Another bad experience.... Long wait for food, very poor server, 6 out of 7 meals were cold! Never again!

Went for breakfast on a Saturday, and was sat immediately. The food was good. My pancake seemed a little under cook though (just a little) and the waitress was so attentive and apologetic, and took it upon her self and removed my meal from the bill. The customer service was awesome!

I had been driving past for a few months since this place renovated and rebranded itself. It has a clean, inexpensive farmhouse decor, a fair bit of interesting farm themed pieces on the wall, I was seated next to what appears to be the components to a tractor clutch. Otherwise it's basically what you'd expect from any small town restaurant. My only complaint really is knowing which door to come in if you come from the Main Street side(the answer is the Washington street side) Upon arrival I was immediately seated by the hostess, my server arrived shortly after and took my order, both were extremely pleasant. Also, notable is the lack of music, it's not a bad thing, but it certainly highlights how accustomed I've became to constant music in every place we go. I had the hot meatloaf sandwich platter as it seemed like the most appropriate thing to order based on the place. They also had lots of interesting burgers, wraps, and sandwiches, along with pizza and burritos. After about 10 minutes my meal arrived, looking exactly as expected, sandwich and mashed potatoes covered in beef gravy. As to the taste, it wasn't the best meatloaf I've had, but at the same time I really have no complaints. The gravy was better than expect, unlike most places of this type the gravy actually had beef in it. Now, portion size, it's fairly small compared to most sit down places. You get your meal and that's it, none of the usual sides and such to facilitate over stuffing yourself. I suspect it's due to the fact that I was the youngest person dining by at least 20 years. But once again I really have no complaint, my meal and pop came in at 10 bucks, hit up five guys or chipotle and you'll spend at least 10 bucks for an equivalent meal.

I find something comforting about this establishment. It's that same feeling I get when I sit around the fireplace on a particularly cold evening. Perhaps, it's the no frills come as you are attitude about this place. There's nothing fancy about The Farmhouse. In fact, it reminds me of any the countless nondescript diners found back home in New Jersey. To start, I like the broccoli cheddar soup. It's warm, it tastes good, and it's cheap. Even though I know having worked in restaurants for years that it came frozen off a Sysco food truck. You see I come to the farm house not because I'm looking for something local or fresh as they advertise nor because I'm looking for fine dining but rather just because I don't want to cook and I want someone else to cook decent food for me at a decent price. I just want to relax. If you sometimes feel like me I recommend the Farmhouse and I recommend the Pork Wing Basket with sriracha sauce - deep fried and tender!

Both the stars are for the clean, nice looking building. Food was... Meh, at best. We wanted breakfast but they stop serving it at noon. So much for thinking this would be a proper diner. I ordered a turkey club. It was deli meat. And it had NO BACON. Who does that??? My husbands southwest chicken wrap was better. Oh and it had bacon. Grrr.

Breakfast is fantastic, have never tried lunch here but you can't go wrong with breakfast. Fantastic service, decor is adorable. I got the farmhouse omelet with cinnamon toast and my husband got the pancakes. Delicious! Would definitely come back and recommend.

Went yesterday only because Public was not open for lunch. Will not be back. The Farmhouse mantra: Local, Fresh and Delicious. I cannot speak to local but the last two are missing. Had a soup called Hodge Podge - it was mushy, sweet and overcooked and not much broth. Meal was meatloaf and they make a point it's made right there in their kitchen. Suggest they change the recipe or get it from somebody else's kitchen. It had no flavor, seasoning missing for sure, small serving and was quite compact and dry. I thought Mashed Potatoes were the perfect side and low and behold, this Farmhouse serves LOCAL INSTANT mashed potatoes. The roll that was promised in the menu never showed up and the waitress did not seem to know many details of the menu and how things were made. My wife got a hamburger made from a LOCAL pre formed patty that surely was frozen first, it had no flavor. The building was really nice, well done. Oddly enough, we chose the place because it was close, had a full parking lot and loved the name and the promise. Not sure what the others find the place but some people eat based upon price, not quality. There was a nice list of homemade deserts which initially, before our meal, we found interesting but feared to try them once we had tried their other food.

I visited twice. The first time, I stood at the front for a bit and left when I couldn't see anyone available to help. They were going through remodeling at that time so I recently tried it out again. The server was awesome! (5-star) Portions were good but the burrito with a weird flavor in the meat was a letdown. (1-star) The blueberry cobbler they had that day was okay. Checkout, on the other hand, could be a little quicker and a smile could go a long ways. Although the food didn't impress me much, I might try breakfast there someday because I heard that's pretty good. I'm still gibing three stars because the raspberry jam I bought at their Zeelmania both was the best! :)

Not off to a good start. Sigh outside says local and fresh. The coffee didn't meet either. Very poor coffee quality, from superior coffee. So bad we could not even finish a half cup. The building is nice though but fear the food will not meet expectations. They claim that the sausage gravy is delicious and homemade but was afraid since they made that claim. Corned beef hash is not homemade. Omelette had canned mushrooms. Farmers breakfast was safe.

I have passed by this place many times so decided to stop in tonight for dinner. When I walked in I had high hopes that maybe I found a quite local family place with great food, well not so much :( The apperence on the outside is nothing much, but inside is cute, clean and a decent size. Our server (couldn't see her name, tags are too small & she never said what it was) was VERY FRIENDLY. 5 Stars for her!! We ordered a burrito, kids chicken fingers & kids cheeseburger, with water to drink. Order total came to $18.31 (w/o tax). Then the food came out.... I was very surprised at how SMALL the kids chicken strips were (I have never seen such small food), the peaches were bigger then the chicken strips!! You got 2 and a bowl of peach halves. (needless to say my child was still starving after finishing it). My other child's Kids Cheeseburger was over cooked, dry & small. I asked if the applesauce had any chunks in it (before we ordered it) and she said no, but it did (my child has texture issues, so didn't eat it). My burrito was an alright size. The meat was dry & bland (tasted like there was no seasoning), barley any red sauce, the salsa was not homemade (from a jar). My kids ate about half of my burrito because they were so hungry from their tiny kids meals!!! I guess the thing that bothers me the most is that they have a HUGE sign & their menus that say... Local, Fresh, Delicious. I would say not so fresh, not so local (unless you count GFS local) and not so delicious, I feel like it is false advertising. :( Sorry. The girl that cashed me out was not so friendly (compared to our server, who was great!). We will not be returning in the future.

Nice fresh salads, generous portions, reasonable prices. Very cute farm theme. The soup is so good we take some home each time. This sounds crazy, but the ladies room is really decorated beautifully.

I ate at the Farmhouse a couple of years ago... Never went back. The food is definitely not "local" or "fresh" - at least not when you order a French dip. Bun was hard and cold. Serving size was very small. Seemed over priced for the quality of the food. For the same price point you could go to Public down the road and get the best sandwiches and burgers in the Holland area and much better service. Why bother?

Not very fresh and not very good. After a long summer in nyc we came home after a 10+ hour drive we just wanted to eat and go home. We stopped in and had "dinner" the food was Ok at best very grease and just not that good. They say fresh and local if by that they mean gfs frozen food and location for local then I guess... A lot better places in Zeeland for food now. I did go for breakfast once it was a little better but again not worth it.

This was a friendly warm environment and especially good for a breakfast place. I ordered eggs bacon and fresh tomatoes , al la cart and it was served beautifully and everything tasted very delicious.
