I like the burgers and malts. Fun malt shop atmosphere. The service is so-so, but I've definitely had worse. The malts are really good.

Oh my. The burger I just are is still being processed. It was so good! I had a coupon and got two burgers. Both were hot and fresh and tasted delish. I would highly recommend the southwest burger. It's got bacon Swiss and BBQ sauce and a nice soft hot bun. The plaza burger was good too with sautéed onions and chive sour cream on a very tasty and soft rye bun. Wish I had tried the fries and namesake shakes but I'll be going back so I'll try em out next time. By the way, each burger is anywhere from $4-8 fries at $2.50 and shakes at $4.50 for a full

Cute little diner tucked away in Edina. The prices were dirt cheap! And the food was pretty tasty. I'd recommend the Fudge-Scotchie malt. It was absolutely scrumptious!

Never disappointed, great American fare. Always have a phosphate & hubby has a shake.

Coming in from Chicago for a tournament for my son, we all wanted a quick yet tasty meal. First went to a pizza place called Lola. 1 hour and 10 minute wait! Then we went to a burger place called Red Cow...1 hour wait! Lol. Snuffies is about 2 miles away from red cow so we went there instead. Very nice people...50's dinner look to the place. Snuffies is in a strip plaza that has seen better days...but Snuffies itself was cute. Simply awesome burgers at sane prices. I had the jalapeño bacon bleu cheese burger...great. Son had Snuffies burger...wolfed it down. We shared a peanut butter malt (half sized) speaking of malts...they have at least a dozen varieties that all sounded fantastic. (Almost got the apple pie malt...or the dreamcicle) Idk what your time is worth...but for the hour saved...we were very happy campers during our visit to Snuffies. If we lived closer than 7 hours away...we'd go again for sure.

I have been to the Edina location a couple of times and I was not impressed. The first time I came I ordered a cheese steak and chili cheese fries. The fries were average, the chili was actually quite good though. I also like how they brought sour cream, jalapenos and onions with it. Unfortunately my cheese steak was horrible. It tasted like a salt lick. It was so bad that I could not finish it. I have a feeling they added even more seasoning to an already over seasoned piece of frozen bulk sandwich steak. The second time I went I got a burger and a the chili fries again. I got my burger but my fries never came. The burger was not anything to write home about. Pretty average, maybe a little on the dry side. It took me asking twice for my fries before they came. Not only was this annoying but it also made my lunch break longer than it should have been. In all malts are adequate, main courses average to below, and the chili fries (when you get them) are pretty good. I probably will not be returning.

Stars go to their veggie burger!! Chenab and good, a real veggie burger not just vegetables on a bun, served with dill sauce

Good food, friendly people. A neighborhood classic. Highly recommended for a simple meal from a bygone era.

The food was great way more then I thought I was going to get. Chili cheese fries enough for 3 people. The malts are really good also. It was a real nice place bringing the old fashioned back with phosphate sodas.

When you just want a damn burger and shake and you want it to cost less than what you're paid per hour, you need to get your funky self to Snuffy's. The food is just like you expect it to be, as are the formica and red stick-to-your-thighs booths, and everything is very pleasant in a predictable way. The biggest surprise here is how together the teenage staff is! They are all clearly very young, but conduct themselves professionally and with poise, and make the experience really lovely.

It's a good ol' fashioned MALT shop...not burger shop, or food shop. Stop whining about the food, it's about the malts. Neapolitan malt, hands down.

This is a MALT shop - first and foremost. The malts deserve 5-stars. This is a place to bring kids. And yes, there will be kids there when you go, so if you don't want to hear them squealing with delight as they guzzle malts or after they win a piece of candy while playing the "Challenger", you shouldn't go. The Snuffy Burger is pretty good, but I would suggest skipping the fries and getting the larger malt in their place. After all, it's the malts that will bring you back here time and again.

Snuffy's is one of those places where you go because you heard it was good... Then you go again... And again... Then, before you know it, you are a regular. The place sneaks up on you and becomes "that place" to scratch "that need". The need, of course, being a burger & a shake. The burgers are fantastic. Fried hard with cheese and a bun - Done. Sometimes they will fry the bun and sometimes they won't but if you specifically tell them to fry the bun and you have the ideal diner-burger. The onion rings are right up there on the list of best in the area. Certainly the best in Edina. The fries are nothing special yet we always finish them. To this point you have a run-of-the-mill-burger joint with a better-than-average burger and a nifty old-school ambiance. Whatever, right? No. Get a shake. Snuffy's calls them malts. I can't taste the malted milk so I'm going to stick with the term "shakes". Regardless, this place makes one kick-butt shake. Plain and simple, rockstar-good shakes. The banana-strawberry shake is tremendous.

Great shakes (not really malts), great onion rings, and good burgers. Despite having a very young staff, the service was really good and they covered each other well (and seemed to still manage to have fun at work). This place is not too far from my house and I never knew it was there. I'll probably be back once in a while now that I know.

Sarah P. is correct in her review that the food option leave much to be desired, but the MALTS. Holy cow. I'm going to go ahead and say that this is the go-to place for a great malt. They have so many flavor options and the quality is great, plus it served in the classic fashion -- full with the extra cup on the side that the malt was mixed in. My favorite? Brownie. Yummy yums, it should be illegal. This was the place my parents would take us after we did well at piano recitals, so I will always have that memory attached to Snuffy's, but that doesn't change the fact that the malts are the best around.

Snuffy's, I had high hopes, but Snuffy's you made me sniffle with sadness at your just plain bad chili fries, soggy grilled cheese, overcooked onion rings, and mediocre hamburger. The only thing that turned my frown upside down was the truly yummy Neapolitan malt. mmmm.

This is such a nostalgic place - the 50's decor, the malts, the burgers ... The burgers are really greasy, the fries are thick-cut, greasy, and salty. The malts are excellent. A full malt is enough for 2 servings or you can just split it with someone. This is a great place to visit with the kids in the summer.
