I'm normally a Buffalo Wild Wings fan, but based on my experience at the Ferndale location a little while, I won't be going back. The waitress was extremely rude and unfriendly and seemed bothered to be waiting our table. When we explained her behavior to the manager, his first excuse was "That's her personality", which wasn't true based on watching her interact with other customers. His next question to us was "Did you flirt with her?", sorry but no, if I wanted beer, wings and women I would have gone to a strip club. Bottom line, I wasn't impressed with the service and won't hold it against the company as a whole, but the server and manager have a to work on in regards to customer service.

Horrible service! Tried to place a carry out order but was hung up on twice! Then sat on hold for at least 5 minutes before speaking to someone.

Buffalo Wild Wings - seen one, seen 'em all, right? But if you like BWW, this is a good franchise to visit. Service is decent, crowd trends friendly, and it's a bit less cavernous than the locations in Novi and Livonia.

I live near this place. It's really fast food quality, but what you would expect from a BWs. Often, I wonder how bad their details must be if they visually SHOW you your take out order before giving it to you. Today, I realized as the teeny bopper twits behind the counter FORGOT Our wing sauce after showing it to me. Rarely do they have specials and frequently their food is poorly prepared. Unless every other place in town is packed, skip this joint.

First of all, its so asinine for people who dont like wings, to give crappy reviews whining about the wings. Ok rant over. Right off the bat, let me say this is probably one of the friendliest BBWs I've ver been to. Everyone was smiling and greeted us cheerfully. Our waitress was the bubbliest little thing LOL Drinks and appetizer came almost immediately! Food came shortly after. The wings were great. Not the best but certainly not the worst. Nice heat & good classic wing flavor (Medium). My only suggestion is that they need to work on presentation. It looked like they just tossed the wings (boneless) & fries in a shallow bowl and brought them out. And the fries, while tasting decent, were very limp and pale looking. For a chain, there are worse places that you could eat than BWWs. Fun lively atmosphere and a zillion tvs. Decent bar food. What more do you really want?

I had never been to a buffalo wild wings because we generally avoid any establishment that screams or whispers sports bar. But I love chicken wings and I wanted them so bad! So we stopped here. It wasn't as scary as I had imagined. More families and less frat boys. It's clean, the waitress was pleasant. She bought us the sauces to try before we decided which ones we wanted on our wings. Which we really appreciated since we almost ordered the parm garlic sauce but then discovered it tasted like italian dressing. That's just strange. We landed on spicy garlic, honey bbq and carribean jerk. Honey bbq was good of course. The carribean jerk was pretty good and the spiciness was perfect. But spicy garlic ended up being our fav! We'll be back!

Ok... disclaimers first. I'm not a huge sports fan. I'm not a huge socialite. I'll take great service over average food any day. This is where the two stars comes in. They're a chain restaurant. Their food comes via truck, frozen, and there is absolutely no reason/motivation for any of the workers to feel any genuine pride in what they do and where they work. I understand this. It saddens me on a superficial level, but it is a bummer nevertheless. Despite all of this, I find myself here more often than not. As a sports bar-style venue, it's pretty good. Tons of TV's, always a game on, and the trivia/poker system/controllers are fun. The food is hot, tasty, but not really that far above what I consider to be fast-food level fare. What really brings the score down here is the customer service. Keep in mind, when I say bad, I'm not talking "they spit in my food" or "this place is filthy" or "that waiter just shouldered me out of the way as he walked by!". But it's almost like a game going here, walking in and wondering "I wonder how bad it's going to be this time?" I'd say about half the time the waiters/waittresses wouldn't even make eye contact with you when they were introducing themselves/taking your order... as if you were the biggest thorn in their side. I mean, if they knew me they might feel that way. But they don't. So there goes their excuse. Anyways, it's just frustrating that it's hard to get even simple things, like frequent visits (except when they're super busy, I understand that) or refills. One time took the cake though. It actually makes me laugh out loud to think about it. I had ordered a split 24-wing order... half parm garlic and the other half mango habenero (helluva combo, right?). They brought it out and one of them was wrong... I think they gave me spicy garlic instead of parm garlic. So I kindly sent it back. No attitude... this stuff happens. I kid you not. The spicy garlic came back as parm garlic... with spicy garlic UNDERNEATH it. Yes. They re-rolled/re-applied the parm garlic OVER the spicy. Wow. You almost got me there, guys. Very nice. Anyways, bottom line? Average chain wing restaurant plagued by a tarnished work force. Real bummer for an anchor business in Ferndale. But on the bright side, it could be worse. They could be Mr. B's in Royal Oak... but that's another review. I'm saving THAT one for a rainy day... ;-)

Gave it 2 tries and was disappointed at the food both times. With this being a chain restaurant I would expect some consistency, but this location falls short.

I've only stopped in here once but it was definitely worth it. The number of sauces is great: there's something for everyone, from the mild-mannered winger to the I-hate-my-tongue-and-want-to-kill-it-by-melting-it spicy sauce lover. The chicken is great, too. You can't really go wrong with either boneless or bone-in; whatever floats your boat, it's all good. I went on a slow day, a nice warm afternoon, so I don't know what to expect on sports-ridden evenings considering that the walls are plastered with TVs that each show a different game, but it's probably hectic! Even on that slow day you could really feel it in the air that on the night of a Red Wings playoff game, the place is littered with fans sporting their jerseys and complete strangers high-fiving each other everytime we score. The simple matter is: if you love wings and love sauce, then dammit go eat there!

I've been here quite a few times since early 2003 when I moved to the area for college. It's a decent location in downtown ferndale. I think the best time to eat here is probably during the summer, the front of the building opens up and you get some nice open air. Food is standard BW3's. In all the times I've been here I've only had one bad experience with a server. Normally they are pretty quick at lunch. If you plan on going to eat and watch a game, go early. It gets swamped in there.

So my entire family raves about this place. "They have the BEST WINGS", they say. I tried the wings, along with several sauces. The wings were mediocre at best. Avoid it like the plague.

Pretty standard stuff for a chain restaurant, I guess. The food is okay, the service is mediocre, the atmosphere is "We Have TVs" (not that there's anything wrong with that, I love TV). For some reason this location doesn't seem as good as the other ones I've visited, but the reasons are not really huge ones so maybe it's just me. I've been to this location twice now, both times during lunch. The first time, one of my co-diners got the wrong sauce (Medium instead of Mild) and my boneless wings had way too much overdone breading. The second time, both orders were correct, although my Naked Tenders tasted extremely salty! I've never had them before, maybe that's just how they taste. Anyway, both times the service was pretty slow, despite the fact that the place was nearly empty. But, both times I was with people I enjoyed talking to, so it wasn't so bad to have to wait. I'd probably just give them 2 stars, but the Buffalo Chips are reliably awesome and I like that they have a little patio out on 9 Mile. So they get an extra star for that. Plus, a 2 star rating seems pretty bad, and they really aren't THAT bad. I've eaten at better places, in fact I've eaten at better Buffalo Wild Wings locations, but I don't mind eating here if I'm with a friend who just loves chicken wings. It's probably a good place to watch a game, but I think that if I really have to go to a fratboy-magnet sports bar, Rosie's has better TV's and better food.

I had to take some takeout back when I got an order of boneless wings that were ALL about the size of a quarter. Pretty inconvenient to have to get in the car and go back to the place where you just picked up your takeout.

Came here the other day and gave the Boca Veggie Burger a try. I know, its a wings joint...but they do have a veggie option for those looking for something different. The burger itself is larger than a normal patty and was done up nicely. For about $7, it came with fries. Filling, healthy alternative. I was very happy with the speed of service, especially for a Saturday night with such a large group in attendance for all the football games. My only complaint would be the added charge for extra condiments. I mean, its only 70cents extra, but seriously WTF...BWW just lost a star on that.

inedible. the chicken wings taste like they have been reheated/cooked three or four times over. chewy, nasty - not the fun bar food one might crave. the rest of the menu follows suit.

Service is a little slow. Otherwise pretty good.

Exactly what I was after- wings, spice, chilled beer, and tvs. The sauces are really good and they know how to cook their wings. I will be back.

Good food, I love their variety of sauces. The service was great !! We were even offered beverages while we were waiting. It was very busy, the manager was helping wait tables. And of course I love Ferndale..

I've been here for a few birthdays and my friends like this place even though they acknowledge that it is a rip-off. I think the only redeeming things about this place are the National Trivia Network's Playmakers that you can play trivia, poker or other games on and the 40 cent wings on Tuesdays. Tons of TV's is what makes the place here; i'd rather just go somewhere with a wide-screen HDTV and leave it at that. From Sunday-Thursday they have drink specials that aren't even worth it. If you're going to go to BWW to watch a game then do yourself a favor and hit up the Post Bar in Ferndale beforehand for their drink specials. It is only a block away from Buffalo Wild Wings across Woodward.

For a sports bar it does a pretty good job. I certainly prefer it to Damon's. If you are with a large group of diverse people, a place like this serves the purpose of being at least agreeable to all people. The beer is cheap, most people can find something they like on the menu, and if you don't like the people you are with you can stare at one of 30 TV screens all around you. As for food, it is vegetarian unfriendly. They have a veggie burger and it is plain and boring.

I went last night to have supper with my husband and son.... First of all, the service was excellent. The waitress was very attentitive and smiled alot. However, my son ordered Mac and Cheese and got Cheese Sticks, which he never complained about, he just ate them (Its loud and he's soft spoken). However, I had the blackened chicken salad. The piece of chicken that was diced was ok until i found 2 different pieces of bones in it... well, my mouth found them :( I know they dont hand cut their chicken.. so its not the restaurants fault, but it is a chain. The beer was nice and cold :)

Great wings, and unbelievably fast service. Stay away from the hottest level though, they will hurt you!

Great location, below mediocre food. Think Chuck-E-Cheese for sports fans.

I love this place, when in doubt... go to B dubz. I been going here for about 2 years and I can't get enough. The service is usually slow but the food is usually good. Occasionally the wings will be dry or something messed up but I just complain and get new ones. Big fan of new dry rub flavors and spicy garlic! Potato wedges are da bomb too! (**Hold the cheese**)

I had lunch at Buffalo Wild Wings over the weekend and really enjoyed myself. First of all, they had a Ms.Pacman game. It was over as soon as I noticed it. I was kind of rusty since it's been a while since I played, but nevertheless, it was cool to play. They also have these cool quarter machines that pick up prizes. Yeah they're a rip off but they kept my son occupied. Yippie! Our waitress was great. Brought our food out quickly and was attentive overall. There first football game of the season for Michigan was on so the crowd was really into it. I also enjoyed the fact that it was loud because my son fit right in. The crowd was mixed in age and race and was cool from my perspective. My husband loved his food and so did my son. Mine was meh. I was so excited about the Ms. Pac Man game I didn't look at the menu long enough. Overall I enjoyed my visit.

Every body loves wings right? It is a chain restaurant so it is what they say they are. Wings that are cheap, fried in cheap grease and covered in a sauce. Pick whatever sauce you want to cover up the most mediocre chicken wing out there. What is good about the Ferndale location is the staff. I have been there a few times to watch the game and have noticed the patrons. How anyone could work there and keep a smile is beyond me. I watched a manager return a drink because "I order a strong island and this just taste like a a long one" they ended up getting their drinks comped as well as their food. The poor waitress waited on these on them for nothing the group left no money at all. I felt so bad for her when I payed my tab I had to leave a few extra bucks. Getto as all get out. If you ever go there look around at what your poor server has to deal with and tip a little more.

Okay another national chain place. For buffalo wings its not bad but nothing compared to my grad school days at the U of R in Rochester NY (go Yellowjackets!!) Yeah, its a sports bar. Great location for people watching besides the wings, and my son loves the video games (here's a kid who plays football. You think I could get him to watch with the 'ole guy as he critiques the football games. Although I owe him a dozen wings, he picked USC to beat Penn State--it was a blow out. Guess he knows football). Food is quick (its wings folks) and the deep-dish apple pie with a swirl of caramel sauce is awesome. All in all, not bad for a group or a solo effort.

i don't know why i am reviewing this place. it wasn't good and it was so BLAH that it wasn't even horrible. i do know why i went here: my mom. Now, moms doesn't have the most distinguished palate. but she does love hot sauce and anything with "buffalo" in the name, so i entertained her wish when she came to visit. that., and, well she is mom and i always do such! among the things i disliked: it was a sports bar {though, i've been to sports bars that i liked}, WAY too dark...like, i could barely see my food. service was lackluster. the servers had no personality, were mostly absent and didn't really do much but take the order and drop the check. i was further irritated that the food arrived on paper plates and baskets. I've been to places where something like that would be part of the atmosphere, endearing even. Here it just seemed cheap and lazy. Which ironically is how the food struck me. Don't get me wrong, I love bar food. i've had really good, cheap bar food. this isn't cheap and/or good bar food. They do get points for nice big booths and pleasing my mom. I will take her back because she loves it, it's cheap and I've had worse.

I won't say I love the food here -- I mean, hey, it's chicken wings -- but for someone who has made her reputation for being an individual, a leader, a forge-your-own-path, say-no-to-frats-and-sororities kind of girl, I have to admit, I really like this place. I attribute my weird love for this frat boy paradise to two things: the sauce and the trivia. My favorite two sauces are the Medium and the Spicy Garlic, and I don't even want them on wings. I usually order the "naked" tenders, which are just grilled strips of chicken breast, and dip away. Who needs all that breading and all those bones? I just want the white meat and the sauce. After realizing this, I went and just bought bottles of the sauces and use my Forman grill at home. But at home, my trivia fix can only come from a 15-year-old game of Trivial Pursuit, or episodes of Cash Cab, most of which I've already seen. But at BW3's -- ahhhh, Buzztime Trivia. I know they have this at more bars than just this one, but god if it isn't the coolest thing ever. I love to order a giant glass of beer and the little blue controller pad and just play for days. I just love how you can look around and see who else is playing and get all cocky if you beat them. They even show you the nation-wide rankings, which is not so cool -- unless, like me, you were in the top 20 a couple times!! My proudest moment was when I played this game called Odd Couples, where they give you two random things like, say, Laffy Taffy and Cloris Leachman, and then ask you to attribute facts, such as "Began in Atlanta in 1932", to one, the other or both. I was 6th in the whole country that game -- my proudest achievement. *Tear...* They have a nice little patio, too, and it's probably the biggest bar -- and with the most TVs -- in Ferndale, making it a perfect place to meet a ton of people (like if you invited your whole office, but don't know how many will show up) or watch multiple sports games at once (they host lots of fantasy sports leagues).

LAAAAAAME! We went to this place for happy hour, got there at 5:50, waiter came to take our drink orders at 5:52. I asked if we could still get beers for the happy hour price, since happy hour is listed as from 3-6pm. He told us no, because "bar time" is ahead 8 minutes. What the hell? We'll be taking our business elsewhere.

Do you like football? When someone speaks the name of a college sports team do you suddenly begin to chant like a Viking some marching ditty about spirit and victory? Do you pound on something nearby while chanting? Does your closest consist of sports jerseys, sweatshirts and that one button down shirt your wife or girlfriend made you buy? Do you have more baseball caps than your wife or girlfriend does shoes? Do you wear said baseball cap everywhere you go and sometimes backwards? Is your Camaro on blocks? Is said Camaro parked in front of the trailer where you live? Is it your grandmother's trailer? Is light beer eating healthy for you? Why do I ask all these questions? They all seem to be prerequisites for buffalo wild wings patrons. I'm not a fan of Buffalo wings. They are like crab legs. You expel so much energy to get at this tiny bit of flesh and end up hungrier than you started. And what you really want is the sauce. Well, I'm part of a democratic group even though I think I should be dictator sometimes. So when the group votes for a restaurant I wouldn't normally go, majority rules not always intelligently, and I go. Besides, you can't tear something apart unless you've tired it. I'm specifically speaking of the buffalo wild wings, b-dubs or whatever you may call it in Fabulous Ferndale. This alone makes this place completely odd, but wait, there's more. So walking into this den of pigskin fans and poultry drenchers either you know you're in the right place or you missed the door to the gay and lesbian cultural center. Strangely enough it is next door. I don't make this stuff up folks. There are projection TV screens larger than my apartment on several of the walls. Don't worry, in case you missed that roids filled sports figure on the jumbotron there are TVs in every corner. Can you tell I'm not a sports nut either? It's truly a place for the A.D.D. crowd. It can get noisy when it's busy. Its ok, I don't think there are too many conversations about the cosmos or quantum theory of gravity going on that you might miss. They have a decent selection of beers on tap for a sports style restaurant and bar. Of course five of the taps are bud or miller light. That is to be expected though. Hmm, am I missing something? Oh yes, they serve food. Well if you call papoose poultry named after bovine mammal food. Like I said I'm not much of a Buffalo wings fan. They have boneless wings too. These are just chicken parts stamped in the shape of a drumstick. Truthfully they are just an edible spoon for the numerous sauces. Some of the sauces are not bad. They have a level of heat and taste for everyone, from no heat and sweet to starting the engine on the ulcer-mobile. If wings are not your thing they do have the normal bar restaurant fare, sandwiches and pasta. Really though, if you go here you are going for three things, beer, sports and wings. Now that being said it's the oddest thing to put in the middle of Fabulous Ferndale. Can you tell I like saying that? I only say it because it was in the commercial, and because it really is Fabulous. Anyway, it just seems a bit odd to find it there but it works. It's an unpretentious, easygoing, chest thumping sports atmosphere. It's not my type of place but it works for its niche. And maybe, just maybe, it gives the lesbian baseball teams another place to hang out after the game.

This is way better that the ferndale location they moved from. More room, more tvs, great wait staff (better than before), just better. I love the brand AND this location! Im spicy adict and most of my friends arent, so this is one of the few places that everyone can enjoy. And even if you dont like chicken, they have other great stuff on the menu! (Ive completed the blazin challenge 4 times! This location miggt be my fifth!)

  • Karen N.

We enjoyed the ferndale locale, however today was our first time at Royal oak. The hostess staff looked bored and uninterested, did not greet with a friendly smile, rather one was too busy looking at her wedding/engagement ring, and the one who seated us was meh.. The staff in this locale is horrible. Only our server Maria was halfway decent. These people look and act as if they want to be elsewhere. When we left we were not greeted with a goodbye or thank you as ferndale used to do. Not sure I want to return here until better staff is there.

    (2)
  • Taylor C.

Dining in is decent. The wait staff does well, but the kitchen is extremely slow and the wings are, as at any B-Dubs, subpar. Don't try getting take-out, though. The high schoolers they hire to manage the pick-up counter are clearly not expected to have any type of customer service skills.

  • Amy H.

Nooo...why did they move the Ferndale location here? I came here twice for lunch during the workweek, ordered off the fast lunch menu, and both times it took LONGER than 15 minutes (their goal for the fast lunch menu). IMO, items off the fast lunch menu should come out in under 10 minutes. The first time, we had Ashley as our server. My bf's wings were cold and his sister's salad came out wrong. I had to leave lunch early while everyone was finishing up because I had to get back to work. The second time, I had Ashley again. My friend asked for a side salad substitution for fries, and Ashley did not mention the extra charge. When the check came, the side salad substitution was about $1.50, and when my friend asked Ashley about it, she rolled her eyes and said that technically, she is not required to tell customers about the extra charge. Maybe you will have a better experience, but I was happy with the Ferndale location.

Tried new location, looks great. Came for lunch and it took forever, midweek really? My baby be less wings were old and cold, my firs which I requested well done and the were cold. My sisters salad was missing carrots & was supposed to have crispy chicken but it was grilled. My GF had to leave early as she only had an hour for lunch. It is BWW so I'll probably try again cause my kids love it but with so many choices in RO.....

This was hands down one of the worst experiences I've ever had at a buffalo wild wings the service was awful. I was in a party of 9 but it took 40 minutes for the food come out. It wasn't busy and the waitresses kept giving the impression that the food was almost out. We ordered the food at 1 am and got the food at 1:40 they obviously shut down one of the fryers but it was absolutely awful since it was the end of a bachelor party . So if you go to this bdubs make sure it's before 1 am. On top of forgetting some of the food ordered and still charging us for it The food was fantastic but you know what to expect from a bdubs

Every time I come here I think, I need to review this place on Yelp. The food is typical BWW. You've had it, it's decent, although not as cheap as it used to be. They do have a late night happy hour with $3 apps and I think $1 off beers, which is a good deal. There's a ton of TVs so it would be a good place to watch a game, and the set up is actually pretty nice. However, the service here is terrible. I think all BWW locations have pretty bad service, but this one takes the cake. My first experience here was at 11 AM on a Sunday right when they opened (and I mean when they opened that day, not when they opened the new location). We were the first customers in there, but they still made me and my boyfriend sit in the lobby until half of our group arrived (there were about 10 of us). The entire restaurant is completely empty, and they made us sit there like assholes for 15 minutes until a few others arrived. I get it, it's a rule, but you're not going to get in trouble right when you open and there's literally not one other customer there. That day also had the worst service I've probably ever had at a BWW. Our food took forever, and the restaurant was dead. We waited about an hour for our food to come out, and I know it to be true because I remember that I put an hour and a half in my meter and it was gone when I got out (and don't remember I had to wait those 15 minutes before even being seated!). We all needed drink refills, food was missing, it was a total mess. I've been here about 3-4 times since then, and only once were we totally surprised that we had a normal server who knew what she was doing. Everyone else takes forever to do anything, and one server took almost 10 minutes just to bring us water, and we were the only table in the entire front section. She was just standing behind us talking to other servers in the little drink section. There are always at least 20 servers just standing around, yet no one can bring a drink or a refill on time. They don't even bring the food to you, a runner does. So I don't understand why the service is so terrible. You can say all you want that it's a new restaurant and they need to work out kinks, but that's bull shit when there's always servers standing around and the food takes forever to come out when the place is dead.

  • Davis H.

Slow to nonexistent service. Was there yesterday for a fantasy draft with 10 guys. 10 mins to get a beer and 30 mins to get fried pickles and corn dogs. One guy sent his wings back because they were cold and looked like they were sitting back in the kitchen for half hour. At one point 9 out of 10 guys had empty glasses. Waiter didn't come by to check on us for a good 45 mins and when he finally did come back, he took 3 drink orders from one end of the table and then walked away. I don't understand how the waiter can be so busy when they have food runners. The place didn't seem overly crowded. I don't know if the waiter didn't care because we were automatically charged 18% tip because we had a large party or what.... Oh and a hostesses took one of our chairs for another table while a guy was in the bathroom. Didn't ask if we were using it or anything, which we were.

Variety of sauces to meet everyone's needs. When I'm in the mood for chicken, I usually crave Bdubs over Wingstop or Gangnam. We usually go for the spicy stuff, Blazin will really give you a kick. Service was good, server came by regularly to check up on us. Almost no space between TVs, so many TVs. Go to spot for sporting events.

  • Patrick R.

It's Bw3s. The popularity of which still blows my mind. BW3s is acceptable only for watching sports. The food is well below par, even for a chains standards. Some of their (usually over sweet and processed) sauces have decent flavor... and you get your choice of frozen products to have them on. The craziest thing now is the prices. Almost 10 bucks for the smallest sized of boneless wings. Most burgers over $10. This shit could fly if you actually MADE ANYTHING. But this is all frozen and mostly processed crap. The place looks decent, and it's loaded with TVs. Plus 30 beers on tap, but they're mostly garbage. Only 7 Michigan beers in the mix and 3 are from Bells (not that there's anything wrong with Bell's, but a little variety!). Add to that the upcharge I got for ordering a single Jack and Diet in a tall glass (which was not really tall) for an extra squirt of pop? Seriously? And after the first couple, the waitress was mostly invisible... plus, the few times I did see her, she would forget my drink or half of my order. I got a salad because I figured that would piss me off and make me feel bad the least. I was wrong. The Straight-Out-The-Bag salad mix was dark and slimy in parts. The "Chicken Breast" on top is so creepily textured. Definitely a frozen product and probably worse. The only thing you could taste was the overly sweet dressing. All that for only $10! Sweet! Now that March Madness is over, I can go back to a BW3 free life. For the love of god, I hope this doesn't mean more chains will be moving into my hometown.

Come here at least once a week and sit at bar! Always great service and friendly atmosphere! Andrew at bar is award winning and they are lucky to have him part of the team! He has a smile that can light up a room! Thanks BDubs! Best location RO!

It was 5PM on a Saturday. All my husband and I wanted to do was get a break from cooking, feeding and cleaning up our kitchen from our two little ones. We were walking around RO and decided to head into BWW. The moment we sat down at this enormous and vast, but empty restaurant chain, it was obvious we were a nuisance, I'm sure serving Mother Teresa would have been a nuisance as well. We sat and waited with folded up menus for what felt like 20 minutes watching an array of employees stand at their stations and goof off while no one would take our order. Finally, a server arrived. My 14 month old had eaten all of his snacks at this point. Naturally, in all of my years of serving, it is beyond common sense to bring out something to nosh on for families with small children. This was not the case. I asked our server if we could have a piece of bread, his side of fruit early...anything. It went ignored. We then asked another server and could not have been responded to with a more rude tone of voice. Lastly, we asked the host if there was a way to get my now crying baby who was very hungry a snack. She mumbled something about carrot sticks. I was confused. I walked out of there leaving my son and husband behind to Noodle Company and was GIVEN pita bread. I could not believe that despite sitting in a massive restaurant, I had to walk to another restaurant to give my baby some food. When I arrived back, our server finally brought my older soon a drink we had been asking for since we arrived. She also threw down a soda fountain lemonade and ran away for the baby. Hi, um what?! He can only drink milk or water. However, she bolted away and we had no choice but to wait until our food came to get his milk. Funny thing was, she was training a new server! I could not think of a more horrible server than she was and she was training someone?! Wow. The entire meal was peppered with annoying sighs and eye rolls and attitudes from various employees. I'm sorry, but when your food is that mediocre (as expected), you have to at least train your staff to be professional or *gulp* NICE?! Imagine that! We could not hustle out of there fast enough. It was excruciatingly uncomfortable to have to pay $50.00 to eat in a place where you are clearly hated. Don't worry, we will never be back. I'm sure y'all are relieved. We would have had a more delightful meal at the old Barnes and Noble cafe that it once was. A stale croissant and a mocha sounds way more inspiring than being served up a big buffet of crappy service and anger. K. Thx. Bye.

Typical BWW. It's a newer location and pretty nice. Experience was not great. No hostess for 5 minutes. Bartender sat us. Waitress not thrilled to help us. We still gave her a decent tip. Wings were cold. Barely warm on the bottom. Manager offered to take off the bill. On the bright side, cheese curds are tasty. We did not love the experience. Sigh... Why can't there be a better wing place??

Slow, terrible service. Which is ironic when the place is almost empty. I love BDubs but this location should be avoided. My wife won't let us go here anymore.

Service was good. Chicken was over breaded, over cooked and the sauce just taste like red hot. But then again, it is Buffalo Wild Wings

My earlier review had been for the Ferndale location and it's strange that Yelp is combining the former location's reviews with this new one. This new location in downtown Royal Oak is super central and convenient, but the rudeness of the staff is beyond compare. I sat on the patio area one time with friends and in the dining area another time, and both times it was awkward requesting plates, napkins, silverware, any additional menu items beyond the original. Actually the server in the patio area was so incredibly rude that it cast a pall over our entire group. Way to ruin the neighborhood.

Before I get started, I'm going to completely ignore the fact that Buffalo Wild Wings is a chain. I prefer local restaurants but B-dubs is one of my guilty pleasures. I love their sweet BBQ bone in wings, especially for a game. Also their potato wedges are awesome. I was not impressed with this location. I called ahead to place an order to go. The order was on time however, they gave me all bonesless wings (which I'm sorry are TERRIBLE, might as well get some BBQ sauce and some nuggets from McDonalds and have a meal), even though I ordered one order of boneless and another bone in. They also messed up the sauces. The woman at the counter was friendly. It looked pretty clean, though I only got food to go.

Service was slow and inconsistent. The messed up our bills. And my water glass was severed to me with red lipstick left on it from not being cleaned properly.

Yes, it's overpriced junk food and part of a corporate regime built to double your subcutaneous abdominal fat while depleting your wallet exponentially. But the Parmesan garlic, Asian zing wings and seasoned potato wedges are so good though! I will not shy away from writing b-dubs a positive review simply because of the disdain from foodies who would rather eat arugula woodsticks while watching grass grow at a holier than thou cafe that's most likely comparable in terms of price. No, you don't eat here every day or even weekly if you have your wits about you. But yes, they have cheat meal written all over them and they also serve some choice Michigan beers (Soft Parade, hooray for me Billy!!!!!). This location can be hit or miss with the clientele (I was once seated next to fifteen obese men hunched over laptops secretly obsessing over fantasy football draft picks) but they keep this location extremely clean and the servers usually get the job done quite well. At noon on a Sunday, the food was served within 10 mins of ordering. I'm sure I'll be back this fall to laugh at the frustration of watching the Lions perfect the art form of losing a game in which they held a 14 point, 4th Quarter lead.

Went on a Monday night, so it was pretty empty so we were surprised when it took 45minutes to get our meal. we all know the wings are good, but not sure they're worth the wait.

The wings have changed over the years and i just think its not worth the value. Way to expensive for wings witch are mostly bread. Never had a problem with services.

The worst management ever. I give this location two thumbs down. Adam the managing partner is not only rude but is incompetent when it comes to policies and procedures and how to deal with unhappy customers. I left my credit card at this location after dinner. I called the store the next day and told them I would pick the card up on Monday (I live almost an hour away). When I came in to pick up my credit card, I was informed that my card had been shredded. I was told buy Derrick the manager that the policy is to shred cards within 48hrs. The young lady i spoke to over the weekend never informed me of this policy. Later to find out none of the employees are made aware of this policy because of the incompetent managing partner Adam, who doesn't inform all of the staff what the policies and procedures are when a customer loses a card at the restaurant. He then informs me that they shred the cards 24hrs after someone leaves them. Clearly this guy doesn't know how to manage a franchise because no one is aware of the policies from the management team down to at the server level. I am very disgusted and disappointed that they treat their customers in this fashion. I will no longer be patronizing this location. The foods is lousy and over priced. He can take his wings and shove them up his ass!

Got take out, hate the sizing for wings but they always taste good. How many are in a large and how do I tell you to split up the sauces? By number? Well tell me how many I will get in total. Good location this place will be packed come March madness! Well lit and an indoor outdoor patio opens onto Main Street RO. It's a chain but the wings are good. Take out took 50 minutes from the time I paid. Slow

Worst bw's experience. I'm so sad that they closed Ferndale location. I had left my table to go feed the meter and came back and was told they were already at capacity and couldn't enter I tried to tell the kid that I already had a table, but it didn't matter. He said the manager said not to let anyone in. Told him I have a tab that needs to be paid, still didn't care. Asked to see a manager and was told they all were busy. I snuck in when someone went to leave. I went up to Tony, the so called manager, and told him what happened and that no one told me I couldn't leave. He didn't care at all, and completely didn't care that I said I wouldn't come back.

Big improvement! The food was excellent and the atmosphere was great. I went with my sister and my autistic son, who normally doesn't like crowds or noise, but since they have tablets now he sat focus on his jigsaw puzzle and the food was a lot better then the last time we went to the one in Ferndale. Waitress was nice although I don't remember her introducing herself, but it could have been because I wasn't paying attention. Overall: great experience and will be back.

I don't like ranking any local restaurants this low, but the service and food only deserved two stars (maybe less). First, we get there on a Sunday night (after 8:00 and not very busy) and we wait 10 minutes while no one greets us or asks for drink orders. After waiting the 10 minutes patiently we walk up to the bar and ask for them to send a server over (which they do). We get our drinks quickly and then they took our order. ******This is the only Buffalo Wild Wings that I have ever been to that will not cook your wings extra crispy. They have a 12 minute cook time only, which results in the wings being slimy and dripping with an excess amount of sauce. ******* Naturally, the waitress cannot accommodate our request to cook the wings longer and has to get the manager (not her fault). The manager comes out and reaffirms that we cannot have our wings the way that we want them. We ask why. He basically says that's just the way it is. We politely inform him that the rule is absurd and comment that we should be able to get our food the way that we want it. If we wanted ordered a burger they wouldn't tell us that we had to have it medium rare. If we asked for ranch and blue cheese they wouldn't tell us that we had to have bbq sauce. It's ridiculous. Beyond that, he wouldn't give us a tangible reason for why they have the rule, and he didn't seem to care at all that he had customers that were unhappy. Very poor customer service. Anyway, I get my wings and they tasted like old wings that had been sitting out that were smothered in sauce and popped into the microwave. They were gross. This is coming from a person that likes BDub wings (when they are cooked well). I don't know if they deliberately gave us wings that had been sitting out or not (we were not being rude with our request. In fact, I think we were going out of our way to be patient and understanding about the whole thing). Overall, lack of initial service, poor tasting food, and bad customer service from the manager are keeping me from giving this experience any more than 2 stars. The second star is mostly due to the fact that this place is in Ferndale and that I have had good meals there in the past.

Let me start by saying that this review is based on two different experiences. The first experience happened the first week they were open. The second experience happened yesterday (St. Patrick's day). From the first experience, the service was awful. We waited nearly an hour to get our food only to have wings burnt ( I didn't know it was possible to mess up their signature dish so badly), food served cold, at 30 minute intervals with certain things we ordered missing. All the while our waitress was talking to her friend at the bar. Might have been the worst dining experience I had of the year. I figured I'd give them one more chance yesterday (St. Patricks day). I go with three friends (completely sober) and tell the security I need to go to the bar to see if I can borrow a pen. Security says they don't offer pens for pedestrians. I say I was planning on getting a drink anyways. They then REFUSE ME ENTRY! Maybe they thought that I was just going in to try to ask the bartender for a pen? Regardless, it was a bit ridiculous. I absolutely was in shock. Again, I want to reiterate I was completely sober and polite. Needless to say I wont be coming back. With their level of service I doubt they will be in business a year from now. I just hope someone can fill the space with something decent this next time around. On the bright side, now I can say I got refused service at Buffalo Wild Wings like I'm some bad a$$ I guess?

This review is based upon multiple times eating at BWW - I want to start by addressing the work staff: no effort. The food isn't much better either.. BUT HEY they have TVs!!! The place is a Joke

Really nice setup....but the service is awful. I waited tables for a long time and I'm more than understanding but if your service is bad and your rude your outta business. Hopefully they fix it or we will be out of a BDubbs as fast as we got one.

Eaten and drank here a couple times. It was pretty standard fare as far as BDub's goes, although the place always seems pretty dead. Maybe that's why they are moving from this location to the old Barnes N Noble location on Main Street in Royal Oak. The happy hour is always nice; I got a tall Dirty Bastard for less than $6. Ah, nice buzz...

  • Jeph W.

This place has the worst tasting/most expensive wings I've ever had! When someone is cooking ribs, it would only make sense to cook them with the sauce on them to marinate them... As for the atmosphere? They try to be a sports bar, but with being so large it feels like eating in a cafeteria; also it feels like I'm going to get cancer (or go deaf from the noise), as the TV screens are everywhere at full intensity! As for the staff: they're fine...

    (1)
  • Ilayda K.

They don't even deserve 1 star! Worst Buffalo Wild wings ever! Took longer than 50 mins to get our food and they didn't even apologize for that! NEVER COMING BACK!

  • Jake D.

Let's be honest, Buffalo Wild Wings is probably more expensive than what it's worth- but we pay anyway cause the food is pimp and service is usually pretty air tight. However, the Ferndale location has me second guessing that. Confused and gloomy staff has made my previous visit to the Ferndale location likely to be the last. Took forever to be sat only to wait longer for limp service. Get it together people, it wasn't slammed by any stretch. And their strict ID policy.. Good move. Yikes. Fortunately, I've been to many BWW in my time so I know that they're all not THIS bad.

First let me say I worked as one of the top servers for 5+ years at two different bdubs locations, including one that was in a prominent college town. Openings are always shaky so I gave the new bdubs in royal oak a couple months to get he kinks worked out. I called to place a pick up order for two people. Not only was I placed on hold three times but for 15+ minutes. I arrived at the hostess stand still on hold. It is a Sunday night at 8, the patio was semi full but I would say the inside restaurant was dead, maybe six tables. While placing my order I asked for 12 traditional wings well done...I was told "they don't do that anymore" because one time they were to busy and it took to long. You're kidding me right. Being a wing joint you would think that making their wings the best for the customer wouldn't be something they would skimp on. The staff had a lack of positive attitude to boot. We picked up our food after 25 minutes. The only positive is I was given two extra ranches without paying he .50 cents, redemption?

We stopped with our kids after school for dinner. We tried to order wings and asked for all flats like we always do, our waitress was rude and told us they no longer do it. She wasn't apologizing and didn't even act like she cared that we weren't happy about it. We still considered ordering wings until she told us we couldn't order our wings well done. She said they already cook them longer than any other buffalo wild wings...like okay but since we asked you can't just cook them longer.?! It doesn't even make sense. At that point we just wanted to leave. She wasn't being helpful at all. We ordered an appetizer in the beginning which we wouldn't have if we would have known this..it was her idea to start with an appetizer. We hadn't even touched it but still had to pay 9$ then leave and go somewhere else for dinner! We won't be back ever, and by the looks of the other reviews the managers don't care....

I can't yet comment on the food here, since we havent received it yet (though not for lack of trying) but I can say this is the worst service I've had in years. The waitress has been by twice in the last hour, and we haven't even received our appetizer yet (we ordered food more than 45 minutes ago. Also, my mojito doesn't taste like there is an ounce of alcohol in it. This place blows!

There is never a reason for a corporate Restraunt to be in this condition. I understand the game just ended and there were a lot of drunk people to clean up after but the bathroom should never resemble or smell like a rest stop on the highway. The gum snapping and eye rolling of the hostess was pleasant especially after asking for a table not so close to the door when 5 other tables were available. The server was nice enough bringing us our waters without straws and failing to refill them once they were empty but hanging out at the server station flirting with other servers and playing with her hair....corporate will be getting a call in the morning...another D- great job at making the food taste similar to all the other b-dubs across the country...it's hard to mess that one up...

This place is a joke. I've been to multiple Buffalo Wild Wings and this is by far the worst one. Terrible service, very ghetto, and on top of that it takes almost a half hour to get your food every time and a lot of good is forgotten. I asked for a refill 3 times one time before I finally brought it to the bar. The only reason it gets 2 stars from me is because the food tastes fine, just like any other Buffalo Wild Wings. This one is 2 miles from my house and I refuse to go to it.

Cold food horrible waitress . People working there never had a friendly smile on their face. My Friend chipped his tooth on the wings and all the manager said was oh sorry. Never heard that one before. Said they bring him ice cream never did . Never will go back

Went there on saturday night thinking we could make a quick meal before rush (7pm) and hopefully have some good wings and a beer. This was probably the worst BWWs that I have ever been to. Everything from the personal appearance of the bartender whose mullet should not be allowed in a food establishment and definitely needed to be cut (it's ferndale and 2014). There was one waitress for the entire bar section and the manager on staff and two bartenders did not seem to care as they chatted away behind the bar while people were waiting to be served or even order. The waitress was not particularly happy and we barely saw her twice (to take the order and get our bill). My friends had to get their own drinks from the bar, we had to ask the food runner to get us refills and the wings were beyond disappointing (over sauced, cold and not up to standard). Overall not worth going back ever again.

Very under staffed. We were told 10 minute wait, looking at 6 empty tables. Waited 40 minutes. Still no table. No longer allow children at high tops for some reason? Cleaner look then Ferndale, but last visit for us here. Hungry kids, empty tables, long wait, no staff.

Went to the new BDUBS tonight...asked for part of the order to be all flats which we have done in the past at other locations...I was told that this can no longer be done as this is a "busy" location.....thankfully the order did come with a fair amount of flats......

  • Ashley T.

I've had so many horrible experiences at this location that it actually made me make a yelp account so I could leave this review. The staff is very unfriendly, rude, and inattentive. It takes FOREVER to get your food, even when its not busy. They never have any of the craft beers on their menu. If it IS busy then its usually full of obnoxious groups of people. I continued giving it chances but I wont return to this location again.

I love BWs wings. The food tastes great...what it does to my insides is another story - still, punishment by wing sauce is a tasty way to die. That being said I'd pick most any BWs over the Ferndale store, hands down. Not a well managed location in the least. Our server was solid but the bartender...not so much on his game. Plus what's up with their carbonation lines. If I feel like having a beer this is an OK spot but their mixed drinks are way overpriced for measured pours and their tonic tastes like uncarbonated sweat. I'm just saying.

Buffalo Wild Wings is just another brick in the wall in downtown Ferndale. Ask me for places to go for dinner and it never comes to mind. I can think of a dozen other restaurants before coming to this one, and it fades into the background unless I'm driving by. It forms the epicenter of douchy fratboy weekend party time in Ferndale, which we all must unfortunately endure. Rosie's across the road fights for the cheap beer and wings crowd and they try to suck the most customers in with open patios in the summer and as many television screens as possible. Rosie's occupies a larger building but BBW uses all the space it has to show the game. The large interior is mostly taken up by tables and booths facing the street, with the bar towards the side and back. You get the benefit at least of watching Nine Mile's crowds if you don't care for basketball or football or whatever gets blared from every direction. People here tend towards lively and young, though I think it's more family oriented during midday on the weekends. BWW is a pretty cheap place to get your chicken wing fix on with a variety of sauces. It's really like the Mongo's of chicken with no standing around for your order to be cooked. So, the wings, the main reason you're coming. They're not spectacular and they aren't worthy of causing food poisoning. You could do better getting your own wings from the grocery store and throwing them on the barbecue or in the oven. BBW's claim to fame is the variety of sauces from mild to flame your face off, but it's nothing I could not supplement with a bottle from Trader Joe's or some sriracha. I find all their sauces to be extremely syrupy or too sweet. The teriyaki is usually a go to if I find myself here (which is rare), and that seems to be reasonable. They have a selection of low-fat/fat-free/low cal options if you're watching for those things. That said, it's a sticky, slow affair. Service is not that quick and orders should be checked on your receipt just to be sure. I've been overcharged for drinks and wings I didn't order because the server mistook my table for another and combined orders. It happens, just a point of care. I second Joe B's concerns about their carbonation lines. The pop here doesn't taste right, and it's very bitter. Parking options are slim on Nine Mile with streetside parking, metered, only. You can get better parking on the back side of the building in the larger Breckenridge lot, also metered. Park a few streets over and it's free, and you get a walk in.

Love the sauces but have had some terrible tasting boneless chicken wings from here before. They also raised their prices so I haven't made as many trips to Bdubs as I use to.

Let me preface this review with the fact that I love Buffalo Wild Wings. This location...not so much. Stopped in to watch football yesterday. The waitress was friendly. The bartender messed up our drinks though and the club soda and tonic water in both of our drinks was really bad/flat. Every once in a while when eating chicken wings, it happens that you get one that just tastes "wrong." That happened a couple times in my order of 12 wings that I ate. Originally we had planned on watching the entire game there, but ended up leaving for another establishment at halftime because we didn't feel like toughing it out there. The mixed drinks are a little pricey too...and they're definitely not going to be accused of over-pouring any time soon. I think it was $4.50 for well vodka. It's almost like drinking at the airport or a casino. So...BWW's...I've learned my lesson. Drink beer. I still love me some Buffalo Wild Wings...I just don't see myself patronizing this location again any time soon.

For a chain, it's pretty good. I only give it 3 stars simply based on prices, which I just think are a little on the high side for such simple foods. But again, it's a chain so that really doesn't surprise me much.

I went in for a quick lunch. Sat at the bar and the employee behind the bar was great. Friendly and knew the menu. It was slow so my food came fast and fresh. My only complaint is that the prices are very high for the quality of food you recieve.

One star. Before I begin about last nights adventure, the reasons for even just the one star is because I love wings and the manager corrected things that went horribly wrong as best as he could, even managing to burn himself in the process. Now.. for the "horribly wrong". We walked in and although we had a party of five, and only one person forgot their ID after her long day of working at a hospital, they refused to sit us. We then decided to just get food to go as we were all tired. To order? It took them almost 30 minutes. Also when I asked if they had a menu I could look at as four of us were trying to order. The woman behind the counter with short dirty blonde hair and glasses then told me to grab a menu myself from the box myself. I looked and there were no menus as she stated. I proceeded to try and get her attention but she ignored me completely. Finally another waitress who noticed us and then voiced very loudly to her coworkers "Why isn't anybody helping them? Nobody's busy..." came and took our order. She was very pleasant, helpful and one of the most caring waitresses. I believe her name is Sarah. While we had began ordering our fifth member decided he would sit at the bar and order appetizers while we waited. We proceeded to wait ANOTHER 40 minutes for our food to come out and our fifth member not only got his food but enjoyed a beer and watched the game that was on. (Which by the way when he asked for a table in a quite empty part of the restaurant, he was denied because he was one person with the excuse that they were packed... they absolutely were not) Staff sat or stood around doing nothing. Also one woman who I'm guessing works or worked there kept walking in and out of the kitchen in plain clothing. Helping herself to food and clearly distracting those in the kitchen. Just hanging out as she pleased. As someone who has worked in the food industry I am positive that is not allowed and is unsanitary. We finally received our food way after our fifth member finished and paid for his meal. Apparently our food had been sitting on the rack for a long time but no one even bothered to let us know. Half of our food was cold while the other half was hot. It made absolutely no sense why our food was cold and why the other half was made much later than it should have been. All in all I can say don't come to this Buffalo Wild Wings. You want good wings? You might as well go to your local strip club haha. Truly though I advise everyone to just go to a different BWW. Novi or Dearborn. I'm sure you will have a much more enjoyable experience.

Well.. I'm in love with the Asian zing sauce, which is why we came today. It's a Wednesday evening not super busy, parking available. To top it off I really feel like the food is starting to go down hill in quality...le sigh

Let me start off by saying that BWW is a chain restaurant. Most of their sauces are ridiculously unhealthy... Their preservative-laden food comes frozen off a truck, eliminating any potential pride the employees would have in their work. $10 for a frozen chicken sandwich is insane. Okay, that being said, I knew what to expect. I went to the Ferndale location, and walked to the carry out counter to place an order. There were 2 employees doing something with the register... counting money or something. Neither of them looked up and said hello, or told us that they'd be right with us. One of them walked away after about 5 or 6 minutes of us waiting at the counter 2 feet away from them, within eye shot. The girl still at the register leaves to get something from the kitchen without so much as acknowledging our presence. Then, the phone rings. She runs over and grabs the phone, still ignoring us. Apparently, I should have called while standing at the counter. Finally, I had enough and left. How ridiculous. With SO many other restaurants in Ferndale that pride themselves on locally-grown fresh ingredients, BWW just sticks out like a cold sore. It perpetuates the American misconception of what good food is. I'm willing to pay good money for a good meal... but when I'm charged more money for frozen food than I'm paying for a fresh, amazing meal down the street, it's stupid. Avoid this place. City council fought to stop this place from opening in downtown Ferndale because crappy chain restaurants don't belong in Ferndale. The service is horrible, and you can get incredible food within walking distance, for less money.

I like Buffalo Wild Wings, but not this one. They're always super busy and kinda ghetto. The staff is not at all attentive. You end up waiting around forever for a table and the food is just not that good. I'll pass or go to the one on Big Beaver that's MUCH better...

When you make the choice to go to a Buffalo Wild Wings, you pretty much know what you're looking and what you're going to get - wings and beer boombas in a loud, chain sports bar with 6 TVs on each wall. Bdubs is never going to be your best bar/food experience, but it certainly won't be your worst, either. For what they offer, they do it well - the beer selection (both draft and bottle) is respectable. Not a ton of local choices, as seems to be the trend, but they offer variety none the less. Something is always on special. If you're looking for munchies, their menu offers exactly what you want to eat a bar - burgers, nachos, fried goodies, and of course the chicken wings with a variety of sauces to suit any taste (including parmesan garlic, teriyaki, and a few others that don't even have ANY hotness to them). Like I said before, none of it is going to be the best you've ever eaten, but it is sure gonna hit the spot at the time. Bdubs has interactive trivia and poker games going on up on the TVs at all times, just ask for the little blue box to play on, log yourself in and you have yourself an interactive drinking experience. :) I've loved it since college when I was freshly 21....and I still love it now. :)

Whadda mean, "We'll see if we can put on the Pistons game?" Hey, BWW is what it is. A chain. Plenty of beer choices, all the high-fructose corn syrup sauces you can eat and "meh" service. But this is a SPORTS BAR from which you can spit into Detroit from your barstool. After leaving another "sports bar" in Ferndale which refused to air the game, I tried here. I specifically told the server not to bring my drink orders until they changed one of the fiftyleven TVs to the Pistons game. After 10 minutes or so of "hemming and hah-ing," I left. Like it or not Ferndale, Detroit is LOCAL and Ferndale benefits heavily from its proximity. First, the game should've been aired automatically. But no Detroit fan should have to "wait to see" if you can put on the game of a local professional sports team. PERIOD. Me, my friends and our $$ will go elsewhere. Any self-respecting Detroit/Metro Detroit supporters should do the same.

The food was fine but we had the most annoying waitress ever. She kept coming over and making bad puns and laughing. Won't be going back because of her poor service.

This location has always been pretty good for beer selections and service. The managers and serving staff do go out of their way most of the time to accommodate large groups (as well as individuals who have dietary limitations). Friendly staff, crappy parking.

On a warm day in Ferndale, we requested seating outdoors to accomodate our dog. Seating was full, but the friendly staff welcomed us (& our pup) indoors-- next to the outdoor seating. Perfect :) Overall, food at these chains is overpriced. Get the Loaded Lemon Tea. Yum!

I really like this location because I can walk there from my house. It also has a nice outdoor seating area. Yes, I'm a fan of this location too. If I could be a chicken wing, I would be a boneless wing covered in mild sauce from BW served with celery sticks and blue cheese. The wing selection includes boneless and bone-in. hehehe I like saying "bone-in" it sounds so dirty. The sauce selection ranges from the passive sweet bbq to burn your face off blazin. I'm a wimp, so I tend to stick with mild. BW also has burgers, salads and wraps. Some great starters, such as mini corn dogs. I suggest picking up a frequent lunch card; buy five lunches and get the 6th free. Eat lots of BW and be happy.

I can't help but eat here nearly once a week. My friends and I started going here to meet up and sketch on Wednesdays, and it ended up being a de facto hang out for other things as well. The wings are good, not the best, but BWW knows what they're doing. I can't often stray from the Parmesan garlic sauce, but there is a good variety of spices and flavors for everyone. I'm surprised at their beer selection for a chain restaurant. Yeah, they're a sports bar but I've noticed different BWW in the area have special menus for craft/local beers. I can really appreciate that for a popular sports bar! I have the unfortunate luck of almost always picking the beer they're out of, but I can get samples quite easily and settle on a good second choice. There are two servers there that take great care of us whenever we come in. I regret to say I don't remember their names very well (David and Heather?), but they're my absolute favourites and remember us very well! I've had one terrible server, a few years ago, but otherwise the service overall is friendly and welcoming. Take-out can be hit or miss. I get overcooked/super crunchy wings nearly half the time, and perfectly fresh ones the rest. My takeouts are during the week and a little later in the evening, so I imagine they don't have as constant a flow of wings cooking. I find this to be a great place to hang out in downtown Ferndale, especially to watch sports and drink a few beers.

Bdubs is Bdubs....hard to mess up fried chicken...but sometimes the wings are a little over done or the boneless wings have little chicken. I always get the asian zing or honey bbq. Service is sometimes slow if theres a big game or fight...other than that, it's not too shabby!

The last two reviews of this place are from people who don't like wings.. weird.. I, however, do enjoy the once discarded chicken part, when prepared nicely, and paired with great sauce. I am a fan of both regular, and boneless variety(Which is more like a glorified chicken tender) and this place delivers on both parties. YES, I know it's a chain, and it's a massive, corporate operation, however, they can make a tasty wing. Along with a (UGH!) decent beer selection, it's the perfect spot to watch the current Stanley cup playoff match.

First off, I am not a wings fan (Red wings, yes, Chicken wings no) so, you ask, why did I even dine here? Simple, I was with a group in the area on business and I did not have a car. My burger was decent, maybe slightly above decent. The place is a noisy sports bar with a number of games being shown on a number of televisions. Of course the game I was most interested in was being shown on the crappiest television of them all! Everyone else liked their wings so I guess it is worth a try if you like them.

I really like Buffalo Wild Wings. And I like Ferndale. But this location has never really treated me well. One thing I don't like is that after 9pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, the wings special end. Nine pm is a bit early. Other locations serve the specials til about 1:55am, so it definitely irks me. And they always seem to be very busy at this one, so the wait is long. Then, this location gets very dark, it's sometimes hard to read the menu. It has nice screens and decent food. But considering how far it is from me now, I'd much rather go to other BWWs.
