The Jägerschnitzel is incredible and the Späzele are very tasty. The Rotkohl is from heaven. The atmosphere is great and the service is very good. Das Brauhaus is in a word "ausgezeichnet"!

Was on a vacation up to Akeley a few weeks ago and my girlfriend's family had been raving about the Brauhaus! One night, we all came in for dinner! Great service! Very informative, knowledgeable & friendly staff! Now let's get to the food.....well let's just say........amazing! So delicious that we all were passing around samples of each other's dishes at our table so we could try everything. I really had a good time! Gabby is awesome.........it was great to meet her and her staff. Thanks for everything! Next time we come to Akeley, we will be back!

I have eaten here many times over a 10+ year period. The food is authentic and amazing!! You will not find a Schwein Haxe (delicious large bone-in-tender piece of pork) like this anywhere else. I've eaten pretty much everything on the menu and it is all great. The service is always excellent and the owner is always present and attentive to all guests and the staff is well trained. The place is great for large groups, kids and special occasions, or just a dinner for two. I can't wait for my next meal here!!

Our family's favorite vacation tradition for more than 20 years. Kids love schnitzel, spaetzle and carrots. The scheweinhoxe are huge and awesome. The desserts are great too so save room!

I'm not sure what the previous reviewer thought was lacking in this restaurant's ambiance. It is typical "German restaurant", a little kitschy, but really quite pleasant. The food was excellent; we had dinner on a Sunday afternoon. It was some of the best German food we have eaten anywhere. We both had pork loin specials which were tasty, moist and tender. How such a nice German restaurant ended up in the middle of nowhere is an interesting question, but if you happen to be here be sure to take the time to sample the food.

Absolutely delightful food, service, & beverage selection. Unless you have a German grandma who can really cook, this is the best real German food you are going to find in the area. Been eating here for years & my only complaint is that they close for the winter :-(

Atmosphere leaves a bit to be desired but great authentic food and beer. Open in summer only.

It's authentic German food, so it's good if you know what to expect. The Jäger Schnitzel with Spaetzle (noodles) is the best thing on the menu. Get that and an Oktoberfest and you're in for a great dinner. Cash or Check only. The service is slowish, but people are really nice. Move at their place and you'll have a nice time.

Each meal is BIG! Everything is delicious, but without a large group it's tough to get a taste of everything. Jäger schnitzel with the Hunters gravy was awesome. For bread, go for the pretzel!

Authentic German food is served up with warm hospitality at The Brauhaus. Our family has been coming here for years, and Gabi always greets us and makes us feel welcome. Portions are generous and fairly priced. Their specialty is the schweinhaxe, but I recommend the Jaeger Schnitzel with the spaetzle noodles and red cabbage.

My wife and I visited Park Rapids in late May. The online reviews for this restaurant were very good, so we drove out to it. I wasn't expecting much, and I didn't expect this restaurant to rival German restaurants in our home city, but it met the match. Everything was delicious. My wife had the Schweinebraten (apparently a customer favorite). The cut of pork was Huge! And tender! And we were enjoying it as a leftover for days. I had the Sauerbraten, and it matched the quality in German restaurants I frequent at home. Terrific, classy German atmosphere as well. Not sure how they pull it off in the boonies, but they do!

We went to the Brauhaus on their last day of the season which was end October or beginnig November. We both got the smoked hamhock. In order to serve the foods they serve in a timely fashion; reheating is required and you can tell they had thought it out well and did a good job. The hamhock was the best I've ever had. The bartender made it fun by offering me schnapps when I went to pay. German food is a little on the plain side, but it was well worth trying and tasty. The service was exceptional and the servers all wear dresses. The environment is very social and fun and the owner stopped at our table and asked if we enjoyed our meal. I am going 5 stars because they did what they do well.

We have been treating ourselves to this outstanding German restaurant for years. Our friends of German decent (who lives in CA) insists on visiting the Brauhaus every time they visit. The food is exceptional and Gabby and her staff go out of their way to make your visit a pleasurable and memorable experience. Their Schweinhaxe is the best I have ever eaten and I fact their entire menu is exceptional. Join them during "October Fest" for special beers and treats.
