Del’s Pizzeria & Restaurant

Del's is always my go to for great pizza. It's been around for as long as I can remember, but so has it's décor (not necessarily a bad thing). The place hasn't changed since before I had my wedding rehearsal dinner there 33 years ago. Consistent and authentic, they seem content with the niche they fill with the regulars. You won't get your pizza in 10 minutes, but when it comes you'll love it, chewy crust, plenty of toppings and a sauce that is perfect. I order the house special w/anchovies on the side and can barely eat 3 pieces. It is truly one of Downriver's underrated gems. Kudos to Tony and his Mom.
This is probably the best pizza place in the area!! The pizza is awesome, and their breadsticks are amazing!!! The only reason that I give it 4 stars is that it is badly in need of a remodel......don't let that stop you though, you will love the pizza!!
Dels Pizza is THE best !! OMG- the Special Deluxe Spaghetti is so wonderful , so good. I want to taste its perfectness more often. NUMMY! It comes with a fresh salad & home made roll knots. My favorite Italian food since 1967! In my home town of Trenton. Sweet memories. Awesome dinner! This is one of Downrivers best kept secrets .

George’s Family Restaurant

Reviews:
We live in Arizona but my family's from Trenton originally so we aren't particularly regulars here, but we make it back to Michigan a couple times a year and when we do we make it a necessity to eat breakfast at George's at least once. And we like it here a lot...like, my-dad-once-videotaped-our-breakfast-to-my-sister-and-I's-embarrassment, a lot. There's not really too much to say though...this is a simple, friendly mom and pop restaurant that's not big or fancy but gets the job done. The food in itself is wonderful, it's a hearty meal no matter how you slice it and the wait staff makes you feel like they've known you since childhood. If you get coffee, they are steadfast in keeping your mug full. It gets busy on weekend mornings so get there before you're super hungry, although somehow the wait is never too long even if you see a bunch of people and think you'll be waiting forever.
The food was pretty good. We had ham, meatloaf and some sides with it. But they serve FROZEN pierogis which is a total turn off. The waitress told me to steer clear of them. Makes you wonder what else is made from frozen product. Also, the cleanliness was not horrible, but it definitely was not a priority.
Their club sandwich is delicious as well as their breakfasts!

Tricky Tim Horton's to get into, because there are various exits and entrances. Keep alert so you don't get hit. Breakfasts are good here and they are very busy with the locals, so use the drive-thru instead!

After reading a few really great reviews about this place I just went there and got a sub called the boss. It was pretty good but I thought it was a little ridiculous that they won't let you have the oil and vinegar in a to go container. I told them I wanted to eat it tomorrow so I needed the dressing on the side so it wouldn't make the bun soggy. They said they can't do that. So, I got to pay $9.00 for a pretty good tasting sub but I didn't get to have the dressing. Plus the thin little slices of tomatoes were also cut into quarters so all you get is a little piece of tomato about every three or four bites. Still a pretty good sub but I've been to several places that are much better. I'm not going to name them because I don't know if that is acceptable or not.
Doesn't get any better than this place, the rumors are true, huge sandwiches any really everything is good. I'm so happy one of these has opened in my backyard. It may be the best restaurant downriver.
Everyone was saying it's expensive sub but one sub filled me and my wife up w/a drink for $9 not that bad. Sub was good. Staff was entertaining.

Get my subs here all the time. #10. The kids are always nice and polite and the food is always good and exactly how I order it. Love this place.
Best jimmy johns in the state the food is always very consistent along with the speed of service. Plus they have a drive through which I find amazing however their delivery is meh I live less than a mile from them but it's considered out of range so it's hit or miss if they do deliver to me
(Had lunch there 6-13-14 4:30pm) Ive had a few hit and misses with this place but over all the subs are good and the service is ok. I have noticed a few efficiency issues, like today having 7 people walking around bumping into each other and getting in the way behind the counter when in reality they needed 5 or less to run efficiently even during rush periods. Do you honestly need 3 people standing at the sub station elbowing each other with 2 others just wandering around looking bored? But bottom line, I still eat there for lunch, and the food tastes good.

great food great service for cheap. I have know the owners for years and they have not gotten lazy with quality. I would recommend this place to any only. also has a bar
Way out in the middle of B.F. Trenton... miles from civilization and the metropolis that is Huntington Woods...LOL Consistent, tasty food. Just the kind of food you'd expect from a mom and pop diner/restaurant. Prices are more than fair and the service is decent; better if you're regular... and oddly, better if it's busy.
We are big fans. Breakfast is always fast and delicious. The ham is a big highlight and the fact that you can get onions in the hash browns is a bonus. Our favorite waitress is Diane and she is EXCELLENT!!! She remembers our order (including drinks) and is as good as can be. We also have enjoyed dinner here as well and the same thing (although there is no one like Diane) food is delicious and very reasonably priced. We have not had anything we have not enjoyed and everyone is always very friendly.

I had a burger and a beer. The burger tasted great and the beer was cold . The prices went bad either all in all I would recommend this place if your in the neighborhood.
A great place for the local yokels. I walked into the redneck riviera and lost a piece of myself along the way. Not my bar.
Stopped in for the steak special and I kind of wish I wasn't so harsh the first round. The boss was there and every time the music went up, he'd turn it back down to a normal level. There were more people in there second time around. The steak special was outstanding. A nice salad, golden fries done perfectly and a steak that was done exactly as ordered. Based on this visit we will definitely go back again. Glad I gave Marlow's a second chance.

Decent food and service at a decent price. The quintessential downriver diner. Wish I lived closer to Trenton... no, I take that back.
Best corn beef hash in all downriver. None of that crap from the can. It's right around the corner from me and I have never had a bad breakfast or quick meal from this Coney Island. The servers have all been there for years and it's a great small town feel when they know almost everyone that walks in the door. This isn't a 5 star place but it's damn good at what it does.
I live around the corner from the place. I eat here often. What drives me nuts are the stale buns every time I order coneys to the point were I don't order them from here anymore. If anything your best bet would be to get a carry-out cup of chili and make the coneys at home. They try and smother it with coney sauce to fix and #Fail. Breakfast specials are pretty amazing as well as their pies Everything is reasonably priced and pretty good as far as all the food. But the coneys with the stale buns are unacceptable. Especially since they seem to cost more then most other coneys around the area. Expensive and just not that good. Zorbas is the way to go if your in the area and want good Detroit coney's. Mostly see old people who walk from near by retirement homes. Smells a lil like bengay at times :/ also NO CREDIT CARD/DEBIT Slider. BEWARE

Tracey and Victor make everything from scratch. Homemade specials are great, including the Friday fish frys and spareribs.
This is the second time we went to The TV Deli Diner. We were very the first time was last Friday night when we had Pork Chops and the Lake Perch Dinner. The portions were generous and the food was wonderful. This time we had the Baby Back Ribs and they were very good, meaty and cook nicely. They were tender yet you have to chew them off the bone. The sauce was good, a little sweet with tanginess. I prefer something with more bite to the sauce and more orange in color then brown but they were very good and I would order them again. I think it was a Friday night special item as it was on the board with several nice sounding fish entrees. My wife liked the pork chops so well from last week she ordered them again. The sides were good and the little sweet potato dessert was nice as well as the mixed berry pie. I had the Clam Chowder soup both weeks and it was good and consistent both weeks. I can hardly wait to try the Lobster Bisque I've heard about and looking forward to doing the Pig Roast on a Wednesday. Nice place for a good meal come hungry...
First of all, this place is dingy and dirty when you walk in. The booths have tears in them...patched with duct tape. The ceiling tiles and air ducts are covered with dust and don't look like they have have been washed. The first time I ever ate there, I got 2 hairs in my food-two different hairs from 2 different people. One was baked into the topping of my bread and the other mixed into my mashed potatoes. The ribeye I ordered medium was past well and extremely thin. The gravy was definitely from a mix. The bread was good (before the one with the hair in it) and the cheese curds were a nice app. The only thing that tasted homemade was the cheesecake which was tasty. However due to the lack of cleanliness, saw of the girls sweeping then get a dessert out the dirty dessert case without washing her hands on her way out of the restaurant, the hairs in my food, and the fact that nearly everything seems straight from a can, I will never go back. I don't understand what all the hype is about.
