I have a feeling that Mexico Lindo and I are going to become fast friends. I had lunch here this past weekend and was delighted in every possible way. They easily have the best patio in town, which perches right over Lake Superior. Watching sailboats while sipping margaritas - what could be better? They also have a great vegetarian selection. I had the veggie fajitas, which were the best I have had that didn't come from my own kitchen. Their chips are nice and crispy and their salsa is quite tasty (although mild). If you like things on the spicier side, request a side of their habanero hot salsa - yum! They serve beers so large that the mind boggles as to how they could be consumed in one sitting after eating the inevitable too many chips. Even their medium sized beers are huge - and reasonably priced. The service was friendly and prompt and although I didn't dine inside, from walking through it looks quite inviting. Mexico Lindo, I'll be seeing you again very soon and very often!

I ate at Mexico Lindo last week for lunch and it does have a great view but that is all. Really terrible food. The salsa tasted like tomato sauce out of a can with a little something, something thrown in. The guacamole salad (which I believe was around $3.50-$3.75 was a huge mound of shredded lettuce, a couple of small slices of tomato and a dollop of guacamole. The cheese enchiladas with green sauce had very little green sauce - a little bit placed under the enchiladas. The beans were so unbelievably bad that it is hard to explain what they were - very watery and hardly a bean in site. There was something in the "beans" - a small amount of ground up meat of some type. The food had no seasoning at all. I am sorry I didn't send back this food and leave. I live in an area that is full of good authentic Mexican restaurants and I have to say this is the worst Mexican restaurant I have ever ate at. Somebody needs to give these people some real Mexican food competition in downtown Duluth or Canal Park. I know they have been around for a long time and that do not really have any competition but that is no excuse for this way below mediocre food.

My guy and I were visiting Duluth for 2 days and we had a "hankering" for Mexican food for dinner and this place was recommended to us by a local. We were greeted right away by a polite and professional hostess who fulfilled our request for a booth by the windows, which overlook Lake Superior - amazing views. Our server was great, he never rushed us, although it took us a while to decide on what to eat, the menu is quite large. Our food, although not outstanding, was served hot and fresh and I found to be just what I needed for "my Mexican fix". ( I had ordered a mixed fajita dish. ) Throughout our meal, our server kept an eye on us to see if our beverages needed refilling, if we needed more salsa, et cetera - bonus points for a good gratuity from me, as I've worked in the food and beverage industry for waaaaaay too many years!! The restaurant was clean, the staff attentive and professional, the food fine - the only thing I really DIDN'T like was the wall color, black - which can look cool on other interiors, but gave me the feeling of a "cave"...no biggie. We had an enjoyable time and found it to be a pleasant experience.
