This review is based on my July 2013 visit....We were in on a Wednesday night and the place was packed. 1/2 off drinks and apps will do that (or was it the karaoke?!?). We ordered a smorgasbord of apps and the only one I'd say to pass was the spin dip. The other 5 we had were great (boneless wings, fried pickles, quesadilla, green beans, potato skins). Our server was great keeping my water full and my friends cocktails refreshed. This was my first time to Rockford and I would def go back next time I'm in town.

When ever we are in town we stop here for the food. The burgers and burritos and amazing. The drink selection is decent over all its just a good local bar with better then average bar food. Defiantly not a high class restaurant but for a local bar it hits the spot. .

Excellent service and food, lots of fun and always attracts a great crowd - no crazies - and the tenders are awesome (Hi Harpo). I'm up at the bar every day and couldn't complain one bit. Everything is about a dollar cheaper here in comparison to every other bar in Rockford too; moreso during happy hour of course.

From the outside this place seemed like it would be like some weird ikea furniture themed place, I was actually pleasantly surprised by the casual decor and furniture. The food was very very affordable and based on the price I gave this five stars because the food was really good! I got a burger and my boyfriend got the Philly cheesesteak thing and they were both really delicious and the homemade chips were golden as well! My boyfriend said the grapefruit ipa was really worth the price!

Have very good steaks and have not been disappointed. Service sometimes patchy but adequate.

First off, I'm a Rockford resident transported to the Northeast. This place is a fantastic meetup location for cheap drinks or decent beverages. Their food menu is diverse for pub food. I enjoyed my recent visit, the chicken nachos were fantastic.

Typical bar with typical bar food. Large local crowd. Service OK. Overall, average.

A laid back spot for traditional pub fare and drinks. My husband really liked the Cubano sandwich, but my veggie panini was really greasy. The pricing is average and the staff is quite friendly. There isn't a lot of wow factor at this place, but it's friendly and a nice little stop if you're visiting Rockford.

Ordered chicken cheese steak sandwich. Was ok and comes with chips. Little expensive for any other choice besides chip. A little understaffed at lunchtime. One waitress and a bartender.

A fairly standard bar with fairly standard bar food. Keno is an interesting touch for someone not familiar with the whole being able to gamble in a bar thing (AKA not from Michigan). The bar is nice and big has a nice collection of bar games to keep you entertained. I would go back if I were in Rockford again.

Ok, so this place is mostly hit, with just one or two misses. I used to be a semi-regular, when I lived in Cedar Rock area, but since moving to Grand Rapids a few years ago, I haven't been more than 2 or 3 times each year. I fell in love with the place when I moved to the area from Connecticut, and found that they were one of the few bars in greater GR that had Tuaca available. The bar is a fun place to sit with lots of locals in and out during the day and evening. They have a separate room with pool tables, a big dining area that doubles as a live music/dance area, and the restrooms are large and clean for the most part. The staff is willing to shoot the shit with you on a slower day, but all bizness on the weekends. Drinks are cold, strong, and reasonably priced. Their drink specials are different all the time. As for the food, it is average bar food, nothing spectacular. They claim to have dynamite burgers, but I think they are just ok, The Patty Melt is about the only burger that is above average. They have decent inauthentic Mexican food, if you like burritos covered in ENCHILADA sauce, then go for it. It is tasty, just not great. With better food this would be a four star rating. The weekend crowd gets awful randy for Rockford, and that is fine by me! It is a fun spot to hang out and have few drinks, for sure, but certainly not a place to make a the drunken venture from GR all the way there and get super tipsy and drive back home. Enjoy.

Big fan of this place. It's never too busy, the food is reasonably priced and it's great for families. Excellent burgers and beer selection. Great place to stop by on a whim, sit right down and get some good bar grub!

I visited this establishment while on a business trip and was only mildly impressed. From the sleek look of the exterior, plus the reputation of the Rockford village, I was expecting upscale higher quality food and a nicer environment. I must say the service was great, but the decor was that of any other normal bar and the food totally lacked flavor. I ordered the French Dip sandwich which was described on the menu as "shaved prime rib" however what I received was a pre-formed glob of meat with absolutly no taste. I was further surprised whe I asked for a beer list that there were none of the fantastic local beers west Michigan is known for. All they had was the run of the mill Bud, Miller Lite, Coors, etc., etc. Nothing interesting. I'm sure if you're a local this is a great place to meet up with friends, but if you're looking for quality food and handcrafted beer, this is not the place.
