Great food. The wild rice soup was a little too creamy and bland. The fries, onion rings, fried pickles are superb. Their corned beef is VERY good: lean, moist, tasty. They known what they're going with the corned beef. If you get the wings, and for them well done. They weren't undercooked, but they could've used some "crisp" to them. The hot peppers on the sandwich had a nice bite; way more than Minnesota hot, but not overpowering. There are lots of corned beef dished on the menu, and even Irish bangers. Rumor has it that the banger sandwich is a creative alternative to the Philly cheesesteak... replaced the steak with sliced bangers (gotta try tthat one next time!) Since it was quiet, the cook brought out a round of food. Always good to meet the cook and have a chance to talk about the food. The bartender, Ashley, was a great host, recommended fantastic food, and was knowledgable about her Irish beer and whiskey. On tap, there was a full compliment of Guinness products, like Guinness draught, Kilkenny, Harp, and my personal favorite, Smithwicks. They also carry 18 year Jameson for those that love a fine Irish whiskey. Two changes I'd like to see are 1) Get rid of the all-black walls. This has the makings of a great Irish pub, and shouldn't look like a teenager's goth bedroom. And 2) Setup a breakfast menu. They already have the Irish bangers, so add some Irish steel cut oatmeal and a good plate of eggs. I'll be heading back to try some of the other dishes. This is too good to pass up. This place has a lot of potential for becoming one of the best Irish pubs in the twin cities area. Lastly, the price is fair: $45 for three lunches, a large bowl of soup, and two large apps (no drinks). Well done!!! Slainte!

On my search for places we haven't tried... We found a place we'd go to again. We went on a Friday night, about 6:30, walked in and heard my wife and daughters names being shouted. Two of the guests were very good friends of my wife's, first time for them also. The wait staff was very friendly as e talked to my wife's friends. We sat down and ordered the onion rings, on a Yelpers suggestion. They were very good, think batter, they come with catsup. My wife and I had the Friday Fish Fry and my daughter had a chicken sandwich. The fish comes with French Fry's and coleslaw. The fish was very good, the Fry's were good, nothing special, the coleslaw was very good. My daughter noted that the chicken sandwich was "sub-par", with that we'd still recommend Ma Billy Cuddys.

i've been coming to "Cuddy's" for a couple years and have enjoyed the expierences i've had. Downtown Anoka can get a little seedy, but this place is a little off the beaten path, which in turn weeds out the riff-raff. The owners are a husband & wife couple that are genuinely nice, easy to get along with people. The server's & kitchen staff are fantastic too. Food-wise, I really recommend the Irish Dip or the Mahi Mahi dinner entree. I should add that the Guinness Cheese Fries make an excellent appitizer. Food is delicious & portions are generous. Beer-wise, It's an Irish pub, so you can expect your taps to include Guinness & Killians, Finnegans and most of your major domestics. Also a wide variety of Irish Whiskeys including, but not limited to Jameson & Two Gingers. They also have an All-Day Happy Hour that includes 2-4-1's and discounts on certain menu items. Overall, it's just a great local hangout, and I think you should check it out.

My wife and I went here almost randomly as we were planning to go up the street for wings. MaGillyCuddy's is a bar with some decent bar food. I had an agave burger. A pepper cheese burger with agave mayo. The bun was decent. It comes with fries and a pickle spear. My wife had fish and chips. The fish and chips came with malt vinegar and tartar. 3 large pieces. The batter was a bit thick, but not bad. The coleslaw was chunky as opposed to the shredded kind Sysco delivers. We both liked it. happy Hour - Smithwicks was $4 (draft pint) with a 2nd for $1 more. Not a bad deal.

I love this bar. They have great food, great service, and they're far enough away (a whole block!) from the other bars that they tend to attract a better crowd. The Karaoke host is a hoot (Neil). I love spending a weekend night here or just stopping in for a bite to eat - so versatile! Kitchen closes kind of early, but they sell Heggie's pizzas for the late night crowd!
