This place is full of good karma from the start. The owners tend to participate in charitable restaurant activities - supporting organizations to find cures for various diseases. That give them a big leg up for my money from the get go - socially conscious businesses deserve my support. Let's get to the goods though! The pot stickers are to die for ... they are filled with a wonderful meat combination that makes is totally addictive and leaves little room for your entree. They do fried rice very well - you know you're getting more than a pinch of chicken or beef with your quart of rice here. They have the best almond boneless chicken I've ever tasted ... just a real gourmet taste (compared to a lot of restaurants that just seem to toss some sauce on some battered up, deep-fried chicken). I live in San Francisco now, and we have the largest population of chinese in the United States (I think) - I still haven't found a comparably good Almond Boneless Chicken meal here. The restaurant provides seated dining or takeout. I've never eaten in, but the restaurant is definitely well-decorated and provides a nice atmosphere (lots of artwork, fountain, toned down lighting to help you relax after a long day at work). Chung's is the best chinese restaurant in Waterford Township, in my humble opinion.

My fiancé and I love this chinese restaurant. I have been coming here off and on for about 9 years. The fried rice can be a little bland, but I do enjoy the veggie rolls. I usually order sweet and sour chicken, sesame chicken or general tsos. This restaurant in particular is always consistent. And I cannot complain about the prices. I should note that if you want chicken or shrimp fried rice, they do charge an additional fee for meal combos. If we lived closer (we're about 25 minutes away), it would be our usual restaurant.

My wife and I tried this place and we loved it. Everything was great about the place. It was very clean inside and the food was delicious. The staff was very kind and hospitable. The portions of food were very large so we had another meal to take home with us. All in all, best chinese in Waterford!

I've been going to Chung's since I was a young teenager. I had sushi there for the first time, held my graduation dinner there, and have consumed probably hundreds of orders of vegetable fried rice, no egg, with tofu and sweet and sour sauce. This is still my typical order when, for some god-awful reason, I find myself back in Waterford. But plenty of other stuff here is great, too, as far as veg(etari)an options go: ma po tofu, Buddha's delight, veggie spring rolls, etc. The portions are pretty generous, prices are fair, and the ownership and staff are very nice--the skinny guy behind the sushi counter has always been exceedingly pleasant. Ultimately, this is one of the best places to eat in Waterford...which isn't really saying much, but it's one of the better Americanized Chinese restaurants I've been to in Michigan, period.

Chung's is such a great place to eat. They have sushi, which I'm not a huge fan of anywhere so it's not a big deal for me. My favorite thing to get from here are their eggrolls! Delish! Always friendly and polite and always great service. It's kinda hidden away but it's worth finding! You won't go wrong with Chung's.

Waitstaff is nice and attentive, but the food lacks subtlety and flavor and the dining room looks a bit second-hand. The sauce overpowers and drenches the ingredients. I had a vegetarian rice dish I can't recall the name of while my parents had Cashew Chicken and Mayonnaise Shrimp. I also placed a side order of Tempura. That was probably a mistake as all three of us had stomach aches an hour later. We took leftovers home but I didn't feel much like eating it the next day.

I ordered two almond chicken dinners with wonton soup. the almond chicken was so greasy it was disgusting, after peeling back the skin off the almond chicken, the chicken was so tough and rubbery I could barely rip it apart with my hands.. The lettuce was black/spoiled also received the wrong type of rice. The eggroll is burnt and dry. I don't feel this place even deserves the one start I gave it. absolutely disgusting. Never ordering again.

Been driving out here for their original egg roll. Highly recommended. Great crispy outside and cabbage like inside is so taste (see my pic). After coming here for years I finally tried the chicken fried rice las visit and omg. Some damn good fried rice. Very flavorful and quality meat inside. I always get carryout so little insight on eating inside except its usually not busy and its like many a strip mall connected smaller chinese joints. Not the greatest ambiance though.

It was amazing! I felt like being adventurous and they were empty. So i asked the waitstaff to pick something for me not on the menu. It was absolutely amazing. Whatever it was.

When I moved into the area, I was excited to find a place with good reviews. My first visit was great. We dined in, the food was great and the prices were even better. My husband and I got carry out a few times after and it was average. The orders are generally incorrect in some way and the food is not packaged well. For this reason, we haven't eaten it in months. Running errands today, I was trying to decide what to eat for lunch and passed chungs. I looked them up on my phone for the phone number and was surprised to see you can now order online. I placed an order. It was ready fairly quick. I went out to my car, decided to check for carry out silverware as I would be eating it on the run. There was no silverware, and so I ran back in to ask the waitress for some. She looked at me like I was crazy for needing carry out silver wear asking me if I wanted a spoon or a fork and saying that she wiould have to see if they even had any. Moments later, she returned with silverware loosely, not packaged. Further, the online ordering allows you to make modifications, I asked for no sprouts as I cannot stand them. Opened up my order, and it is full of sprouts. The online ordering does nothing for order accuracy. I think I'm done with this place.

Was excited to eat here after reading some good reviews but I was not impressed! The inside is decorated like your typical Chinese restaurant. We went on a Wednesday night so it was quiet and we were the only couple In the restaurant. Our waitress was young, very young. Like way too young to be working. I'm assuming she was the daughter of the owner. I ordered the chefs special shrimp and it was DISGUSTING. Literally the nastiest thing I have ever eaten. I ate one piece of shrimp and then thought I was going to have to run to the bathroom to be sick. It was mushy and did not taste fresh. I cant even imagine ordering sushi from here. My finances sweet and sour chicken was good, that's why I'm giving them two stars instead of one. Normally I would have ordered something different but considering the waitress was a child, I didn't want to hurt her feelings. I don't think we will ever be back.

Regardless of the restaurant's recent charitable contributions, I would give this place a one star rating. The exterior is unassuming and strip-mallish. I agree that the interior decor was acceptable. The place was not unclean, but I brushed the booth bench clear of crumbs before I sat down. My colleague and I went for lunch after reading the above review and were sorely disappointed. His Gen. Tso's chicken tasted more like sweet and sour, I ordered the Chicken Szechwan. Both of our entrees were drenched in way too much "sauce", and I must say the egg rolls were "not so good". We ordered off of the inexpensive "lunch menu", but after receiving our meal I decided that I would have gladly paid more if the quality had been better. (Maybe I should have ordered off of the dinner menu.) Unfortunately, there don't seem to be to many food options near the airport, but next time another 20-minute drive to somewhere else would be worth it.
