asked if she could wipe it off, it had a beverage spilled on it, that's when things went wrong. This young lady rolled her eyes at me and gave me serious attitude. I asked her what the problem was, We just wanted to have our table wiped off. She continued with the attitude, so I asked her to get her manager. I saw her approach the manager, so I asked him if he was the manager, he said he was but wanted to talk to her first. When he came out to talk to me he didn't seem to concerned about what had transpired with his employee. I told him all I asked her was can she wipe off our table and she gave me serious attitide. He told me, my server told him I swore at her, which was a lie. He also said, "She's the most mature server I got". I haven't come across such an unfriendly and rude server in many years, and have management say to me, "Well what do you want from me?" I almost just walked out, but I was there to show support for a friend. My next visit is planned for when Hell freezes over. This bar in my opinion is a Dive, the last place you go if your desperate. And I approve this message.

Nice sports bar, waitress was clueless of the beers on tap or if they were dark...hehehe Food was good went for steaknight Thursdays $9.99 tried the rib app was good. Try it out!

Service is poor and food is just ok.... and don't EVER have a large party of people there for a meal, as they will be under staffed even if you give them a weeks notice! The manager has little to be desired with his I don't care if you ever come back attitude. (and yes he has told people this before) You would hope a local sports bar would treat the locals who keep this place a float a little better.

Was back again last week for another party for a friend. Couldn't flag down a waitress with a hundred dollar bill. The regulars are treated well but if they don't know you you might as well forget it. Just like before, the two that finally got one of the waitresses to stop and give them a beer were treated to a 20% tip automatically added to their bill because there were more then 10 sitting at the table... even though all the rest had to go beg the bartender to serve them.

I have eaten there about 15 times and used to enjoy the food and service. Recently it seems like there is more of a focus to hire 90 pound cute wait staff with no serving skills than to provide the guest with quality service. The last 4 visits have been so bad that my family has asked to go elsewhere.

Babe's is one of the few places I've walked in to that brings the phrase "you're not from around these parts, are ya?" to mind. I've been here two separate times - once during lunch and once during dinner....and both times I walked in the door and saw everyone put their drink down, turn around, and stare. Talk about awkward....and all I wanted was some food. Moving on. On my first visit with my boyfriend and his mom, we were seated in the bar area. NEVER allow them to seat you there during dinner! During the dinner rush it seemed that there was no server assigned to tables in the bar, so we were the responsibility of the bartender. 10 minutes until we got menus, another 20 until we were able to order, 30 more until I flagged the bartender down and asked if she had put in our order yet because we were about to leave. She responded with "Yeah, I put it in just now." Despite her lack of motivation to feed the hungry diners in the bar, we eventually got our food and I have to say it was enjoyable. I'm not generally a fan of fish of any kind, but the fish and chips were delicious. Not too greasy, terrific light breading. On to visit number 2. Excellent service this time around, even in the bar area. Clearly fully staffed that day. While waiting for our food, I felt brave enough to venture over to the popcorn machine in the bar (since there were fewer people staring)....I was disappointed to find it had been under the heat lamps for far too long and 80% of it was burned. Bummer. I'm still on the fence about Babe's. I think the waffle fries will keep me coming back for more.

My husband and I went there last night with a group. I wanted so very bad to LOVE this place as it's close and has a terrific patio. We had a new waitress so we expected some learning. Unfortunately she wasn't interested in learning customer service. I ordered a bottled drink off the menu and she came back twice to confim what I wanted and I showed her the menu. Little speed bump - no problem. Except when she brought it back it was a mixed drink, ok, that's fine so I brought it up to the bar to correct. Bar tender seemed confused as well. Had the steak special and expected it to be a little tough since it was sirloin. It was a real challenge to cut and eat. Wish they would have tenderized it first as it was the special. Beer was warm (heard other tables complaining too) food was cold when it reached the table. Appetizer was served with meal and you could tell it was the last item made since it was smoking hot. Never saw original waitress until she brought us the bill (others brought us the food). Bill was incorrect and when we tried to explain it to her she shrugged her shoulders and said "oh". All had to do with the drink order - she said, "yeah, I know that." Paid it anyway as too tired and disappointed to continue. However, I would go back for the deep fried pickles (our appetizer) as they were delish and had their brisket at Taste of Lakeville and that was good there. Hoping for more than we got. :( Update: Babe's has offered us another chance to come back and try it again. We will definitely try it out. This is great customer care and I will update when it happens.

I have tried and tried to give Babe's a chance because I like to support local independent restaurants and it's less than 2 miles from my house. However, last night was the final straw. Service has always been very hit or miss and it always seems to be terrible if you are seated in the "restaurant" side of the establishment. It's almost like a black hole and you are completely ignored. Last night my husband and I went to Babes with our friends around 7pm to watch the Wild game. It was fairly busy and we decided to sit at one of the high-tops in the restaurant area right behind the host stand. The host, who was a young teenage boy, saw us sit down and proceeded to ignore us. After sitting there for about 5 minutes without being acknowledged a bartender walked by and asked if we had been "greeted" yet and she said she would send someone over right away. During this time the manager, who is there every time I have gone, is walking around chatting with the locals and noticed our table not being greeted but didn't approach us. After waiting another 5-10 minutes and not one staff member acknowledging us we walked out and went to another local bar, Goodfellas, where we were greeted before we even had a chance to sit down. Sorry Babe's, you have now lost our business.

The service at Babes always has been, and continues to be, HORRIBLE. My family has been trying to give this place a second, and now third chance over the last two years. No change, though. Food is average at best. The big draw here is the roadhouse bar type atmosphere for drinkers and bikers. Management and ownership must be asleep at the wheel, since staff is young and inexperienced, the food meh, and despite the investment in a new patio last year, the main building is a wreck.

Terrible appetizers, beer was so flat and tasted really bad. I have NEVER seen a bar that would dare to serve beer this flat and charge for it. The appetizers were awful. This place needs new ownership or management or something. It seems like they don't give a crap about what they serve.
