The food is pretty good here - mostly hits with a few misses. The portions are on the generous side, and it's affordably priced. There isn't much in the way of ambiance, but the staff has always been nice and your food comes out pretty quickly, even when it's busy. The one highlight that keeps me coming back is the cabbage soup. I have tried to make it on my own and have tried it at other restaurants - nothing can come close to their recipe. I don't live in the area any longer, but when I fly home to visit this is on the way home from the airport, and it's always a stop I like to make for the soup!

Cheapest breakfast on the east side and food is good for a cookie cutter family restaurant. Can't comment yet on lunch and dinner.

Andrea's has a great and diverse menu. This place is reliable. I grew up in this area and now visit frequently. If in doubt and you are in south Macomb, go to Andreas. There are actual healthy choices on the menu made with real ingredients--soups, kebobs, healthy side dishes. Also, there is something for everybody on the menu. It will satisfy the pickiest people in your group. This is a fantastic diner that reminds me of home.

This place used to look exactly like Sea Breeze on Gratiot did, and then they both up and lost those signs with the white tiles across the fronts, and to something a little classier. Andrea's Garden is right behind Macomb Community College. Not unexpectedly, there's a large amount of traffic between MCC and Andrea's. Keep that in mind if you're not a college student and looking for a bite to eat. The food is good enough. It's not going to win awards, but I didn't have to send anything back to the kitchen, either. They do a selection that you can come to expect - the basic breakfast affair, lunch specials that include sandwiches and some tasty soups, burgers, chicken, and fish for dinner. The fish dinner was pretty good. I'm a sucker for fried fish and malt vinegar over some fries! If you're looking for a quick bite between classes and don't want to eat at Cafe K yet again, this would be the closest and probably best bet. If you're just looking for dinner and aren't a college student, at certain times of the day Andrea's may seem a little hectic inside.

When it comes to family dining, Andreas is one of the best. Daily homemade soups and rolls, and the food is well priced and tasty. I've eaten there many many times and I have never been unsatisfied, and if you want a great breakfast, this is the place.

Hubs and I ate here last week for the 1st in a long time. He got the meatloaf dinner (said it was very good) Dinners come with soup and salad. I got the turkey dinner which was pretty good. Very large portions. The cabbage soup was very good, just would like it a little hotter.Had fantastic server (sorry, can't remember her name) loved her knowledge of the menu and her cheery disposition. The food is certainly not gourmet but when I don't want to cook, I just want food, as long as it has decent taste and decent service, I'm happy. Will go back.

A stable little diner that's been around for years.... I used to come in before classes, slop down all my books, order some grub and hang out for a bit until class started. I used to get this strawberry spinach salad that was really good and healthy.... I loved it. This is a Greek themed diner...which is fine with me...they have really good menu options... They also have a FABULOUS dessert menu...on this past visit, it was only a couple of hours passed breakfast for me, so I really wasn't that hungry, but was in the mood for a cup of coffee and something sweet.... I wrangled up a slice of French silk pie, and Lemon meringue pie (and a to-go container) and mmmmmm...they both hit the spot!! Yum, stop in...it's not a bad place to grab some eats!

This place ain't bad if you're looking for a diner-style setting with larger food portions at a nice price. My coworkers seemed to always pick up salads from this place, so one day we all went to lunch there. Beside the cole slaw -- which was so bland and tasted pretty awful -- everything else was pretty solid. The service was very good (we had a nice older woman who was cracking jokes about portion sizes), our table had a full pitcher of ice water at our disposal and the bread rolls that come with meals are very good. I ordered the gyro with fries. It was a large gyro full of lamb, chopped white onions and tomatoes. It came with the tzaziki sauce, which was good but not as great as you can find at other places. Alas, the gyro was quite filling and good for the price. The fries were especcialy tasty, rivaling Coney Island fries in terms of taste and texture. The best part was that both items together didn't even cost $7. The menu is also HUGE -- I'm talking one of the biggest menus I have ever seen anywhere. Some people look at that as a good thing or a bad thing, but I'll let you decide. It's worth a visit if you're looking for a well-priced meal and a full stomach.

Never been in here before, but it's been here forever. I didn't know what I wanted to get, I came in late and most of the specials were gone, and they had like a whole page of stuff to choose from. When i'm not sure, and it being Lent and all, I went with the Fish and Chips. For diners like this, the Fish and chips is usually a good benchmark of anything else coming out of the kitchen. Well, the fish tasted good, but it was not nearly warm enough and it was a bit more oily than i'd care for, but I have an odd feeling that being there so late, they may have had to re-heat the fryer and it just wasn't quite there yet. Honestly, I would have waited the extra 5-10 min to get it right, I was in no rush. Great service, pretty quiet older crowd in here. I was the youngest person in the joint by 20 years. Nice place overall though.

I went here for the first time and i will not be back again. I had the chicken noodle soup and there was no chicken in it. Also, it wasnt good chicken noodle soup. My girlfriend had the homemade chili. She said it was different, not what she expected. Will not try it again. We then ordered chocolate cake which was so cold, it was almost frozen. (Still good cake though). The manager gave me a nasty look when i said i wanted to leave a $2 tip on a $8 meal.

Stopped in for some breakfast, I made it just in time. It was okay, ordered eggs and toast with sausage. I was expecting a better taste but overall it was okay. The coffee was not to par just kinda average. It was an average meal for an average sunday. give it a try or don't.

First time and last time I will be here. French onion soup had a piece of processed swiss type cheese laid on top and not melted, salad was lettuce and 1 tomato, and the almond boneless chicken was horrible, no taste and the chicken was tough.

Andrea's Garden reminds me of Monk's from Seinfeld. It is a medium sized diner. They cater to seniors and the after church crowd. They do serve up a decent breakfast. I like the Greek omelet. I appreciate that they will substitute cottage cheese for the hash browns and toast that comes with breakfast dishes. It is actually hard to find a place that does that. Order coffee and you get the whole pot, which, they will refill as needed. They make a pretty good gyro for the area. Tuna and chicken salads are solid. So is their Greek salad. If you get a burger, make sure it is the Angus burger (which is found on the special menu not the regular menu). They serve the basics, but offer daily specials. For example, they have stuffed cabbage on Tuesday. Stuffed peppers on Wednesday. Thursday is chicken pot pie night. Portions are ample. The service is fast and friendly. Prices are low. Seniors get a 10% discount.

Best place for a bowl of soup! Always great service and good food! The bread they give you with dinner has the best taste!

My wife and I had dinner at Andrea's last night. I read the reviews and think maybe they were eating somewhere different than me. Here's the good: The service was great. We had a lovely lady who knew the menu inside and out. Also, you get a lot of food. The price was very reasonable as well. The bad: The food is not good. I had a burger which consisted of a heated up frozen patty, some funky lettuce and it was luke warm. I also had cole slaw which was made from bagged slaw and some Marzetti's thrown over it. My wife had pierogis which were obviously purchased elsewhere and merely heated up in the back. If you like fresh, tasty food - avoid this place at all costs. If you like cheap food and don't care if it's just frozen stuff heated up, go here or buy yourself a Stoefers and stay home!!! We won't bother going back.

Great breakfast. Sausage patties are the best. Hot coffee. Good service and fast. Tables are not wiped down, a bit dirty with spare silverware and coffee cups along with jelly, butter, coffee cream and syrup. It's a pain to clean tables well with clutter but can be done.

Love coming here for breakfast! My husband and I work midnights and usually meet up here in our usual spot with our favorite waitress! She knows my husbands order every time and we love her! Great food and service with lots of smiles!

Breakfast here was great. Cheap price, good quality, great portion. Waffle, pancakes, omelets: they do it right.

Certain dishes are good but the fact that you can't get more than one refill on your 14 ounce glass filled with ice and a lemon seems odd. It costs them .15 to pour it so why be tight when a customer wants their 3rd "half glass" of refreshment. Polite and attentive staff and great fish and chips!

My classes at Macomb Community College were typically later in the evening, and sometimes sitting in a class for three hours, my mind drifts to food. On those rare occasions where I would be able to get out earlier and have a few minutes until my next class, I would run across the street to this restaurant. The greatest thing about is, regardless of how many people are in there (it always seems to be real busy when I go) I always got my order taken quickly and my food delivered quickly. I've been able to do dinner in twenty minutes flat here, and it was actually good. It's a very plain restaurant with plain food. And you know what? That's not a bad thing! Sometimes I just need 'food' from a restaurant, and everything else is irrelevant. If I'm ever in the neighborhood and need a quick bite to eat, I know I can always stop here.

Andreas Garden Restaurant has a great staff. The servers are friendly and professional and the service is fast and the food is affordable. I love the omelettes for breakfast and I always get a full carafe of coffee. The coffee is always fresh, too. There are a lot of seniors here because the prices are very affordable and on top of that Andreas Garden offers a senior discount for those over 62. They have a great carry-out business and I use it often. Hey, Yelp tells me that I'm the Duchess of Andreas Garden Restaurant! Yay! That's because the food is good and to be honest with you, I don't like to cook very much. :) Their fish is very good and my husband and I are regulars every Friday. It's very casual, nothing fancy, but just what I need and can afford.

Although the service was phenomenal, my hamburger and fries were bland and greasy. I would not eat there again, but I did appreciate the friendly staff and cute small town feeling of the place.

3.5 Stars They do a lot of things that are right here, every time I've been here except late in the evening it's crowded. 10 years ago I would have probably given the place a solid 4 or above but I've discovered some nice places near me that were pretty decent as well. Pros: Fish & Chips, coffee, most of the fish items taste pretty fresh for a diner. Cons: They keep the temperature kind of chilly inside but with how hard the waitstaff is running around I can see why. (Maybe that's how they keep the fish so fresh)
