Ok Leo's is a chain coney place and not a 5 Star Restaurant so just know that going in. I eat here often and have always had good service and food. I usually get the single coney special with fries and drink. It is $6 and a good deal. Coneys are great with a crisp hot dog that snaps when you bite it, steamed bun and a nice coney sauce. I love the fries because they are always hot which is the way I love them. The wait staff is very attentive and the manager always stops by to ask if I need anything. I have eaten at other Leo's and this one is as good as any of them. I must say I certainly prefer them over National Coney Island.

We love going there. The service is always fast and the prices are great. Food is always good. The only negative thing is they have so many employees working! The restaurant could be empty and there's like 10 employees just standing around socializing, making it uncomfortable to eat.

Let's start off with the pros! The lemon rice soup is really really good! Not better than seros but better than all the other places I've tried! The first visit I went I had cinnamon french toast with bacon and eggs and I would totally get it again! Not homemade, but still super yummy. Service was fine- nothing outta the ordinary for a typical coney place. The place is clean and well staffed. The owner came around and asked how everything was both times I've been which is nice to see :) Now the cons... My most recent visit I had the fish and chips with curly fries. It was lent and I couldn't eat meat that day (a Friday) but I wasn't too impressed. The first piece of fish I had was ok, crunchy and definitely a fillet and not mystery fish all smooched together. The second piece was soggy and 90% breading. Not cool when you only get 2 small pieces. It almost reminded me of the frozen fish you get in the freezer section in the little yellow box. The curly fries were great but how do you go wrong with that? The coleslaw was disgusting. They have hope for standard coney fair but it just wasn't up to my standards for fish and chips

Check your bill when you go to pay. When you get the special you should be charged the special price. Seems harmless but how many times do they get away with it.

I placed a carry out order for breakfast and when I entered to establishment the cooks and the staff were too busy talking or on their phones to greet me. Then my side of sausage wasn't cooked all the way through ! I will never eat there and I'm spreading the word on this poorly staffed half assed restaurant

We go to other Leos locations when we are in the mood for a Coney kind of a meal. I usually get omelets, but sometimes I try something new. I was working out in Troy, needed to grab a bite and I saw the Leos sign. So I went in. The first thing I noticed on the menu that looked interesting was a 1/2 pound gyro burger served with feta cheese. Having never seen that before, I asked the server whether it was really a burger, or just gyro meat sliced and served on a hamburger bun. She didn't even know they had anything like that and checked. She said it was sliced gyro meat. So I thought this was not a great idea and looked the menu over again. I finally ordered a medium rare standard 1/2 pound cheeseburger with bacon. When the burger came out, it was; a) clearly well done, b) had no cheese and c) looked to be less than a 1/4 pound patty. So I sent it back. Then they finally served me something that was medium rare, slightly larger and had cheese on it. It was mediocre, but closer to what I ordered. I see that others have complained that this Leos seems to screw up orders. Too bad. The Leos near where I live is always really good.

Typical Coney Island fare with a wide variety on the menu. While the food was good, the service was excellent. If you have young kids, ask for the waitress Nicole. She is very attentive and knows what parents need to make dining easier. Very nice experience! Can't go wrong here!

This Leo's actually restored my faith in the chain. The Help Wanted sign on the window and the Please Seat Yourself sign made me question my families decision for lunch but once we got past that, I was very happy. When the server arrived to take our drink orders we put in our food orders. The kids had grilled cheese and fries, and French toast with sausage. One negative is they charge extra for milk or juice (instead of pop) with the kids meal. My husband had the buffalo chicken pita with the chili cheese fries and I had the small Chicken Fingers salad. Our food was served fast, good portion sides, great flavor and served at appropriate temperatures. Also happy that pop refills were brought without us asking. The total cost of your bill could add up quickly because they have no combos and every side is a la carte. One of the better Leo's in the area.

I LOVE Leos... they have good quality food for a coney place.BUT! this place is getting three stars because the staff is unorganized (which should of been solved first week of business) and they mess up something every other time. Also service is slow compared to the other Leos....truth is ill still come here but the tips will be low if the wait staff is slow and they F-up all the time.

There are very few places left where you can have a full meal for less than $10, quickly and fresh. Every time I crave breakfast, I get their combo for around $6!!! Its not fine dining, but I don't expect it to be. Its fast, convenient and delicious. Skip the desserts. Blah, but everything else is a great value.

Skip the macaroni & cheese. Tastes like it was pulled from the freezer and finished off in the microwave.

This is a great coney island. It gets 5 not because you are comparing it to a 5 star restaruant but because it is the best of the coney islands out there. Seat yourself. Immediate waitress over to leave sliverware and get drink order. The best of the best greek salads and gyros around. We have also had fish and chips, grilled cheese, chili fries, french toast, pacncakes. Alway a great "coney" meal. If you are looking for gourmet, don't look here. Jennifer and Jenna have been our waitresses. Always polite and have smiles on their faces. The owner makes his rounds to make sure everything is ok. Very nice owner and very nice staff. My go to coney now that its opened. Thank you for finally opening one up in Troy!!!

So we finally got to check out the new Coney Island in our neighborhood. We've been going to the National Coney Island close to our house for a long time. We were so looking forward to the grand opening of a new restaurant in the neighborhood. We came in a Saturday afternoon, right away we noticed how big and emty the place was. The place has been open for a couple of weeks now. This can't be good I thought. It was 1 o'clock on a Saturday afternoon and only 3 tables were occupied out of more than 20 to 25 + tables. Decor was well, there was none. It was empty and cold and a lot of tables. It looked like a school cafeteria. We ordered what our family of five always ordered which was coney dogs, fish & chips, grilled cheese sandwich. You could tell right away the cook doesn't care about what he cooks. The dogs were almost cold like they've been sitting there for awhile. The fish and chips were dark brown not like the golden brown were use to. They were cooked on the outside and cold on the inside. They were greasy and tasted like they were cooking in old oil. There was a huge amount of fries on the plate that was dark brown ,cold and again you could taste the old oil soaked in. Gross!!!! The only thing that was descent was the grilled cheese sandwich. So disappointed and was so looking forward to a new place where a family of five can eat cheap! Sorry but this restaurant was definitely a 5 thumbs down to our family. If they don't shape up I predict there could be a Grand Closing. Hope it doesn't happen and find cooks that cook with a passion. Dont serve food you wouldn't eat!!! For goodness sake how hard is it to fry food!

I also wrote this review on Urbanspoon so if this is the second time you are seeing it- Sorry for that...... I have never gotten sick after eating it but I can say I have felt like I was going to... Either it was a disgusting taste in my mouth or just had no flavor at all, this food is not worth the trip to the bathroom. DO NOT, and I absolutely mean it do not buy the CAKE! Every time I gave this place another shot the cakes were always OLD LOOKING and DRIED OUT! It's like they don't even try to make anything presentable in the least, I mean c'mon at least try to get some of it on the coney dog. Waiters are fine not too bad but I swear they have never once got my order right! Even this simplest things seem to complicated for these tiny brained owners! He does ask if everything is okay when you come to the table which is a nice gesture but it's not that hard because I can almost guarantee you will be only one out of 3-4 tables filled. So like I said the worst thing is taking down orders- it really baffles me how someone can mix up a soup with rice pudding? I have tried time and time again but this place can never seem to get anything right... After my experience a few days ago I AM SO DONE with this place! I have nothing against them either, it is just they never leave me satisfied and I have not had one experience that I can actually say was good. I would give it one last shot if THEY COULD LEARN HOW TO TAKE ORDERS PROPERLY. But I know they will never be able to do that so that will be my last time going to this Coney Island
