Great Mexican! Bring your appetite, huge portions! Clean fun atmosphere too. Friendly staff. It's a smaller place so it would probably not be great for groups of more than 8-10 people. Reasonably priced; most entrees are going to be less than $10. HUGE PORTIONS!
We had a craving for some good Mexican food and this place hit the spot! Great to be able to get Mexican food in town. I had the Carne Asada tacos and a Margarita, both were excellent. Service was great also. We will return for sure.
Stopped in for takeout after a long bicycle ride. The special was a pork burrito. It was excellent. The chips are spectacular and the salsa is homemade. I would definitely go back! Great family-run place!

Mixed drinks--I doubt that they contain any alcohol at all. I have to agree with the previous reviewer about the drinks at the Railhouse Grill in Lake City. I don't drink very often and am a lightweight. I have one drink with dinner and know it. Hit this place for dinner and had THREE drinks in the course of an hour and a half (note drink prices are NOT on the menu that I could see) and ... nothing. They tasted great, but were they Kool-Aid?
Excellent burgers, fries, shaved onions, walley fritters, salad- it was all yummy! Great service, wish we lived closer to visit more often! 5 stars all the way!!
Always been really happy with the service and food. Good micro-brew beer, great atmosphere, what more can you ask for.

If you haven't had the Sunday Family style, for $ 11.50, your missing the best value in the area.. Scrambled Eggs, sausage, ham, hashbrowns, fruit plate and a great cinnamon roll.. Try it you'll like it! Did I mention All you can eat.. kids under 5 free!!
Unable to accommodate those with dietary restrictions on a Sunday morning. Limited menu options. Unfortunate. Anyone should be able to make an egg white omelet or make a salad. We came with a large group. I sat and sipped my coffee while everyone else enjoyed their food. I'll remember this. I just finished a 2 mile swim across Lake Pepin for our annual group swim = hungry. Only giving a one star since I can't give it a zero. Waitress while friendly made no effort to try and accommodate my dietary needs. Ambiance of the restaurant was nice. That's all I have.
Great cute place for breakfast or lunch. Homemade goodness. Hidden gem. The breakfast sample is huge and you get a bit of everything. Eggs. 3 meats. Biscuit. Pancake. Fruit. Hash browns. Wow! Homemade caramel rolls on Saturday.

Rabbit’s Bakery

Reviews:
My encounter with Rabbit's Bakery was an accident, the kind of delightful happenstance that makes for a special vacation memory. My wife and I stumbled upon Rabbit's while hunting for a lunch spot in Lake City after a long drive. The experience begins when you walk through the door. There, in the back, a bright fire in the hearth of the wood fired oven. Cooling racks show off the day's production of loaves while the muffins and scones and cakes make a home in the bakery case. The "dining room" is tiny, not more than a few tables in front of the bakery counter; the staff, the afternoon we ate there, were the owners. The service was polite and unobtrusive. The star here is the food. My wife and I were able to split a huge roast beef sandwich and a petite cup of soup. The sandwich, served on the bakery's birdseed bread, was amazing. First, the bread was soft and crusty, full of flavor -- simple without being austere. Then, the filling is built on a bed of whole-seed mustard, piled with almost too much of the house roasted, thin shaved beef, tamarind sauce and onions and peppers. Perhaps it was the surprise or the company or the way the light hit the water of Lake Pepin, but this may have been the best roast beef sandwich I have ever put in my mouth. The cream of asparagus soup was served in a formal coffee cup, the flavor was sweet and vegetal. The portion size was perfect. I will definitely make Rabbit's a regular stop when I'm in the area. A local gem that is a must-stop for anyone vacationing on the lake.

Old Bank the

100 S Washington St

Reviews:
seemed like a pretty rowdy bar full of local regulars that don't care much for fresh meat invading their space. So if you enjoy having a bar fight once in awhile this is the place to do it. The night I was there they had a parade in town and some club from the cities was there called the vulcans and they were all these old men dressed up with titles and for some reason the local ladies were acting as if bret michaels rolled into town to cast some new gals for rock of love. There was a small altercation and some words thrown back and forth --The guys in our group decided it was time to hustle their ladies out of here and we retreated to a calmer more lazy drinking environment. You probably won't dig this place unless you live in Lake City..
I love this place. It is an old bank converted to a bar and grill. Real convenient to boating and biking in Lake City. This is a hamburger/fries/onion rings kinda place. Super nice people working and the clientele is friendly, laid back and capable of pretty interesting conversations about living on Lake Pepin. Check out the woodwork and the old bank vault. Think you'll like this place
If your looking for a great burger and ice cold drink, This is a great place to try! Everyone is friendly and the service is great. Located close to the Mississippi which makes it convenient if your boating.

We were in town for the MN State baseball subsection playoffs. Our first choice was the Railhouse grill but it was closed that day. I heard this was a close second so we gave it a try. The service was slow especially given the few people inside. But that ends the bad marks. The burger and fries were served as ordered and piping hot. Not a bad second choice and worth a try if you are in downtown.
In town for Business and wanted a nice sit down supper. Not only was the staff friendly , the food was amazing! I had the steak philly and probably one of the best ones I've had. I would definitely go back!
Good Walleye fingers, but bar staff were not willing to play the biggest soccer match of the year on just one of their 4 TVs. I recommend going to Railhouse instead!
