juston and i were here last night to watch the Wing's game. this was my first bar experience after the smoking ban and it was lovely! we had the $11.95 pizza and pitcher deal. during the game there was a $2 bottle and $6 pitcher special. then, to our extreme surprise and pleasure there was live trivia at 9:30pm! we were planning on heading home after the game but our competitive side got the better of us and we stayed for the second round of trivia. we had a blast and we almost won! we came in 3rd and there were a lot of teams. we will be back to try our hand at the tuesday night trivia!

Muldoons is a local bar with a lot of life! It's a sports bar a few nights a week mixed with a karaoke bar a couple of nights a week while being a fun local hang out all of the time! The drink specials are fantastic any night! Happy hour is half off appetizer time and the mini tacos rock! The drinks are cheap, the people are great, and there's sports, pool, and darts to help you enjoy the night! What's NOT to like?!

i like it here. i like a bar where you can get a pizza and a pitcher for 11.95. the cheap pizza wasn't half bad either. and the onion rings we ordered on the side were the perfect combo. i like a bar where nobody is worrying about what the other people are doing. where people just come to drink and watch a game and play some trivia and shoot the shit with friends. michelle and I were pleasantly surprised about trivia on Tues nights. we almost won and we can't wait to go back. muldoon's is a good time and only a block from my friend's house and her extra bed! love, juston

Best chicken strips I have ever had. Just pass the smoking ban in MI and they'll get 5 stars. ....what the hell. Went there after the smoking ban couple days ago and they switched up the strips to some generic crap. What did I do to deserve this?

After living here for two years we tried this place by chance because they had Quizzo Trivia on a night that we wanted to play. On first impression it seems like a typical dive bar, but we quickly realized it is much more. The atmosphere is nice, dark, sports bar-like with Keno and Buzztime trivia (which was a big bonus for us!). They have amazing food at very reasonable prices with lots of specials, including a special menu for when tigers are on which includes 2 for $3 Coneys... They are phenomenal. Also very good margaritas that are made from scratch... Definitely not something I was expecting to find at a bar like this. Also the service was excellent. We came back the next night because we were so impressed! If you haven't been to Muldoon's you are missing out, it might just become your new favorite local bar! Don't waste your time at bdubs... You'll have a better time, better food, and better prices here.

I went in not sure what to expect, and found it to be a fairly standard little dive bar. I liked that there seemed to be a lot going on; there was keno, pool, and some other games. The drink specials were decent, and it's hard to argue with a $2 beer. As for the food, it was standard corner pub fair. Nothing amazing, but nothing that made me not want to eat either. If it's convenient I might go back again, but I definitely won't go out of my way for it.

Do not like this place at all. Tried it a couple more times with people in the neighborhood and I just can't come around to it. Service is alright, crowd is eh, karaoke is terrible and annoying. I avoid it at all costs.

Muldoons is the closest bar or restaurant to my parents house, so when I'm back visiting, I often stop in for a drink. It's not the most amazing bar in the world, but it is a great neighborhood bar. Pool table, popular karaoke nights, keno, free salty popcorn, lots of TVs with games on, friendly bartenders and waitstaff. They serve bar food but I've never actually tried any of it- i would say it's more of a drinking bar than a restaurant but maybe I've just been missing out. One negative- they don't have the NHL package so if you want to watch a game that's not on cable you're out of luck. Still, quality local divey bar!

Muldoon's is good, I often stop after work and drink with the regulars, the prices are good and the food is ok. I wouldn't drive far to come here but if I'm in the neighborhood I will stop in.

Muldoon's is my corner bar, like Roger's Roost before it. Is it perfect? God no. Is it the best bar ever? Hardly. Is it an honest place to meet up with friends, talk with strangers, and laugh at nothing? Absolutely. I love bars were an 70 year old can sit next to a 22 year old and it doesn't seem weird. Muldoons is that personified. If you come here looking for a Bennigan's, you are going to be disappointed. If you come here looking for a great neighborhood bar where everyone knows everyone's name...well, you came to the right place. The bartenders throughout my 8 years of being a regular have always been engaging and overly friendly. Everyone always seems happy to be there, even though they might be pulling a double, or didn't get a tip from the old timer at the end of the bar. Wednesday and Saturdays are karaoke night and insanely entertaining and they always have good, mellow live music Thursday and Friday.

Such a great little dive bar. Get the pizza and a pitcher deal. The pizzas a step above usual "bar pizza" and...well, how wrong can you go with a pitcher of beer? Karaoke is a blast here, and it's a friendly, welcoming crowd. Which is what a dive bar should have.

Been going here for years. Love the atmosphere here. Waitstaff and bartenders are friendly and I have always had good service. They have a great menu for a bar and the food is good also.

I've been going to Muldoon's for years and it never disappoints. It is a great neighborhood bar that knows what it does well. The burgers and pizza are always delicious. My only complaint is that I wish they would have more Michigan beers on tap.

I came here one Wednesday night a while ago at the insistance of my friend Dan. I haven't returned because of the distance to the place, but I had a great time. Muldoon's is a bar. It's a typical bar that serves food, fried food, with lots of televisions, beer signs and alcohol. The atmosphere was typical, but clean. The service was nice and friendly. The prices are reasonable. The menu is quite large and there is a lot of variety. In addition, there are food specials every night. The menu consisted of pizza, nachos, fried food, etc. It's your typical bar fare. One item that stood out was a hamburger where the bun was replaced with two grilled cheese sandwiches. It sounded disgusting, delicious and gigantic. I didn't order it, but I'd like to see someone eat it one day. The night we were there (Wednesday) was a Karaoke night. The karaoke hostess was on top of everything and was very nice. The karaoke was decent but friendly. There was a range from amazing singer to tone-deaf. It seems like there are a lot of regulars who participate in the karaoke. If you're in the area make you you check out Muldoon's. You will be pleasantly surprised.

A lovely little dive, "The Doons" as we've come to call it provides patrons with exceptional entertainment via sports and the occasional karaoke exploits. A great menu full of the good old american bar fare. Its within walking distance from home, so the Doons is our go to bar. Their pizza is award worthy, especially the white pizza; it will knock your socks off. Great specials with cocktail/beer of the month pricing won't break the bank like many other bars in the area. Its a great spot to watch a game, or snag a brew with the boys. Stop in for a cold one!

I take reviews like a grain of salt. It could be an employee writing good or bad stuff or anyone who just likes to complain. I have lived down the street from Muldoon's for 8 years and love the place. It hasn't changed. It maintains it's quaint neighborhood style atmosphere. I like the arrangement of the bar and tables and karaoke area which is always a blast. I always sit at the bar and watch in amazement as the waitstaff diligently and courteously waits on everyone, like they never miss a beat. I might be there an hour watching them work hard and I can't imagine them doing that level of work for a whole shift. I sure hope management rewards and supports them instead of breathing down their necks like some do. Oh, and the food. Great for bar food and the pizza is awesome. They also have the best appetizer platter I've had. And I like how the kitchen is open late sometimes so I don't have to go to a fast food joint. I like going there day or night.

Muldoons is the best dive bar around. The vibe is unique and fun. People of all ages -- young and old hanging out laughing and partying. The service is fantastic and there are really good drink deals.

I'm not sure if words can even describe my experience at Muldoon's. First of all, a friend of mine and I decided to head up there because of the close proximity to her apartment and because I had an inkling they just MAY have a megatouch machine. Bad news for me. They had a megatouch machine, but the two gents playing were not about to step aside. Well we were just up there for a few drinks so what did it matter anyway... Before we know it, there is full fledged karaoke going on. Now, if I have enough to drink-- I will sometimes partake in such activities... but after hearing the first few people sing.. HELL NO! Everything from the Monster Mash (no joke) to Fell on Black Days were belted out in utter perfection. I asked the bartender if it was a joke and if these people were all professionals... nope it wasn't. Well they had specials on Coors light drafts-- perhaps $1.75. Mine tasted pretty watery so I opted to go with whiskey for the remainder of the eve. After accepting the fact that my tattered voice was no match for this group of vocalists (yeah, they were that good in that I can call them that), I decided to hit up the pool table. It's fun and games until an eighty year old pool shark comes over and kicks your a**. No joke. The man was at LEAST 80... I believe his name was Roland... if you go there... DO NOT PLAY ROLAND if you want to keep a shred of dignity. So besides not being even remotely good enough to sing and getting beat by gramps at pool-- I had a blast here. I would definitely go back. The bartender told me I should come back on Wednesdays because they refer to it as "Scary-aoke" because everyone is THAT bad... maybe that will re-up my confidence.

Muldoon's is an interesting mix of people. Oakland students, country folk come down Lapeer Road, locals, and sometimes, my old work crew headed there on Saturday nights. It's a weird dichotomy of sports bar and karaoke that night, and the locals are out in force. The beer is served ice-cold in huge mugs, and I challenge you to not end up shitcanned by the end of the night. The drunker you get, the more likely you are to sing, after all;)

I came here for the night I turned 21 at midnight after having checked out the yelp reviews. I am not much of a sports bar gal, but this seemed like the comfy atmosphere that I was going for. I've passed by this intersection many times in my life, but have never paid much attention to what is there since nothing there has obvious signage and all the businesses around there have simple storefronts. Muldoon's outside isn't that welcoming, but the great service we had was plenty inviting. We went on a Monday night and there were only a few groups there. I figure since it was both a Monday night and this is an odd location for a bar, that's why it was pretty empty. We were able to sit anywhere and once we found our booth, we were promptly greeted by Kelly. She was bright and bubbly, but the genuine kind, not the "the second I turn around, I'm going to roll my eyes" kind. When she found out I was going to be turning 21 at midnight, she got excited and said she'd buy me a drink. When we were waiting for midnight, we got two apps. The jalepeno poppers weren't bad (although not spicy enough for my tastes) and the onion rings were perfectly cooked. When midnight rolled around, she excitedly brought me a pineapple upside down cake shot. That was followed by a raspberry koolaid then a poison ivy. All of the above were tasty, but the koolaid is my new favorite. Kelly was incredibly warm, animated, and efficient. She really wanted us, especially me, to have a good time, which made us fall in love with her. Had I not had plans in the morning and was with a different crowd, I would've continued imbibing, but I was pleased with my three drinks anyway. Among the three of us that were there, 8 drinks were had and two appetizers were shared. The bill came out to a whopping... $30.70? They only charged us for 6 of the drinks and two were on the house. Even for 6 drinks and two apps, that is a steal. There weren't any deals clearly posted, but we obviously got lucky with our choices. Because of the excellent service and cheap prices, I will definitely be back to Muldoon's.
