So I am a chipotle fan, but I tried Qdoba for the first time a few months ago and I fell in love with this place. To me it's not the same experience they both have their differences but I like Qdoba because of the queso and the crunchy tortilla strips. I have been here a few times now and I have only tried the burrito bowl. I have yet to try anything else because I can't get enough of the burrito bowl. The service is pretty good and the place is always neat and clean. Another good thing about Qdoba is it's never packed like chipotle. One thing I do not like about this place, seems to always be low on items. I have never came in to the restaurant and the food was fully stocked it seems that they are always running out of items or just starting to cook certain items . Everything I have ever wanted to eat has always been there but sometimes it doesn't always look so fresh. Never a bad experience and always a satisfying meal. So to cheers to all the burrito bowls I see in my future.

To make a long story short, I've had better customer service at any other restaurant I've visited. The only reason this joint didn't get a 1-star review is because the food is pretty good. My wife and I experienced this restaurant together and to be perfectly honest, we won't be back. The woman behind the counter was extremely rude and unapologetic. On this fateful day, she was serving up burritos with a large helping of hate. She spoke with a soft voice and when she was politely asked to repeat what she said, she fired daggers out of her eyes and spit fire so far across the counter I thought Drogon had arrived to save the Mother of Dragons. Frankly, all Qdoba restaurants are the same. The food at one location does not really stand out from another. The thing that makes the difference is the experience (to include customer service). My wife and I had a terrible experience here. I felt as though I was inconveniencing this brash burrito builder by asking her to... make a burrito. She was smart and didn't wear a name tag. Like I said, if you've been to one Qdoba, you've been to them all. I like their chicken tacos because, unlike the burritos, are not too filling. Their queso is some of the best in the biz too. peace! ~pickle

Had lunch here and it did not disappoint. It's like subway for burritos. Felt like I got great value for my dollar and I was only able to eat half burrito, took the other half home and my significant other ate the rest of it. Very filling and delicious

Good, quality burritos. A little on the pricey side for the Queso steak burrito with guacomole but tasty nonetheless. Service was quick and friendly. The store was clean and there was ample seating. The burritos are huge and will fill you up for the rest of the night.

It isn't the food that's terrible, but a couple things that could improve. Such as, the very friendly employee licked his fingers a couple times while grabbing a bag for my food and that made my stomach feel a little unsettled. The fountain pop machine that comes with every flavor in the world was flat and shooting out pop as if the spout hasn't been cleaned and was backed up.

I'm not sure if I have ever been that completely stuffed from just one burrito!! I really shouldn't have eaten it before work because once I got there I just wanted to take a siesta. I've had Qdoba several times, but this is the first time I have dined in or had a burrito. I usually order the taco salad bowl, which is very good. A crisp & flaky tortilla shell bowl with romaine lettuce, corn, tomatoes, beans and a dollop of each sour cream & guacamole. Today I decided to take a buddies suggestion and mix it up a little. I ordered the pull pork burrito & went through the cafeteria style line & choose my toppings Subway style. I hooked that burrito up! 2 kinds of beans (black & pinto), cilantro white rice, corn, guacamole, sour cream & a good helping of pico de gallo. The 6.59 burrito was packed so tight in the steamed flour tortilla shell I thought for sure I was gonna hurt my wrist eating it. This place is full of options, several different sauces in addition to the fresh cut lemons, limes & my personal favorite Cholula or as I like to call it, the pretty lady with the wooden cap. The seating area is pretty big, very clean & I thought 10 dollars was a lot for a burrito, a cookie & a one size fits all medium cola until dinner time came & I was still full. I wouldn't say you need to rush here for lunch or dinner but if you need a break from the norm at chow time Qdoba is worth checking out!

Qdoba is absolutely one of my favorite places to go in get a burrito. Their ingredients are always very fresh, the staff is always very helpful, they're always willing to go the extra mile to make sure that your burritos the best tasting it could possibly be. Also their Valentine's Day promotion where you get the kiss your significant other for free burrito always gets a good chuckle out of people. Their chicken tortilla soup is excellent, Their bowls are excellent and they've got every fresh topping just to make your burrito or whatever meal you want perfect give them a try. Yes, they are a chain resturaunt, but it does have their benefits.... OH... and make sure to sign up for their Qdoba Rewards Club!!!

Been here several times and the place s great. Fresh food and employees are nice. I wish the prices were a little lower but maybe it is just because I am cheap :) Love the shredded beef bowl. Yum!

Love this place! & being in there rewards program they send out plenty of BOGO's The fresh ingredients & marinated chicken & blend of all 4-5 salsas rocks my world every time. Plus the staff is always upbeat & the place is CLEAN! I just find it bizarre , that in all of Macomb County there is only one at 12 /Mound 13 & Gratiot & Lakeside sure could use one!

This is one of those places I've always shyed away from because: 1. it's close to "fast food" Mexican, which can never be a good thing 2. If I want Mexican bad enough, i'll go to Mexican Town Well, today I decided to give it a go. Now that i'm doing this Yelping thing (which I LOVE BTW) it's another reason to keep trying new things. So I strolled on in and took a looksie at the menu. When I saw they have pulled pork as a protein option, I got cautiously optimistic! I love pork. It's probably my favorite meat. Better than beef even, if it's cooked right. I opted for the pulled pork quesedilla. I wasn't super hungry for a burrito.. and tacos are meh to me. It comes with sour cream and guac but I only got the sour cream this time. The lady asked me what kind of salsa I wanted.. Woah, I hadn't even gotten that far. I looked at her like Ralphie looks at Santa. "The medium is good with the pork." She says. I nod and repeat.. "football..." Right.... Anyways.. I got it back to work and hoped for the best. No napkins, no plasticware. Now, I know this isn't a big deal to some, but when it's to go, I just figure it's always a sure bet to include plasticware and napkins with your order. Is that wrong??? But on to the quesedilla, which was amazingly good!!! Don't mince my words, ya'll. I said amazing-LY GOOD, not AMAZING. The "medium" salsa I was given is actually a salsa verde. Tasty, but I really didn't need it. They give you a lot of sour cream which is nice, compared to other places. The pork was flavorful and you could actually bite into it and it wasn't chewy. It was pretty succulent, actually. The pico de gallo is fresh and tastes fresh. Score!! This time it was a $7.00 I was happy to pay. I ate almost all of it, and i'll happily eat the leftovers later. /Fresh!

Their nachos are great, though a little skimpy on the queso and they charge you for extra. The tacos left something to be desired though.

The first thing I'd like to say is that I'm a huge fan of Qdoba. I love the Queso. I love the tacos. I love just about everything at Qdoba. That being said, the 12 mile and mound location leaves something to be desired. There are a couple of employees there who are miserable. A young lady behind the counter is always frugal with the cheese, the meat, the ingredients. When you ask her for more anything - you get a look of disgust as if you asked her for sex! The food seems cold by the time you get it for some reason. Unfortunately, this is the closest Qdoba to my house, so I deal with it. The Qdoba in Southfield on Telegraph seems to be the very best one around. Superior service, always smiling and having fun. Food is piping hot and fresh always.

The strip mall this place is in has a bunch of great casual food options. It would be difficult to live here and not have to workout every day so as not to gain 100 lbs. I came here for the first time a few years back and I was impressed with the freshness of the salsa's. I hadn't been to Chipotle yet (which is a notch better) at the time so I had nothing to compare it to. At that time I was disappointed with a few things there which started with the attitude. There was one guy who seemed to be doing all the work while a couple other girls who seemed to be hired on looks alone stood around waiting in dread for the next time they would called upon to lift a finger. I wish they did lift a finger because the place was sloppy, tables needed wiping, floors swept, etc. The design of the dining area was a little cold and metallic but modern. It would have been cool if it was clean. I went back there recently and things have changed nicely. All the people working there were very pleasant, it was nice and clean, the lighting was warmer and toned down a bit and some of the food options seem better. We ordered a chicken burrito with grilled peppers and some kind of BBQ sauce that was very good. Big improvement from a few years ago. Rating 4 Stars.

Oh god no, never again! It's like they ripped off Chipotle but didn't realise that the food should taste good.

Worst customer service I have ever seen, don't ignore the customers that only want to order a side.

Great mexican burrito place. Comparable to Chipotle and Baja Fresh. Personally I still prefer Chipotle, but this is close on the heels, and doesn't feel as unhealthy as Chipotle.

I like qdoba's burritos and nachos and the food is always consistent. The pick 2 menu is nice because the portions are smaller and it offers variety for a decent price. Service at this qdoba isn't always consistent though. Slow one day, quick the next. I ordered a taco bar for 20 and added queso cheese. All of the toppings (lettuce, salsa, cheese, etc.) come with the taco bar and a large bag of chips. When we picked it up, there were two large bags and they said we were all set. We figured we were good to go but once we were home, we realized ALL of the toppings were left out. We called the store and they delivered the missing parts of our order within 10-15 minutes. While it was an inconvenience since my guests were all waiting to eat, I appreciated the willingness to make it right so quickly. Not quite sure how they forgot about that part of the order... which is why I think the service is inconsistent.

Similar to Chipotle. My burrito was okay, but it was nothing exceptional. The service was good! The rice was a little undercooked, but the chicken was good.

I love Qdoba. Lately, though, this location has disappointed me. 1. Customer service: I feel so very rushed when I'm ordering. I feel like I'm holding up production on their assembly line of burritos. It's not like I'm ordering a million things and am indecicive. I know exactly what I want. Let me tell you without being rushed. 2. Amount of toppings: I always order the vegetarian burrito, which consists of beans, rice, salsas, and guacamole. I'm paying about the same price for this non-meat burrito as I would for a meat burrito. So why, exactly, are you skimping on rice and beans? I should not have to ask for "a little more rice" after you give me half a scoop. The burritos are HUGE, so I'm ok with eating a smaller burrito, but please sell it to me for $4 instead of $6. It's just not priced fair. 3. Undercooked beans: Just, no. Gross. Please cook the beans fully. I'll keep eating here occasionally, but it's not my favorite location. It's especially fun at noon when GM lets its employees out into the world to eat.

I feel almost guilty giving a good review to a "Mexican" food restaurant that is laid out like a Subway, but the food is just hard-to-argue good. I haven't been to Qdoba for at least 4 years, and I remember it being good. But I forgot how fresh everything tasted. I got the Flank Steak burrito, and even the meat was very tender. I'm not a huge fan of the burrito itself, because it had a gummy texture that almost sticks to the roof of your mouth. But I can understand it needing to be a little sticky in order to stretch it and be pliable for wrapping. The only negative is that it's still $9 for a[n admittedly] good burrito and soda. My wife also got one, and could only finish half of it. She's a picky eater, and she was really happy with hers, too. If it were cheaper, I'd come here more often. As it stands, nearly $20 for a burrito lunch for us seems steep. But that's the only reason it got 4 stars instead of 5. Great food, large portions, and good quality ingredients.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
