So I am the uncle that got the orange eggs and my niece got the vein in her sausage. This was my second try at Dimitri's. My first was for a greek omelette. The omelette was so-so. It was the kind that was folded eggs with the stuff inside. There was very little filling, and I only got feta cheese in 2 bites. The flavor was ok, but basically just tasted like eggs. I also had a salad with greek dressing, and the dressing tasted like bottled italian. My second try there was when I ordered the greek breakfast, which was scrambled eggs with tomatoes, gyro, spinach and feta. Sounds good, but woah, the eggs were dark orange and there was maybe a tablespoon of feta (they seem to be pretty tight with the feta for a greek place). The gyro was cold and seemed like it was pre-sliced and then heated, even though they have a rotisserie. They brought me back some scrambled eggs with gyro meat, but the eggs were "wet" and by then my niece had found the vein in the oddly large sausage, and all three of us lost our appetites and wanted to puke. To be fair, I doubt they made the sausage, but they do use breakfast sausage that I've never seen before. They were more like small bratts. On the bright side, they comped the entire meal, and the server was very nice and understanding. The place also looks nice, and the coffee was good. I was really hoping this place would be a hit since it's so close to the house. Maybe we should have stuck to what the name implies...pancakes? Considering all of this, and the poor location, and the brand new strip mall that hides this place, I don't think they'll make it. But hey, I'm stupid. I'll even try them one more time to see if the pancakes are good.

Very good. Nice size portions. Very friendly staff. Good menu selection. When in with pancakes on my mind but saw a lot of other things I will try next time.

These may have been the best pancakes that I have ever had! My girlfriend got a burger which was amazing and juicy, but my pineapple upside down pancakes were literally to die for. Besides the amazing food, the owner Dimitri was very friendly and inviting. I will certainly be back.

Mmm, good food, pleasant servers. Pancakes light and fluffy, served with warm syrup; breakfast croissant was yummy. Hubby and I will be back!

Great food and service! A gem in Southfield! The pancakes are light and fluffy. My favorite dish was the Chicken and Waffles. The chicken was juicy and crispy and the spicy syrup was a perfect pairing! Can't wait to go back!

Really sad that this is now Southfield Pancake House. Dmitri's was awesome, and this place is decidedly not! One page menu (front and back) with standard but VERY pricey fare. Totally out of place as compared to the location and atmosphere. My friend got a Western omelette and hash browns, toast and a coke. The omelette was $9 which is pretty steep but then the coke was $3! I had a skillet with basted eggs which were definitely over hard at best! Also, the skillet already had scrambled eggs in it. I ordered rye toast and got wheat. I guess the bigger menu at Dimitri's was too expensive or something but this place sucks now. I will not be returning.

We started ordering lunch from here to add some variety to our office food options. They don't deliver, but they're worth the drive. We've ordered the pancakes, omelette, chicken sandwiches, and skillets. Everything is fresh and hot. The food isn't greasy like some breakfast joints and everything is organized into separate boxes to avoid mixing the food. Dimitri is usually there; he is the sweetest man. The place is fairly new, has plenty of tables, and is very clean. I would recommend trying their pancakes. They are delicious plain, but they offer so many different toppings and types. I also enjoyed the veggie omelette with hash browns. We will definitely order from here from now on.

WARNING! This place is NOT Dimitri's Pancake House anymore, and does not even come close. Dimitri's was delicious with generous portions, reasonably priced, had an amazing selection, and was always busy. "Southfield Pancake House" cost me $25 for two run-of-the-mill pancake breakfasts with three strips of bacon and coffee ($2 for a cup of passable coffee, really??). Both included fruit topping that was advertised on their very small and unimaginative menu as being $1 extra, but magically became $1.50 extra when we got the bill. My pineapple "topping" was literally just some cold-ass pineapple chunks straight out of the can that made my top pancake cold and soggy. it was a long wait for our food even though the place was practically empty at 10:00 on a Saturday morning (red flag!); a gentleman walked in fifteen or so minutes after we ordered sat behind us and had his pancakes in no time (and before we did), and from our seat we could see one of our orders sitting in the kitchen getting cold. this was one of those times i wish i'd kept my ass at home and cooked a four-star homemade breakfast for $25. they get one star for our waitress who was friendly and attentive, but that's it. complete ripoff and i will not be back. i give them two more months tops before they close down.

They recently changed their menu. I was hoping to come and try this place and order crepes and eggs Benedict, but many items have been taken off their new menu. I ordered red velvet pancakes. Very soft and fluffy with cream cheese frosting. On the side I had hash browns and bacon (very dry). I would honestly say with the changed menu this place was equal to an iHop, with no specialty items and just typical breakfast foods.

I got scrambled eggs, sausage and hash browns. Something pretty hard to mess up. Things were going alright; my eggs were a little watery but it was alright. Then all of a sudden I cut into my sausage and I found what looked like a baby toe, probably a vein or artery. I lost my appetite and probably won't eat sausage for a while. On top of that my uncle sent back his food, it was cold and the eggs were orange. :( but the hash browns were good and our waitress was very nice

A lot of food for the money. $23.17 including tax. Liz had the Californian Omelette, with Michigan Cherry pancakes, I had the Country Benedict eggs with gravy, and blueberry pancakes. 2 coffees. I will be back. Service was friendly and attentive. Liz really liked the Californian Omelette. I tasted it too, awesome!

Great place to eat! Had a filling breakfast for lunch that was way cheaper than the overpriced salad at my workplace. Restaurant was extremely clean and neat. The food was perfect. It wasn't busy at all which was surprising. Don't forget to pick up a giant chocolate chip cookie for $1.

Pure Trash. Terrible service. I came in with my family around 1:30. We had too wait for over an hour and 30 minutes to get our food. We've got French toast, a bacon cheeseburger, and a breakfast meal. It wasn't even all that busy or crowed inside the restaurant. Only me and my sister gotten our food. My burger didn't even have onion, cheese, or lettuce on it. My sister personally didn't like the French toast because it was sloppy and wasn't prepared correctly. My mother still had to wait for her food. We were so fed up we just walked out. The staff were too laidback and didn't even care about how we felt. WE ARE NEVER GOING THERE AGAIN. . Never ever come here if you know what's good for you.

Came in at 1030 on a Saturday morning. Place was busy but not over crowded. I had eggs over easy cheesy grits and sausage links. Food was very good. Service was challenged. This is not an efficient run restaurant. Took way too long to get my check to pay to leave. Actually had to have the hostess find my server so I could pay to leave. Kitchen seemed slow also.

HIDDEN GEM! My husband and I stopped in here after we tried eating at the Beverly Hills Grill and it was packed. We were pleasantly surprised with not only the portion sizes and the price, but the taste was spectacular. For a family style diner type place, this is as good as it gets. My husband had the banana nutella crepes, and I tried the farmer skillet (no ham or eggs... I know, it's weird!). Both were hot, fresh and delicious. The service was just okay, nothing too extraordinary, but the food made up for that. We will be back!

It's not Dimitri's anymore. Far less extensive menu. Breakfast was good, but again mainly the basics. I miss some of the things from the previous menu.

First time here and we will definitely be back! I had the chicken bayou skillet and it was delicious . Restaurant was very clean, service was friendly and the only thing I would add is some type of music. I like the background noise.
