5 stars for a Starbucks? Really? Let me tell you why. You have likely heard the old story about the customer that returned a tire to Nordstrom's and based on their service policy, they evidently accepted the tire return. The thing is, Nordstrom's does not and did not ever sell tires. Well my most recent stop at Starbucks was almost as extraordinary, although I did not attempt to return a Michelin radial there. I was driving toward home fairly late at night and I was famished and tired so I thought a nice cappuccino and maybe a pastry would be just what the doctor ordered. Starbucks was still open so I swung in there. I selected some kind of spinach based pastry and ordered a large (Vente) Cappuccino to go. The person who took my order asked if I wanted the pastry heated and I told them yes. Meanwhile she made my cap for me as the pastry was heating. She was a nubie and it took her a few minutes to get the right amount of foam for the cap, and I waited. Then I guess because it had taken a while, she reheated the pastry a second time. The manager must have noticed that the pastry was red hot when he took it out of the heating appliance and told me that he could not possibly charge me for it since it had been overcooked. I looked at the pastry and it looked fine to me and I told him to not worry about it and that I would take it as it was. He said that he would let me keep that pastry but he felt it necessary to return my money. I felt a little awkward and told him that this was just not necessary. He told me that he would feel better if he could give me something else and suggested a ham and cheese pastry. So there I was holding on to this perfectly acceptable spinach pastry and he was all set to make me a ham and cheese just to cover all bases. So off he went to do that. In a few moments the ham and cheese pastry arrived and I was all set to go. Then he stuffed another $ 3.45 into my hand and told me that he was compelled to return my money because I had "been inconvenienced". Now I didn't return a Michelin radial to Starbucks, but manager that is so motivated to please his customers deserves the proper recognition. Needless to say, I will be back.

This is my favorite Starbucks in the area, because of their customer service, hours, and now, their Clover machine. I also find the hours very convenient, like another reviewer pointed out before. Most employees are very kind, and a few know my husband and I by name now that we've been coming here for a while. I've never experienced the staff being rude or degrading, that is news to me. I agree with all the other reviews: parking situation here is difficult. However, I don't really see how a drive-thru would make this better, as there is already no room for additional parking. There is a location with one of those 1 mile away (15 & Crooks), it might be faster to go there than to wait for parking...

The coffee is always good and of course free WiFi is expected. They spend $$$ remodeling with less space, uncomfortable tall chairs, and more group seating. Not sure I'll be back to this one.

I usually go to this Starbucks when I go because it's open "late" (for the suburbs, lol - 11pm) and they have a nice outdoor seating area as well, overlooking Big Beaver Rd. The staff is always friendly and my order is always made correctly. They also have free WiFi (as do all Starbucks') which is nice.

The staff at this location has always been good, but the parking situation is absurd. If you visit this location around 8 AM, you will wait forever to get a spot to park in. On top of that, the morning delivery truck also comes around 8 AM and blocks off a significant portion of the lot; I waited almost 10 minutes this morning waiting to get out of the parking lot. Wish I could give a better review, but you're much better off going to the Starbucks a mile south, at 15 (Maple) and Crooks.

I love the place but the parking lot sucks! They need to have a drive thru or something bc half of the time I'm always waiting outside for a parking place! If I have to wait too long I just drive off!

I'm not sure if I caught this Starbucks on an off day or what, but I won't be going back. Not only was the line extremely long and the staff was moving extremely slow, but my drink was made horribly. I literally watched the barista fill my venti cup HALF WAY with foam. I'm sorry but if I'm paying over $4 for coffee, I expect the majority of my drink to be coffee. Very disappointed.

I logged in just to review this location. The parking situation at this location seriously makes it a miserable experience just to get into the store. 20 people all sitting outside and all of them drove separately leave absolutely no room for in and out customers to park. Not to mention both roads only allow to turn one way... Making it impossible to pull into the next parking lot next door. Skip this location and go to any of the other three within a mile radius. Seriously, fix the parking here. Terrible.

Favorite Starbucks. Keep in mind I live at 14 and crooks, drive right by the one at 15 and crooks just to come to this one. Super friendly, fast, order is always right. Lots of good tables and comfy chairs to study. Outdoor patio. Well worth the drive past the Maple location IMO.

My favorite Starbucks. I am here almost everyday to study. Baristas are very nice and attentive. They appreciate regulars as well and try to accommodate them the best way possible. My favorite is the iced green tea unsweetened with lemonade. Can't go wrong with unlimited free refills with my golden card :D

Am I really the first person to review this place? Guess that surprises me because this Starbucks was packed at all hours during the month of January. I've been spending a lot of time here due to some various projects in Troy and Rochester, and I've noticed a few things: 1) Parking is incredibly difficult. The place gets a steady stream of traffic, but good luck finding a place for your wheels. 2) Service is generally friendly, and the baristas here were more helpful than at other locations. 3) The number of tables is limited. Just something to think about in case you have a big group. I've always managed to find a seat (morning, afternoon, or evening), but it's a tight space. Overall, it's a fairly decent Starbucks.
