I work at somerset collection and have been looking for months for a good breakfast place. There are really three variables when it comes to breakfast 1. Food quality 2. Coffee quality 3. Time. This place gets an A on all three (maybe even an A+ on coffee). It's just under 5 bucks for large coffee and bagel with cream cheese. The coffee is always fresh and it's never tasted burnt to me. I've been a faithful Starbucks girl for years but this place is simply better. The place is clean and the staff is friendly. My only complaint is you do have to order across this weird plexiglass divider. All in all though it's a winner.

They are a typical Einstein. The location is kind of crappy though because in the morning it is always a cluster to get out of the parking lot and turn left onto Crooks. The employees are generally nice, although I've had the occasional sourpuss. Fluffy bagels, though!

This place is lacking. I've never had Einstein bagels before, but after having it I don't think I'll be wanting to go back any time soon. No complaints about any staff/service. Just the bagels are nothing to be impressed by. The only reason it's getting two stars instead of one is because the staff was friendly. The lox bagels were so-so and whatever seasoning is put on their everything bagels is not my favorite. It may actually have been the worst everything bagel I've ever had. Also they kind of skimped on the cream cheese. Don't get the coffee either.

Very disappointed. My wife and I came here to grab a quick lunch to go on a Sunday. Though the place was not exactly busy, the staff seemed flummoxed (I can only imagine what it's like on a weekday). This caused the line at the order taking station to lengthen. When we finally reached the order station, the person really didn't seem completely engaged. At the cash register at the other end of the line, the person again asked us what we ordered (Why can't it go from one station to the next? We are in the computer age!). Then, we had to go to the middle of the line to pick it up again! The food was also disappointing (vegetarians: this is tending toward the inner circles of Hell). Note to Einstein: when you deign to offer only one vegetarian sandwich at lunch, tell your staff NOT TO PUT BACON THAT WASN'T SUPPOSED TO BE THERE IN IT. Once disarmed of bacon, the sandwich was OK - it was moderately tasty if parsimoniously dressed with shmear. The potato salad was quite ordinary. My wife said that her sandwich was tasty. Another oddity: salt bagels (my wife wanted one on the side) were there but not on the menu. For a vegetarian, Einstein lunch food cannot stand up to competitors like Panera. If I ever do go to another in the chain, though, it won't be this one. Today's experience was the definition of sub-par service.

The service was prompt and quick. Tried the Berry goodness. Its an interesting take on bagels with berry cream cheese, topped with fresh berries and granola.

This review is a mixed bag. I love Einstein bagels, I dislike this location. Really it's like 2.5 stars. The lowdown- bagels here are great. The spinach florentine bagel is delicious. Baked on top a yummy new york style bagel is a generous amount of spinich. If you like that you need this in your life. If you only like spinach on occasion or covered in tons of cheese, etc..Don't try this. You get massive flavor and I like that. I get plain creem cheese, I refuse to tell them I want a shmear. That just sounds horrifying. The lemonade here is packed with a bright, citrus punch. Get it! The coffee here is not great. I know people rave about it, but coming from a 'I like my sugar with coffee and cream' girl, it's not something I'd get again. It tastes a step above Maxwell house. The rest of this review is about the location. It's terrible. Getting in/ out in the AM or lunch is torture. Crooks is so trafficy. Then there are maybe 2 good employees. I usually feel like basic math is unknown when I had someone cash and I've had so many issues with cashiers here that I would say don't go in if someone else is with you and willing to go for you. Its a hodgepodge of good and really, really bad. If you can brave the lot and are not in a hurry, go here for the food. If you want great service and/coffee..Starbucks is next door.

For a chain place, this place isn't bad, in fact, they're quite good!.\ They have really good orange juice which I always buy on exam days because it tastes freshly squeezed and I need all the vitamin C I can get. It's a little pricey, but worth it for the taste. The bagels are decent too, but what I really like is their selection of cream cheeses. I don't like other chain breakfast places because their bagels suck, and their selection of cream cheeses is even worse. Einstein has a really nice selection of both cream cheese and bagels, and I've never been disappointed. Also, they have great hot coffee too. The hazelnut vanilla is the best!

Went here today with a coupon, $2 off any sandwich. I've had their Tuscan Pesto Sandwich (chicken sandwich) before and it was delicious, and it was delicious today as well. It comes on a bagel thin and is about 350 calories, which is great if you're trying to diet. Sandwich would have been a bit expensive otherwise, $4.85 plus tax (not including any drinks or sides). With the coupon it was a good deal though. I get coupons from them in the mail usually and this coupon was on a bagel I had another time. Sign up for their email list and sometimes you get offers too. Hadn't been to this location before, the parking lot is TINY and kind of hard to get into if you are coming off of Big Beaver - I had to take a left into it and luckily someone stopped and let me cut across Crooks. Overall what I expect from an Einstein's. Smaller than others I've been in but still clean and welcoming.

This review is likely 2 1/2 stars rather than a 3. The entering/leaving and the parking situation is absolutely brutal. I also hadn't been to an Einstein place in a long time and didn't remember how it worked, like the fact that they bring you your food. This would've been nice to know, since I was with someone who didn't know either. We were left just hovering around the line waiting for our food to come out. I consider Einsten's a notch below Panera -- definitely below Bruegger's -- so the price seems steep: more than $7 for a small coffee and bagel sandwich. However, my southwest-turkey sausage egg white bagel thin was pretty tasty. The whites were fluffy, and the thin piece of meat packed a ton of flavor. I still don't think it was worth the cost though!

This review applies to Einstein Bros Bagels overall and no particular franchise location. In fact, I have had nothing but pleasant experiences with the staff at this location even after a 15 hour power outage late this winter when they were slammed with cold, disgruntled people in need of their morning caffeine. My comment is that Einstein had a good thing going with a broader selection of healthy choice bagel thins - to wit the BLT with turkey bacon and they have stopped carrying it. WHY? They have TWO paltry choices in this line of sandwiches now (meaning SANDWICHES) not bagel thins in a time when everyone is ramping UP their selection of more healthful choices. Your coffee had become more and more mediocre in my pretty esteemed opine as far as coffee goes and now this. My stops at Einstein will be fewer between perhaps when on road trips and not because I have a taste for one of their varied selection of good for me sandwiches. Bad move. It isn't my habit or tone to do poor reviews but I was disappointed again today when I stopped in RAVENOUS and had to head for Panera where I could get a choice that was within the parameters of my calorie choices. Call me bummed in Troy.

I love this Einstein. The employees are always super friendly and their coffee is hot and fresh.

Went there for lunch today and while the food and service were good the prices were not. $9.33 for a turkey sandwich on an asiago bagel with a little bag of chips and a medium fountain drink. Sorry but that's a little pricey for me.

This location is much quicker than the Woodward location. However, the parking lot is a bit of a nightmare! The bagels are always tasty, my favorite is Asiago with garden veggie. They are now offering $6 Monday's- 1 dozen bagels for $6! That's a steal!

Keeps up the consistency and quality of the brand. Not the best bagel you'll ever find but you know what you're getting here. I love that they make a decent latte as well.
