If you are looking for super fancy food, this is not your place; however, if you are a fan of breakfast (American style) or of Mexican- influenced dishes, give Joe's a try. We had a gorgeous taco salad enhanced by a "special" salsa offered by our server. Our resident pancake expert gushed as his entree arrived, "ooh, they're buttermilk!" The sausage gravy is nicely spicy and their coffee is great! The staff were very pleasant, not the fastest, but very knowledgeable about the menu. Overall, it was an excellent example of comfort food, diner style.
Best biscuits and gravy in town! My husband and I love this restaurant! Mostly because he loves spice and lots of flavor, and I love simple foods. They have something for everyone!
Not too shabby. It's a Mexican breakfast place, which is kinda weird but it was good they were super accommodating, but they forgot my grandmas coffee a few times. It's good, but not my favorite place for breakfast. I would give it a shot though.

Tried it for the first time today and it was great. We had a combination pizza and it was awesome. Good Portion sizes. We will be back.
This is as good as it gets. Enough said
I'm a huge pizza fan, but this just isn't good... It's maybe the heaviest pizza I've ever eaten, and that's including Gino's and the like in Chicago. The flavors aren't bad, but it just sinks to the bottom of your stomach and makes you feel like crap. Tons of bread n sauce. Sorry, I wanna love this place, I just don't.

Yo-Bubbs Frozen Yogurt

319 State St

Reviews:
Finally some frozen yogurt in St. Joe. The atmosphere is cute, with a bubbly feel to it. Love the variety of flavors they provide, along with the vast amount of toppings. The only improvements they could use is to keep the fruit fresh- the strawberries seemed mushy. I also get annoyed by the constant questions, I know they look for customer feedback, I just don't care to be hounded when I enter the place. The pricing per ounce is also more than I have seen it at other places, it'd be nice if they dropped it 10 cents, but it's not that big of a deal. Over all, it's a great place to check out, and get some fro-yo.
Look at you, St. Joe, with your super hip self-serve frozen yogurt place. Yo Bubbs is a great addition to the downtown area. The colors of the storefront might make you think it's a child's play gym, but don't be fooled, it actually houses delicious frozen yogurt in super unique flavors. I like to throw a chocolate chip cookie in the bottom of the dish and then go crazy by mixing at least two or three flavors in one cup. Daring, I know, but I'm all about variety, which Yo Bubbs offers. You pay by the weight of your yogurt, so choose those toppings wisely!
Love having a self-serve yogurt bar right downtown. The place is extremely clean, which is very important for a self-serve bar, the flavors are unique (mocha, pomegranate, birthday cake, tart), the toppings are endless (bacon, cookie dough, fruit, nuts, granola!). And they have a e-punch card (spend $40 get one cup free!). Only down side... its within walking distance of my house, so we'll be going A LOT this summer!

I am giving this place 3 stars, I'm torn because it's almost a 4, oh what the heck, I'll give it a 4. First of all the food is nothing out of the ordinary and their menu is not big at all. The great thing about this place is their outdoor seating area. They have a nice size deck facing the water and they have plenty of seating. Our server was nice and attentive. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and it had a decent flavor and I could tell it had been marinated. My son had a cheese burger, my daughter a plain hot dog on a pretzel bun which she loved, my boyfriend had the fish and chips and my other daughter had chicken strips. Everything was edible, nothing was amazing but we all were happy with our choices. We really enjoyed sitting outside, watching the boats go by, the ducks swim around and relax after spending a morning and afternoon at the beach. This is a good place for a very casual lunch with nothing fancy on the menu. I recommend it highly if you are looking to sit outside and enjoy some brews.
Nice location, hip waitress (my husband's words). Sat on the dock with a great breeze. Food was well portioned and tasty. We had Fish and chips (real chips not fries) and the melting pot with fries. My favorite was the chips. Oh and their red sangria was delightful as well. In a large glass and not a lot of ice to water it down like most restaurants do.
It's great sitting on the deck and enjoying a nice cold beer.... but their food is subpar. My soup of the day was served cold & salty. The loaded broccoli was overcooked & the fish & chips (fries) were dry and average at best. It's still a great place to enjoy the view & grab a drink though.

We love this place!! A friend stumbled upon this restaurant and told us about it; when we finally checked it out we were blown away!! Mark III is connected to a motel in St. Joe and the outside doesn't look that great... But when u get inside it is totally different!! The decor is nice; they have nice big booths and a great bar. Every time we go, we have excellent service. Both the bartenders and service have been fabulous. The menu is amazing!! So many great options. They have homemade chips and salsa - bottomless, and for only $3.99. YUM!! They also have fantastic tacos for their Tuesday night taco night special. They are so filling!! Don't forget to check out their weekday specials and happy hour!! This place can't be beat!!
Positives first: staff was super nice. Food was terrible though, either over salted or no flavor at all. Veggies were mushy, steak was bland, guac was super salty.
Went with friends for some Mexican food. I used to come here many years ago and just LOVED their chips and salsa! Their salsa is still very good but they've since changed the chips, to some bland, tasteless ones! Almost dosent make the salsa taste as good. That was disappointing, but my enchilada was great. Had plenty to make a snack the next day. My margarita was so strong I only needed 1! Enchilada 4 stars. Chips and salsa 1 star. Margarita 4 stars

We stopped in for lunch on Labor Day and we're not disappointed in the food. My husband had the steak sandwich, and I had their hamburger. Both came with fries and coleslaw. Everything was very good, and we were seated right away and got our food soon after we ordered. We didn't see our waiter after he delivered the food; however, in his defense, it was very busy, and they apparently had him running between the inside and outside tables. We would return if we are in the area again. St. Joseph is a really cute little town, and there is a great ice cream shop, Cabana's, a couple of doors down the street.

Jean is a great server very friendly and knowledgable about the menu. They don't have a ton of vegetarian options but the ratatouille is very good as well as the blueberry balsamic salad dressing and sometimes they have good vegetarian soups.
Seems like another good addition to the local restaurant scene. Their fish and chips was great I would get it again in a heart beat. Location is awesome and overall nice place to visit. Their menu could be expended a bit but since this place just opened I suspect they may step up their game.
Friendly staff and good food make up for the atmosphere. The dining room has poor lighting and terrible acoustics. I wouldn't bring someone here that I actually wanted to hold a conversation with! The wait staff were friendly and helpful. I had their version of the Moscow Mule; passable libation, nothing new or exciting. My friend had a margarita, the first one was good, the second was mainly tequila! (Which he really didn't complain about ;) They also have a decent wine list (as compared to other restaurants in the area.) Ordered the caramelized goat cheese appetizer... Out of goat cheese! Had the honey buffalo wings instead. Good, but not the best I've had. Good flavor, but they could have been cooked a little longer...the skin was rubbery instead of crispy. I had the bourbon braised short ribs for an entree. Very good! Great flavor, very tender. This was paired with crispy fingerling potatoes and asparagus, both prepared perfectly. My friend had the cast iron tenderloin. He enjoyed it. I tried a bite... The steak was tender and flavorful and prepared as ordered (medium). Overall good food and drink. Ok atmosphere. Will definitely try them again.

Moe’s Southwest Grill

This is the best Moe's location I've been to. The chips were fresh (usually Moe's chips seems stale to me), and the salsa bar was filled. The salsa bar is the draw for me, I think. Several varieties, self-serve, and a nice range of flavors. I also like the queso here, but the side is ridiculously tiny. The Homewrecker burrito was good - better flavors than Qdoba but not as good as Chipotle. The place was clean, busy, and playing classic rock at a good level.
Another Qdoba and Chipotle-like place that fails to deliver on taste. I was hoping for more, and while the food was decent, it was bland in comparison to other fresh Mexican/American places. Odd decor (look alike celebrity contest winners adorn the walls) and cheesy stereotypical "Mexican American" music mixed with best of the 80s didn't help the atmosphere much, although hardly any chain places like this have great atmosphere. The salsa bar is a great idea, and I made a couple of trips to test flavors. The rest of the food? Dry chicken, bland guacamole with an "I've been sitting out all day long" taste. The rest of the burrito was bland, with very little flavor or spice. As another reviewer said, there is no comparison with other places; Qdoba has it, Moe's burritos don't. I might go back to give it a second try, but with so many other choices I could easily pass as well.
service was good and staffs were very friendly. but food tasted pretty bad. it's similar to chipotle in that you can choose what goes in or out. but the taste is not even close. i would rather eat at taco bell....but seriously...

Panera Bread

3260 Niles Road
St. Joseph, 49085
Reviews:
This place is great! It has a great environment, and a drive through for those speedy meal days. I go every time I'm in Michigan and I love it! My friend could not be happier, she gobbled down her entire bread bowl in one bite under 5 min. (This is no lie) I would recommend this place to all my peers and anyone else who looks for a great hardy meal.
10 minutes and counting for a breakfast sandwich. Same thing last time I was here. Slowwwww.
Raise your hand if you have NEVER gone to a Panera Bread. If you are a person to agree, then you MUST go and visit one ASAP. Panera Bread has always been a favorite spot of mine for a cafe. It has never failed me in times when I needed a simple fix, a quick in-and-out, or even speedy coffee service. Not only can you walk in and place some change into a tin to get some coffee, but service there is quite pleasing. When you first walk in, you instantaneously notice the serene atmosphere of this cafe. At this specific location, a co-worker and I had to make a pit-stop as we were heading to Lansing, MI for work. I went to try for the first time a Frozen Caramel.ooOOoo *Drool* The advertisement not only made me get it even more, but it was a nice hot sunny day as well so why not?! Let me tell you, Starbucks Frappuccino has got NOTHING on this drink. Plus, it's cheaper than Starbucks. The other thing that I love about Panera is that when you're trying to do a quick in-and-out just to get coffee, they have the best system (not sure if they still implement it or not). They have a tin can that you can just deposit $1.50 in, and grab the cup (sitting outside) and just get your coffee. Though this entails you to be on the honest system, why would anyone have to cheat the system here? Anyhow, my quick fix for that hot sunny day has made me realize that I'm always going to revisit Panera Bread all over just to get a Frozen Caramel on any day throughout the summer. I also added a Chopped Chicken Cobb salad, again, a first time. It was wonderful. The ingredient inside were fresh and that's one thing that I've always noticed and enjoyed. Forget McD's quick salads!
