I LOVE this place! Such a cute interior, incredibly friendly staff, and yummy food and beverages! I may be moving to the Saline area pretty soon, and I can't wait to make this place a regular stop : )

Just had them for a catered lunch - the sandwiches (especially the chicken salad) and the cookies (I could literally eat half a dozen more of the oatmeal apricot cookies) were amazing. The price point for each boxed lunch was perfect for our budget and hungry residents. Thanks!

Very nice staff. Coffee is good. Had the Southern Pecan today, good flavor, not too sweet, not burnt like that one chain.....always stop when I leave my bro's to drive home...

Best scones and sandwiches in the area. Baristas make real cappuccinos

I absolutely love this place! The coffee is delicious and a great value when compared to other local shops. The homemade baked goods are to die for, too! I especially love Kim Kaster, the owner, and her staff. They always make me feel welcome and are so willing to foster local talent and the schools. What more could Saline ask for?

Loved the soup I got today-tomato and basil. The sandwich was wonderful, too!! Great atmosphere!

Great service. Nice atmosphere for a strip mall coffee shop. The service overcomes the coffee short comings. The espresso bar is the better alternative if you have the time as the brewed coffee needs some help. Never eat anything but that seems like a popular lunch place for soups and sandwiches.

Great local coffee shop! The coffee is okay, I can't remember the brand but it's decent enough. The service and food are great! The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. The scones are divine, I cannot resist them no matter how hard I try. Salads, soups and sandwiches are all great all well, everything tastes very fresh. Their prices are a bit high but I'm willing to pay a little more for great food and service!

The aesthetic is modern and hip, with some local art on the wall, and big windows make it bright. The coffee was good. The food was okay, not great. The 1/2 sandwich tasted fine, but was tiny in size. The soup was WAY too thick, much thicker even than a chowder or bisque. Closer to mashed potatoes. Seriously, its meniscus formed a small pile on top of the soup. It tasted okay though. The tables were a bit dirty, which was annoying considering there was nobody there. The bathroom was a little oasis though, very clean and dare I say "cute". Finally, the staff seemed friendly.

This is my parents' go-to place, so I end up there at least once each visit back to Michigan. The staff is great. They are super friendly and go out of their way to anticipate and accommodate their regulars. I am a tea drinker, so it's tough to really rate their barista skills since putting a bag in hot water isn't too complicated. They have a decent tea selection though. There is a TON of space with big tables and a variety of chairs, so it's a pleasant place to sit and do a little reading or work. They've also catered at my parents' place at least once. They made some great egg casseroles for my brothers' post-wedding brunch that were super tasty, the server was way fun and attentive, and from what my mom said, they did it all super cheap. Keep up the good work, Saline!

Loved this place! Can't believe how many times I've driven by this place and haven't stopped in. Its a welcome alternative to the crappy coffee choices after Ypsi, cruising down Mich Ave. I had a cold brew and it was reasonably priced, fine tasting, and served with a smile. They have ample space to sit but only a few comfy chairs. They've also got a local author bookcase, and local art for sale on the walls. Free WiFi, so if you need to get some work done in a quiet and uncrowded space, stop here. They also have some coffee t shirts and other good stuff. I didn't have anything to eat, but there are sandwiches and baked goods as well. I'll definitely be stopping back in.

Cute place with lots of homemade food items (pastries to wraps and soup). They seem to really care about community involvement and supporting local causes.

Poorly constructed cappuccinos on several visits. 3/4 cup of milk foam and 1/4 cup milk in harsh espresso is not an enjoyable cappuccino. They are in need of lessons. Management should work on construction techniques. See Comet, ugly mug, etc. even Starbucks I suspect realized their cappuccino construction techniques were poor and rolled out a flat white which comes very close to a quality cappuccino. good luck, but not an upper tier coffee destination.

I really do hate to be negative, but there is nothing here that works. Tasteless latte, food is of poor quality ingredients poorly prepared. We did not finish our drinks, and I did not finish my lunch. Waste of time, energy and money.

There is live music at Brewed Awakenings on Monday nights. I knew that, but never had a reason to be there on a Monday night until the DSL went out at our house. Hubby and I were the only two with laptops, trying to get work done. The rest were all sitting with their chairs turned toward the fireplace and the musician. We enjoyed songs from several people, one at a time, mostly on acoustic guitars amplified with a sound system. (It was a little loud at peak moments, to my sensitive ears.) They played a combination of familiar and original tunes. One man played the upright piano. Hubby said, "I wonder if it'll sound like an old west bar piano." Hey, that's what uprights sound like. He's used to his mom's baby grand. ~~~ The chai latte was my fave, until I tried my girlfriend's fave ... a peach iced tea made by Erika. Intense peach flavor, low in calories, and made quickly from a peach Bigelow tea bag. Erika rocks!

I stopped in here to get a little coffee because someone else in the house had more than their fair share that day - I won't name names. I ended up getting a pumpkin spice latte. The service is excellent, but the latte was just a little too sweet for me. I would get it again in a pinch, and definitely sit back and relax in the shop. It's not as warm as I'd like, but overall I could easily hang out and waste some time here. They let me try their soup - and it's quite delicious (in fact amazing - especially if you like mushrooms). The parking seems pretty good - though I really wasn't there during what I would expect to be the busy hours. Overall nice edition to the Saline area - as they don't really have a great place to get coffee. The other nice thing is that they sell both ground and whole-bean coffee. I am glad that they are there to help me w/ my love of coffee. Many thanks...

Love this neighborhood cafe. My husband and I usually stop in for coffee about 3 times a week.... Usually after our workouts at a local gym. Their scones are delicious, best I've ever had. We have also enjoyed their breakfast paninis and the soup and sandwich combos for an occasional lunch. The Mushroom Brie soup is my favorite. The staff are friendly and professional. Much prefer coming here for a cup of joe than at one of those chain coffee shops.

I witnessed awful treatment of staff on all of my three visits to this cafe. I really felt uncomfortable while trying to enjoy my coffee. The woman who appeared to be the owner was behaving, and speaking to staff, in ways that made me cringe. That type of thing, for me, really ruins any future dealing with a company.

I have taken many of my breaks at this place and I really like it. I really like the food and the coffee is good but they are a little expensive. I got a salad one day that was almost $7 and when it came out to me, I was a little shocked to see how small it was. It was almost a little small for a side salad. I wanted another because I wasn't full at all but didn't want to pay that much. Great atmosphere and staff is pretty friendly most of the time. Bathrooms were very clean. Staff friendliness - 4/5 Selection of menu - 5/5 Price and value - 3/5 Food taste and quality - 4.5/5 Atmosphere - 5/5
