This place has always been my close to home retreat. My number one reason to come here is to hang out with friends and enjoy the Honey Mustard Chicken Club Sandwich! I listened to a friend of mine and tried this sandwich about five years ago. I have been hooked ever since! It's a simple and tasty sandwich made with a huge piece of char broiled chicken drizzled with honey mustard then topped with swiss cheese and bacon. All of the sandwiches and burgers come with fries and coleslaw. The sandwich prices range from $6.95 to $7.65. I am happy that over the years this place has transformed from this hole in the wall sports grill into a local hot spot! The menu has expanded in the last few years too. They now make specialty pizzas and you can order an individual or a whole pizza that will serve about four people. Prices for their pizzas range from $6.95-$12.95. The menu also has an entire page of Yugoslavian dishes... including coffee. I also love the Cevapi which is Yugoslavian sausage links composed of a pork, lamb and beef mix; It is served with chopped onion and seasoning. I would vote that as my second favorite next to the Honey Mustard Chicken Club! I will forewarn you about ordering soft drinks here! I don't know why but the pop is usually flat! I stick with beer or water instead. Also, the place can get loud during games and it does get a lil' smokey inside too. If your tired of the smoke you can escape to their patio which I love this time of year and it is quieter too. The owners are nice and the service is usually prompt except when they are super busy of course. This is a great place to meet for drinks or to watch the game. The whole place is pretty much surrounded with flat screens. You can literally see the game from anywhere in the room! There use to be a separate game room with a pool table, two dart boards, juke box and a couple arcade games! After the recent remodeling the wall was knocked down so it is all open now, and they added a second pool table. A few years ago before all the remodeling took place I would come here to relax back when I was still in college. I would shoot pool here even though the 8 ball was missing from the table! There were two dart boards but only three good darts could be fished from the dart bucket. So I actually had to share darts when I would play cricket! There also use to be one big pull down screen when games were on! But the allure of this place was the food because you could get hearty meals at low prices! I mention this past not to make it sound like it use to be a dump, but to show how far this place has come. Even when Art N Jakes wasn't all updated and remodeled, it still had that cozy neighborhood vibe. This place will always be my gem. Throughout all of the remodeling and changes I am happy that the quality of the food and overall atmosphere has stayed the same.

I've been going to Art and Jake's since I was four years old. Its appearance has changed over the years, but it's still the same comfortable, friendly sports bar that it's always been. I come here as often as I can and get the same thing every time, so I can't say too much about the menu. I can tell you that their wings and fries are DELICIOUS. Everyone I've ever been there with, family, friends, and boyfriend, have always enjoyed their meal. One of the best things about Art & Jake's is their service. The food comes out super fast, right when it's hot. The waitresses are all very friendly and attentive. Great place to hang out and enjoy some food and drinks!

My group and I were here to catch a game on, granted, a Friday night. We could tell you what happened, but not what was said about it because we could barely hear. It didn't help that bar was packed, which means everyone there feels the need to raise their voices up 10 notches. I don't think the sound inside was good either. I was also really bummed that when we finally could hear near the end, the TVs were turned off and top 40 music blared immediately. It was as if someone was waiting with their hand on a button to make the change. We sat through close to three hours of barely no sound from the game, and we think it'll be worth it to watch a little bit of interviews and now THAT was taken from us too? Trying not to be a bitter fan here, but I feel like a sports bar should probably offer a better in-game experience. Besides that fact (the sole reason of being here), our waitress could not have been more attentive and friendly, always asking us if we need refills. I'm sure she was busy all night. The food was good for a sports bar. Spinach and artichoke dip tasted from scratch and we had a healthy plate of chips to go with. The nachos had a good proportion of chips to toppings. They have great deals on Foursquare. We used the newbie special to get a free appetizer with the purchase of two menu items. The other deals are $5 off $20 and a BOGO, excluding specials.

Pros: The food quality here is so unbelievably surprising. This is the only place in town that get a smoked gouda aioli burger and calamari right before 2 am. The fries are oddly some of the best simple fries I've ever had. I find myself here quite often for late night eating. The menu is extremely extensive, ranging from every burger or sandwich imaginable to a plethora of meixcan and lebanese dishes. While I haven't sampled too much I highly recommend the fish and chips, pizza, fries, and my favorite, the four alarm burger with gouda, bacon, and onion straws. Cons: The noise. On the wrong night, this place is LOUD. Not even dance party loud, it's almost unbearable noise concert loud. The loudness being nothing but EDM remixes of top 40 songs usually makes it too unbearable to dine-in. I've usually chosen to get my food to go.

Finally trying the $ 1 Burger that Ive heard about from others! Word on the street was they have a $1 burger on Wednesdays [ dine in only ] So some co-workers invited me for a couple of pops after work & I joined in. I pass this place 5 times a day & always saw the lot was packed & always had a crowd. Yes it is a sports bar, but a very nice, clean well lit & bright sports bar, with sturdy tables ,comfy chairs & plenty of Tv's . Lindsey was our server, and she was personable & kept refills filled. Bonus was she gave us all separate checks , which I personally like ! She was a 5 star / 20% server. The Burger looked to be about 6-8 ounces & served on a unique bun , with lettuce only all olives, peppers, onions, etc are .50 per item So I had the basic burger $1.00 Sauteed Mushrooms & Onions & Jalapenos bringing my grand total to $2.50 It was a VERY GOOD BURGER! I'd put it a very close 2nd to the Shamrock Irish Pub

Pros: Ton of TVs so that every table is a good seat for a game; service was fast and friendly; food was above average for a sports bar, and while I didn't sample it myself, I saw plenty of folks chowing on the Serbian menu items. Cons: I came here for a game and this joint is LOUD, and not exactly in a cheer-for-the-home-team-kind of way. Lots of loud talking. It must be an acoustics thing or something, but this place made me fear for my ear drums; beer selection was weak, with a bunch of Miller Lites and whatnot. No local Michigan beers in 2014? Come on... Probably won't be back.

Mmmmm ranch dressing. Yes, I like the ranch. I like when bars and restaurants make the Hidden Valley® buttermilk ranch dressing. That's the good stuff. Nice and lo-fat(not). Slather it on your chicken tenders and you're all set. This is what they do here. I had them with their fries. Nice combination. Fries and chicken hot and delicious. They were a little pricey since I shoot for the $5.00 lunch. Nice sports bar for watching a game. Large screens. Lots of tubes. Good fast service. This looks another place to stop after work for a beer and burger

Shockingly enough, this place has fantastic food. It's worth going in to check out what they have. I was there in the daytime so I don't know how the night time crowd is.

Wall to wall televisions and you know immediately you are in a Sports Bar. Which makes it inexcusable that they do not have a list of beers, either on tap or in bottles. The service is way below average and the burgers are passable.

I recently came across Art & Jakes and am surprised they are not more popular. Everything on their menu (huge variety - burgers, fish, pizza, wraps, ethnic food, and more) is amazing, and reasonably priced. My friends and I meet here all the time for food and/or drinks, and are always floored by how good the food is. My favorite place to eat in the area, hands down.

We started going here when it opened. The place was wonderful, felt like Cheers, everyone knew your name. The food was great. Thick juicy pork chops, large piece of salmon, great burgers. There were lines to get into the place on a Friday (the day we always went). Then it all changed, the food quality and portions went south. The pork chops were thin and tough, the salmon portion was cut to a quarter of what is was. We stopped our weekly trek there and only occasionally would go to see what was going on. No longer were there lines to get in. We recently went and got a pizza, with mushrooms. It was the worst pizza I ever had - they were using canned mushrooms on the pizza. Wow, what happened to the gem that used to be there? They need a visit from Restaurant Impossible. How can a business owner let his place go like that? Aren't they interested in satisfied customers and lots of customers? I don't get it.. Dan

Finally a place in the Shelby Twp area that is family friendly, has great food, drinks, and sports and is not a "coney island"! Kids eat free on Sunday which is great but the fact that the menu is full of tasty options is a dream come true. Everything appears to be made in house vs some other local places that are fronts for Gordon Food Service. The tomato-cucumber salad is awesome. My 6 & 8 year old boys couldn't even finish their pizza ( they always finish). Can't wait to go back here and take a very long break from Buffalo Wild Wings.

I come here 4-5 times a week there's only a handful of things I eat here Cajun rajun sandwich to pizza and they are beyond any bar food, today I went out of the ordinary and had the firehouse roast beef and that was beyond good I have never had anything here that wasn't over the top! Art n jakes always brings me 5 star service and food!

Me and my brothers were here last night. We sat in a low table by the door. We waited 2 minutes than another 5 minutes for our waitress to come and get us something to drink. Finally, our waitress showed up so I ordered a Victoria my favorite "Mexican beer" I was disappointed they did not have Victorias anymore than I order a domestic beer. We order a two dozens of hot wings. They were amazing. beef Nachos were fantastic. We had great time. Our waitress was very friendly always asking if we needed anything. Great atmosphere. Clean place.
