A friend of mine has been raving about this place since I've known him. We finally were in an area close to one, so we stopped in. I must say that his assertions were well founded. I had the dish by which I judge all Mexican type restaurants; a chicken burrito. It was tasty and the ingredients seemed fresh. The price made it a great bargain. I was surprised to find that they served "American" food (burgers and fries), as well. My friends were all satisfied with what they ordered. The place was clean and the service was fast and friendly. All in all, the food was better than Taco Bell and costs less. I'll have to seek another one out in the future.

I was extremely hungry one day, so I decided to try Del Taco tacos. The tacos did not taste good to me and I won't be going back but on the plus side, their menu is reasonably priced.

Worst service ever. Two weeks ago forgot my fries said they wrote my name down went back and manager accuses me of lieing. Wow lieing about an order of fries won't be back. Hire better employees.

Not a fan of this location. Went two diffrent days and two diffrent times and the chicken was very undercooked or was not very good chicken. Very rubbery and chewy. I would never go back to this location.... I've been to the one on main street and jave never had a problem there

Pros: -They are open 24 hours -They have what might be the best fast food breakfast menu around, also served 24 hours. All cooked to order. No "egg pucks" to be found. -Their fish tacos are better than they have any right to be Cons: -Their two best menu features (see Pros) are things most sane people would not risk from a fast food Mexican joint -The quality of the Mexican stuff on their menu is hit it miss. Honestly sometimes better than Taco Bell and sometimes not so much (at least for my tastes) -Their American food is unimpressive, at best. The burgers are novel but bland and usually overcooked. The fries are abysmal to the point where I do not order their "value meals" here because the grody fries actually remove value rather than add it. Other Considerations: -They do catering, and it is cheap. -They handle large orders fairly gracefully with a bit of notice. With a days notice or even just a couple hours notice, have fed groups of 50+ for work events, without hiccup -Service here is hit or miss. They oddly seem slowest when they are the least busy, like middle of the night and early morning. -They have hand pumps for their different hot sauces, so you don't have to waste little packets when you dine in -Del Taco has a serviceable desert menu (particularly their Churro) and had this option LONG before Taco Bell decided to get into the desert game -My score of 3 takes into consideration the fact that this is a FAST FOOD Mexican place. If it were a real Mexican place I would rate it 2 stars, based solely on the merit of their fish tacos. Otherwise 1.5 stars. -Just to reiterate, the fries suck

I was passing by today and since I've seen so many great reviews for this place I hit up the drive thru for my first taste. I'm a total convert now. First off the drive thru is fast, clean and friendly. Second the food tasted much fresher than T-Bell's and it was just better looking all around! The carnitas, which may only be here for a limited time, were delicious with the guac and the double tortilla soft shell. The chicken taco was far more natural tasting than T-Bell's with a nice amount of cheese and real lettuce that didn't look so processed. The Pollo Asado had a nice salsa/taco sauce on it and the chicken tasted real. On top of that their Inferno sauce, better than the Bell's also. As if that wasn't enough their prices are crazy inexpensive and they run specials weekly...and thanks to Regina's tip I get the emails now for all their great specials and updates. I meant to get a few regular tacos but the menu being new to me threw me off a little so I'll be back for sure. I only wish they had a Mexican pizza and I wouldn't have a reason to go back to the Bell. I will say that their food while tasting fresher and cleaner doesn't use as much seasoning as the Bell so it tastes a little bland but in the way that makes me think that I'm eating something loaded with salt and flavor enhancers...just an FYI if you haven't eaten here...that was my initial impression. But I still loved this place. I wish Ferndale had one of these!!! I'll be back for the fish tacos Pauly and the regulars are calling my name too.

*---------Newsflash----------* Del Taco has bomb-ass fish tacos! A battered, fried and crisp strip of fish served on two corn tortillas with a shredded cabbage slaw, fresh pico with real cilantro all laced with a delicious citrus mayo so good you have to lick your fingers as you go. These fish tacos are so simple, but so good. They drop the fish in the fryer as you order, and no sooner. I think they cost 3 dollars for two, you cannot go wrong. Del has another treat in the chicken taco. The chicken is cooked to order on a flat top, topped with hand grated cheddar cheese and fresh shredded lettuce. The bean & cheese burrito is no joke either, with slow cooked beans made in house, a healthy portion of cheese and your choice of sauces. The staff is always nice, the owner is super cool & he is all about the food. I love Del Taco and if you haven't tried Del yet, I'm not sure what your waiting for.

Del Taco beats Taco Bell hands down. Del Taco's food tates better and is a better value overall. Being open 24 hours is not too shabby as well.

Ugh. Every time I eat here, I get sick! Not just "I ate my weight in tacos" kind of sick; more like, "sorry job I have to leave you now" sort of sick. I think there is something wrong with their oil. Also, if you still choose to go here, be prepared to wait forever for your meal, especially if it is not a common menu item. The fried jalapenos will have you pooping in pain for days. Beware.

Obviously this is fast food mexican, but for the price and quality you can't beat it. Always have good service and am full when I leave. The carnitas are actually pretty decent for fast food. I'd go to Dell Taco over Taco Bell 100 out of 100 times.

My pick over Taco Bell for fast fake Mexican food, and I have a TB literally 3 blocks from my house. I like the deals on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and they have burgers and fries too, if you don't want any fake Mexican food. Tuesdays 3 hard tacos for $1.29 Thursdays 3 chicken tacos for $2.49 Here's a tip... If you sign up for their email list, you will get a coupon for 2 free chicken soft tacos. Not too bad!!! You will also receive weekly coupons, and get free stuff on your birthday!! And believe this or not... they cater events for as little as $5.99 per person!!! /Fake Mexican Real Value!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
