The wife and I have eaten a zillion times at the Sault McDonalds. The food is always good, warm and just like the picture. The counter help is sometimes a little week but that is understandable because of using teenage help. Am sure it is overwhelming to them trying to figure it all out. It does seem to function like a fine machine most of the time. Keep up the good work.

Excellent burgers, mozzarella sticks and shakes/ malts! Raspberry shake was exceptional!
We decided to try Clyde's after only going to West Pier for many years. We'll keep going to West Pier. Clyde's is ok, but the parking is too crowded. I had the Jr Cheeseburger and it was average. The fried cauliflower was good, and the chocolate shake was too sweet. Nothing to write home about! The service was very friendly, which is always a huge plus, and the reason for the fourth star!
This is really like stepping back in time. There are no corporate gloss-overs, no over-the-top 50's kitsch, no roller skates or contrived menus here, this is real drive-in food. Who would have thought Sault Saint Marie would harbor such a gem. You can eat inside or have curb side service. The curb side service was remarkably quick, efficient and helpful. The waitress helped place the food rack on my car window, helped dish out the food and anticipated all the needed condiments before I could ask. They offer the Big C burger for around $8 and this puppy is HUGE but I passed on it and had two regular cheeseburgers at $3.50 each (one burger was filling enough). These are how real hamburgers should taste, no fancy frills, just good quality meat and cheese on a soft bun wrapped in wax paper. The french fries are homemade and tasted great. Milkshakes were excellent (I had butterscotch). Even the chili is homemade (it had a ketchupy taste, I wouldn't order it again). There are other offerings like a buffalo burger, fish sandwiches and onion rings which I didn't try. Keep it simple and enjoy this place for what it is (and isn't). Great burgers and fries expound. If you are sick of the whole overpriced corporate burger thing I would suggest eating here in a hot second. I would definitely drive out of my way to eat here again. Highly recommended.

I'm so glad I decided to check this place out while I was in Sault Ste. Marie! It's definitely in a great location with a really cool view of the locks! I had the Mozzarella Amore sandwich with some of their homemade french fries and a really delicious homemade pasta salad. It was really REALLY delicious!
Awesome lunch! Crab cake panini and Cesar salad were delicious. Service was great as well. Would definitely go back if on the area.
Organic, free range food - how happy I am to have found this place (actually it was recommended but they didn't tell me about the quality of the food). Sounds like they frequently have a wait. I was also recommended to go to maloneys. Karl's is not a pub and is more fine dining instead. Definitely recommend it.

No dine in. Pricey pizza, but by far the highest quality ingredients that you can taste. Taste / quality is 5 stars. 4 star is due to price. They do have e-mail deals though with specials. Dare I say gourmet?
It's really pricey, but it sure is good! So loaded with toppings, I could only eat 2 slices!
Ordered for the first time today and was very impressed. Fast delivery time, and quality food. Fresh toppings, and very tasty. Only thing I could complain about is that it's a tad bid on the greasy side, but other than that A+!

We stopped into this place on a whim. The food was good, especially the hummus. Service was good and made you feel at home without overwhelming you with attention. Just right, I would say.
Excellent food! The spanikopita is amazing and a must try! Staff are friendly and helpful. This restaurant is a rare find in the U.P.
Rating is based on standards in Sault, where this seems one of better choices. We had hits with an excellent basil feta burger (a special the days we were there but waitress says usually available even if not on menu) and a combo plate with four separate Greek specialties. Friendly staff, pizza parlor ambiance.

You know what I really didn't expect when I came to this place? A huge homemade pizza with all the fixings (even pickles if we wanted them!) that fed four people and two pictures of draft craft brews (plus an extra on the house because the keg was kicking out a lot of head) for about $20...TOTAL. I mean WHAT?! This is hands down the best deal I've had at a bar/restaurant in ages! We showed up on a Thursday evening and were the only people enjoying the pizza but I heard that the bar was packed the previous day and they ran out of pizza! So plan accordingly (not exactly sure how to make that happen). Also if you want to dance (I'm guessing on a weekend night), there's a huge dance floor! If you want to play pool, they have that too! And if juke boxes are your jam, go ahead and take the reigns on that in the corner.

Great fresh food. Fair prices and really friendly service. So many desserts made fresh. I even ordered a cappuccino to go.
The perfect lunch cafe. Great sandwiches, and soup! Have been here multiple times and have left satisfied each time. Love the homemade atmosphere, and the staff is very friendly. Little on the pricy side, but you're paying for what ya get!
Love this place! We usually have breakfast here a few times while we're on vacation. We enjoy the place itself and the free wi-fi, with fun passwords! The food is always tasty. We've ordered eggs, omelets, sausage, ham, sourdough pancakes, English muffins, fruit, cookies, and much more and enjoyed it all! The coffee and hot chocolate are good. We've always had kind service. This is a great, relaxing place!

Lockview Restaurant

Reviews:
The building itself is non identifiable if you don't know what your looking. The only huge identifying make is the old 1970s neon sign out front. Upon first entry the place has a cozy feel to it and a great view from the second story. The menu is confusing at first with the look of a newspaper. The food was excellently with the exception of the fries which were dry and under fried. The white fish was fried and did not have a greasy taste to it. Overall it was a good restaurant for tourists and fish lovers
Our first time visiting downtown Sault Ste Marie, excellent choice. My husband is the most pickiest eater and we both LOVED the food. I had the reuben and he had the seafood combo. Wonderful food and great service. I highly recommend Lockview. Would definitely visit again.

The outside of the restaurant didn't look good but we went in anyway since we were out of options. We were surprised at the quality of their food. Appetizers wings were big and hot. Pasties were good. I love the fried fish at the buffet. They were fresh and they were cooked just right. Their soups are tasty too. Their clam chowder were so creamy! Only problem is... it is a smoking environment and I didn't enjoy the second hand smoke from the lady sitting next to our table. Price is good, most dinner entrees are under $10 and the dinner buffet was only $11.99.
Great selection, over-the-top portion sizes, decent food, and good service. I was traveling with 7 other family members... this place worked out well because the menu has something for everyone. The roast beef they were serving at the buffet was to die for. The turkey meal was rather salty. I personally ordered a half size of spaghetti and meatballs. It was huge: plenty for two! Unfortunately, our leftovers went to waste since we were traveling and could not refrigerate them. Overall we had a good experience.
It was alright. The sausage gravy was excellent, but the eggs were pretty rubbery. Great staff, though. I'd go back.

4. Yep 4. Why 4? Because the corned beef hash sunny side up with some franks red hot sauce made my entire day. Is this place gourmet, NO. Is it fancy? NO. Is it little more than an old school diner with some cool vintage auto memorabilia? NO. But it is what it is and it does it well. It's an old school greasy spoon diner and I loved every friggin bit of it
We stopped in at Studebakers on Saturday morning prior to us taking the Soo Locks Tour cruise. We were seated immediately.....the restaurant was immaculately clean and we had the best waitress! Our food was delivered quickly, everything was cooked to perfection and well,,,they had awesome coffee! We highly suggest!!
Had diner here on a Wednesday evening, seemed to have a a lot of locals which is a sign of a good place. The bathroom was CLEAN as was the rest of the restaurant. Had bean and ham soup which was good. My husband had a fish dinner (sorry forgot what kind of fish) which was a large portion and cooked nicely. Prices reasonable for the tourist area.
