One place I love to stop at during a visit home in Michigan is Olga's. This particular location is new to me but I was in the area. I don't know what it is about their 'Olga's', but I absolutely love them! It's like a greek gyro but their shell is just a little different. From other locations, I was told they were made there in the restaurant. Different location but same great flavor that I always remember! I had the Original Olga which is filled with lamb, tomato, onions and Olga sauce. The sauce is yogurt based that I can't get enough of! The Greek style curly fries are new which are topped with Olga sauce and feta cheese. Yum! The fries were crisp and piled high. There was just enough sauce and feta to neatly blanket the french fries. Loved this! But don't forget to order the Snackers! Olga bread with a fantastic seasoning and their almond cheese spread. I think I could live on Snackers alone! Service here was just ok. She did keep our drinks filled but when it was time to cash out, she took her time. We were sitting where I could look through to the kitchen where she made the transaction. I noticed her eating and chatting away with another coworker. That doesn't really bode well for me. Otherwise the food is fantastic. Olga's has a unique greek flair that I adore!

This chain is only in the Detroit surrounding area, but it is a very good greek-style family restaurant. You can order a variety of sandwiches and salads that's served with the famous Olga's bread. It's like a buttery, thicker pita bread that's super yummy. I recommend the Olga's classic and the steak and cheese. Curly fries and peasant soup are a must. Free dessert with your Yelp check in!

I love Olga's! However, this particular Olga's has some serious service related issues that make trips here few and far between despite it's proximity to my house. You can expect long wait times between pretty much everything and for a gal that likes the unlimited soup, snackers, and salad dish this is agony. My water and pop glass is always half empty here and when servers do swing by they aren't overly friendly. Thankfully you can count on Olga's to serve consistent good food otherwise the lackluster service from hostess to server would warrant two stars.

In this location on 6/25/15. The booths, tables and floors were filthy! They even seated us in a filthy booth and it was hard to find a clean one! There were more employees in booths sitting around then there were working. If the booths and the floors were so filthy, what did the kitchen look like!? We were at this location previously and everything was clean, service and food were awesome! On this day the food was great the cleanliness was horrible. Our server was good but the rest were not! Don't think we will be going back any time soon!

I love Olga's and it makes me sad I can only enjoy it when I come back to Michigan. Went today with the fam and the food was uber tasty as usual. I always go with the BLT Olga, cream of broccoli soup with snackers and curly fries. Super yum. Two stars off for the cleanliness of the place. We had two sets of silverware with dried on food and there was a ton of dust in between the booths. Ew.

I eat here often. I love Olgas. The Woodhaven location is closest to my home. Ive been here a min of once a month since built. Everytime I come here I wait an extensive time for a hostess. Employees and management spend all of thier time in kitchen and have no windows. I NEVER see a manager. Many of the waitstaff are young, which is fine, but....smiles and customers service severely lacking. The most recent visit was especially worse. The entire restaurant was filthy. Rug at door, tile floor, under every table, and many tables still dirty. Like a bomb went off. I order and was served food with no silverware, no ketchup, and table next to me saying same thing. It was as if staff is untrained and managers are asleep at the wheel. The need to wake up.

Although it wasn't the most warm greeting. I sure do enjoy the food and the desserts. Receiving the free dessert offer from yelp reassured me that "I can have my cake and eat it too." This place is so serene and calm. All I ordered was a shawarma but I do love them. I would always come to Olga's if I want a tasty alternative to fast food option.

Came in to order a carry out. The young lady behind the counter acted as though she would rather be anywhere in the world except for at work. We ordered 2 regular Olga sandwiches with a Chicken Chili and a Peasant Soup. $ 25.00!! Talk about sticker shock. The Chili and Soup were tasty and hot, the sandwiches were bland, dry and not very well put together. The onions were sliced way too thick, the tomatoes were tiny little pieces and the sauce was more like mayo than anything else. The meat was dry and the pita was kind of tough. Very disappointing for the price paid.

By far the worst Olga's around. Service is usually bad and the manager could care less. He is very unprofessional. Food isn't usually too great either. We have stopped going to this Olga's location.

My carry out experience today was not one of my favorite experiences. Usually, they would come out to your car and take your order, but that wasn't the case today. I didn't care about that, as I figured maybe they have a different way of doing things. I haven't been there in 6 months. No biggie, I need to get out and walk once in a while. The lady who placed my order was not friendly at all. She was the "Certified Trainer" of the restaurant, so that makes me very concerned for the people she's training there. The food was okay. I'd probably go back when I have more coupons like I did today. The Olga's rewards card is really nice to have, as you get coupons in your e-mail. I got 2 Gyro's for $12, which is a pretty good deal. Usually they are around $7-8. If I'm craving a Gyro I'd probably look to the diners down the street from me as they are just as good, and a couple bucks cheaper. Olga's gyro was pretty decent though.

Olga's is the 'old reliable' for our family. We've been eating here for years. It's consistent, the prices are reasonable, and the menu is pretty solid. I've had just about everything on the menu, but usually stick to the Original or the Grilled Chicken. Salads here are expensive for what they are but pretty tasty.

Hidden Health risk! Just because it is in a pita doesn't mean it is good for you. This modern style restaurant and menu feature salads, soups, and Olga wraps, (even the hamburger with 3 cheeses and bacon). Snackers are just deep fried pita bread with seasoning salt and marinara. Cheese and high calorie dressings and soups are disguised as good old fashioned fare. The Service however is excellent. From the moment you hit the door until the check is delivered. The staff is always at your disposal; always ready to please weather it is your server or not. Lunch for 3, two adults and a child was $45.00 and there was none left for an afternoon snack. (1 slice fried pita $2). Nice decor but a 1person bathroom during a busy lunch makes you wonder about planning.

Simply put, Olga's Kitchen is a wonderful thing. Growing up in Michigan, I ate there often. Now that I live out of state, I truly miss this place. Every time I come home, within the first 24 hours, I must go to Olga's Kitchen. This location is my favorite. It's always been very clean and the service is generally very good. As far as the food goes, you can't go wrong. I am pretty sure I could live on the Cream of Broccoli soup & Snackers for the rest of my life and it wouldn't get old. And seriously, what do they put in that delicious cheese they serve with the Snackers? Fantastic! I am also a big fan of their lunch combinations, including 1/2 an Olga and and Bowl of Soup or the All You Can Eat Soup, Salad and Snackers. If you've never had an Olga before, I suggest you start with the original. If you like gyros, you'll like the original. If you're not a fan of lamb, then try the Super Cheese Olga with tomatoes. That's my personal fave. And if you're trying to eat healthy, try the JAFF (Just About Fat-Free) bread on your Olga. It's awesome and you won't miss the fat!

It's the chain gang! I don't usually review restaurant chains but there is something that keeps you coming back to one when you go there. It's either the food and or the service. In this case I enjoy the usual reliable Olga's salad with grilled chicken and some of those fantastic snackers.. What keeps me coming back to this restaurant is the service. It's nothing less than fantastic! Every waitress I have had is so friendly. The order is always taken fast, the drinks are delivered fast, the food is just as fast. I have been to a few Olga's Kitchens over the years but without a doubt this one has the best service!

Nice place to visit for a lunch. My wife is a vegetarian and loves eating here. I'm a meat eater and I enjoy their sandwiches. I've been here a few times and each time the waitstaff is top notch, the food is of good quality, and I never have any complaints. This is a great place to take the family.
