CUTE CUTE CUTE One Apple Fritter here could feed a family of four. Not kidding. It is all about the Fritters. I like their coffee, and a couple of other pastries. Other than that I'M not all that jazzed about everything else. Although the Cranberry Walnut bread is good. I ordered some specialty items here for my daughter's baby shower and was deeply disappointed. Next time I will know better. A P P L E F R I T T E R W O R L D
Great food, small town place. I had a meat pasty with gravy and my sister had the pulled pork sandwich. Sooo yummy! It's a bakery/old fashion sandwich place. The cases of bakery delicacies were boundless. Order food at the counter and find a seat with your food on a lunch tray. Home style, fresh. Only negative I could say was the price for a small soda was $1.85 and it was a tiny glass, like a thimble size. Brought a box of delicious goodies home. Can't wait to go back!
Herman's has been in Cambridge as long as I can remember, my family moved to the area in 1972. They have a great staff and quality products! We order all of our holiday pies and dinner rolls from Herman's. My family especially likes the cranberry walnut bread if you can get it before it's gone. The lunch selection is wonderful with wraps, salads and the like. It's hard to stop in for just a sweet tooth fix. I usually end up with a box and bag of goodies for the family :)

I go to the Pine Brook Inn once a year with my husband's family, on Memorial Day weekend when we decorate all the family gravestones in the area. We keep coming back because it's a tradition, but also because we don't want to go anywhere else. Pine Brook is just that good. They've got the standard country bar & grill fare: apps, sandwiches, burgers, larger dinners if you're really hungry. I've never been disappointed by anything I've ordered. Today I had the Reuben; their version uses sour cream instead of Thousand Island dressing. I didn't miss it at all. My husband had the Pine Brook burger, which is a double-decker burger that's also piled with corned beef, ham, bacon, and two kinds of cheese. Carnivore heaven. Oh, and the service is fantastic. Our server today was covering the whole back part of the restaurant, but she was still quick, didn't forget about us, and even stopped to chat a few times. She said she'd been working fourteen days straight, but she had a great attitude and was very friendly. If you're really lucky, you'll go to Pine Brook on a day after they've made a lot of baked potatoes. They take the old potatoes and slice them, fry them, and season them for the best steak fries you've ever had. Seriously. My mother-in-law starts talking about the fries about a week before we go out there. The portions are quite generous, so you'll probably be unbuttoning your jeans and letting out a labored groan when the server comes around to ask you about dessert. But seriously, you really shouldn't skip it. They've got at least ten different kinds of pie, plus cheesecake and carrot cake. The banana cream is a dream. Do it.
Great Mother's Day lunch! Loved the food. You can smell the burgers grilling as you pull up. Awesome!
Conveniently located next to Wolcyn Tree Farms, this place is a lifesaver after what seemed like a whole DAY of deciding the best looking 8' tall Fraser Fir in a little town of Cambridge, an hour drive north of the Twin Cities. IMO, this place is a burger joint.. except it's probably better than a burger joint because they serve beer on tap!! I had the plain jane burger with tater tots (check out the pics). My friend had their special burger, forgot the name, but it's double stacked with all kinds of meat!! I am in love with this place. Probably the best half a pound burger I've ever had... no joke. Oh yes, one last thing. You have to go here only when you hear that loud growl from your stomach telling you to FEED it or else it'll feed on itself. I went here with my friends starving and came out with an unbuttoned pants totally satisfied. And when I mean totally satisfied, I mean passing out in my friend's car on our drive back to Minneapolis. Just remember that if you do get a burger, you have to be ready to eat at least half a pound. They don't serve anything less, unless you get the kid's meal which is probably more like 1/3 pound rather than a 1/4. :P

Not much for seating. The Saturday meat raffle is insane and has wonderful packages! Small patio in the alley. Great burgers, don't forget to ask for a toasted bun ;) Specials most days of the week.
We go to this place every few months. I'm always more than happy with the service and the burgers are excellent. I have to remember not to get the 1/2# burger because it's just huge. Eating a 1/2 pounder after a basket of wings, and I'm ready for a food coma! I only wish they had a burger with a fried egg. Who knows!
I don't know why this place has good reviews. The burgers were just so-so. I've had way better. The "toasted" bun was just some white bread store bought stuff (saw the bag sitting on the counter). It fell apart while I was eating. The service was bad. They were training in a new girl but it didn't seem clear what she was supposed to be doing. Serving? Bartending? Cooking? That left one server to do everything else and she wasn't very good. Hope you're not thirsty!

Pizza Pub

We stopped at the Pizza Pub on our walk home to a friend's house and loved the pizza selection. Our server was very helpful in recommending a few favorites: the buffalo chicken and the special (loaded) pizza. Our friends who ordered the "large" beer were tickled to find out they were a whopping 34 ounce liter size. Prices were great and in all came out to just over $10/person including beer. We really liked the pizza and the way it was prepared with toasty crust and hefty portions of toppings, cut into small squares for easy sharing.
The pizza pub slightly exceeded my expectations, which were quite low. Pizza was alright, certainly not "best in the upper Midwest" as the menu touted. Noisy atmosphere, but that made it a decent place to bring our small, loud children! Service was very nice and prompt. I'd go back again.
I can't give Pizza Pub a 5, because honestly - it isn't the perfect slice of good 'ol, authentic Mid-East coast Italian pizza; however, for us here up the sticks of Cambridge, MN, it's the best slice in town, and packs a bargain for bunches with their inexpensive "all you can eat" pizza buffet, and no toppings are lacking on this menu. From plain cheese to garbage pie, it's always piping hot thanks to the patrons packing the buffet line. I don't recommend dining-in for anything other than the buffet unless you're ready to wait for half-time for a server, and the end of the game for grub. They are a friendly bunch, but the crowd seems to be overwhelming for ticket orders. At least they have a few older but entertaining games for the kiddies to play while waiting though, as long as they don't spend your meal ticket during the excessive wait.

Wtf.....make it quit!!! Just stay home and have your kids run to the fridge to get you beers. Buns on the hamburgers came from Walmart.
A group of six of us stopped into American Jane's for Sunday brunch and had a great experience. The bloody Mary's were perfectly strong but smartly thinned out with Clamato and pickle juice. The Mimosa was a generous size and also delish. The prices can't be beat. The most expensive breakfast item, the skillet, was large and in charge and a steal at $6.99. Well-browned hashbrowns topped with crumbled sausage, bacon, peppers, cheese, and two eggs perfectly prepared over medium hit the spot! Several people got the biscuits and gravy and really liked the flavor of the gravy itself. Overall we felt like we got a great meal for the value and found the serving staff very accommodating. We'll be back!
H A L L E L U J A H !!!!!!! I'll be darned! Three more visits here, and each time a marked improvement. New layout New furniture Deep cleaning happened No traces of the old Legion Fresh Streamlined I even got a custom made sandwich, well, it wasn't busy, so why not. A real "can do" attitude. Loved it. I love subway and could eat subway three times a day everyday. I find it sad that I live in a town that has a subway and I will not go to it. The employees wash there has just long enough to wet them and then make your sandwich. The employee that make that makes the sandwiches for the drive thur seems to not wash their hands at all. In the past I have went through the drive through and numerous times my order was not right. So I started to go inside ( now I see the gross way they wash their hands) I now drive to isanti or down to coppers corner
Nice second time getting human hair in my sub. Tonight sep. 26 2015 at 9pm had a sub with 4 hairs in it. Enjoyable Not! This subway should be call hairway. Warning go somewhere else!
